Aaron Rodgers Says His Rehab Plan Will “Shock Some People”

Making his first public appearance since tearing his Achilles on Monday, Aaron Rodgers spoke to Pat McAfee about the road ahead. In that conversation, Rodgers said that his rehab plan will “shock some people”. However, the veteran QB did not elaborate on what he meant by that. Rodgers underwent surgery on Wednesday, which was reportedly successful. “Surgery went great yesterday. Thank you for all the love and prayers and support. And thanks to the [goat emoji] Dr. El Attrache and his staff for starting me on the road to recovery,” Rodgers wrote on Instagram.

Earlier in the week, Rodgers also reassured fans that he had no intention to retire due to the injury. “Thank you to every person that has reached out, called, texted, DM’d, connected through a friend, etc. It has meant a ton to me, and I’ll try and get back to all of you soon 🥹❤. I’m completely heartbroken and moving through all of the emotions, but deeply touched and humbled by the support and love. 💔 Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I begin the healing process today. 🙏 ♾ ❤ The night is darkest before the dawn. And I shall rise yet again. Proud of my guys, 1-0 🛩,” the 39-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Jets Must Endure Without Rodgers

In Rodgers’ absence, the Jets have turned to Zach Wilson. Wilson, the BYU product who was the team’s starter in 2021 and 2022, is determined to show the team what he has learned. “I feel like I’ve been trying to copy every little thing he’s doing, from his footwork to the coaching tips he has given us. He’s done an amazing job, more than we could ask for as quarterbacks,” Wilson told reporters this week.

Furthermore, Wilson is also looking to shrug off the 2022 season and its many woes. The young QB was demoted to third-stringer late in the season after a terrible campaign in New York. “I don’t think I need to think of it like that, I think how I can go out there and play football will earn that trust back from those guys. I would say I have a very good relationship with everybody in this locker room. The stress of things sometimes can make you not love [football]. This year, it’s been: How can I spend more time with my teammates and coaches rather than focusing on being hard on myself? … Now I’m just having tons of fun.” Wilson will open his campaign as the starter against the Cowboys.

Kadarius Toney Puts Pat McAfee On Blast

Kadarious Toney took to social media to address one of his biggest critics after week one of the NFL season. “Pat McAfee be talkin like he really know shit. You just another goofy…chill.” McAfee has been one of the most vocal sources of criticism after Toney’s objectively bad time in Week 1. Toney had one catch for one yard on five targets and one rush for negative one yards during the Chiefs’ 21-20 loss to the Lions. Toney, the 20th pick of the 2021 draft, has largely been a disappointment in his young career. He had 420 yards on 39 receptions for the Giants in 2021. He was then traded to the Chiefs partway through the 2022 season and put up 171 yards on 14 receptions.

In short, Toney is not the WR1 that the NFL was hoping for. But clearly, he doesn’t appreciate the way that the former kicker and now ESPN personality has been talking about him. However, the best way for Toney to silence his haters is to have a consistent and productive season. With a solid o-line and Patrick Mahomes passing to you, there is no longer an excuse (other than injury) to not be putting up big numbers.

Can Toney And The Chiefs Turn Things Around?

The Chiefs will next face the 1-0 Jaguars in Florida this weekend. Things should go better for Kansas City, however. Chris Jones has ended his holdout, giving them a potent weapon on defense. Meanwhile, Travis Kelce is expected to return after hyperextending his knee before their Thursday Night Football opener against the Lions. Also aiding the Chiefs is the loss of two key o-line starters for the Jags with Brandon Schreff and Luke Fortner both expected to miss the game. Despite this, Mahomes will still need his receivers to actually catch his passes if the Chiefs want any chance of winning.

Meanwhile, the Jags also boast a potent defensive and a killer weapon on offense. On just eight catches in week one, Calvin Ridley had 101 yards and a touchdown. Despite missing the last season and a half of football, Ridley showed that he had absolutely no rust on his game. That could be a problem if Ridley continues to be Trevor Lawrence’s favored receiver. The Chiefs are favored by 3.5, but that’s an awful close margin for a team defending a Super Bowl win from earlier this year. Follow HotNewHipHop for all the latest sports news.

Pat McAfee Welcomed to ESPN With “First Take” Appearance

Pat McAfee is set to make his ESPN debut on September 7 when The Pat McAfee Show officially moves to the media giant. McAfee’s exit from FanDuel was one of several major talent moves that ESPN orchestrated this summer. A round of talent layoffs followed by a $2 billion betting partnership allowed ESPN to land both McAfee as well as Shannon Sharpe from Fox. Ahead of his debut, McAfee joined Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim on First Take to promote his new show.

The Pat McAfee Show will serve as the new follow-on from First Take during the weekday broadcasts. McAfee said he was “honored” to be following First Take in the schedule. “We’re here to celebrate sports for two hours here on ESPN. And three hours on YouTube and ESPN+,” McAfee explained when asked what fans could expect of the show. Furthermore, McAfee has some history with First Take. Molly Qerim used to co-host a 2am call-time show with McAfee while he was still active in the NFL.

Pat McAfee Officially Joins ESPN

ESPN announced that they had signed McAfee to a multi-year deal back in May. While McAfee already did color commentary for Thursday Night Football, the deal brought the full extent of his sizeable media empire to the network. “Pat is a proven talent,” ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro said in the statement. “He and his team have built The Pat McAfee Show into one of the most engaging programs in sports and all of media. It’s a destination for athlete interviews and breaking news, and the centerpiece of a growing community of sports fans. We’re honored to bring Pat and the show to ESPN through a multifaceted, multiplatform approach.”

Furthermore, McAfee expressed his excitement about joining ESPN. “We are extremely honored that ESPN is blessing us with this opportunity to be a part of the next chapter of the ESPN family. We do not take that lightly and are going to work hard to make sure this is a success. All parties involved agree the time has come for a bunch of sports stooges in a Thunderdome in Indiana to sprinkle in some fun and celebration of sport as well.” However, McAfee assured fans that his show would remain largely the same, albeit with a little less profanity.

“The Pat McAfee Show” Moves To ESPN

Pat McAfee is one of the most popular sports pundits currently on the air. Known for his viral reactions and outspoken personality, the former NFL punter has found both success and a major audience. He has worked with a lot of outlets over the years, from Barstool to Fox to ESPN. However, it seemed as though he had found a home on FanDuel. In fact, FanDuel was more than happy to ink a $120 million contract with McAfee to be the exclusive home of The Pat McAfee Show.

However, reports in March appeared to indicate that McAfee was looking to move on from FanDuel before the end of his contract. No reason was given for why he could be moving on from FanDuel. Despite this, multiple outlets reported that McAfee was looking for a new home.

Pat McAfee Reveals Brett Favre Dropped His Lawsuit

Pat McAfee has one of the biggest shows in the entire sports world right now. The former NFL punter has grown his brand a lot over these past few years now, and he remains beloved by fans. Overall, his show is a lot of fun, and he doesn’t mind popping off about current events. However, it seemed like he was actually in hot water with Brett Favre. Following the allegations that Brett Favre diverted welfare funds aware from Mississippians in need, McAfee joked about the situation. Although, Favre did not find this amusing and smashed the lawsuit button.

Today, however, it was revealed by Pat McAfee that the lawsuit has been rescinded. Based on McAfee’s comments, it seems clear that Favre didn’t feel as though the lawsuit was necessary. Instead, he decided to let it go with the promise that McAfee will just keep things lighthearted, moving forward. “My statements, expressed in comedic style were based solely on public information and allegations,” McAfee said. “As I have previously stated, I respect the hell out of Brett Favre the football player and his Hall of Fame career on the field, and I have no personal knowledge about any case involving Brett in Mississippi.”

Pat McAfee Speaks

Subsequently, Favre put out his own statement about Pat McAfee, on Twitter. Overall, it is clear that McAfee’s side of things was the whole honest truth. No matter what, this was quite the saga that confused a whole lot of people. “Like Pat said, he was attempting to be funny and not commenting based on any personal knowledge,” Favre explained. We’d both much rather talk about football.” That said, it seems obvious that McAfee will no longer comment on the allegations against Favre, anytime soon.

As it stands, the allegations against Favre still remain. However, it has yet to be determined how things will proceed. There is an investigation at play, all while the NFL legend has maintained his innocence. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below. Pat McAfee Comments On Brett Favre Lawsuit

The Pat McAfee Show has become one of the largest sports talk shows in the country. McAfee recently had the entire NFL world in the palm of his hands with his recent interview with Aaron Rodgers. Fans of the show enjoy McAfee’s style of delivering the news. The show doesn’t hold back. Sometimes, it may even cost Pat a legal headache. One of those headaches is coming in the form of former Packers QB Brett Favre.

A few months back, Favre issued a defamation lawsuit to McAfee. Favre claimed that McAfee was slandering his name when discussing Favre’s alleged involvement in a Mississippi legal case. The former QB has been accused of allegedly stealing funds from Mississippi Welfare. From the beginning, McAfee felt the lawsuit against him was baseless and would soon blow over. However, now it seems McAfee is ready for a legal battle if the decision to throw out the case doesn’t go his way.

Pat McAfee Offers Favre A Charitable Solution

In a lengthy Tweet sent by McAfee earlier today, the popular show host offered Favre an invitation. McAfee asked, “Brett, match me with a donation to a Big Brothers Big Sisters foundation in Mississippi. Let’s help out the next generation of Mississippians together. Let’s give some support to the citizens of your state who might need it a little bit, and let’s make something positive out of this sad clown show of a defamation suit with no merit.”

The situation does seem a bit odd, considering many have discussed the alleged legal issue. However, if Favre were to accept McAfee’s offer to donate money, it could smooth things over. Favre’s legal issues are far from over. Additionally, the Hall-of-Fame QB is still awaiting his fate in the Mississippi Welfare Fraud case. Will this situation blow over for McAfee? Does McAfee have a point on the lawsuit infringing on his rights? Will Brett Favre accept McAfee’s offer to donate money to the Boys & Girls Club? Let us know your opinions on the matter in the comment section below. For more info on this case and other NFL news, subscribe to HNHH.

Pat McAfee Could Be Looking To Improve Upon His $120 Million Deal With FanDuel

Pat McAfee is someone who is winning at life right now. Overall, the former Indianapolis Colts punter is one of the biggest names in the NFL media. Moreover, he is someone who works with the WWE as an on-air personality. McAfee is a hilarious guy and fans love him and what he brings to the media world. He is just a breath of fresh air, and there isn’t really much else you can say. McAfee is thriving and his status in the game grows by the day.

Just a couple of years ago, McAfee signed a massive contract with FanDuel. The sportsbook signed on for a $120 million contract over the course of four years. Consequently, FanFuel became the official sportsbook of his show. Furthermore, McAfee’s show was set to receive $30 million per year. Now, McAfee and FanDuel are in year two of that deal, and it could very well end sooner than anticipated. According to The New York post, McAfee could very well be looking for something better.

Pat McAfee Continues To Win

These reports come at an interesting time for the show. McAfee recently took the FanDuel logo off of his show. Meanwhile, he has stated that he is officially in “up to something” season. The Post believes there are numerous options at play here for McAfee. Ultimately, the most likely options are Amazon, or Google/YouTube. Both of these entities have deals with the NFL, which makes this a good fit for the former NFL star.

Additionally, this week has been hectic for McAfee. Much of this has to do with his show’s proximity to Aaron Rodgers. In fact, today, Rodgers went on McAfee’s show and revealed his intentions to play with the New York Jets. It was a massive scoop that showcases just how much pull McAfee has these days. Moving forward, we can’t wait to see what else he pulls off. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sports world.

Brett Favre’s Lawyer Thinks Shannon Sharpe & Pat McAfee Will Lose Defamation Case

Brett Favre has been accused of some very damaging crimes as of late. Favre allegedly conspired with the government of Mississippi to divert welfare funds. Overall, these funds allegedly went to creating a volleyball facility at his daughter’s university. There is an ongoing investigation into these accusations, although Favre has maintained his innocence. At this point, it remains to be seen whether or not he will be charged with anything. For now, there are no plans to charge him, but of course, that could change.

Additionally, Favre has launched a defamation lawsuit against the likes of Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe. This is due to their coverage of the subject, which Favre believes has been less than favorable. Favre and his lawyer Eric Herschmann are confident that this is worthy of a lawsuit. In fact, Herschmann went on Crain & Company on the Daily Wire where he made the claim that this case is a “slam dunk.” Herschmann said that while Sharpe hasn’t spoken about the lawsuit, McAfee certainly has. The lawyer thinks this has made their case stronger and that McAfee is digging his own grave.

Brett Favre Is Confident

“Shannon Sharpe, since he’d been sued, has been quiet. Pat McAfee keeps talking about it. In all of my years as an attorney and being a prosecutor previously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a defendant build a case against themselves,” Herschmann said. “His defense was ‘Oh, I threw in the word allegedly’ but two things is; the things that we cite, he didn’t throw in the world ‘allegedly,’ and secondly if he did any research or had a lawyer looking, that’s not really a defense.” This is an interesting analysis of the situation, although it is up to the court to make that final decision.

The entire Favre-Mississippi saga has been fascinating to watch. Many on social media have tried to bring attention to the case, although there is little that can be said or done right now. The investigation remains ongoing, and many are curious to see how it all plays out. Let us know what you think of all this, in the comments below. Moreover, he is someone who knows a lot about the game and brings an every-man quality to the media space. If you watch his show, you know exactly what we mean by that.

However, McAfee is now facing a bit of legal trouble. The source of these problems may actually surprise you. As it turns out, NFL legend Brett Favre is suing McAfee, as well as Shannon Sharpe. This all stems from commentary these men made in relation to the allegations that Brett Favre diverted welfare funds in the state of Mississippi. Favre is accusing McAfee of calling him a “thief” who steals from the poor. At this time, specific damages are unknown, although this is definitely a big deal.

Pat McAfee Speaks

With the news breaking last night, many were interested to see what McAfee would do. After all, McAfee isn’t your typical personality who will speak through a PR rep. Instead, he likes to address things head-on. Friday, that is exactly what he did as he addressed his audience and spoke at length about the entire situation. As you can imagine, Pat brought his signature humorous tone to the discussion, saying “Let’s ride this f*cker. I’m excited to see how it goes. I’ll see you in court, pal.”

No matter what, this is going to be a hard fight for McAfee. However, given the allegations against Favre, it is going to be difficult to prove defamation.
