Aaron Rodgers Advocates For Legalization Of Psychedelics In Keynote Speech

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has publicly advocated for the legalization of psychedelics. He did so at a conference hosted by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, the US’ largest psychedelics advocacy group. Rodgers is famous for his use of psychedelic substances, notably Ayahuasca.

“Is it not ironic that the things that actually expand your mind are illegal and the things that keep you in the lower chakras and d*mb you down have been legal for centuries?” said Rodgers, who is also a prominent anti-vaxxer. Later, speaking with podcaster Aubrey Marcus, Rodgers pointed to his usage of Ayahuasca during the 2019 season.

“You know, it’s going to be hard to cancel me, because, you know, the previous year, 26 touchdowns, four interceptions. We had a good season. Ayahuasca, 48 touchdowns, five interceptions, MVP. What are you going to say?” Rodgers argued.

Rodgers Speaks On Acceptance Of Psychedelics

Rodgers’ comments come after voters in Colorado chose to decriminalize psychedelic mushrooms, becoming the second state to do so after Oregon. While advocates claim that psychedelics have proven effective in the treatment of PTSD. However, medical experts argue that more research is needed to better understand the efficacy and side effects of the substances.

However, Rodgers firmly believes in their positive properties. “The response from other people in the sports industry has been incredible. To see basketball players and baseball players and surfers, entertainers and my own teammates and colleagues across the league reach out and either share their story about their own medicine journey or ask to be a part of an upcoming one was pretty special.”

Furthermore, Rodgers also slammed his critics and detractors. “Because I guarantee you all these bums who want to come after me online about my experience and stuff, they’ve never tried it,” he added. “They’re the perfect people for it. We need to get these people taking it.”

Not Rodgers’ First Controversial Opinion

Advocating for psychedelics is far from Rodgers’ first controversial opinion. As mentioned, the veteran quarterback became one of the most prominent critics of vaccines in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Aaron Rodgers also harbors some debatable beliefs about 9/11.

According to Deshone Kizer, who backed up Rodgers in Green Bay in 2018, Rodgers is very interested in conspiracy theories. “Do you believe in 9/11?” Kizer claims Rodgers asked him during one hangout. Kizer made his claims in 2022 during an interview with Adam Breneman. This is not to say that Rodgers is an out-and-out 9/11 truther, but regardless.

Furthermore, Rodgers will make his Jets debut on September 11. The Jets are headlining a Monday Night Football matchup with the division-rival Buffalo Bills. The Bills are the team to beat in the AFC East and have won the division three years in a row. However, many pundits believe that the addition of Rodgers immediately makes the Jets a contender this year.

Two Players Accuse The New York Jets Of Mishandling Injuries

2023 was all set to be the Year of the New York Jets. They swung a blockbuster trade to bring Aaron Rodgers to MetLife Stadium. That launched them right into playoff contention. Around Rodgers was a young, exciting core of players who could turn the long-ailing franchise into a perennial contender.

However, there has been trouble bubbling under the surface for some time. First, there was Denzel Mims, the intriguing 2020 rookie who became a terrible sophomore receiver and then beefed with the team with his lack of playing time. Then there’s the fact that O-Line cornerstone Quinnen Williams has removed the team name from his Twitter bio amid tense contract discussions. Now, much more serious claims have emerged.

Mekhi Becton and Ty Johnson Accuse Jets of Mishandling Injuries

Two players have both come out with bombshell claims that the New York Jets mishandled injuries sustained by the players. The first claim came from running back Ty Johnson. A sixth-round pick by the Lions in 2019, Johnson joined the Jets in 2020. However, Johnson was waived earlier in 2023 after sustaining a torn pectoral during non-team workouts. After telling the Jets’ medical staff, Johnson claims he was pressured into undergoing surgery. After eventually agreeing to the procedure, Johnson was cut just days later. As a result, Johnson believes that this has negatively affected his chances to sign with a new team.

One day later (May 22), offensive tackle Mekhi Becton came forward with similar claims. While Becton is still on the team, he has put the medical staff on blast. His claims dated back to a position change ahead of the 2022 season. “I got forced to play a position I don’t play, and then I was pretty much telling them I wasn’t feeling good the whole time throughout camp, and I was told I shouldn’t be complaining,” Becton said. “Go out there and do it. I was limping throughout the whole practice, and I just took a step and my knee buckled and I got hurt again and had to get reconstructive surgery.” The Jets have not responded to either allegation but especially given that Becton is still with the team, it’s still to be a very tense period in New York.

Bill Belichick Made A Draft Day Trade For A Hilarious Reason

The 2023 NFL Draft set a record for the most number of trades in a single draft. However, among the flurry of first-round trades, the Patriots made a small but unusual swap. Initially drafting at #14, New England dropped back three places in a trade with the Steelers. The Steelers also sent a 2023 fourth-round pick to New England.

The Steelers took Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones with the 14th pick. The Patriots nabbed Oregon corner Christian Gonzalez with the 17th and Maryland kicker Chad Ryland in the fourth round. However, people thought that the Steelers got off lightly in terms of draft compensation to move up in the first. Turns out they did, simply because Bill Belichick hates the New York Jets.

Belichick Gave Steelers An Easy Trade To “Fuck The Jets”

The New York Jets went into the 2023 NFL Draft needing help protecting Aaron Rodgers. However, sitting at #15 with little draft capital, they could only watch as the top o-line prospects were drafted. However, as the clock on the Patriots’ #14 pick began, there were a handful of high-quality o-line prospects still on the board. The Pats could have taken an o-lineman here but Bill Belichick loves a cornerback. And then the Pats traded back three spots and the Steelers took an o-lineman. Turns out, Belichick literally did it to fuck over the Jets.

“They should have had to give up a [third-round pick] and not a four to move up there,” one NFL general manager said anonymously to The Washington Post. “Belichick did it just to fuck the Jets. He sold low because he knew the Steelers were going to take the kid the Jets wanted to take.” Belichick has a lot of history with the Jets, both within their organization and facing them as a division rival. Moreover, Belichick could have taken Jones himself, but to him, it was even funnier to watch the Jets lose out of their prospect of choice to someone else entirely. Jets To Sign Veteran WR Randall Cobb

The New York Jets spent the offseason building a home for Aaron Rodgers. They added one of his go-to receivers in Allen Lazard. Then they signed his former backup, Tim Boyle. Eventually, they were able to land Rodgers himself for a package of draft picks. While Rodgers comes with some risks, he immediately launches the Jets into playoff contention.

Aaron Rodgers inherits a young, strong wide receiver room to work with. As mentioned, there’s former Packers teammate Allen Lazard. But you also have 2022 offensive rookie of the year Garrett Wilson, Denzel Mims, and veterans like Corey Davis. The Jets did not address skill positions before the fifth round of the draft. Overall, they took a fifth-round running back and a seventh-round tight end. However, it appears that they are not done signing talent just yet.

Rodgers and Cobb Reunited In New York

Randall Cobb has been around the NFL for a while. Drafted in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Cobb was one of Rodgers’ primary targets through the 2018 season. However, injuries began to wear on Cobb and he was cut by the team after the season. Despite this, he returned to Green Bay in 2021 after single-season stints with the Cowboys and Texans. Reportedly, re-signing Cobb was one of Rodgers’ conditions to stay with the team in 2021.

However, according to new reports, Cobb will soon be following Rodgers to New York. This comes as little surprise, as Cobb was named on Rodgers’ wish-list that he provided to the Jets during negotiations in March. Cobb was 7585 career receiving yards and 53 career touchdowns. His best season was in 2014, when he recorded 1287 yards and 12 touchdowns. Cobb holds the number five spot on the Packers all-time receiving list. As for other players on Rodgers’ list, only one remains theoretically available. That player is former Packers tight end, Mercedes Lewis. However, it seems unlikely that the Jets will add Lewis, given they have five tight ends, most of them veterans, on the roster heading into training camp. Aaron Rodgers Currently Owed $107M In 2024

Aaron Rodgers finally became a New York Jet this week. The Jets spent heavily to bring Rodgers to New York. Along with swapping 2023 first-round picks, the Jets also sent a 2023 second-rounder, a 2026 sixth-rounder, and a 2024 conditional second-rounder. The 2024 pick becomes a first-round pick if Rodgers plays 65% of the Jets snaps this season. Rodgers is expected to eclipse that mark easily barring injury, mid-season retirement, or benching. That package got them the four-time MVP.

The move immediately shot the Jets into playoff, and even Super Bowl, contention. Rodgers is a seasoned veteran who can bring stability to the quarterback spot for an increasingly young roster in New York. However, the uncertainty around Rodgers’ future may cost the Jets big.

Rodgers Carries A $100M+ Price Tag In 2024

Aaron Rodgers signed a 3-year extension with the Packers last year. That contract is worth $150 million and carried over to the Jets when they traded. In that form, the Jets would have had a $15.8 million cap hit. However, according to ESPN, the Jets and Rodgers have restructured his 2023 payout to stop the team from going over the cap. The Jets added additional space by also restructuring the contract of John Franklin-Myers. The team is currently around $7 million under the cap. However, the restructuring has left the Jets with a massive pay obligation next year.

In 2023, Rodgers will earn the base minimum salary of $1.165 million. This will allow the Jets to sign draft picks and any additional free agents. However, that pushes a vast amount of money into 2024. Rodgers will be owed $107 million. $58.3 million of that will be his option bonus from this year, which has been converted into a base salary for next year. Another $47 million comes from the option bonus for next year. Finally, there is the $1.21 million minimum salary. All that totals $107 million. However, Rodgers has also indicated that he is not with the Jets for a “one-and-done” season and that he wants to add more titles to the Jets locker room. Furthermore, Rodgers and the Jets have indicated that additional restructuring could take place over the season. Rodgers’ current contract runs until 2026. Do you think the Jets overpaid for Rodgers?

Aaron Rodgers Speaks With New York Media For First Time

Aaron Rodgers has had a rather busy week. On Monday, it was announced that the Green Bay Packers had officially traded Rodgers. Rodgers requested a trade to the New York Jets. A deal that the Packers obliged and made possible for Rodgers. On Wednesday, Rodgers was officially welcomed to the franchise with a press conference. The first press conference between Rodgers and the New York media since the trade was announced.

During the press conference, Rodgers discussed his time with Green Bay. As well as what led to the frustrations between him and the franchise. According to Rodgers, the lack of communication between the franchise and himself ultimately led to his change of heart. Rodgers mentioned that he told the team he wanted to be traded or that he would retire. The new Jets quarterback is excited about his new start with the team. Check out some of the clips from the press conference below.

Aaron Rodgers Ready For Next Chapter

Rodgers also had a little fun with his new team. During the press conference, Rodgers mentioned that the team’s Super Bowl III trophy looks awfully lonely. The former league MVP is no stranger to winning a Super Bowl. Rodgers helped lead the Packers to a Super Bowl back in 2011. However, Rodgers and the Packers never appeared in another Super Bowl after 2011. Also, Rodgers knows his window of winning another ring is closing sooner rather than later. The news Jets QB believes the team has the pieces to be a viable threat in the NFL immediately.

Rodgers mentioned the Jets as being the best destination for a win-now scenario. Older quarterbacks have seen success recently when making a tough move. Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl in his first year with the team back in 2021. Rodgers is looking at that blueprint when seeing where the Jets sit in the current landscape. First Look At Aaron Rodgers With New York Jets, Twitter Reacts

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have finally parted ways. The veteran QB had requested a move to the New York Jets a while back. However, it seemed that the deal would never be complete. According to reports, the Packers and Jets couldn’t come to an agreement on the compensation for Rodgers. However, the two franchises finally agreed, sending Rodgers to the Big Apple. On Wednesday, Rodgers arrived at the Jets facility in all his new team’s gear.

The move comes just days before the 2023 NFL Draft. Some in the NFL felt it would be around this time when fans heard the news Rodgers was being dealt. Now Rodgers is rocking a different shade of green. However, the look may be hard to get used to for some. Fans quickly took to Twitter to describe how they felt seeing Rodgers with a different team. Check out some of the best reactions of Rodgers in his new gear below.

Aaron Rodgers Spotted In Jets Green

As you can see from the reactions, Jets fans believe they have hit the lottery with Rodgers. The Jets have been a franchise in disarray for quite some time. However, bringing in head coach Robert Saleh, the team has slowly looked to be righting the ship. Bringing in someone of Rodgers’ caliber to play quarterback could be the spark this franchise needs. However, last season wasn’t one of the stronger seasons of Rodgers’ career from a statistical standpoint.

Rodgers finished last season with 26 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions. The touchdown number is a massive drop from the two seasons before. In which Rodgers was named league MVP. However, Rodgers’ numbers may not be all on him. Rodgers had been frustrated with the Packers inability to bring in talent at the receiver position. Those numbers could support Rodgers’ argument with the team. However, Rodgers has moved on and seems happy going into a new journey with the Jets. Will Aaron Rodgers instantly make the Jets one of the best teams in the AFC? Let us know what you think about the move in the comment section. For the latest NFL news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Aaron Rodgers Shares Heartfelt Goodbye To Packers Fans

Aaron Rodgers finally got his wish as the Green Bay Packers sent the QB to the New York Jets. On Monday, the trade was finally made official between the teams. However, the move has been something long in the works. But the two teams had to agree on the terms for the move. Now Rodgers is off to the Big Apple, while the Packers are embarking on a new journey with QB Jordan Love. However, Rodgers sent the Packers faithful one final goodbye with his touching Instagram post.

“I’m not sure it’s possible to fully express the gratitude that I have to the @packers , our incredible fans, the state of Wisconsin, the thousands of players that I crossed paths with, the incredible men and women who work for the organization, and the amazing people who I got to meet along the way, in one post with 10 pictures, but I hope you read this and feel my heart and soul, filled with love, joy, and peace about my time in green and gold.” This was the start of Rodgers’ heartfelt goodbye.

Aaron Rodgers Will Not Forget The Memories Made

Rodgers and the Packers made more than just a few great memories. During Rodgers’ tenure with the team, the legendary QB led the team to a Super Bowl victory. As well as owning the entire NFC North Division for nearly two decades. However, the time has come for both parties to create history without one another. Rodgers’ last memory as a Packers player was a loss at Lambeau Field to the Detroit Lions. Which was something Rodgers didn’t do a lot of in Green Bay.

If you’re a millennial, this breakup may remind you of the time Spongebob left the Krusty Krab to work at the Chum Bucket. The episode featured a duet between Mr. Krabs and Spongebob, not being able to go on without each other. It will be interesting to see if either party will find success in their new situation. Will Aaron Rodgers be able to turn the Jets into an immediate contender? Will the Packers take a dip with an inexperienced QB under center? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Aaron Rodgers Officially Traded To New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers’ move to the New York Jets has been inevitable. However, it seemed as if the Jets and Green Bay Packers had a hold-up on delivering the veteran QB to the Big Apple. But that is no longer the case. On Monday afternoon, the trade for Rodgers was made official. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Packers are bringing in a haul of draft picks for Rodgers’ services.

In the trade, the Packers are receiving, Pick No. 13, a 2023 2nd-rd pick (No. 42), a 6th-rd pick (No. 207), and a conditional 2024 2nd-rd pick that becomes a 1st if Rodgers plays 65 percent of the plays. While the Jets will receive Rodgers, pick No. 15, and a 2023 5th-rd pick. While the Packers got a lot of draft value. The Jets will still get a 1st round pick in this year’s draft. Many have assumed that draft capital was the main hold-up in the deal. However, many also felt the deal would get done no matter what.

Aaron Rodgers Heading To Big Apple

The relationship between Rodgers and the Packers hasn’t been in the best place for a few years. Rodgers had expressed concern with how the team had been using previous draft picks. Also, rumors have been reported that Rodgers had grown frustrated with the lack of offensive weapons the team was trying to bring in. The new Jets QB made his future intentions known on a past episode of the Pat McAfee Show. During his appearance, Rodgers expressed his desire to be in New York.

Green Bay and Rodgers’ relationship ended on a sour note. However, the team still showed Rodgers respect by dealing him to New York. Rodgers’s time in Green Bay wasn’t all bad memories. The former league MVP brought a Super Bowl trophy to Green Bay over a decade ago. However, the team has not appeared in the big game since. Will Aaron Rodgers joining the New York Jets make them instant title contenders? Let us know what you think about the blockbuster trade in our comment section. New York Jets Rumored To Be Interested In Top WR

The New York Jets were rumored to have an interest in Odell Beckham Jr. However, Beckham has since landed in Baltimore with the Ravens. As the team awaits on the Aaron Rodgers saga to work itself out, they would like to bolster their receiving unit. It is now being reported that the Jets have an interest in free-agent DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins has been a star in both of his stops with Houston and Arizona. Adding Hopkins to an offense with Rodgers would send Jets fans’ hopes to the moon.

Hopkins has spent the last three seasons in Arizona. Now it seems as if the star receiver may be looking for a new home. When Hopkins first arrived in Arizona, many believed the team to be a Super Bowl favorite. However, now the Cardinals are looking at a rebuild after the recent firing of head coach Kliff Kingsbury. The Cardinals are beginning a new era. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that Hopkins is interested in a rebuild. The veteran receiver is ready to play for a winner. Obviously, the Cardinals are not the answer.

New York Jets Look To Bolster Receiver Unit

Last season, the Jets were seen as a team in the midst of a rebuild. Now they look like a team that is believing it could be Super Bowl or bust. Adding Aaron Rodgers to any team will make them instant contenders. However, that addition still has yet to be made by officials. Seemingly, it looks like the Packers aren’t that interested in making a quick decision. The Rodgers saga has seen many rumors hit the waves. But it still feels like the Packers legend will be in the Big Apple to start next season.

Having DeAndre Hopkins to throw to would be a sight for Rodgers. Rodgers has long been frustrated with how the Packers have handled bringing in weapons to the franchise. Hopkins could arguably be the biggest downfield threat to ever play with Rodgers. Hopes are already at a fever pitch with the New York Jets faithful. However, it could be best for the Jets fan base to temper their feelings until everything is official. If the Jets were to add Hopkins and Rodgers, would that make them a Super Bowl Favorite?
