Drake Announces PARTYNEXTDOOR Collab Album And Teases Fall Release

Drake is staying busy. It’s been days since Ebro and Peter Rosenberg teased the possibility of a new Drake album coming soon. The Hot 97 hosts claimed the 6 God was working with Conductor Williams in the studio. Based on his recent announcement, though, Drake has been doing a lot more than that. The rapper made a surprise appearance at a PARTYNEXTDOOR show on Friday, and proceeded to blow the minds of OVO fans. He confirmed that he has a joint album with PND in the works, and it will be dropping in the fall.

Drake came out and crushed the building with his song selections. He treated PARTYNEXTDOOR fans to live performances of “Sweeterman” and “Redemption.” He even played “Wah Gwan Delilah,” the bizarre Plain White T’s cover he dropped a few months back. Fans thought they were being treated to a surprise Drake and PND reunion, but Drake saved the best for last. Towards the end of his set, he told the crowd that him and PARTY have something in the works for the fall. “Once Summer over with,” he stated. “Do what you need to do, I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly… a PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be right there for you…” The resulting screams from fans are deafening.

Drake Claims Him And PND Have Been Recording

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have been making great music together since 2013. That was the year the former signed the latter to OVO, and when the latter dropped his self-titled debut. PARTYNEXTDOOR is very much a secret weapon for Drake when it comes to the R&B side of his persona. The two have linked up on classics like “Come and See Me” (2016), “Since Way Back” (2017) and “LOYAL” (2019). PND also stole the show with a pair of standout appearances on Drake’s iconic If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (2015).

The concept of a Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR collab album makes perfect sense on paper. The two artists have complimentary sounds. Some would argue that PND has played a big role in shaping the 6 God’s sound. PARTYNEXTDOOR’s writing talents have been praised ad nauseam, but his production on Drake’s “Legend” suggests he can also excel with a harder, hip-hop sound. The possibilities are endless for what the finished product will sound like. We just hope it’s a smoother rollout than Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s VULTURES 2. The pairing of rapper and R&B singer has yielded mostly drama. They did drop a new single, though, which you can check out below.

Ice Spice’s Tragic “Y2K” First Week Sales Projections Leave Fans Stunned

Following months of teasing, Ice Spice finally unleashed her debut album last week, Y2K. It boasts features from the likes of Gunna, Central Cee, and Travis Scott. Unfortunately, while the project had a ton of potential, many feel like it left a lot to be desired. Some were even quick to dub it the worst project of the year. That’s clearly up for debate, as the Bronx-born baddie arguably delivered at least a couple of bangers. Either way, the album’s commercial performance has been less than impressive.

According to Hits Daily Double, Y2K is on track to move 20k units in its first week. Social media users agree that this number is shockingly low, even considering all of the criticism surrounding the project. As a result, X users are now clowning the “Deli” rapper, and comparing her performance to that of peers like JT, Latto, and more.

Y2K On Track To Sell 20K Its First Week

Social media users are also speculating what could have caused the apparent drop-off. Some think it could be related to her shady comments about Nicki Minaj or other beef. Others also think she should change up her sound, and argue that listeners are simply getting bored. Luckily, not everyone has something bad to say about Y2K, as Pitchfork recently gave it a controversially high rating. The publication rated it 7.6 out of 10, the highest rating they’ve given a mainstream rap tape all year.

With that being said, many other critics have ripped the album to shreds. The same can be said for a new bonus track she unveiled today, “GYAT,” which has also elicited lukewarm reactions from listeners. What do you think of Ice Spice’s new album Y2K? What about it being on track to sell 20k units in its first week? Are you surprised or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Lil Uzi Vert Claims “Eternal Atake 2” Is Coming Soon

Lil Uzi Vert is an artist who oftentimes promises their fans new music and then doesn’t deliver. Overall, it has happened on numerous occasions and it has led to a whole lot of frustration. Luv Is Rage 3 and Barter 16 are two recent examples of this. These were supposed to be on the horizon, and with an Uzi retirement to follow suit. However, neither project has been delivered and there have been zero updates on what is actually happening there.

Having said all of that, Uzi was recently interviewed, and they gave fans another update on their upcoming music. Instead of providing updates on the aforementioned projects, it would appear as though a different sequel is on the horizon. As Uzi explained, fans can expect Eternal Atake 2 to drop soon. How soon? Well, we didn’t get an answer to that question. However, we’re sure this will make fans hopeful.

What is Lil Uzi Vert Planning?

Of course, Eternal Atake was Uzi’s 2020 offering that at the time, was a long time in the making. It was an album that fans ended up loving, and a sequel would certainly play well to the crowd. The Pink Tape turned out to be one of the more disappointing releases of last year, and fans would like to hear Uzi redeem themself. For now, it remains to be seen how Uzi is going to evolve with this next project. Hopefully, the System of a Down covers are left off this time around.

Let us know if you are excited for Eternal Atake 2, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this album is actually going to be released? Or do you think this is going to end up like Barter 16, which was never released and ultimately scrapped? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Killer Mike Examines His Faith On “Songs For Sinners & Saints” Album

Killer Mike really struck a chord with his 2023 album MICHAEL. He decided to move away from the aggressive sound that characterized his work in Run the Jewels. Instead, he spit over smooth, soulful, and often gospel-influence beats. We all loved it. Killer Mike decided to dig further into this gospel vibe, and the religious imagery that accompanies it, on his new album. Where MICHAEL took a nostalgic POV, though, Songs for Sinners & Saints opts for a grittier, grounded approach. Fans are going to love this too.

The aggression of the opener is going to be jarring to some. “BUSSIN BRICKS INTRO” feels more in line with the glitchy, angry energy that Killer Mike perfected with RTJ. The rest of Songs for Sinners & Saints takes a more laid-back approach. Anthony Hamilton sounds fantastic on the funky “NOBODY KNOWS.” The one-two punch of “HUMBLE ME” and “HIGHER LEVEL” distill the sounds and themes of the album down to perfect Southern rap cuts. Both feature soulful instrumentals and stellar flows from Killer Mike. The latter is especially fun, thanks to an interpolation of Outkast’s “Ms. Jackson.” Offset and Blxst keep the quality bar high on the touching Rico Wade tribute “EXIT 9 (SCENIC ROUTE).” Key Glock and Project Pat, meanwhile, bolster the hardest song on the entire album: “STILL TALK’N THAT SH*T.” Killer Mike is at the peak of his powers here. All Killer, no filler.

Kid Cudi Reveals His Next Album Is Done And Teases Release Date

Kid Cudi has had a difficult summer. The rapper broke his foot during his raucous Coachella show, and was sidelined for months as a result. He’s provided updates on his progress via social media, including a July 30 confirmation that he could walk again. Evidently, Kid Cudi made a point of being productive during his recovery. The rapper got on Twitter on August 1 to announce that he went full Biggie and recorded an album while he was injured. Better still, the album is already completed.

“I’m so hype,” he wrote on Thursday morning. “I got my next album finished and I really cant wait for yall to get a taste.” If the confirmation of a brand new Kid Cudi album wasn’t enough, the rapper hinted at a release date right around the corner. “Maybe this Fall,” he added. Fans were overjoyed by the news, and Cudi retweeted some of the most excited reactions on his timeline. He also clarified that he’s not taking a break when it comes to recording. A user questioned whether the rapper was still on a hiatus, and he got back at him by tweeting: “U talkin bout when I said that 2 years ago?? Ive dropped 3 albums since.”

Kid Cudi Originally Announced An Album For 2026

Kid Cudi has a point. He’s been a busy man throughout this decade. Ever since his Kanye West collab, Kids See Ghosts, in 2018, the rapper has been dropping critically acclaimed albums. Man on the Moon III: The Chosen lived up to the hype of the first two installments in 2020. Entergalactic and INSANO did well with fans in 2022 and 2023, respectively. That’s not even counting the INSANO (Nitro Mega) release that dropped in February. Kid Cudi is on a creative roll, and it sounds like he’s keeping the momentum going.

Those who have kept up with Cudi, however, may be surprised to learn that he’s eyeing a fall release date. The rapper claimed he was 80% done with his next album in February, but asserted that it wouldn’t be released until 2026. “It’ll be out in 2026,” he tweeted. “As always, we’re takin it someplace new. Just wanted to let yall know, expect an album from me every other year.” The broken foot may have played a role in the scheduling change, since Cudi originally planned to act in the coming year. He even has a role in the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan film Trap. Regardless of the cause, more Cudi music, and sooner, is change we can get behind.

JPEGMAFIA Doubles Down On Drake Diss

JPEGMAFIA is an artist who says what he wants, when he wants. Overall, he has never been one to mince words, and fans love him for it. You may remember his one-sided feud against Freddie Gibbs during the Vultures sessions. Furthermore, Peggy has made numerous comments about other artists in his songs. For instance, he has been dissing Drake for years at this point. On his latest album I Lay Down My Life For You, JPEGMAFIA delivered his biggest Drake diss yet.

There were some bars about the allegations Kendrick Lamar made against Drake throughout their widely-publicized feud. Furthermore, JPEGMAFIA used the term “No Drizzy” which is supposed to be a remix of the “No Diddy” trend. Ultimately, fans had a massive reaction to the diss, and it was the talk of social media. However, as JPEGMAFIA noted on Twitter, it really isn’t that big of a deal. Moreover, he challenged anyone who has a problem with him to show up to his tour.

JPEGMAFIA Is Unfazed

“1st off i been dissing that n***a since 2016, them shits was throwaway bars not noteworthy, second off if anybody got a problem with what i said on this album, my tour dates in bio. third, yall cant even pay your rent but defending drake for free, go outside and be somebody,” Peggy wrote. Needless to say, JPEGMAFIA wants all of the smoke right now. He is confident in his art, and doesn’t want to hear any flack from anyone.

Let us know what you think of JPEGMAFIA dissing Drake, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that his disses were uncalled for? How do you feel about the new JPEGMAFIA album? JPEGMAFIA Controls The Chaos On “I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU”

JPEGMAFIA is a menace. The man raps like nobody else, and makes beats like nobody else. He sounds beamed in from another dimension, where hip-hop is slightly off-kilter, and it’s incredible. Peggy reached a cultural high with his Danny Brown collab SCARING THE H*ES in 2023, but he’s back to doing what he does best on his new solo album. I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU definitely scares the h*es, but there’s darker elements at play here, and JPEGMAFIA channels them all brilliantly. The opener, “i scream this in the mirror before I interact with anyone,” lives up to its antisocial title. Guitar riffs crash into Peggy’s voice, resulting in an unhinged sonic stew.

There’s more of a traditional rap sound on the rest of the album, but only barely. “SIN MIEDO” flips a classic Miami bass sample into the musical equivalent of a mosh pit. “I’ll Be Right There” provides an unexpected breather, with its lush strings and romantic and the Jade sample spliced throughout. The artist has a knack for making incongruous sounds work together to create something unexpected, and the best parts of I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU stem from this unpredictability. It also helps that Peggy has electric chemistry with the likes of Vince Staples and Denzel Curry. Staples sounds menacing as ever on “New Black History,” while Curry skates over a messy horn break on “JPEGULTURA!” JPEGMAFIA also finds time to diss Drake multiple times, but you can read more about that here. Overall, I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU is another triumph.

Drake’s New Album With Conductor Williams Is Reportedly Dropping Soon

Drake can’t stop. He announces breaks from the music the way other rappers announce retirements, and none of them stick. The last time the 6 God claimed to be taking personal time, he dropped the critically adored Scary Hours 3. It sounds like he’s getting back into a similar headspace. There hasn’t been a lack of Drake material in recent months, but Ebro dropped a bombshell during the July 30 episode of the Ebro In the Morning podcast. He claimed that the Toronto rapper is going to be dropping an album very, very soon.

Ebro didn’t play coy with his seemingly exclusive information. He came right out on the podcast and made it clear that Drake is in full-on rapper mode. “I heard Drake’s got a project this year,” he told his cohosts. Laura Stylez chimed in, teasing fans with an impending release date. “I heard that it’s coming sooner than we think,” she asserted. The most exciting bit of information, though, came from the third host, Peter Rosenberg. He claimed that Drizzy has been in the studio with Conductor Williams, and the two have been churning out songs together. “I also heard that he has a whole project’s worth of music done with Conductor Williams,” Rosenberg noted. “Which is the opposite [of recent Drake songs], very hip-hoppy.”

Drake And Conductor Williams Worked On FATD

Fans of For All the Dogs know the magic Drake and Conductor Williams can make together. Williams was responsible for producing “8AM In Charlotte,” which is considered to be one of Drake’s best songs of the decade. He also produced “Stories About My Brother” on Scary Hours 3. The song also contains some of Drizzy’s best rapping in years. If the claims made by the Ebro In the Morning crew are true, than fans will be getting lyrical Drake. It’s possible that not all of Williams’ beats make the final cut of the album, but given their track record, we hope most of them do.

Conductor Williams detailed his working relationship with Drake during a 2023 interview with Complex. “[Drake] is a crafts person,” he said. “And also a person of the arts. That was the main bond. The respect was mutual in that way. He made it so comfortable for me to be myself to where I start sending him the ideas that I’ve always had.” The producer then claimed that Drizzy was one of the greatest artists of his generation. “You got the greatest, one of the greatest artists,” he asserted. “Again, I’m going keep saying this, one of the greatest of my generation inspired to write. Let’s catch lightning in the bottle.”
