He shared that news the night of the album’s release, August 3, after fans were voicing their frustrations all day. Many have been dubbing this his worst project of his career thanks to poor mixing, vapid performances, and etc. This is something that the Georgia multi-hyphenate has done before, à la The Life Of Pablo. While there are quite a bit of people out there who feel these changes will help improve V2, others think there’s no saving it.
Regardless of what side you’re on in this ongoing discussion, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are living up to their promise. According to Kurrco, he shared the first of five tweaks to the 16-song tracklist. Whether or not we receive adjustments to each cut remains to be seen. For now, though, Ye and Ty have brought updates to “RIVER”, “530”, “SKY CITY,” “FIELD TRIP”, and “FRIED”. Kurrco provides extra insight for the first two, which are arguably the most coveted tracks, and the ones fans were disappointed in the most. For “RIVER”, the “OG drums” are back in the mix, so if you were able to hear the demo of that record, that may be a major tweak.

Then, for “530”, Ty Dolla $ign, as well as Alvin from the titular chipmunk band, have vocals added. However, at the time of writing, these changes have not yet been deployed onto streaming yet. Donald Trump discussed Kanye West during an interview with Adin Ross on Monday afternoon. In doing so, he labeled the controversial rapper a “really nice guy” but admitted he’s a “complicated” person. The topic of West arose while Ross asked for his input on several celebrities. “He’s very complicated,” Trump said. “He’s a really nice guy, but he can get himself into trouble and get some other people, but you know. He’s got a good heart, he does. But he’s complicated.”
Trump and West have been on good terms for years. West famously met with the former President in 2018, which sparked ample backlash from his fanbase. After Ye began attempting to run for the presidency himself, their relationship went through a bit of a rough patch. Following the rapper’s antisemitic tirade on social media in 2022, Trump wrote on Truth Social that West was a “seriously troubled man.”

Polo G Breaks Silence On His Mother Shooting At His Sister
June 21, a video surfaced on social media allegedly showing Polo G’s mother, Stacia Mac, shooting a gun at her daughter, Leilani In the viral clip, a gunshot rings off and Stacia is extremely upset as she is marching out of her mansion with what appears to be a gun in her hand. Stacia is yelling, “Get off my s**t. You tough b**ch. You tough b**ch,” while chasing her daughter. Another gunshot rings off and screams from a woman, presumably her daughter, are heard. Stacia then walks back into her home, still visibly upset.
Polo G addressed the video in a new interview with The Breakfast Club, saying that he will always intervene in situations like that because he does not want to see things “go too far.” That prompted jokes from Charlamagne, who pointed out that they were already fighting and shooting at each other. He remarked that since Polo G is from Chicago, his definition of “too far” is different from everyone else’s, which Polo laughed at.

She added that she fired shots because she wanted her off the property immediately. Leilani claimed that her mother was “jealous” of her and “wants to be a thug.” Polo G is in the middle of a difficult situation, one that Breakfast Club co-host DJ Envy asked if he started working to help resolve. He responded by saying he wants to help the two of them put their issues aside. At the same time, he also wants to “let it breathe” before attempting to do so.
Polo G recently confirmed that his next album, Hood Poet, is dropping on August 9. Polo first teased the album in 2022. However, his legal issues led to an indefinite postponement of both the album and his next tour. He was arrested in April on an illegal firearm possession charge at The Dominick Hotel in the SoHo district of New York City. Those issues seem to be behind him. At least enough for him to go forward with his album rollout. Hood Poet features collaborations from several big names, including Future, GloRilla, Offset, The Kid LAROI, Lil Durk, and more. Hopefully, Polo can mediate a peaceful resolution to the feuding family members.

Donald Trump discussed Young Thug and the ongoing YSL RICO trial in Atlanta while speaking with Adin Ross for a livestream on Monday afternoon. In doing so, he accused District Attorney Fani Willis of treating the rapper unfairly and described him as a “patriot.” Willis famously investigated Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.
After Ross brought up Young Thug and claimed he’s being treated unfairly, Trump agreed: “I heard that actually,” he said. “So, I’ve heard about him and I’ve heard he’s being treated very unfairly by her [Willis] and I would tell her she’s gotta treat these patriots that are being all– it’s terrible. They’re going after them.” He concluded: “He’s gotta be treated fairly.” The moment has been going viral on social media.

Throughout Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s beef dozens of celebrities were reacting to the songs that came from it. Any time they were vibing to each artist’s disse, the fanbase of that rapper would claim them as their own. To be honest, all of that was a big stretch. Maybe that certain person just enjoys the song for what it is and not for who its dissing. However, there have been some cases where the opposite is true, too. As for the reaches, LeBron James was essentially shunned from Drake’s fanbase due to him supporting Lamar’s tracks and The Pop Out. Because of this, some people were actually running with the idea that James had been favoring the Compton kid.
Joe Budden was one of the ones entertaining it, doing so on his self-titled podcast. What got him intrigued in this “passive-aggressive LeBron-Drake beef” was the fact that the Canadian rapper was congratulating the Olympic athletes, but not James. “I know nobody is paying too much attention to it, but it is a real thing. Ice Spice has responded to the reports that her debut studio album, Y2K!, only moved 28,000 units. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday afternoon, Spice thanked her fans for their support and reflected on how much she’s been enjoying her ongoing tour. She also brought up her first EP, Like..?, which only sold 15,000 copies.
“Like..? did 15k so thank u to everyone who supported me then & thank u to all the new supporters,” Spice wrote. “Y2K! WORLD TOUR been so fun that these numbers are cool and all but b*tch u should of seen that Boston CROWD last night. NYC TOMORROW.”

Lil Wayne’s Old Lyric Notebook On Sale For $5M After Ownership Dispute
One Lil Wayne fan may soon own his old lyric notebook, if they’re willing to put up a considerable amount of money for it. According to TMZ, website Moments In Time fought for five years to prove that they could sell the notebook. The contents of the notebook dates back to the earliest days of Wayne’s career as a member of the Hot Boys in the late 1990s.
Moments In Time originally listed the notebook in 2019. The site did so on behalf of a man who claimed to have found Lil Wayne’s handwritten lyrics in a car that used to belong to Cash Money Records. Once they listed the notebook, Wayne hit the company with a cease and desist. He then demanded that the notebook be returned to him. In February, Judge Kern A. Reese of the Orleans Civil District Court in Louisiana ruled that the site has the rights to sell the notebook, following no response from Wayne on the matter. Moments In Time confirmed as much in a legal document published on the sale page. The site originally posted the notebook for $250,000 in 2019. This makes the re-listing a twentyfold increase over the initial asking price.

Despite the minor legal loss, Lil Wayne has had another successful year. He’s been building a resume of great feature verses for the last several years. He added to that with his appearance on Cordae’s “Saturday Mornings.” Juvenile claimed that the original members of the Hot Boys were reuniting for their first album in two decades. However, Wayne has yet to detail his own involvement in the album, if any. B.G. and Turk have also been going back and forth. Any reunions will probably have to wait until those two resolve their issues.
Lil Wayne’s notebook is far from the first piece of hip-hop memorabilia to be sold off. Concert-worn outfits and personal items from an artist’s collection are auctioned regularly. Drake bought 2Pac’s ring for over $1 million in August 2023, one of the most expensive pieces of hip-hop history ever sold. Pac designed the ring himself, and he wore it during his last public appearance in September 1996. If someone were to purchase Wayne’s notebook, it would be the most expensive piece of hip-hop memorabilia to date. We’ll see if someone meets the steep asking price soon enough.
