Cormega Drops “Essential” Produced By Havoc From ‘The Realness II” LP

Screen Shot 2022 08 11 at 9.18.49 AM

Iconic emcee, poet, and entrepreneur, Comega, recently inked a partnership with NYC-based label Viper Records to release The Realness II, the highly anticipated sequel to his classic studio album, The Realness, (originally released on July 23, 2001). Executive Produced by Cormega, The Realness II is slated for release at the end of Summer, and features verses from his longtime friends Nas and Havoc, with more to be announced.
The Alchemist, Sha Money XL, Havocand Big Ty, all of whom produced on The Realness, return for powerful tracks on The Realness II“I originally wanted to put out the album sooner, but it took patience and luck to get all the producers and artists back who appeared on the first Realness album on The Realness II. Although it took time, it was well worth it.” Additional tracks on The Realness II are produced by Harry Fraud, Large Professor, Streetrunner and more.

The first single to be released is “Essential,” produced by multi-platinum producer, Havoc. “Havoc and I have known each other for years! He’s been on more Cormega albums than any other artist. I appreciate that Havoc put extra effort into my single, Essential. The lesson I’ve learned when selecting producers is that it’s not just about their name and recent hit, but the extra effort they put into your music. With Havoc I have it all, name, track record, and most importantly we have history and chemistry!”

ICYMI: Here’s KenTheMan’s Panty Dropper for 2022 National Underwear Day

kentheman

KenTheMan’s newest single, “No Panties,” is the perfect panty dropper for 2022 National Underwear Day! The Houston rapper who was recently named a 2022 XXL freshman is known for her assertive lyrical nature, hence her moniker “KenTheMan.” The song’s pleasurably provocative lyrics speak to her sexual confidence and complete autonomy over her body. “Baby, this some Fenty, I don’t do no Vickie Secrets,” she expresses in her opening line. Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty lingerie line is prided on its focus on inclusivity yet remaining sexy. According to Forbes, Savage x Fenty is the frontrunner to dominate the global market share of lingerie due to the cultural push for inclusivity and body positivity. For so long, the male gaze dominated the lingerie market with brands such as Victoria’s Secret. This shift would allow women to control the societal view of their body image.

National Underwear Day was founded on August 5th by Freshpair, aiming to promote body positivity and spark conversation about how society views women’s bodies. Through the world of trendy body types and surgery, KenTheMan remains natural, and she accepts women of all kinds. Her songs, such as “No Panties,” show her confidence in her body image and control of her sexual narrative. KenTheMan’s sex-positive lyrics and inclusive brands are helping to diminish the power of female body image from the male gaze.

Iam Doechii

Doechii drops her first EP for Top Dawg Entertainment / Capitol Records she / her / black b*tch

The Tampa native comes out swinging as she flexes her distinct voice and versatile talents that range from quick-fire bars to seductive singing that cement her as Rap’s newest ‘it girl.’

Doechii lends her signature half-rap, half-singing flow over production from Kal Banx, Hit-Boy, Bankroll Got It and Devin Malik. Her EP is Executive Produced by Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith and Anthony “Moosa” Tiffith Jr.

The self-proclaimed ‘swamp princess’ noted that her EP title was a way for her to reclaim the power of being put down in the past. “Many times I’ve been referred to as a “b*tch” as a way to gaslight me out of certain spaces, something I think many people can relate to in one way or another,” says the 23-year-old.

“Lots of people will call you various names for doing something differently. So I decided to take ownership of the ‘Black b*tch’ and title my EP she/ her/ black b*tch and reclaim that motherf***ing power,” Doechii added. “So if you’ve ever been put down for being yourself, just remember you’re powerful and unapologetic- these songs are for you.”

Yella Beezy Drops New Mixtape ‘Bad Azz Yella Boy’

Yella Beezy Reportedly Got Locked Up After Cops Found 5 Firearms

Before he makes his highly-anticipated Asylum Records album debut, high-profile Dallas recording artist Yella Beezy releases his first project in three years with new mixtape, Bad Azz Yella Boy, which is accompanied by the new music video for the album-cut, “DFMW”. Released Friday (August 5) on all digital streaming platforms via Profit Music Group, the new project comes on the heels of the “That’s On Me” hitmaker being cleared of all charges in several high-profile cases and signing a new deal with Asylum Records in late-2021 after leaving L.A. Reid’s Hitco Records.

Bad Azz Yella Boy includes 16 new songs that features guest appearances by newly-signed Quality Control recording artist Icewear Vezzo (“Out The Jar”) and up-and-coming act Mozz (“Problems”). On the production side, the project features multi-platinum producer, Murda Beatz (Migos, Travis Scott). From the cover to the sound, Yella’s latest release heavily sampled the nostalgic No Limit and Cash Money era.

“It’s like a reboot of how Cash Money and No Limit… their covers used to be,” Beezy tells iHeartRadio. “It was kinda inspired by that. I always wanted to do a cover like that. Since this is just a mixtape, I was like this is the perfect timing.”

The new mixtape is reset for the artist and fans who fell in love with him and his flashy trash talk-but-can back it up at any given moment ways in 2017 with his breakout mixtape, Broke Nights Rich Days. The return of that signature southern charm and grit that saw him collaborate with several of the biggest names in music, like Lil Baby (“Up One”), Gunna (“On Fleek”), and Chris Brown (“Restroom Occupied”)

He continued: “Yella Boy is just talking his s**t on there,” Beezy says. “So I feel like, this tape right here, I’m really talking a lot of s**t on there.”

In “DFWM,” Yella Beezy stars as ruthless no nonsense hustler who has to teach a rival crew a lesson for trying to stiff him on a deal. Things get ugly quickly while he raps about dealing with haters and unsavory characters when he is simply getting to the money and minding his own business. The visual delivers more nostalgia with Beezy and crew rolling around in a cherry-red 1985 BMW. Watch it above.

Bad Azz Yella Boy follows his 2019 mixtape, Baccend Beezy, that features Too Short, Chris Brown, Young Thug, and NLE Choppa. Beezy’s forthcoming album, currently untitled, coming soon on Asylum Records.
