Another user remarked: “The downside of elderly legends giving out the biggest award. Pair them with a younger star to make sure they do what they are supposed to do or tape the announcement of the ten nominees. Kid Cudi’s tweet about his love for Oppenheimer actually wound up making its way to the film’s star Cillian Murphy. In a new video for People Magazine, the cast of last summer’s blockbuster, including Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr., reacted to posts people were making about it.
“Vision Pro is [fire emojis] gotta watch Oppenheimer on this baby,” Kid Cudi originally tweeted, which was among the ones included by the publication.

Considering it was all the film’s actors except for Matt Damon, Snoop’s photo bomb was a hilarious addition. It’s such a random pop-up that it very well could have been Photoshopped. But no, it’s real.
“How did this happen?” Kimmel asked him. “Were you in Oppenheimer and I didn’t notice?”
“No, I wasn’t in the movie,” Snoop answered. “I happened to be at that party that night… I’m a fan of the majority of the cast on there, the director, the actors, and they asked me to be in the picture. They were like, ‘We can’t take a picture unless Snoop Dogg is in it.’ I’m like, ‘Alright.’”

Furthermore, he did not answer any questions about the additional federal indictments former President Donald Trump was handed earlier in the day. However, it’s no surprise that Biden chose Oppenheimer over Barbie. The President has previously expressed a love of historical biopics. In 2005, then-Senator Biden told CBS that his favorite movie was Chariots of Fire. The 1981 Oscar winner follows two British athletes who must choose between athletics and their religion while competing at the 1924 Olympics.
However, the question is now whether Biden will also be taking in Barbie. The ensemble comedy has been widely praised by critics. The film follows “Stereotypical Barbie” (Margot Robbie) as she travels from Barbieland to the real world to seek answers as to why her perfect life is beginning to be a lot less perfect. Furthermore, it currently holds an 88% critics rating and 84% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Perhaps Biden will catch a private screening at the White House. The meme got a lot of attention, including from Gucci himself: Today (July 28), the rapper actually shared a new song called “Woppenheimer” and even used @kyaxcheeks’ mock-up as the single’s cover art.
The final art only had minor tweaks from @kyaxcheeks’ original, like with colors and font choices. The two biggest movies in theatres right now, Barbie and Oppenheimer, are drawing audiences in for very different reasons. The former is all about fashion, feminism, and a fantastic soundtrack. On the other hand, the latter is far more chilling (and sometimes scandalous) in nature. More specifically, lead actor Cillian Murphy’s sex scenes with co-star Florence Pugh are causing quite the stir. So much so, in fact, that they’re being censored with CGI while playing in select Asian markets.
“Those scenes were written deliberately,” the Irish performer told the Sydney Morning Herald recently. “He knew that those scenes would get the movie the rating that it got. And I think when you see it, it’s so f**king powerful,” Murphy added of director Christopher Nolan’s work. He went on to state that the intimate moments between the two actors aren’t “gratuitous,” but rather, “perfect.” Cillian also made it known that Pugh is “amazing,” even if certain countries refuse to show her naked body on screen.
According to Newsweek, both India and Indonesia are playing edited cuts of Oppenheimer in favour of more modesty. Bangladesh is also following suit as more backlash ensues for the creator’s decision to quote from the Bhagavad Gita while Oppenheimer and his mistress make love. “I am become death, destroyer of worlds,” Murphy’s character says in the film, a line the real-life nuclear bomb inventor previously recited when reflecting on his deathly work.
Whether you’re team Oppenheimer or Barbie – or among those who plan on seeing both – we can all agree that it’s refreshing to see the internet discussing something other than Lena The Plug and Jason Luv’s sex tape, or the constant drama between Blueface and Chrisean Rock.
