Laray Da Savage Goes Through The Pain In “HeartBreaks” Visual

maxresdefault 2

Trae Tha Truth co-signed Laray Da Savage shows you can suffer from a broken heart any time, no matter who you are, but it’s how you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move on afterward in the new music video for the second single “HeartBreaks,” from the recently released Be Right Back album.

Fresh off the wave of the project’s lead single, “BBL,” Da Savage shows a more vulnerable side as he raps about the icebox where his heart used to be following a break-up. “I had my heart broken / But now my mind focused / I still ain’t get my proper closure / People goin’ ghost / The Devil want my soul / Why they hatin’ on me? All I did was spread love,” he raps.

In the Keanu Livigni-directed music video, Laray Da Savage endures the harsh coldness inside an empty home to resemble the pain created by the desertion and backstabbing that was committed by a lover. As the darkness surrounds him, the self-proclaimed “Voice of the Streets” reveals raw emotions and finds the needed clarity to focus on self-love and prosperity.

“I was feeling neglected by love and had a hard time dealing with heartbreak, so I channeled my emotions into the music and sang my heart out,” said Laray on the song’s conception.

Be Right Back, available now via Sankofa Sounds, is composed of 15 carefully curated cuts and was executive produced by Ricky Rich & Danny Bvndz of Studio 713. Along with “BBL” and “HeartBreaks,” the project also includes breakout tracks, like “Wavy,” “Beautiful Ending” and “Lose My Friends.” Laray is on his self-promoted album tour right now until May, hitting 14-cities, including New York City, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, and, of course, Houston.

An artist-to-watch of 2022. Eager to make this his breakout year, the Houston native plans to strike while the iron’s hot as he is currently working on the follow-up to Be Right Back, as-yet-titled, slated for release later this year. “It took a whole lotta pain & sacrifices just to get here,” Laray said in an Instagram caption with a photo of him, Trae Tha Truth and Danny Worldstar.

You may stream “HeartBreaks,” produced by Yette, above, including every digital streaming platform now. The video is also available to watch down bottom.

There’s a 1Take over going on right now in Los Angeles.

Just like 1TakeJay did a few weeks ago, 1TakeBoyz’s 1TakeQuan follows suit with a new project of his own, sharing the new mixtape Back 2 Back, which he accessorized with a new music video for the project’s first single, “Love Talk.” The tape and music video arrives on top of the viral wave Quan is riding right now due to the popularity of his latest track, “Single.”

With a runtime of 34 minutes, the 12-song collection spot 1TakeQuan collab with buzzing artists Big Hube, Tyler J, Chxnk, and, of course, the usual suspects Rucci and 1TakeBoyz. Along with “Single” and “Love Talk,” the project includes breakout songs “Chitlins,” “Bubble Coat” and “I’m Tripping.” Known for his playboy antics, Quan shows a different side of him in the music we rarely hear from a member of the rowdy crew.

On “Love Talk,” featuring 1TakeOcho and Tyler J, 1TakeQuan is an office manager seducing his co-worker as she flaunts around in lingerie, showering the recording artist with money. Ocho and Tyler enjoy bedroom rendezvous with beauties of their own while they rap hypnotizing verses of enticing persuasion. The video is directed by CreatedByBlu.

Back 2 Back is 1TakeQuan’s fourth mixtape. Breakin through in 2016, outside 1TakeBoyz music, Quan is best known for his 2019 collaboration with Roc Nation’s Kalan Frfr, “Freak,” the same year Quan drops his debut mixtape, Quebaall. Today, 1TakeQuan’s uncensored energy, unique rugged tone & unforgettable performance style has earned him the moniker of “ultimate ratchet” in the group.

1TakeJay Drops ‘The Morning After’ Mixtape with New Music Video “The Pay Back”

1TakeJay Drops ‘The Morning After’ Mixtape with “The Pay Back” Video

1TakeJay’s 2018 breakout hit, “Arco,” catapulted him into the limelight as one of the West Coast’s next-generation superstars. The unorthodox recording artist followed the debut with five full-length records, including the fan-favorites, 2018’s Wait Hol Up, and 2021’s 1TakeBae. The popularity led to collaborations with numerous hip-hop superstars such as Kalan.FrFr, Rich The Kid, Shoreline Mafia, and Mustard. Today, he continues his evolution with The Morning After, a 16-track mixtape with the release of the new music video for the project’s second single, “The Pay Back.”

For his latest tape, the 1Take Gang’s patriarch enlists the sounds of buzzing West Coast producers Scum Beatz, Flashy Ass Uno, LowTHEGreat, Bigg Boo, and more. For the lyrics, 1TakeJay delivers more of his unapologetic wordplay, charismatic energy, and comedic persona on every verse.

On “Pay Back,” directed by Carrington, 1TakeJay takes us through a day-in-the-life that includes hitting the studio, quality time with family and friends, interacting with fans, and reminiscing on those who doubt him. “Any B*tch that left wish they woulda kept me – yea I know, b*tch / F*ck that, this the Pay Back – B*tch,” he raps.

1TakeJay’s “Her Bad,” featuring Blueface, was the first single from the new mixtape released last month, and which the song’s music video has since accumulated over 500,000 views on YouTube. Blueface and 1TakeJay’s previous collaboration is the Compton recording artist’s biggest song to date in the 2020 hit “Proud of U (Remix),” which has over 16 million views on YouTube.

Along with Blueface, The Morning After includes guest appearances by Spank Nitti James and Rob Vicious. And with the two singles, the mixtape’s breakout tracks are “Pose,” “Yitties,” and “Cole Bennett.” The project is available everywhere via 1takejay Inc.
