Big Sean Suggests The Alchemist Collab Album Is In The Works

Big Sean may have just dropped his new album Better Me Than You, but he’s already thinking about the future. In fact, he has a lot more full-lengths where that came from, and he spoke briefly on them during a new Complex interview. Specifically, the Detroit rapper spoke at one point about the struggles of being a famous musician and how it can stress him out. While reflecting on these emotions, he revealed that one of his perceived weaknesses and difficulties is how he works on a lot of different things at a time. It’s here where fans got a hint about a full-on collab project with The Alchemist.

“I have been burnt out lately because I have chosen to take so much on by doing multiple music projects,” Big Sean told the outlet. “So what I mean by that is my album and then also cooking up with Alchemist too,” he said of the legendary producer behind his recent cut “Together Forever.” In addition, they also collaborated on Larry June’s “Palisades, CA,” and surely have more gems in the vault.

Also, Big Sean spoke on his current ideas for his TWENTY88 duo with his partner Jhené Aiko, as well as other loosies. He suggested that these two categories and others might end up on Better Me Than You or on a forthcoming project. “Conceptually, I got this song I did with KAYTRANADA called ‘My Life’ as the last song,” Sean stated. “That kind of concludes the album from a conceptual standpoint, and it’s basically more so saying it is the light at the end of the tunnel, and I wanted to end it like that.

“But then, after I had already turned it in and was releasing it, I was like, I kind of do want to go one more step further. Maybe even add an alternate ending, how they do with movies and stuff to the album,” Big Sean explained. “I’ve been looking at [the album] as a living, breathing being because I decided to put it out this week. I was going to keep holding onto it. I had a song with Nicki [Minaj] that I was working on. One of the TWENTY88 songs, I was like, ‘Oh, it kind of fits better on the album’. But it wasn’t all the way done yet.”

Ice Cube must be feeling pretty annoyed these days, as the Internet wants him to respond to four-year-old comments he made online. Moreover, folks recently resurfaced a September 2020 video of him explaining why the Black community should be skeptical of participating in electoral politics. “Be skeptical of anybody telling you to vote and not telling you to ask for anything or to tell you to just vote and not to get anything for your vote,” the Los Angeles rapper posited. “That’s not how it works. That’s not the process. You don’t vote just to vote. You vote because you’re getting something, or your community is getting something.

“A lot of people have been in that place for a long time and we ain’t got s**t,” Ice Cube continued. “That s**t is going to end. We are going to get what we are supposed to get, period. And anybody asking you not to ask, I wouldn’t listen to them because that’s the process. Every community asks for what they want.” Now, people are reposting and debating this clip, which eventually caught his attention.

“I truly will never listen to any idiot like yourself who is in bed with Steve Bannon,” one particularly disappointed Ice Cube fan wrote to him on Twitter. “You want to vote for trump? go right ahead a**hole.” “I’m not in bed with none of these clowns. So go get another booster shot and stfu….” the former N.W.A. MC clapped back. Of course, fans weren’t particularly receptive to this in the replies. Some blasted the anti-vaccine sentiment, whereas others think that his combativeness is making everyone misinterpret and misunderstand his main point. Voter skepticism and healthy bipartisan distrust is important, but perhaps not in the exact and particular way that Cube suggests.

Meanwhile, another hot take of Ice Cube’s these days concerns the Diddy scandal. “I believe he’s being targeted,” he claimed on the PBD podcast. “I believe someone has the power to pull the trigger to make this stuff, this domino effect, happen. He was cool up until a point, and this stuff started happening. So I believe somebody said, ‘Yo, he’s our new guy we’re on this year,’ or whatever.”

Moreover, fans took issue with this, either blasting the team responsible, thinking that the Bronx femcee wanted to send a subliminal message with this, or clowning the situation of a celebrity failing to realize what’s right in front of them. Against all these concerns and criticisms, she had enough.

“First of all we literally picked a random street because paparazzi was hounding us everywhere,” Cardi B explained via Twitter. “This was supposed to be my original first picture and we had to edit the photos in minutes because the shoot got leaked. Didn’t even have time to go over every detail because people were busy trying to expose my pregnancy as ‘aha’ moment. NLE Choppa says he has no plans to stop showing love to the LGBTQ community and thanked them for their continued support of his popular single, “Slut Me Out 2.” He made the comments while addressing criticism of and speculation about his sexuality during a recent concert. He also confirmed he’ll be making an appearance at Atlanta Pride.

“If you’re a person that had something to say about me regarding if I’m gay or if I’m this or that, well, this might make you a little bit angrier or more intrigued as you try to conclude who I am,” he stated. “I know who I am deeply and I appreciate who I am. I will be doing my justice by coming to Atlanta for Black Pride, showing love to the LGBTQ community, which has been one of the best audiences streaming ‘Sl*t Me Out 2.’” He concluded: “Just as they pour love into me, I am giving that love back.”

Joe Budden Isn’t Buying Travis Scott’s “DAYS BEFORE RODEO” Sales Predictions One Bit

It’s safe to say that Travis Scott made a lot of his fans’ dreams come true a couple of weeks ago. After over a decade of waiting and praying, the Houston artist put DAYS BEFORE RODEO onto streaming services. Additionally, physical copy enthusiasts are jumping for joy because you are able to buy either it on vinyl or on CD format. Furthermore, it wouldn’t be a Travis Scott roll out if there weren’t any bundles. La Flame dropped quite a few of them where you could grab a t-shirt or a sweatshirt. Lastly, he sent fans into a frenzy by releasing five separate deluxe options, in addition to live and chopped ‘n screwed renditions.

With so many ways of packaging the project and do to it being a fan-favorite tape, DAYS BEFORE RODEO is looking to have the biggest first week for any rap album this year. We won’t be sure on what that number is until tomorrow, but before it was slated to move around 217,000 copies with over 80 percent of them being physical sales. With all of this in mind, it’s clear that Scott has been dominating hip-hop fans’ attention over these last 14 days or so. He’s even taking numbers away from some pretty notable names like YG and Cash Cobain and will most likely do the same to Destroy Lonely and Big Sean.

Fans Are Split On Joe Budden’s Theories About Travis Scott

However, even with Travis Scott having massive pull, Joe Budden is not accepting that these numbers are real. In the most recent episode of his podcast, him and the panel discussed this and how a tech company is inflating them. You can look at his skepticism in two ways. Firstly, he could be just flat out hating on Scott and discrediting how massive of an artist he is. Or he knows something that we don’t and he’s exposing people. Fans are shockingly split on this, with some pulling up the streaming stats to help make Joe’s point. Others feel that he doesn’t understand the project’s and the artist’s overall magnitude. 50 Cent says he’s spent over $24 million on legal fees throughout his career. He discussed the various troubles he’s faced during an appearance on the latest episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo. He’s proven time and again that he’s not afraid of taking legal action over his grievances.

“I’ve spent $24 million in my career, so far. I can’t wait till I get rich. Just on lawyers,” 50 revealed. “I’ve spent $24 million in my career on legal fees.” From there, he explained that he doesn’t even have a manager and instead relies on a “general council.” He explained: “Why would I need you to manage me for? I’ve done every deal a 100 f**king times. They all want to work at a percentage and you want a percentage from me? You didn’t build this, I built this.”

In doing so, he noted that Dame Dash scoffed at 50 celebrating the situation and downplayed the value of $1 million at the time. In turn, 50 joked about Dame’s current financial drama. “The only person that pointed out that a million dollars was no money was Damon Dash, and he has no money now,” he said. “‘That ain’t no money. After you get a watch, a chain, you look out for the homies and you do this, that and the third… it’s nothing.’ And I was like, ‘N***a, I’m from 134th Street.
