While many might know the Ohio singer and rapper for his more emotive, rage-heavy, or melancholy cuts, he’s got a lot of different tools at his disposal. Moreover, when you also have the help of a legend and strong influence like Lil Wayne, you can make any great song you want. Furthermore, that’s exactly what the duo brought fans on “I’m Mad At Me,” which is a soul-chopping classic cut with a lot of clean sheen and crispness. It’s a welcome change of pace for Trippie who, with every new project, seems to add another skillset to his repertoire.

Of course, the beat is what will catch you attention on first impact, sounding like some of your favorite 2000s productions. With a powerful and dramatic vocal chop, the song’s sense of immediacy and importance is heightened to another level. Sure, the crisp and vibrant drum fills don’t always pop up across the track, but it makes their hits that much more ear-grabbing on the song. Melodically, Trippie Redd allows for subtle pianos, a slinky bassline, and faint guitar strums to lead the way. Lyrically, both MCs seem to focus on a relationship that they’re trying to balance with both their hardened backstory and their current fame.

Lil Yachty And 1017 ALYX 9SM Team Up For “Warriors”

Lil Yachty continues to keep fans fed with his latest single, “Warriors.” The track is part of a collaboration with clothing brand 1017 ALYX 9SM. According to the brand’s website, the song will be featured on a compilation album featuring several other artists, including folk artist Ethel Cain. At the time of this writing, none of the other expected appearances had been announced.

As well as defending his position in Hip Hop, Yachty is on the lookout for love in the track. Additionally, it suits the album’s dark and moody tone. Lil Yachty speaks of the loneliness of being a rapper and how he’s searching for a connection with someone who can understand and appreciate his life. It’s a vulnerable side of Yachty that we haven’t seen before, and it adds a new dimension to his music.

The Track Is Part Of A Compilation Album

It is not known when the project will be released, but it is likely to be sometime this year. The brand appears to be making its first foray into music, so it will be interesting to see how it goes. It is yet to be seen if the project will be successful. However, the music industry is highly competitive, and the project will have to stand out in order to be successful.

Gucci Mane Reflects On Life With “Now It’s Real”

Gucci Mane seems to have lived nine lives and is now reflecting on them all. The “So Icy” rapper’s career has had many ups and downs. All of which Big Guwop referred to in his music. As his life moves forward, it makes sense that he can reflect on the past as well. With “Now It’s Real,” Gucci not only enjoys the spoils of his success but also offers advice to the younger generation of rappers.

In the accompanying video released on YouTube, Guwop’s opulent lifestyle is on full display — complete with luxury cars, expensive jewelry, and designer clothes. His children also appear in the video, adding a heartwarming touch. As he recounts his time in prison, Gucci Mane contrasts it with his success today. A federal prison sentence was handed down to the rapper in 2014 for firearms charges. He was later released in September 2016.

“Breath Of Fresh Air” Scheduled For October Release

Gucci Mane’s new track will presumably appear on his upcoming album, Breath Of Fresh Air. The project is scheduled to be released later this fall in October. While there has been no tracklist released as of yet, the rapper did share the album’s artwork via Instagram. The cover sees a polished Gucci, with his lady Keyshia Ka’oir Davis and their two children Ice and Baby Iceland. Almost reminiscent of a family photo, the cover hints that Gucci has fully embraced his next stage in life as a husband and father.

Gucci Mane announced the project back in July, along with following up with the project’s first single, “Bluffin” featuring Lil Baby. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe, he opened up about what inspired him to take this new direction on his work. He noted that the deaths of various peers had a profound effect on him. “Ever since, I guess November of when Dolph passed away and my artist Scarr passing away and TakeOff passing away and Pooh locked up and Foo locked up, that’s why I kind of named my album a Breath of Fresh Air,” he explained.

Doechii Releases Catchy New Anthem “Booty Drop”

Doechii has seen a meteoric rise to fame and popularity and she continues to shine with the lights on her. Doechii began to get a taste of the spotlight, receiving notoriety from fans, critics, and record labels a couple of years ago. What triggered that was the release of her self-funded and released EP, Oh the Places You’ll Go. “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” was the song that got people buzzing with it spreading like wildfire on TikTok in 2021. The following year, in March 2022 specifically, Doechii inked two deals with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), along with Capitol Records. This gave Doechii the bragging rights of being the very first female rapper to sign with TDE.

However, the hits kept piling up for the young star. “Persuasive,” a feature on David Guetta’s “Trampoline,” and “What It Is (Block Boy)” picked up steam. Now, she is back with another possible club-ready banger “Booty Drop.” Unfortunately, it is only available on YouTube.

Doechii Is All About Dancing

The song is all about getting freaky and wild on the dancefloor. More specifically, she wants her listeners to shake what their momma gave them. It seems to be a YouTube release only for the moment since it runs just under a minute and looks to be a snippet as of now. With the Georgia native exploring more left-field sounds with his latest release, Let’s Start Here., Yachty has proven to be one of the best artists this year. Now, the colorful rapper teams up with a top-tier singer for an angelic cut, “Number 9.”

The Californian’s last song “Give It To Me” was well-received with tremendous production that includes drums, guitars, and oh, of course, Miguel’s heavenly voice. The vibe on that track is similar to what we are getting here with this latest effort. “Number 9” possesses more of an R&B vibe than “Give It To Me,” but honestly it does not make the track any worse. The beat is more simple, however, still feels like there are layers upon layers to peel back which makes for a terrific listen.

Gunna Links With Up And Comer Elyrix On New Song “Day Off”

Earlier this year Gunna followed up his plea deal as a part of the YSL RICO case with a new album. On the project, a Gift & a Curse he addressed some of the allegations that he snitched on friends and fellow rappers as a part of the case. The album went on to achieve solid chart success and also scored Gunna the second top 5 hit of his career. His song “fukumean” peaked at number 4 on the Hot 100 matching the highest spot his song “Drip Too Hard” with Lil Baby hit on the chart.

Now, Gunna is following the album up with a new collaboration recorded back in 2022. It’s a collaboration with Elyrix an up-and-coming rapper who scored a major collaboration for the song. He’s released an album in three straight years It’s not the first time his tracks have gotten some substantial attention from major artists. Last year he dropped his new album Ostrogoth Pt. 1. The project had features from Lil Baby, YK Osiris, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. His new song “Day Off” may have his biggest collaboration yet. The accompanying music video is shot in stark black and white and sees Elyrix and Gunna enjoying their time off. Lyrically the track builds on the idea that their work ethics inform their big days off.

The song features thumping bass, light sound effects lingering in the background, and nicely autotuned vocals. It creates a wavy vibe that is perfect for a late-night drive with the windows down. The beat is so good, Miller lets it play out for the last 30 seconds or so.
