NLE Choppa And Moneybagg Yo Are A Determined Duo On ‘Too Hot’

NLE Choppa is just a week away from dropping his second album, Me Vs. Me. It’ll be the Memphis native’s first body of work since his 2020 mixtape, From Dark To Light, a project that followed his debut album Top Shotta which arrived earlier that year. So far, NLE Choppa has been releasing singles at a steady rate and his latest one pairs him with fellow Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo. Together, the rapper bring their talents together for “Too Hot,” an determined single that showcases the focused energy the respective artists can bring to the table at a given moment.

“Too Hot” arrives after NLE Choppa teamed up with Polo G for a video to their “Unapologetic” track, a record that served as their second collaboration in as many months after they united for “Jumpin.” NLE Choppa also channeled his inner Santa for a holiday-themed video for “Drop Sh*t.”

As for Moneybagg Yo, the song arrives after he teased an upcoming collaboration with Kanye West. He also revealed his skin has been glowing ever since he quit drinking lean. Elsewhere, he granted the music world videos to “Scorpio” with Ja’niyah,” “Switches & Dracs” with Lil Durk and EST Gee, and “One Of Dem Nights” with Jhene Aiko.

You can listen to “Too Hot” in the video above.

NLE Choppa Responds To A Ridiculous Rumor That He Was Hospitalized After Drinking Breast Milk

As much as the internet and social media have been boons to the music industry — especially those artists in hip-hop, who can use these digital tools to build fanbases without the resources afforded to major artists — it can also be a detriment. This is mainly in the form of unsubstantiated and often ridiculous rumors that can spread online like wildfire in the time it takes the artist to leave their studio sessions.

NLE Choppa has found that out a few times, most recently this week, when a headline claiming he’d been hospitalized surfaced and circulated until he was able to call it out. While rappers getting hospitalized is unfortunately not all that unusual, in this case, the reason for his supposed medical emergency was so outrageous he couldn’t help but posit that “If you believe this, you just slow.” According to the headline, was actually from a satire page on Instagram, he’d been laid low after guzzling human breast milk, of all things.

It’s easy to see how his predilection toward homeopathic and alternative remedies might make him a ripe target for parody. In the past, he’s embraced vaccine conspiracy theories, offered chlorophyll as an alternative to lean, opposed McDonald’s’ collaboration with Travis Scott to promote vegan diets, and threatened to quit rap to become a full-time herbalist. Of course, there’s a limit to satire — and despite the page’s rather large disclaimer, there will always be those who are either incredibly credulous or who only hear the information second or third-hand. Remember, folks, always check the original source.

Polo G Showcases His ‘Unapologetic’ Demeanor With NLE Choppa In Their New Video

A year after impressing music lovers with his second album The GOAT last year, Polo G returned in 2021 with the goal of reaching new heights for his third project. That body of work would be Hall Of Fame and it became his first No. 1 album while giving him his first No. 1 song as well with “Rapstar.” Months after that project arrived, Polo G breathed new life into it with a deluxe reissue titled Hall Of Fame 2.0. It presented 14 additional songs including “Unapologetic” with NLE Choppa which he just released a new video for.

In the new visual, the two rappers flaunt their harsh and unforgiving demeanors backed by hard-hitting raps which they deliver in dark alleyways followed by scenes of cars burning rubber under the night sky. Polo G shared the new video just a couple of weeks after he delivered visuals for “Fortnight” and “Young N Dumb.” The track also marks Polo G and NLE Choppa’s second collaboration this year as they previously joined forces for “Jumpin’.”

As for NLE Choppa, he’s gearing up to drop his next body of work, Me Vs. Me, at the top of the year. It’ll mark his first project since his 2020 debut Top Shotta.

You can watch the video for “Unapologetic” with NLE Choppa above.

NLE Choppa Is A Ratchet Santa In His Holiday-Themed ‘Drop Sh*t’ Video

Plenty of rappers love to celebrate Christmas and get into the holiday spirit. After all, what’s more hip-hop than flaunting your wealth while giving back to others? But perhaps no one has delivered a holiday-themed rap video that’s as committed to the bit as NLE Choppa’s “Drop Sh*t” video. The Memphis rapper, born Bryson Lashun Potts, is a “ratchet santa,” doling out gifts and decorating his tree with bills and guns — hey, no one can say he didn’t lean into the role. He’s already been known to treat friends to lavish gifts, like in his “Mmm Hmm” video, and he’s picked up a few heavy-hitting friends of his own along the way, like 50 Cent, whose show, Power, NLE recently contributed to the theme song for — along with Rileyy Lanez.

NLE was just another teen rapper from Tennessee, until he popped off last year with viral hits like “Shotta Flow” and “Camelot.” Since his big breakout, he doesn’t show any signs of slowing down, releasing the Cottonwood EP at the top of 2020 and a series of other collaborations and one-off singles throughout 2021. This holiday moment might just be the cherry on top of a breakout year for him. Check it out above.
