Lakers Reportedly Targeting This Young Knicks Star

If you are a Lakers fan, you know that your team is in need of some help right now. They are starting to fall behind in the Western Conference, and it is going to take a small miracle to actually make the playoffs. Overall, it is just a negative situation, especially with Anthony Davis gone.

In just a couple of weeks from now, it will be the trade deadline. Of course, the trade deadline is one of the best opportunities for a team to get better. However, it will be hard for the Lakers to do anything as their assets have dwindled over the last few years.

Lakers & Knicks

According to Sean Deveney of Heavy.com, the Lakers are reportedly looking toward a young player for the New York Knicks. That player just so happens to be Cam Reddish. Reddish is a player who some feel hasn’t truly gotten a fair shake with the teams he has played for.

Moreover, in terms of assets that would be going back to New York, it is believed that Patrick Beverley and Kendrick Nunn would have to be part of the deal. Overall, this is not the biggest trade the Lakers could do, however, every little bit helps at this point.

LeBron James wants to win his fifth title, and the Lakers cannot do it as presently constructed. However, it’s hard to see Reddish truly moving the needle here. No matter what, the Lakers need more.

Luka Doncic Drops Historic 60-21-10 Triple-Double in Win Over Knicks

Luka Doncic is HIM. The Dallas Mavericks superstar achieved a triple-double that no one in league history has ever achieved. He scored 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists in an insane comeback victory over the New York Knicks.

Doncic’s performance came with an intentionally missed free throw, which he rebounded and put back in to take the game to OT, which he thought was the game-winner. “Then I see it’s tied. I was like, ‘Oof.’ I didn’t know what to do,” Doncic said to ESPN.

The performance topped Dirk Nowitzki’s franchise scoring record while setting a new career high for Doncic in rebounds.

Doncic shot 21 of 31 from the field and 16 of 22 from the foul line. He scored 38 points after halftime to help the Mavericks overcome a 12-point hole.

You can see the highlights below.

Knicks Hit With Stiff Tampering Punishment

This offseason, the New York Knicks splurged in free agency and got themselves Jalen Brunson. At the time, it was believed that the signing was simply too rich for a player of Brunson’s skill. However, Brunson has proven his critics wrong as he has been amazing so far this season.

Consequently, Brunson has been able to help carry the Knicks to an 18-13 record. The team is starting to make big moves in the Eastern Conference and there is a sense that they could even win a playoff series. Additionally, they are on an eight-game winning streak.

Knicks Caught Tampering

Unfortunately, like many free agent signing throughout the NBA, the Knicks and Brunson were a case of tampering. With so many deals taking place just mere seconds after the deadline, it seems likely that teams are in the business of tampering. Today, however, the Knicks were officially punished for the offense.

In the NBA Communications press release below, you can see that the league has officially taken away the Knicks’ second-round pick in 2025. Second-round picks seem to be the common punishment for tampering at this point. Overall, it is hard to be surprised by this decision.

Considering the Knicks have gotten themselves a future franchise staple in Brunson, there is a good chance they don’t care about the punishment. Second-round picks rarely pan out, and most teams tend to trade these away. Regardless, other teams have been put on notice that the NBA will not turn a blind eye to tampering.

It will be interesting to see if any other teams get hit with similar punishments this season. That said, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world. Additionally, give us your thoughts on this punishment, in the comments down below.

The New York Knicks got their new guard in Jalen Brunson on a four-year, $104 million deal, but what else will it cost them?

According to ESPN the Knicks are being investigated for tampering in their prized offseason signing.

Brunson had numerous releationships to the organization before joining, including his father Rick Brunson who was hired to be a Knicks assistant. Before the trade, the Knicks made numerous trades to open cap space for Brunson.

The anti-tampering penalties raised since they were first introduced, leading to a maximum fine of $10 million.

The Philadelphia 76ers are also currently being investigated for tampering via their deal with James Harden making way to sign for PJ Tucker.

SOURCE SPORTS: Knicks Add Former Rival Tim Hardaway As a Talent Scout

653591.jpg.0

It appears the New York Knicks have locked in an old rival from the 90s to help mold the franchise’s future.

On Thursday, Marc Berman of the New York Post reported that the Knicks had hired Tim Hardaway Sr. as their newest scout. The franchise didn’t publicly announce their acquisition of the former star point man this season.

Hardaway served as an assistant coach to former Detroit Pistons’ head coach Stan Van Gundy from 2014-to 2018.

Hardaway was the heart and soul of the 90’s Miami Heat, who had lengthy playoff battles with the Knicks throughout the decade. Before that, he was a member of the RunTMC Golden State Warriors and Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin. In their time, the trio was an offensive nightmare for their opponents.

After almost 20 years of waiting from retirement, his name is set to be immortalized in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2022 on September 10th. If Hardaway can bring anything to a dormant Knicks franchise, scouting-wise, it would be a needed welcome to the organization.

The LOX had one of the more memorable moments of 2021 thanks to their Verzuz against Dipset. Led by Jadakiss, the group put on an absolute show in front of thousands at Madison Square Garden this past summer. It turned out to be one of the best Verzuz matchups in the series’ history, and it was the start of many big moments for them. Others inclkude an appearance on Ye’s Donda album and receiving the key to their hometown of Yonkers. For their latest act, they returned to Madison Square Garden for a fiery freestyle.

The LOX’s Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Styles stood tall in the New York Knicks’ home arena to show off their bars. The performance came after a partnership with high-end clothing brand Kith and its founder and designer Ronnie Fieg, which resulted in the trio delivering their raps while wearing clothes from the unreleased collection “Kith x Nike x New York Knicks.”

For the freestyle, Jadakiss led the way with lines like “Coming from where we from, the triple threat is all we know / Shoot the jumper, you pass it, or you take it to the hole.” Sheek Louch soon joined him to supply some additional energy to the freestyle. “New York, New York, what’s bigger than this / The home of Jay-Z and Nas, matter of fact, the home of Biggie and Kiss / Donnie and P L-O-X way before Cube we were the big three,” he rapped. Finally, Styles P stepped into the spotlight to close things out, rapping, “Dark on the streets, Clarks on the feets/ even when I’m solo, I’m deep / I ain’t coming to sleep, but you could go to sleep, yeah I’m headed to the Mecca roll a leaf.”

This comes almost a year after Kith partnered with Dipset for a similarly-styled freestyled.
