Conway The Machine Joins Juicy J And Sauce Walka For “Super Bowl”: Listen

The Super Bowl may have already occurred, but Conway The Machine relives the unmatched energy of the event in his new song “Super Bowl.” Featuring Juicy J and Sauce Walka, this track lusts after the life of big ballers while recounting the highs felt after winning a nationally-acclaimed tournament. All three rappers bring an unapologetic grit to the track that results in an upbeat anthem.

Conway, who recently announced his upcoming third studio album Won’t He Do It, is known for placing his soulful bars over soothing beats. His 2022 project God Don’t Make Mistakes deep dived into the 41-year-old’s outstanding capabilities as a lyricist, and featured T.I., Rick Ross, and Benny The Butcher. The release of “Super Bowl” also follows the rapper’s news of a confirmed docuseries created by his label, Drumwork, marking another exciting step in Conway’s career.

Conway Drops “Super Bowl” Ahead Of Upcoming Album

While “Super Bowl” may differ from Conway’s previous projects by its overtly upbeat nature, the track serves as a celebration of wins for the New York rapper. In the chorus, he describes “feelin’ like I won the AFC.” Both Juicy and Sauce allude to the same winning mentality in their verses, reflecting on the successes of their individual careers. In November, the “Bandz Make Her Dance” rapper dropped Crypto Business, a collaborative album with Lex Luger and Trap-A-Holics. Sauce, despite alleged affiliation with the ongoing RICO case, ended the year with three mixtapes: Al Rage Walka, Sauce Beach Florida, and Sauce Ghetto Gospel 3.

In all, “Super Bowl” marks a collaborative effort to depict the incomparable highs of success and big wins. The track is currently available to stream on all platforms, so be sure to check it out and let us know what you think in the comments down below. Quotable Lyrics:

I’m only faithful to the cash, yeah (Woah)

Logic Drops “Lightsabers” Ahead Of “College Park” Release

Earlier this month, Logic dropped the track list for his upcoming eighth studio album College Park. The album will include features from stars like Joey Bada$$, RZA, Redman, and more, Additionally, three of the songs will include guest verses from a rapper named C Dot Castro. For most of his die-hard fans, C Dot is a well-known fixture in Logic’s music. Dating back to “Disgusting” in 2012 and “Ballin” in 2013, C Dot has been alongside Logic for his entire career. So, it was no surprise to see him and the Maryland MC reunite for College Park.

Ahead of the project, the 33-year-old put out the LP’s fourth promotional single with C Dot Castro titled “Lightsabers.” “Lightsabers” follows up a slew of excellent pre-released tracks like “Wake Up,” “High Life” and “Paradise II.” Additionally, “Lightsabers” will likely be the final single Logic puts out before releasing the full album. College Park is slated to release later in the week on Friday (Feb. 24)

Logic And C Dot Castro Collide

“Lightsabers” is produced by not only Logic, but his career-long right-hand man 6ix. 6ix has practically executively produced all of his collaborator’s studio albums. So, it comes as no surprise that he offers an excellent, two-part instrumental on “Lightsabers.” The first portion of the track consists of solely Logic, rapping about the ups and downs of every day life. Over the synthy, bass-infused trap beat, his up-tempo flow is captivating.

After a drawn-out beat switch, Logic is met with a new piano-infused instrumental. However, not much changes in terms of approach for the veteran rhymer. Utilizing his slick-tongued bars, his final verse on the song transitions into an elite display from C Dot Castro. Finishing the song, Castro spits about his determination for a better life and the trials and tribulations he has fought through. Yet again, this storied duo has provided their fans with another excellent display of songwriting and execution. Stream Logic & C Dot Castro’s “Lightsabers” single on Spotify or Apple Music below. Additionally, tune into Logic’s new album College Park this Friday, February 24.

Quotable Lyrics:

Me and my neighbors, we shinin’ like lightsabers
Ain’t handin’ out no favors, we lucky to be alive
Smoke somethin’ to this and vibe
I hope you don’t give up your dreams for a nine-to-five

OG Parker Can “Still Work” With Ty Dolla $ign & Muni Long On New Single

OG Parker just dropped a new single with Ty Dolla $ign and Muni Long, the sultry R&B cut “Still Work.” Moreover, the track is built on hazy and pretty indistinct vocal samples that form a cloudy atmosphere. Unsurprisingly, both R&B singers give impressive vocal performances and captivating melody switch-ups. Furthermore, this track follows singles like “No Fuss” and “Rain Down” ahead of Parker’s next project, Moments. Also, the track’s music video employs a nostalgic vibe with a love story to represent the song’s longing themes. Overall, it’s a fitting track for the Valentine’s Day season and one that reaffirms finding love after a long time. Of course, what better way to represent that feeling with two of the most dominant current stars in soul?

However, OG’s production still hits pretty heavy, with a sharp trap beat with deep kicks and crisp snares. Even with the tracks more sentimental themes, you can let that hang in the background and focus on its soothing energy. Meanwhile, you can let that take a backseat to each singer’s lyrics of finding love again after rocky patches. “And the walls feel like they closin’ in,” Ty sings on the first verse. “It was good but your girls they lead a life of sin / Ayy, if you’re hearin’ this song / Girl, don’t take too long.”

Still, what did you think of OG Parker’s latest track, “Still Work” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Muni Long? However you feel, let us know in the comments and check out the single’s music video and standout lines below. Also, if you haven’t heard the song yet, you can find it on your preferred streaming service. As always, log back into HNHH for the latest great music releases in R&B and beyond.

Harlem-based artist Melii takes it extra slow in her sultry new drop “14 Daze.” The rapper and singer has proven her extra versatile musicality in this single, which is a shift from her usual hard-hitting rap hits. “14 Daze” is a soft and romantic track that showcases an up-front desire for a new lover. In a 2022 interview with AllHipHop, Melii reflected on her shift from rapper to singer. “I never wanted to be boxed in” she explained “Being that I could release the slow stuff, to me it’s a relief type of thing.” Needless to say, Melii holds a strong desire for sticking to her gut when making artistic choices.

Melii Proves Her Versatility In “14 Daze”

The 25-year-old artist also mentioned how her audience jumps back and forth between labeling her as a “rapper” or “singer.” Her response depicts her love for her music: “right now, I just want to be seen as an artist. I want to go into rock and roll if I want to. I want to be able to do whatever I want.” Evidently, Melii values freedom of creation. As a bilingual lyric connoisseur, Melii has certainly shown her ability to break out of the status quo in order to showcase the truest form of her artistry.

“14 Daze” is another representation of Melii’s vulnerable connection to music. She sings passionately, “I wanna keep my guard up, but I put it down just for you.” Her emotional and vibey new track is currently available to stream, so check it out and let us know what you think in the comments!

Quotable Lyrics:

August Alsina Drops Weekdays With Zu & Deeno

August Alsina released his new sizzling single, Weekdays, at midnight. The 30-year-old singer is accompanied by fellow hip-hop artists Zu and Deeno, and the result of Weekdays is a hustler’s anthem. Alsina depicts his weekday grind, emphasizing his relentless chase of spending and earning racks. “I blow a bag on Saturday,” he sings, “’cause on Sunday I know it’s comin’.”

Weekdays is Alsina’s second drop of the year, following the release of Myself. His newest single is more upbeat and punchy, whereas his January track omitted a slower-paced reflection. Although it’s been three years since the New Orleans rapper’s last studio album, he’s been gracing fans with frequently released singles over the last two years. In Weekdays, Alsina emphasizes his never-ending weekly hustle. Both Zu and Deeno follow in a similar suit, spitting out about their chase for money and girls.

Alsina Depicts His Relentless Mentality

While Alsina hasn’t been shy to note his rocky upbringing, it’s clear to see that he’s proud of his achievements in music. His fusion of R&B and hip-hop has led Alsina to blend genres vastly, resulting in a diverse resume of songs. His most recognizable hit over the years remains “I Luv This Shit,” featuring Trinidad James, which was released back in 2013. The song also alludes to Alsina’s adoration of his current lifestyle as a musician.

While Weekdays premier on Alsina’s youtube is slowly growing in viewers, this song has the perfect set-up to become the anthem of hard workers in chase of the bag. The release follows an alleged attack from rapper Tory Lanez, which resulted in the dropping of the Canadian rapper’s tour. Regardless of the hardships that Alsina has faced over his life, he remains resilient in producing bangers for his fans. Be sure to check out Weekdays, and let us know what you think in the comments below!

Quotable Lyrics:

I got them racks in on a Sunday,
I get the pack in on a Monday,
I gotta run it up on Tuesday cuz’ on Wednesday I get another
And I wreck the whip on Thursday, but on Friday I get another
And I blow a bag on Saturday cuz’ on Sunday I know it’s comin’

Fetty Wap “Tonight” Drops Just In Time For V-Day

Right in time for the day of love, Fetty Wap releases his new romantic single “Tonight.” From the sensual lyrics to the smooth vibes, this tune is ready to bring anyone’s Valentine’s Day to life. Despite being under flames with the federal court, Fetty’s drop is passionate and upbeat. Overall, “Tonight” provides hot insight into the flames of a new love encounter.

Fetty’s classic approach to quick and choppy words carried by his punchy trap flare is still apparent, but he adds a new twist. Whereas his previous songs carry a lighthearted undertone in execution, “Tonight” exudes a raw message, perhaps to a real-life lover. While this tune is still catchy and bright, it’s a rather vulnerable route for the 31-year-old rapper. Fetty passionately sings in the chorus: “Girl, show me why you bad, I’m here, let’s make it last, yeah, baby.” Of course, he still has thrown in his iconic “yeah, baby.”

Fetty Wap – “Tonight”

‘Tonight’ is Fetty’s first drop since “Sweet Yamz.” This humorous take on Masego and Devin Morrison’s “Yamz” went viral on Tik Tok. Fetty also made a feature last month on Rayven Justice’s “Off Top Off Rip (Remix)”, also featuring Mozzy. In “Tonight,” Fetty takes on a more serious approach to his usually playful lyrics, and insinuates genuine admiration of the woman he’s interested in. The tune is produced by StoopKid, FrankGotThePack, Motif Alumni, Jean Bleu, the latter of whom has also collaborated with names like Drake, J.Cole, and Dreamville.

Unfortunately, Fetty is currently facing up to five years of prison time on drug charges, which may delay him from dropping more hits. While the rapper’s in-take date hasn’t been released, he’ll likely be out of the music scene for some time. Be sure to check out “Tonight,” linked up above. As always, let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Girl, you’re fine likе wine but your feelings be tucked, yeah
I’ll give you love like gas, keep on fillin’ on you up, yeah
And you don’t be around the crowd, never doin’ too much
And I be tellin’ everybody, I can’t keep it on hush (Yeah, baby)

Lucky Daye Drops “Careful” For “Magic Mike” Soundtrack

On Friday (Feb. 10), Magic Mike’s Last Dance released in theaters. The movie is the third installment of the beloved Magic Mike movie series. The film stars Salma Hayek and Channing Tatum, who has been the lead actor for all three movies in the trilogy. However, there has been quite a bit of drama attached to the series. In April, actress Thandiwe Newton quit production for the series. It was reported that she left because of a heated disagreement she had with Channing Tatum. Allegedly, the two were arguing about the notorious slap from Will Smith on Chris Rock.

Nevertheless, Magic Mike’s Last Dance is a long-awaited, highly-anticipated flick. The final chapter of the series will put the finishing touches on a great era for Tatum. To help promote the new movie, rising R&B star Lucky Daye was enlisted to craft an original song for the soundtrack. Daye had an incredible 2022, where he dropped his most popular project to date. He delivered Candydrip in March, which lasted nearly an hour, and boasted features from Smino, Lil Durk, and more. Additionally, Daye was able to collaborate with legends throughout the year. This list includes stars like Syd from The Internet, Ella Mai, Mark Ronson, Alicia Keys, and Ari Lennox.

“Careful” by Lucky Daye came out at midnight ET on Feb. 10. The song is produced by Scribz Riley, who is most known for work with other R&B talents like Khalid, H.E.R. and Zayn Malik. Ushered in by a violin, the lustful track brings in drums shortly after. Setting a sensual, racy mood, Lucky’s subdued and echoed vocals fit the vibe just right. It is easy to picture this song being played during a sexually intense scene in the movie. Singing about being a “dog off a leash,” “Careful” is the perfect track for a Magic Mike setting. Babyface Ray & 42 Dugg Link Up For “Ron Artest”

Babyface Ray is undoubtedly one of the hottest artists in rap right now. In early December, the 26-year-old dropped his sophomore studio album MOB. The album included an elite feature roster and a handful of momentum-building singles like “Nice Guy” and “Spend It.” Collaborations with Blxst, Lil Durk and Doe Boy highlighted the record, which was his second of 2022. In January, his stellar studio debut FACE officially certified Detroit-style rap to be one of the hottest sub-genre in the game. Uplifting colleagues like Icewear Vezzo and Veeze on the album, Babyface Ray climbed the ranks into mainstream acclaim.

As for 42 Dugg, also a native of Detroit, his 2022 brought a different type of excitement. Being signed to both CMG and 4PF, he has an abundance of talent and expertise at his disposal. Because of this, he collaborates with a multitude of hip-hop’s hierarchy. Dugg displayed that In April when he linked up with CMG’s EST Gee for a joint album titled Last Ones Left. The project saw them recruit feature guests like BIG30, Tae Money, and a few of Gee’s EST homies. Spanning 17 songs, Dugg proved that his style can mesh with several different artists.

To jumpstart their respective 2023 campaigns, Face and Dugg decided it would be best to bring their powers together. On Wednesday (Feb. 8), the duo put out a new single titled “Ron Artest.” This is actually the duo’s ninth collaboration, with their most recent prior connection being “Let Me Down” on FACE. However, “Ron Artest” sees Face carry most of the load this time. “Ron Artest” opens with an audio clip of the NBA icon after he won the 2009 NBA Finals. Artest, who has changed his name multiple times and now goes by Metta Sandiford-Artest, spoke about Kobe Bryant in the clip: “He passed me the ball, he never passed me the ball. He passed me the ball, Kobe passed me the ball and I shot a three.”

Channeling Artest’s well-renowned, chip-on-his-shoulder attitude, Face rattles off impressive bars. Lyrics like “My mind f**ked up, can’t f**k with nobody /
Dеalin’ with heartbreak, I don’t love nobody” and “Right now, I’m courtside like Spike Lee / Gettin’ rich off rap, man, life free” see Face going to work during his singular verse. Towards the end, Dugg comes in for a smooth outro, where he tributes both of his labels. “4 Pockets Full and they ain’t CMG / Put the music to the sides, bitch, I’m signed to the streets,” he raps. Let us know what you thought of this track, down in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

Quotable Lyrics:

Yeah, you in the streets but you lost, you a deer (Lost)
N****s writin’ for a rap buzz, I don’t care (Why?)
Miss me with the rap shit, I was there (Facts)
Live in the flesh, Ron Artest
Counted me out, came back, I’ma champ (Ballin’)

SAINt JHN Finally Drops Official Version Of “You Laughed At Me”

Guyanese-American artist SAINt JHN has not put out a full-length album since November 2020. However, he has consistently been feeding fans with singles since then. In 2022, he put out the track “For The Squadron” in early February and “Stadiums” in mid-December. It is currently unclear if any of these songs will be included on a potential upcoming album. However, JHN put out a tweet in Many of last year that laid out his thought process when it comes to albums. “I don’t make albums I make collections. Any Collection of art takes time. Don’t rush my Basquiat,” he said.

However, soon after his December song, he dropped “Overstimulated” last week (Feb. 3) as his first release of 2023. It is hard to imagine an increase of frequency of song releases like this would not correlate to an impending project. He followed a pattern similar to this when he dropped “Roses” and “Gorgeous” before his 2020 LF While The World Was Burning.

SAINt JHN Switches It Up

This pattern became even more considerable on Friday (Feb. 10), when Saint Jhn dropped another new song titled “You Laughed at Me.” The track was initially released solely on YouTube in August of last year, but was soon removed inexplicably. Perhaps he still needed to gain clearances for the cut to be added to digital streaming platforms.

Nevertheless, “You Laughed at Me” is another excellent demonstration of JHN’s elite artistry and vocals. Over a slick guitar loop, the 36-year-old’s melancholic attitude is almost tangible. A complete change of direction from his “Overstimulated” track a week prior with hard-hitting drums, this exhibition reveals a more vulnerable side of SAINt JHN. Let us know what you thought of this track, down in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

Quotable Lyrics:

So I said talk to me, talk to me, when you talk to me with your eyes
Baby, hold me, baby, hold me, hold me, hold me with your smile
Put your hands on me, put your hands on me
Answer me, would it hurt to lie to me?
