Quavo Lets Takeoff Take The Reins On “Patty Cake”

Quavo dropped off his brand-new project Rocket Power on Friday. Overall, this is a dope project that pays homage to Takeoff. Takeoff passed away almost one year ago, and it has been a very difficult time for everyone involved. Of course, his Migos counterparts have been trying to honor him in the best way possible. This has subsequently led to some bars that pay tribute to him and his spirit. Rocket Power feels like the perfect send-off for the artist, and it just so happens that he is featured on a couple of tracks.

One of those tracks is “Patty Cake.” Below, you can listen to the track which clocks in at just above two minutes. As you will hear, the song is mostly carried by Takeoff. Considering this is a posthumous track, you can tell that Quavo wanted his family member to take the reins here. The artist understands that fans want to hear Takeoff rap. He was a pioneer when it came to flow, and fans are still mesmerized by his voice. Consequently, the decision to make Takeoff the focal point here was a smart one.

Rich The Kid And Luh Tyler Team Up For “Big Pimpin”

Rich The Kid has returned with another single, but this time he calls on teen rap sensation Luh Tyler. Spanning over two minutes, “Big Pimpin” is the rappers’ bragfest about their wealth. Rich recently shared the news about the new track with fans via Instagram. He’s also recently collaborated with several other artists, including Fivio Foreign, Jay Critch, Lil Tjay, and others.

Is Rich The Kid Gearing Up For A New Album?

The rapper confirmed to Sidedoor Magazine in April that he was working on something special. It is expected that his next album will come out before the end of the year. As for the creative process, Rich claims that he does not need much. “The vibes with me in the studio are basically… smoking and having good energy and good friends around,” he says.

He also shared with the publication about how he’s been able to grow as an artist. “As an artist I feel like I’ve grown in a lot of ways— [by] trying out different stuff, working with different artists, really just experimenting with music as an artist. I feel like it’s dope to experiment and fuck with different genres; I’ve done a lot of Latin songs in the last three years that I haven’t put out yet, some afrobeat records, just different types of vibes [than I’m used to],” he says.

Young Scooter Joins Forces With Future On “Hard To Handle”

Young Scooter has returned with a new track. “Hard To Handle,” which features an appearance by Future. The song seemingly picks up where the rapper left off on 2020’s Zaystreet mixtape. The brashness and grit of Young Scooter has only improved with time. It marks his first single in nearly three years.

An accompanying lyric video was posted to YouTube on Thursday (August 17). Fans seem to be quite enjoying this new dynamic duo. “One time for Scooter and future still holding it down real OGs in the game salute, street dudes united,” one fan commented. “Come on wit it Scooter, we been waiting for Fawty years for you to drop,” another person wrote.

Last week, the rapper took to Instagram to reveal details about his next project, Streetz Krazy. According to the Atlanta native, fans can expect the tape on September 1. At the time of this writing, the rapper has yet to release the full tracklist. However, he did share some of the guest appearances, which include Young Nudy, Peewee Longway, Money Man, and more.

Whenever he’s not in the studio, Young Scooter is there for his friends, like Young Thug. Ahead of the highly-publicized YSL Rico trial, the rapper offered his friend words of encouragement. He was also joined by Houston rapper and humanitarian Trae Tha Truth. As of the time, Young Scooter predicted Thugger would be released in the summer. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. “JUST LEFT COURT WIT [snake emoji] HE GONE BE HOME BEFORE SUMMER @traeabn REAL ONE [fist emoji],” Scooter wrote in an Instagram post last December. Similarly, in a screenshot from his Instagram story, he wrote, “BEEN AT EVERY COURT DATE WIT U. KNOW IM ALWAYS WIT U BRA, EVEN WHEN U THINK THE WORLD AGAINST U.”

Coming in at just over three minutes, the 30-year-old singer explores her deepest sexual desires. Tinashe seems more confident than ever on the track and has no problem showing it.

In the accompanying video released on YouTube on Thursday (August 17), the singer is seen dancing through the aisles of a grocery store with her friends in tow. In a recent interview with Dazed, Tinashe opened up about her inspiration. “We wanted it to have that playful, reckless energy,” the singer says as if the group had “broken into this grocery store and were having some type of after-hours party in it.”

The Singer Is Gearing Up For Her Forthcoming Album, “BB/ANG3L”

She also revealed to the publication her direction for her next album. Tinashe says she wants her fans to know her “on more of an intimate level” with BB/ANG3L. “With this era, I want people to get to know me on more of an intimate level, very up close and personal. I want it to feel like this album is whispering in your ear. My last era we leaned into a lot more concepts, a lot of dark makeup, a lot of outfits, which was amazing and beautiful. But being able to have this stripped back side of me, to play into different colour tones, different vibes, just feels very cinematic and really personal.”

The track seems to have fans even more excited about what Tinashe has next under her sleeve. “ICON!!!! Baby you just get better and better. So unique, so fresh, so fun! You are the epitome of what the industry needs and what people are always saying they are looking for yet for some reason can’t find. THIS is your lane and you nail it everytime,” one fan commented under the visual.

Ciara Drops Off New “CiCi” EP

Ciara is back and more mature than ever. The Grammy-nominated singer and mother of four has reached a new stage in life. So it makes sense her latest project would reflect that journey. On Friday (August 18), Ciara released her new EP, CiCi. The seven-track project features appearances by Chris Brown, Lil Baby, and Bounce icon Big Freedia.

The project is seemingly paying homage to her relationship with Denver Broncos’ Quarterback Russell Wilson. The pair began dating in 2015 and would eventually marry a year later in England. Prior to that, the singer was in a high-profile relationship with Future. The two broke things off in 2014 after dating for one year. They share one son, Baby Future.

This Is Ciara’s First Project Since 2019

CiCi is the Atlanta singer’s first project since 2019’s Beauty Mark. While the project didn’t perform too well, it did spawn a few singles like “Level Up.” The empowering track even started a viral dance challenge. The single peaked at No.59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No.23 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In other related news, Ciara’s recent maternity shoot has been catching major attention. It’s been said that the singer possibly drew inspiration from Rihanna. The new mother of two has continued to be as fashionable as ever throughout her recent pregnancies.

The move has seemed to people to have a new way to look at motherhood. “CiCi Mama,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. Her photo dump begins with a snapshot of her pretending to answer a vintage, red lip-shaped phone. Ciara’s black and blonde hair was styled in two messy ponytails atop her head. She also layered an abundance of necklaces over her chest. Covering her upper half was a groovy, pink, and orange knit sweatshirt. She was brave enough to don baggy jeans in the August heat with a gothic pair of spike-clad boots. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

CiCi Tracklist:

1. How We Roll by Ciara & Chris Brown
2. BRB
3. Low Key
4. Type A Party
5. Forever by Ciara & Lil Baby
6. 2 In Luv
7. Winning by Ciara & Big Freedia)

Davido & Musa Keys Bring Latto Onboard Their “UNAVAILABLE [Remix]”: Stream

The latest criticisms against Latto have been all about the Atlanta-based artist seemingly taking a little too much inspiration from her contemporaries, such as Ice Spice and Sexyy Red. She doesn’t seem too bothered by the hate, especially given the success the 24-year-old has found with all of her recent releases. She and K-Pop sensation Jungkook broke countless records with their “Seven” collab, and not long before that she and Cardi B gave us the Song of the Summer with “Put It On Da Floor Again.”

This New Music Friday (August 18), Latto is back with more heat. She hopped on the remix of Davido and Musa Keys’ “UNAVAILABLE,” which first arrived on the Afrobeats artist’s Timeless LP at the end of March. It’s since racked up over 65M streams on Spotify, as well as a Major Lazer remix. For her part, the 777 hitmaker joined the rapper and producer to spit about taking note of the toxicity she deals with from others in her life.
