Rick Ross Blasts 50 Cent For Siding With Drake Amid Kendrick Lamar Beef

Recently 50 Cent made some shady comments about his longtime foe Rick Ross on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast. He was asked why their feud had been going on for so long, prompting him to claim that Ross uses him for publicity. Fif insisted that he, on the other hand, makes headlines regardless. “Nothing else works for him,” he explained. “Outside of mentioning me. When things get bad, he mentions me, it gets covered… I get covered across the board, they get covered on the hip-hop blogs. It is what it is.”

Rozay eventually caught wind of the remarks and was quick to fire back. First, he took to DJ Akademiks’ comments section to write “Cuban Link [broken heart emoji].” This appears to have been a jab about 50 Cent’s ex, who was spotted with Travis Scott last month. Now, he’s taken to his Instagram Story to issue a formal response, and both Gillie and Drake caught strays.

Rick Ross Responds To 50 Cent’s Podcast Remarks

In a clip, he brushes off 50 Cent’s comments about their feud and instead questions his loyalty to Dr. Dre. “I just seen a clip of the Wallo show where he was interviewing 50 Cent and the other little dude asked him a question, small talk,” he began. “But ultimately the question that should have been asked was, you jumped out there during the beef. The West Coast vs. the Canadian… And I thought Dr. Dre put you on. You mean you went with the Canadian over Dr. Dre? […] But you did shut the f*ck up once the Canadian took the L, you got totally quiet.”

Future Versus Meek Mill: Who’s The Better Rapper? Rory & Mal Start Viral Debate

Hip-hop debates over the best rappers, artists, crooners, and lyricists are the lifeblood of the culture in its casual, everyday state. That’s why we love rap podcasts and commentators: we feel like we’re just as relevant in the media conversation, although that’s often a false flag. Nevertheless, thanks to the latest episode of the New Rory & Mal podcast, hip-hop Twitter got a new debate topic to spend an hour or two within: is Future a better rapper than Meek Mill? The titular co-hosts and their colleagues went over a few metrics to determine this, as both MCs display wildly different styles. But they also have enough collaborative history to make this a fitting and appropriate comparison.

For example, Rory suggested that while Meek Mill is probably the better rapper, Future’s music surpasses Meek’s. “You think Future raps better than Meek?” Mal asked one of his co-hosts. “If you put a beat on right now and these n***as start rapping right here, you think Future’s gon’ out-rap Meek? We watched Meek with matted braids on the corners of Philly rap his way to a f***ing private jet. Future don’t rap better than that n***a, man. Not on no f***ing day of the year. Future? He make better songs, he’s a better artist.” Check out reactions to this debate in the replies of the post below.

Rory & Mal Debate Future & Meek Mill

“I also don’t think Future tries to rap better than Meek Mill,” Rory added. “Like, I just think he makes great music.” “Y’all getting disrespectful,” Mal added. “See, now I know why Meek gon’ slap the s**t out of some of y’all when he see y’all.” “I understand why he’s so mad on the Internet. They’re playing with his name,” Rory posited. “No, Meek gon’ slap the s**t of of some [of you],” Mal responded. “He going back to jail, I’ma just say it. Meek’s getting ready to catch a charge. He catching a charge! ‘Cause y’all n***as is getting disrespectful coming into the holidays.”

Who do you think is a better rapper: Future or Meek Mill? Let us know who you’d pick out of the “Giving Chanel” duo.

Drake Drops “No Face” On Streaming Services, But There’s A Disappointing Catch

The second wave of “100 GIGS” content is following its predecessor’s lead: drop some songs on IG and bring them to DSPs little by little. However, Drake’s new tracks have also fallen victim to some big changes and plan shifts during this process, and streaming didn’t even have to be a factor for this to happen. For example, when we heard a CDQ version of “Supersoak (SOD)” via the @plottttwistttttt IG burner account, we realized that it no longer featured Lil Yachty as that track’s original leak did. Now, we have another example of this. The Boy dropped the well-received “No Face” on streaming services on Saturday (August 31), but Playboi Carti is no longer on it.

Furthermore, this is pretty disappointing and mysterious, as there’s no identifiable reason as to why the Atlanta rage exponent isn’t on the track anymore. But it’s not like he washed Drake on the track. Playboi Carti’s contributions were already just a minimal hook, and his collaborator definitely steals the show with his verses an energy. Still, we can’t help but think back on those Atlanta bars on Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and how they have aged somewhat poorly. Some name-dropped artists like Quavo support Drizzy to this day, but even though Carti escaped K.Dot’s mention this time around, this is objectively a failed attempt to get a few dollars, even if the reasoning behind the collaboration falling through probably has nothing to do with the beef or with the “colonizer” argument. At least he dropped “Circadian Rhythm” on DSPs…

Drake Drops A Playboi Carti-Less “No Face” On DSPs

In other Drake news, KAYTRANADA recently revisited the topic of why the OVO camp never reached out to him again to produce for Honestly, Nevermind. “[KAYTRANADA] was approached at a Coachella after-party in L.A. to make beats for Honestly, Nevermind,” a Vulture interview with the producer read. “Though he says it would have been ‘an honor,’ he later overheard that it fell through because his casual response — ‘Sure, hit me up’ — lacked fawning enthusiasm.” “Was I supposed to be like, ‘Oh my God, for real? Drake?’ I’m not like that,” he added.

Even though Drake hinted at this Playboi Carti collab landing on streaming in its full form, it seems like that didn’t work out. Or at least, not yet. It’s still possible that he will update more of these releases in the near future. After all, part of the strategy right now is hitting DSPs once the Internet takes these tracks for a test run and builds hype to influence its release methods and circumstances.

Vybz Kartel’s Ticket Prices For Homecoming Show Spark Major Debate

Vybz Kartel recently got out of prison after spending 13 years behind bars, and he hasn’t wasted any time getting back to work. The performer recently announced his first post-prison performance, which is scheduled for December 31 at Jamaica National Stadium. Of course, his supporters are eager to celebrate with him. Unfortunately, however, some believe that tickets are priced far too high.

For reference, tickets start at $125 USD for bleacher seats, $300 for grandstand seats, $400 for the infield standing area, and $1500 for center stage. There are also two additional tiers starting at $10K that offer attendees luxury viewing pods. The prices have sparked a major debate in The Jasmine Brand‘s comments section, as fans discuss whether or not they’re worth it.

While some argue that the prices are steep, many are coming to Vybz Kartel’s defense, noting that it’ll be a historic show. “He’s simply making up on some lost money!” a supporter writes. “They coming from all over the world and Japan to see the world boss. He know his worth,” another claims. Others aren’t buying it and would prefer to watch clips from the performance from the comfort of their own homes. “Hell no,” one Instagram user says. “How much parking lot going for?” someone else jokes.

Many also point out that these prices aren’t out of the ordinary for major artists, and that it’s likely he doesn’t have control over them. Either way, he’s sure to garner a huge crowd, as the performance has been a long time coming. What do you think of Vybz Kartel’s ticket prices for his upcoming New Year’s Eve show sparking a debate? Do you think they’re priced too high, or are social media users simply overreacting? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
