The Foreign Exchange Reunite For The First Time In 6 Years For “The Grey / I Couldn’t Love You More (Dub)”

Underground rapper/producer duo The Foreign Exchange is back with a fresh set of tracks called “The Grey / I Couldn’t Love You More”. This is the most recent offering from rapper of Little Brother, Phonte, and Dutch producer Nicolay. It is their first under this moniker in a little over six years, as it follows up on the single “June”, which dropped on the fourth of that month in 2018. In terms of projects, The Foreign Exchange’s last offering was a 2017 tape called Hide&Seek. In usual fashion, you are getting great material from Phonte and Nicolay, as both tracks in this two pack go over extremely well.

Overall, “The Grey” offers up a little more in terms of lyrical substance. However, the more subdued “I Couldn’t Love You More” is still a rich listening experience thanks to the production from Nicolay. The latter, according to HipHopDX, is actually a remake of R&B legend Sade’s track of the same name. Tigallo is responsible for the rendition and does a great job capturing the magic of the original. So, why are The Foreign Exchange returning after a such a long hiatus? Well, this is all a part of a 20th anniversary celebration of the duo’s debut project together, Connected. Additionally, they are releasing a limited number of colored vinyls (300) to commemorate this special occasion.

Shaquille O’Neal Rereleases Two 28-Year-Old Tracks Via The “SHAQ Pack”

Shaquille O’Neal is without a doubt the most dominant player the NBA has ever seen. From the moment he stepped onto the floor as a rookie with the Orlando Magic to even his Miami Heat days, there were not many better at his position. The same could be said about his pen game, as he was and still is passionate about his musical career. He was dropping quite a lot of music in the mid to late 1990s, working with some of the best in the booth. The Diesel did take a long break, but lately he has revisited the rapping side of things. Shaquille O’Neal’s SHAQ Pack is here to remind us of his abilities, featuring two songs from 1996.

“Strait Playin’” and “Legal Money” were two popular cuts off You Can’t Stop the Reign, a project that featured plenty of heavy hitters. Some of them included Peter Gunz, DJ Quik, Mobb Deep, and Lord Tariq. The first two land on “Strait Playin’”, a braggadocious, West Coast special. Then, Mobb Deep bring their production expertise and some verses to the table to accompany the standout hook from Tariq. Here, the all-star cast raps about earning dough through reliable means, instead of the dangerous methods that rappers sometimes fall into. There is no telling if Shaq plans on reviving the project and dropping it on streaming. But we are enjoying these blasts from the past.

The guard jet ski, Shaq ripped the river apart

Cory Gunz Brings Along A Plethora Of Guests For Short Project “Loosie Pack 3”

Cory Gunz has always possessed great flow patterns and clever one liners throughout his long and steady career. The East Coast spitter might not be your go-to for hits and bangers. But overall, the veteran is the perfect artist for the headphones. You can just close your eyes and lock into his lyrics and digest what he is putting down. Across his new mixtape, Loosie Pack 3, Cory Gunz is doing just that and doing it effectively as well.

As you could probably guess, this is a part of an ongoing series that The Bronx songwriter has. This now trilogy got its start just last year. The first of which dropped back in September and brought on the talents of Black Saun, Pax, Styles P, Whispers, and more. Then, just two months later, Cory Gunz would bring out Loosie Pack 2. The second seven-track offering had the likes of Nino Man, Snyp Life, Fuego Base, Whispers again, and RMK. As for Loosie Pack 3, Gunz includes probably the highest number of diverse guests. Here, you get Jim Jones, Jaewon, Mulaarie, Dashii, Large Amount, Chris Rivers, Whispers (yet again), and RMK. Since this is a mixtape and a set of Loosies, like the tape says, Cory is giving you a simple formula of solid rapping.

Currently, his accuser and former Yeezy employee, Lauren Pisciotta, is looking to sue the controversial mogul for sexual assault/harassment. Currently, no one really knows who is at fault here, as Ye has recently announced that he is suing Lauren back. So much is still to come of that situation, so be sure to stay locked in with us. Right now, though, Kanye West has to deal with a potential hacker unloading multiple songs on his YouTube.

This all went down just moments ago, as it appears that 13 total tracks were leaked on to the official page of Mr. West. The capsule includes what could be unfinished demos and older sounding tracks. Additionally, they could be Donda leftovers, due to the all-black cover art on each song. Each one was released separately and not as a project. Or, since we are in the middle of the VULTURES era, these could be throwaways, too.

LUCKI Leaves Off Second 2-Pack, “2 Faced, Pt. 2”, Ahead Of Rumored Album

LUCKI has made a living off his signature mumbly and druggy flows over slow-mo trap rap beats. Today, the Chicago, Illinois-bred artist is delivering more of the same on his newest set of tracks. Just a few months ago, he put out a two-pack called 2 Faced back in January for his rumored album GEMIN! According to Genius, the project is supposed to be out on June 14, and it would follow up his 2023 tape s*x m*ney dr*gs. Now, fast forward to today and LUCKI has more to offer in the form of 2 Faced, Pt. 2.

This time around LUCKI is bossing up on both cuts, which are “Heavy On My Heart”, and “Courtesy Of”. On the first track, the veteran rapper is proving an ex wrong by locking and making as much bread as possible. “Really a rapper, but I’m with the wolves, ’cause I know they’ve got dreams too / We had fell out, the whole world seen it, they had told me to leave you / Went back home when I got rich, and they said I needed you“.

Then, on “Courtesy Of”, LUCKI is straight up flexing on the haters and possibly his contemporaries. “N****s first round bust down, ain’t even wanna play / I got money in a vault, I got money just to play / We’ll play you like you soft if you ain’t slimier than me“. On 2 Faced, LUCKI divulged on being a baller on “PAIDNFULL”, whereas “COLORFUL DRUGS” was more of a trippy vibe than anything else. Overall, these tracks are fine, but nothing too new.

What are your thoughts on 2 Faced, Pt. 2 by LUCKI? Is this the better set of promotional tracks from his upcoming album, why or why not? Does this have you interested in what is to come on the LP? What was your favorite track out of the two and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. I’ma go M.I.A., I’ma come right back with more racks for me

Hit-Boy has been on a remarkable run over the last year and change, but certainly in 2024. The legendary Fontana, California-bred producer and writer has worked with a bucket load of artists from all levels of popularity, Of course, he has been mostly working alongside his father, Big Hit, for the majority of this time frame we are referring to. BIG30 Is Looking To Prove He Is “Still King” On New LP

Memphis, Tennesee might be one of the hardest cities for a rapper to stand out in. Just think about all og the powerhouse names that originate from there. You have Key Glock, GloRilla, Yo Gotti, Juicy J, Moneybagg Yo, and so many others. One quality that all of these artists share would be the trademark Memphis accent and the resonant cadence. Sometimes, that similarity can really make it hard for listeners to discern who they are listening to. Unfortunately, for BIG30, he is one of the MCs that are having a harder go of things.

While he certainly has the connections in the industry like Pooh Shiesty and Yo Gotti, and a handful of popular tracks, it seems that he gets lost in the mix. By no means does BIG30 put out bad music. However, in that same breath, he does not stick out amongst his neighboring contemporaries. To us there really is not anything that makes him unique enough to garner more that replay ability factor.

Listen To Still King By BIG30

His latest album, Still King, is proof of that in some respects. At 17 tracks and minimal features, the tracks feel like they are repeating themselves. It also does not help that his “brrrr” adlibs sound exactly like Pooh Shiesty’s either. At the end of the day, this is not a bad album, but it just does not move the needle.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album Still King by BIG30? Which songs are you gravitating toward the most right now? Where do you rank this project amongst the rest in his discography? Yhapojj Delivers His Anticipated Album “P.S. F*** You”

Yhapojj became a massive target for us to cover just a few short weeks ago when he dropped a new track called “SSwerve Geeked.” It was our first time reviewing any of his music and we can see why he has been garnering some buzz. For those who are not familiar with him, he is only 19 and calls Hunstville, Alabama home. His career saw a start during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it seems as if that time in our country spawned a lot of hip-hop artists. When he dropped that single, we got word that Yhapojj would be dropping a new album P.S. F*** You.

Well, that time has come and like his previous albums, it is almost exclusively Yhapojj and no one else. The only feature, Lil Tony Official, lands on the project’s lead single. A lot of people have been thoroughly enjoying this since its release. What we can say about it is that it is unique due to Yhapo’s flows, deliveries, and instrumental choices.

It is definitely not your standard trap rap record that you hear every other day. However, his style will definitely be an adjustment for quite a large number of listeners. This project is not offensive by any means. However, we feel it will take a few listens to understand the direction and unorthodox rapping from Yhapojj.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album P.S. F*** You by Yhapojj? What tracks have you been gravitating toward? Where do you rank this project amongst the rest of his discography and why? DaBaby Teases Fans With 3 Pack, “GHETTO SUPERSTAR: (THE INTRO),” Ahead Of New Album

DaBaby, in most people’s eyes, has come out with some pretty lackluster projects for the last couple of years. It seems that the consensus, for the most part, is that KIRK was perhaps the most recent offering that had the most memorable cuts. But the Cleveland-born rapper has had a fire lit under him over the last few weeks especially with some viral freestyles over the instrumentals for “Like That” and “Get It Sexyy.” He has always flashed tremendous technical abilities on these off-the-dome sessions, but fans are waiting for an album to replicate what his earlier LPs had. It seems that GHETTO SUPERSTAR: (THE INTRO) has DaBaby rounding back into shape.

Fans in the comment section of his most recent Instagram post are in agreeance that the “ROCKSTAR” hitmaker is just getting ready. DaBaby announced his first album in two years a couple of days ago and teased that three songs would be coming before it. That is where GHETTO SUPERSTAR: (THE INTRO) comes into play. The three lead singles include “DONE TRYING,” “GHETTO SUPERSTAR FREESTYLE,” and “JUDY” with Skilla Baby.

Each one poses a different vibe, and they all offer an enjoyable experience. “DONE TRYING” sees DaBaby attack a lowkey instrumental where he gets introspective about his rap career. “GHETTO SUPERSTAR FREESTYLE” is all gas and no brakes and “JUDY” is a booty shaking anthem that is ready to dominate the summer. Be sure to check them all out above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new EP GHETTO SUPERSTAR: (THE INTRO) by DaBaby? Do you think that he is making a valiant effort to change his style, why or why not? Which track is the best out the bunch? Who had the stronger performance on “JUDY” and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Yeat Goes 2/2 On “King Tonka” & “Heavy Stunts” With Don Toliver

Yeat has been going on an underrated run this year, especially when you factor in all of the rap beefs and major releases. His latest album 2093, while divisive, did receive a lot of love from critics and is seen as his best work to date. The Oregon-bred and California-based rapper really expanded on his distorted and futuristic rage sound, and it has placed him in a playing field with the genre’s biggest competitors. Over the months following the project, Yeat has been dropping some fire singles, with “King tonka and “Heavy stunts” being two more welcome additions.

This two-pack supersedes his trippy Soundcloud release “HeliMan” from just two weeks ago. It is not clear if these tracks are hinting at a new project, or a separate version of 2093 like how we got with P2 (Phase 2). For now, we are just enjoying this twofer for what they are, which is spacey trap bangers. Both are solid offerings, but “Heavy stunts” is one we want to highlight.

Listen To “King Tonka” & “Heavy Stunts” By Yeat & Don Toliver

This first-ever collaboration between Yeat and Don Toliver is a good first look at what these two could put forth in the future. It is a duo we can certainly see producing more in the future based on their similar approaches. When Don pops in for the second verse, he begins by mimicking Yeat’s deep, monotone cadence before bringing out his higher-pitched and nasally delivery we are accustomed to. Their chemistry is off to a great start, and we cannot wait for more.

What are your thoughts on these brand-new singles “King tonka” and “Heavy stunts” by Yeat and Don Toliver? Which track are you enjoying more right now and why? Do you need more Don Toliver collabs going forward? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
