Isaiah Rashad Sits Down with Joe Budden For First Interview Since Sex Tape Leak

Isaiah Rashad is breaking his silence.

The TDE rapper sits down with Joe Budden for his first interview since the February leak of a video that appeared to show him sexually involved with other men. Before the full interview is released later this week, Budden has shared a teaser.

“When all of the chaos broke and I saw the news and the headlines, my first thing as a journalist was, I’m gonna watch that interview when it happens,” Budden says. “I wonder who the hell’s gonna have to go with that.”

Rashad awkwardly laughs before Joe says, “And it’s me.”

He then goes on to question him about his sexuality. “For the people who didn’t know, how do you identify today?”

Rashad appears to stumble for words before the clip ends.

Rashad previously addressed the headlines during his performance at Coachella last month. He opened his emotional set with a video montage featuring soundbites from interviews with Budden, Boosie Badazz, and The Game, all weighing in on the sex tape.

Before leaving the stage, he thanked his supporters. “I see all the messages and all that sh*t, all the positivity,” he said. “Y’all ni**as done kept me alive these last couple months.”

Doja Cat Says Her Next Album Will Be Rap

Doja Cat is readying her next act.

In the wake of the unexpected news that she has had to drop out of her tour with The Weeknd due to tonsil surgery, Doja will have more time to work on new music, including her next album, which she says will be predominantly rap.

She made the revelation in the June/July 2022 issue of ELLE. “I haven’t started just because of all the rehearsal and touring. I’ve got a lot going on, but it’s coming up,” she told the magazine prior to canceling her tour dates.

The new project, which follows last summer’s Planet Her, is still in the early stages. “I have been getting songs and things sent to me…. Oh f**k, I wish I could tell people! There’s some really cool stuff that I got sent from friends. They’re all working on beats, and I’m giving them notes and they know what I want, so I’m excited.”

While her genre-blending sound incorporates R&B, hip-hop, and pop, Doja is a rapper at heart and was raised on artists like Busta Rhymes and Lauryn Hill. “When I was little, that’s kind of all I listened to,” she says, adding that her “real fans” know that she raps. “I’ve rapped since the beginning, and I really couldn’t even sing that well to begin with–I got a lot better.”

Despite the debate over what qualifies as rap, she’s learned to live with critics who don’t see her as a rapper. “I use my voice as a tool to create these worlds, and it’s fine if people think that I can’t rap,” she says, adding, “The only person who should be rating hip-hop is an OG or somebody who is respected in hip-hop.”

One rapper who continues to inspire her is Nicki Minaj. “I think her as a businesswoman really inspired me,” Doja says of her “Say So” collaborator. “The way Nicki can carry herself felt almost alien to me, because I was kind of a little runty kid, trapped in her room, just watching YouTube videos. And back then I was like, ‘Damn, that’s dope.’”

She also celebrated her fellow female rappers, including City Girls, Rico Nasty, and Saweetie. “There’s an explosion of amazing female rap talent out there right now,” she says. “It’s so cool to see that, because we didn’t have that when we were younger.”

Her collaboration with Saweetie, “Best Friend,” was nominated for Best Rap Song at this year’s Grammys, but she ended up winning Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her “Kiss Me More” collaboration with SZA. However, she says a future rap win would mean “everything” to her.

This is not the first time Doja has spoken about wanting to record a rap album. Back in December, she shared plans for a 12-song hip-hop album, produced by 9th Wonder and Jay Versace.

6ix9ine Blasts Fat Joe After He Calls Him a ‘Sucker’

6ix9ine has some words for Fat Joe after he dissed him in a recent interview.

During his appearance on Math Hoffa’s podcast “Expert Opinion,” Joe didn’t hold back while sharing his thoughts on the controversial rainbow-haired rapper.

“This ni**a’s a sucker, he’s a pussy, sucker, a bitch,” Joe said. “This type of shit this ni**a doing, I’m convinced he wanna die.”

However, he stopped sort of wishing harm on Tekashi, who ratted out members of his former gang Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. “I don’t wish it on him or nothing like that, but I’m convinced he’s miserable in his body. He can’t look in the mirror.”

Joe went on to say that he doesn’t have a problem with 6ix9ine being a snitch, but he does take issue with him pretending to be a gangster. “It’s about keeping it real with your people,” he said. “What’s going on right now is when keeping it real goes wrong.”

After his comments, Tekashi fired back at Joey Crack, claiming he’s just jealous of him. “Fat Joe is jealous of 69. 69 has done more in his young career than Fat Joe has ever done in his long career,” he told TMZ.

“Fat Joe said I was miserable and want to die? Fat Joe is miserable and wants to die because Fat Joe doesn’t have half of what 69 has in money and cars,” added Tekashi.

The “GINÉ” rapper also denied Joe’s claim that he is posing as a gangster. “Fat Joe said I’m not a gangster, it was all for promotion? That’s fake news. What’s his proof that I ever said that? There is no proof. He’s lying.”

In addition to beefing with Joe, Tekashi recently trolled Young Thug and Gunna after the YSL rappers were indicted on racketeering and gang-related charges.

Ex-NFL Player Brendan Langley Arrested, United Airlines Employee Fired For NJ Airport Brawl

Brendan Langley brawl

A former Broncos player is charged with simple assault after getting into a brawl with an employee at Newark Liberty International Airport last week.

Allegedly the United employee was scolding Langley for using a wheelchair to carry his luggage.

Witness video shows the worker for United Ground Express strikes ex-wide receiver Brendan Langley in the head first prompting Langley to slap him back.

The duo then exchanged more words at the check-in counter before the brawl escalated to the employee having a bloody face after they both squared off. Two other airport employees eventually stepped in to stop the fight.

It’s not yet confirmed what actually started the altercation. United Ground Express is a United Airlines subsidiary and says it has fired the unidentified worker while authorities say Langley has a virtual court appearance on July 20.
