Post Malone Reveals Drinking Helped Him Cope With Culture Vulture & One-Hit Wonder Labels

Post Malone is an artist who is always adapting his style. He’s not afraid to explore what he can do, and that mindset is allowing him to dip his toes into the country space. In just a few days, August 16 to be exact, the Texas singer and songwriter will be delivering his sixth studio project, F-1 Trillion. The 18-song set will consist of numerous collaborations and duets with some of the most widely recognized stars in the genre. Luke Combs, Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, and Lainey Wilson are just a few to rattle off.

However, Post Malone doing this throughout his nearly decade-long run in the industry has been met with some backlash. That was seemingly the case, especially when broke into the hip-hop scene in middle 2010s with “White Iverson”. According to XXL, Malone spoke with CBS Sunday Morning during the recent filming for the music video for “Guy For That”. During his conversation with Anthony Mason, they reflected on what it was like for him to explode into what can be an unforgiving genre.

Post Malone Has Fought Through The Adversity

Posty says that he was dealing with a lot of “culture vulture” and “one-hit wonder” accusations. He revealed that it took a hefty mental toll, and it didn’t help that he was so young (early 20s). “It sucked. I was a kid”. He leaned on drinking heavily to numb the pain he was dealing with, but even then, “It’s hard not to [take it personal]”, Malone admitted. However, him continuing to create music helped him push through and become the chameleon-like superstar we know him for being today.

A concert that was meant to feature Boosie Badazz and other artists like Rob49 was tragically cut short after two men were shot dead on Saturday (August 10). Moreover, Boosie was headlining “The Pull Up Car Show” in Pacific Junction, Iowa, but before the concerts were set to begin, a shooting broke out at the event’s parking lot. Both fatal victims were in their late twenties and from Omaha, Nebraska, and the circumstances or motives behind this incident remain very unclear. The “Letter To The LGBT” rapper even took to Instagram after the fact, expressing sadness over the show being shut down and over what happened. Our prayers go out to the victims’ loved ones.

However, Boosie also spoke about waiting for his performance for hours, so it seems like he wasn’t properly informed of the shooting that occurred. He even asked fans to keep the party going with him at a nightclub, but it seems like he wasn’t very successful in these efforts (we’ll see if any club clips emerge). Back to the shooting though, according to TMZ, authorities relayed that they began an investigation into the fatal attack. The Baton Rouge rapper has had a bit of bad luck as of late when it comes to his proximity to crime, as he also witnessed police arresting Lil Reese in a since-cleared case.

Elsewhere, Boosie recently spoke on how seeing Lil Uzi Vert’s flamboyant Marc Jacobs campaign appearance rubbed him the wrong way. “I was pissed,” he told DJ Vlad. “Before [they were] all doing that I was kinda f***ing with [them]. I just don’t agree with all [their], like, s**t these [people] be doing out here. How’s somebody ever gonna raise a strong young man when you looking like a strong young woman? All these men who need to do that, your child looking at you. One day your child might ask you, ‘Daddy, why you got on nail polish and all this stuff like Mommy?’ What you do follows you.”

Meanwhile, he also had questions about Dwyane Wade’s sexuality after the launch of his nail care brand. “I don’t even got to say nothing,” he remarked on VladTV. “The world is going to say it. I don’t know, I mean… He part of the movement. I mean, I don’t like to say too much about those people because I don’t want that to be in my motherf***ing… When people think of me, they think of that. A lot of people do, but… I just, you know, he do what he do. He feel like that’s how he support his… It make me shake my head. Because, you know, I don’t like that, bro. When… I don’t know. He might be living through… I don’t know, I don’t know.”

Tyrese has fired back at critics of his performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Los Angeles Rams vs Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday. In addressing the beatdown he’s been receiving on social media, the singer revealed that the performance led to so many pre-orders of his upcoming album, Beautiful Pain, that his website crashed.

Now I be in pain like a motherf***er. I can’t f***ing wear heels, I can’t f***ing stand up, I can’t do s**t.

“Everything was going great, now a h*e is injured,” Cardi B continued. “S**t got me so f***ing tight. And the thing about it is, I’m not even a clumsy b***h. “If anybody knows where I could get a pregnancy waist trainer, a pregnancy faja, let me know,” Cardi B asked her viewers during the IG Live. “I need it right now ’cause this a** is not dropping. Overall the Island Boys are two twins who have angered a whole lot of people with their actions. Although they have tried to remain relevant, it has been extremely hard for them to do so. After all, their gimmick has run stale. We are no longer in the clout era. If these two wanted to be famous, we would have to roll the clock back to 2018 where anyone with their output would immediately skyrocket to internet superstardom.

These days, the twins can be found over on Kick, where they do some IRL streams that always seem to get attention for the wrong reasons. Over the weekend, the Island Boys found themselves at the center of some controversy as they were banned from the platform. Why? You may ask. Well, it is because one of the brothers slapped a woman in the face. This caused a huge commotion, and subsequently, Kick took immediate action.

Island Boys Continue To Do Ridiculous Stunts

It is interesting that Kick actually suspended these two given the fact that the platform has a horrible track record as it pertains to never taking action against its creators. Overall, Kick has fancied itself as the free speech platform. Moreover, they have been accused of harboring creators who are trying to talk to minors online.
