DJ Muggs Enlists Star-Studded Cast For “Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley”

Legendary producer DJ Muggs is here with a 19-song offering in the form of Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley. It is the third title in the Soul Assassins series, with the first one appearing back in 1997. The third album brings some great jazz and boom-bap-like production across the 46-minute and 14-second runtime. This is arguably the best tape out of all three.

Muggs’ Soul Assassins I, reached number 86 on the Billboard 200 and earned plenty of amazing reviews. Muggs grabbed Dr. Dre, B-Real, La the Darkman, Mobb Deep, RZA, GZA, Goodie Mob, KRS-One, and Wyclef Jean to boot. Then three years later, he returned with Soul Assassins II. Unfortunately, its peak was only 178. However, it garnered similarly positive reviews, so why not feed the fans more?

Who Did DJ Muggs Bring On?

The feature list is insane on this project, to say the least. Legends across the genre appear here in full force. You have Ice Cube on one of the lead singles from this project called “Dump On Em.” Method Man and Slick Rick show up for “Metropolis.” Finally, you also have Roc Marciano, Westside Gunn, Boldy James, CeeLo Green, and more show up for standout verses with amazing lyricism. BABY GRAVY Duo Is Back With “Baby Gravy 3”

BABY GRAVY might just be the most hilarious rap duo in the music industry. They are back to give their fans more of what they have to come to enjoy from this entertaining comedy act. The second Baby Gravy 3 tape is here and they continue to bring the wacky bars once again. The group consists of Yung Gravy and bbno$. Bbno$ stands for “baby no money” and the two have been making songs together since November 2019.

The first tape, which is ironically titled Baby Gravy 2 was their first collaborative album. It featured the popular song, “Welcome To Chilis” which was a Latin-American-inspired cut. It has hit 130.6 million streams helping to catapult their group to more listeners. Now, they are back to create some more magic with this new effort, Baby Gravy 3.

BABY GRAVY Deliver On Their Trademark Style

Yung Gravy and bbno$ continue to provide their hysterical bars. On the song “No Way Jose” the two rap in unison on the first verse. One bar reads, “Shawty broke my d***, playing Whac-A-Mole / I’ma gladiate the c****ie, like I’m Russel Crowe.” Lines like that are peppered all throughout the album, which makes for an unpredictable but laughable experience. The tracklist also has the single “C’est La Vie” with Rich Brian which has around 59.7 million plays.

City Morgue Duo ZillaKami And SosMula Drop “HAHA WACO”

City Morgue, also known as ZillaKami and SosMula, are back with more music together. The duo officially started around 2018 and have been adamant about getting consistent new material out. That is the case once again with their new effort called “HAHA WACO.” If you have not heard of these two before, get ready for a wild ride.

“HAHA WACO” has a haunting production with trunk-knocking bass. There are also elements of horrorcore with the sharp and high-pitched noises at the beginning of the track. They sound as if they were plucked right from the scene from the movie Psycho. Overall, it is in-your-face action from the start and the energy does not stop until the song does.

Who Are City Morgue?

So, who is City Morgue exactly? One part of the group is ZillaKami. He has nabbed some high-end features such as Denzel Curry. He appeared on Curry’s extremely successful 2018 record TA13OO. Kami announced his loud and boisterous presence on the track “VENGEANCE | VENGEANCE which featured JPEGMAFIA as well. It was a wild song on the album that spoke to Kami’s style. SosMula has also worked alongside Denzel on the song “DRAINO” which was on CITY MORGUE VOL 2: AS GOOD AS DEAD. He was born in New York in 1994 and is looking to propel this duo to new heights.

Terrace Martin and James Fauntleroy have given us angelic pieces of music for so many years. Now, they are teaming up for this new EP called “Nova.” It is a six-track 22-minute-long venture into serene beats and beautiful singing that fans are sure to eat up. The two have worked together before on numerous occasions on songs like “Drones,” “Reflection,” “Too Late,” and many more. The first two aforementioned tracks appear on Martin’s 2021 album DRONES.

“Reflection” is a track that is a heavy-hitting collaboration in particular because it shows how much chemistry the two have together. The woozy production and beautiful vocal work were a sign that both needed to make a full-length effort happen. Sure enough, we got that and it does not disappoint. Unfortunately, there are not as many songs as we would like, but the short time leaves more room for more ideas to bubble up.

Terrace Martin And James Fauntleroy Provide Ultimate Chill Vibes

Terrace Martin and James Fauntleroy utilize the jazz genre to the max on this EP and do so with great appreciation. It does not sound like a cheesy take on the culture that jazz has created for the music scene at large. But, that is because Terrace worked on possibly the greatest jazz rap album of all time To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar. Songs like “King Kunta,” and “These Walls” had Martin’s input and they were some of the most celebrated tracks from that astounding record. The same energy is here for Nova in full force.

It’s been a pretty wild week for the couple, who are now facing calls of deportation after going out and about in sheer, barely decent bodysuits. Despite Italy’s stereotype as a sexually permissive nation, their outfits were seen as “deeply offensive” to the engrained Catholic roots of the nation. There wasn’t much official traction on these calls but you never go. Italy is an increasingly conservative nation under its new government. While that might align with Kanye politically, that may prove an issue for him.

However, they were back to showing more skin, albeit in a more private setting, soon enough. An intrepid paparazzo caught a snap of the couple relaxing in the back garden of whatever home they were staying in. Kanye could seen shirtless in what looked like swim shorts. Meanwhile, Censori had adopted a sepia bikini and was tanning in the sun on a brown beach towel.

Furthermore, additional details have emerged about the rumors that Kanye is currently working on new music. Two sources confirmed the rumor to NBC News. One of the sources claims to have been in the studio and listened to some of the music with Censori. Meanwhile, the second source, who is reportedly “close to Ye” told reporters at NBC that “new music is imminent.” If reports are accurate, it would mark the first release of new music from Kanye since Donda came out last year.

The rumors of new music first came out earlier this month. Fya Man claimed that Kanye has been working on new music all summer. “Music was worked on heavily, and the party was amazing,” the Chicago producer said. This was in reference to reports that Kanye had been working on music during his birthday party. However, at the time, Fya Man also confirmed that the new project was separate from Donda 2, which will remain unfinished for the time being.

Two Southern rappers meet for a follow-up of a song all about two crazy people trying to make it work. Atlanta, Georgia rapper and crooner Bktherula joins up with workhorse NBA Youngboy for “CRAZY GIRL P2.” This is a remake of her song “CRAZY GIRL,” which is track five off of her 2023 album LVL5 P1. It was her first album in two years where she brought on Destroy Lonely and fellow rising female star Rico Nasty.

What put her on the map were a couple of songs on Soundcloud, right around the time when the platform was putting a lot of new artists on to music fans. She began getting traction on the streaming platform in 2018 with the release of her singles “Faygo” and “Left Right”. Two years later in 2020, Bktherula’s song “Tweakin’ Together” went viral on TikTok. “LEFT RIGHT” is racking up streams with over 37.2 million on Spotify. “Tweakin’ Together” is also popular amongst the fans with 23 million plus plays.

Fans Of YoungBoy And Bktherula Like What They Hear

Both versions of “CRAZY GIRL” are about a toxic relationship and both do not even know each other’s crazy tendencies. This version remains the same but adds a melodic verse from NBA YoungBoy that matches the themes. Fans are currently in favor of the duo coming together again, “They’re perfect for each other frfr.” Another comment reads, “Yall should work together again. Yall energy and voices went so well together.” We will wait and see what happens, but we could see another collaboration sooner than later.

Furthermore, Yoruba is also spoken in Cuba and Brazil. “Meridian” has an immaculate beat that possesses a Latin-American element to it. The subtle guitar looming behind the 808s adds another ear-catching element. Overall, Dave’s collaboration deserves it flowers and he took the time to recognize the special moment on his social media.
