YG is seemingly getting acquainted with YouTuber and Kick streamer Vitaly. Overall, fans might remember Vitaly from his fake pranks from back in the day. Although some people thought they were real, it became clear that Vitaly was paying actors to buy into the scenarios. However, that revenue stream dried up and now, Vitaly is a Kick streamer who does elaborate “pedo hunter” broadcasts. These streams are usually extremely chaotic and involve violence inflicted on the “predator.”

In the most recent stream, YG helped Vitaly. In the clip below, you can see one of these busts that allegedly used a 13-year-old decoy. YG was ready to fight the man in the video, and there also appeared to be SWAT officers on the scene. It was all chaotic and a good example of what Vitaly does on the platform these days. Interestingly enough, however, some believe Vitaly’s stream are staged, just like his pranks used to be.

“Whole thing looks staged,” one person wrote. “This shit is fake bruh lmaooo,” said another. There is no concrete proof of this, however, it seems like things have changed dramatically ever since the stream in which an old man was knocked out cold on the street. Only time will tell if these allegations are ever proved to be based in reality. For now, however, Vitaly is making bank off of these streams and the salacious nature of them.

Ice Spice’s “Y2K!” Rating From Pitchfork Has Fans Totally Perplexed

This new wave of female rappers has had a lot of hip-hop fans, especially the purists, upset over their success. Artists like Sexyy Red, GloRilla, Latto, and Saweetie all have an abrasive and raunchy approach that has been nothing but controversial. Listeners continue to highlight that their sex appeal is why they are relevant, while blasting them for their lack of writing and substance. All of these criticisms are certainly being applied to Ice Spice as well. Seeing her immense success has angered the masses, and while the New Yorker might not care about the noise, her debut was set up to quell the hate. In the eyes of Pitchfork, Ice Spice certainly did that with Y2K!.

The music reviewing publication has long been viewed as one of little validity by fans of the genre. That narrative is being pushed once more after they gave Ice Spice’s LP a 7.6 out of 10. It seems that almost everyone has been dragging Y2K!, even labeling it one of the worst projects of the year. However, with this rating, it is officially the highest score out of all of the mainstream rap tapes in 2024. Some Twitter users were asking Hip Hop All Day if ScHoolboy Q’s BLUE LIPS counts. While that certainly is a compelling argument, the Cali rapper does not have the same pull as Ice Spice, especially numbers wise.

Ice Spice’s “Y2K!” Has Highest Mainstream Review By Pitchfork

In their write-up, Pitchfork does point out the lyrical shortcomings as being the major drawback. However, they feel Ice Spice put forth an album that “sounds like nothing her peers could make, swerving from one sonic inspiration to the next”. They credit her for her “agile and adaptable flow, assembling simple syllables into unusual cadences”. Overall, Pitchfork, deems Y2K! as ambitious and appreciate her willingness to make what she loves, instead of conforming to previous expectations. For context, Ice Spice received higher scores over her mainstream counterparts such as Metro Boomin and Future, Megan Thee Stallion, and Eminem, just to name a few.

Foolio’s Murder: Police Reveal Arrests Are Imminent

Tampa police have confirmed that they will be announcing arrests in the killing of Foolio at a press conference on Monday afternoon. The update comes after the rapper was gunned down at a Holiday Inn in Florida on June 23. He had been celebrating his 26th birthday at an Airbnb before being asked to leave due to exceeding occupancy limits. The group moved the party to the Holiday Inn where was he shot and killed in the parking lot. He had shared that he was in Tampa on his Instagram page prior to the ambush.

When DJ Akademiks’ posted the news on Instagram, hip-hop fans had mixed reactions to the update. “My city don’t play….we not jax….we send busses to prison everyday from county jail 7 days a week…in the Florida state prison system tampa is the deepest city up the road,” one user wrote. Another added: “Get those scoundrels! Murder isn’t cool, I wish I could step in and talk to those who think it is….. Someone like me who has real wisdom could teach these young children to stop the violence!”

Foolio’s lawyer, Lewis Fusco, was one of the first people to confirm the details of the rapper’s death. He shared a heartfelt tribute to his client on his Instagram Story. “While most people knew him as the controversial rapper and entertainer, I was fortunate enough to know Charles Jones, the man beyond the public persona,” Fusco wrote. “He was a kid who grew up in challenging circumstances, determined to defy the odds by any means possible and succeed in all that he did. His journey was marked by resilience and a deep-seated desire to strive for greatness.”

Lil Pump Slams Kamala Harris As The “Worst VP In American History” In Scathing Rant

Lil Pump went off on Kamala Harris in a rant on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday morning. In doing so, he argued she “isn’t even Black” and recalled her record as the district attorney of San Francisco while endorsing Donald Trump as his pick for president in the upcoming election. The drama comes after Harris took over for Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential race.

“Kamala Harris isn’t even black… she’s Indian,” Pump began before claiming, “She locked up over 1,500 people for weed related crimes and then laughed about it years later. The worst VP in American History. Trump 2024.” In a follow-up post, he captioned a picture of himself rocking a Make America Great Again hat: “If you vote for Kamala you ain’t black. TRUMP 2024.” In more recent years, Harris has become much more lenient on marijuana offenses, even supporting the decriminalization of the drug.

While some people are almost assuredly going discredit that, it makes sense. You can say what you want about his past decisions, but he is an established veteran in the hip-hop world. He’s also been one of the major faces of the genre over the last 10 years due to his hitmaking ability. You have massive tracks from his solo catalog like “ZEZE”, “Tunnel Vision”, and “No Flockin’”. Then, when you take a look at his features, they are arguably even bigger. Gucci Mane’s “Wake Up in the Sky” and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie’s “Drowning” are just a couple, but both total nearly two billion streams combined.

So, yes, there is a lot of validity to Kodak Black demanding such a high price tag for a show. However, the “BROTHER STONE” rapper is deciding to give back to his fans, as well as some of the up-and-coming talents. According to AllHipHop, the 27-year-old hopped on Instagram Live to offer about $50,000 in features to 10 newcomers. He did that before responding to fan’s request to get to pop out to his kid’s birthday.
