Ice Spice Gives Cash Cobain And Bay Swag’s Viral Hit ‘Fisherrr’ An Additional Boost On A New Remix

Ice Spice kicked off her 2024 by really going for it with the single “Think U The Sh*t (Fart).” It wasn’t that long ago that Ice Spice was an up-and-comer, and now she’s giving another one assist by hopping on Cash Cobain and Bay Swag’s remix of the viral hit “Fisherrr.”

On her verse, Ice calls back to her Nicki Minaj collaboration “Princess Diana,” rapping, “And my ass fat ’cause I eat my oats and my vegetables / And my p*ssy fat, and it’s creamy, ooh, tastes like Danimals.”

As HipHopDX notes, the song initially leaked last week when Akademiks posted it after supposedly receiving it anonymously via a DM.

Meanwhile, fans can expect more from Ice in the not-too-distant future: In March, she declared that she had finished recording her upcoming album Y2K. You’ll be able to check her out on the big screen, too, as it was announced earlier this month that she has been cast in Spike Lee’s upcoming movie High And Low, alongside Denzel Washington.

Uproxx’s Aaron Williams also deemed Ice to be a Coachella 2024 highlight, writing, “The people danced. They rapped. Every word. Her mic was ON. She had immaculate breath control. Her set design, consisting of inflatable subway trains and a giant Ice Spice head, built a world. She is what hip-hop has needed all this time. Stop hating.”

Normani’s Long-Awaited Debut Album ‘Dopamine’ Has A Release Date At Long Last

Ever since Fifth Harmony went on hiatus in 2018, fans have been waiting for Normani to drop her debut solo album. She has delivered the top-10 singles “Love Lies” with Khalid and “Dancing With A Stranger”” with Sam Smith, but as of 2024, fans are still waiting for the album.

That’s about to change soon, though. In February, Normani, at long last, announced that her debut album is called Dopamine, and that it is set for a 2024 release. Now, we have more concrete release date info.

Today (April 26), Normani shared “1:59,” a new single featuring Gunna. Alongside that song came confirmation that Dopamine is scheduled for release on June 14.

In a February interview with Who What Wear, Normani said of the album, “For me, this upcoming album is not just about music coming out. It feels like a representation of everything I’ve gone through to get to this moment. I know I needed time, experiences, and space coming out of [Fifth Harmony] in order to become the version of myself I needed to be. Without [all of that], I would not be able to exist within the creative space that I am in now. I would not be able to make the type of music I’m making now.”

Dopamine is out 6/14 via RCA Records. Find more information here.

Kanye West & His New Yeezy P*rn Venture Get Huge Endorsement From Stormy Daniels’ Ex

Kanye West shocked his fans this past week when he announced that he would be coming out with a new venture called Yeezy Porn. Overall, this was a bit of a surprise given the fact that Ye has been adamant about his issues with porn addiction. Moreover, he has tried to maintain some Christian beliefs, and this venture would completely go against that. In the end, fans are split on his new announcement, with many proclaiming more anger than they did when he was spewing White Nationalist talking points.

As it pertains to Yeezy Porn, it appears as though the venture is getting a huge endorsement from an industry veteran. That person just so happens to be Mike Moz, who used to be with Stormy Daniels. While speaking to TMZ, Moz expressed his admiration for Ye. Additionally, he noted that this venture is going to be revolutionary and that it isn’t just going to be some sort of run of the mill porn operation.

“I’ve been having discussions with Ye about a potential collab between Yeezy brand and my team at Vixen Media Group. While it’s too early to give any details I’m excited about where Ye’s vision takes this,” Moz said. “The idea that this project is going to be another porn studio is not correct. It will be like nothing we’ve ever seen before.”

Let us know what you think of this new venture from Kanye West, in the comments section down below. Do you believe it is really that egregious? Why do you think fans are taking exception to this but not his previous anti-semitic remarks? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Metro Boomin Confirms His Collab Album With JID Is “Still A Thing”

Metro Boomin is a busy man. He just dropped two collab albums with Future and started a hip-hop civil war against Drake, but the St. Louis producer is already looking forward to what’s next. He made it clear he wanted to work with Eminem on X (formerly Twitter), but the real collaboration that has fans excited is the rumored album between Metro and JID. It’s been a long time since either artist provided an update, but concerns over whether it was scrapped in light of rap beef politics have been put to rest.

Metro was asked if the JID album was “still a thing” on April 25, and he responded in haste. “Very much so,” he tweeted back. The responses were flooded with fans voicing their relief, since JID is a Dreamville signee and Metro’s relationship with J. Cole is, let’s say, complicated at the moment. Cole was a target on the Metro produced single “Like That,” and he even responded with his own diss. The rapper took it back, however, and appeared on the Metro produced album cut “Red Leather.” All good, right? Well, not quite. Metro ALSO co-produced the “Like That” remix, which contained more bars aimed at Cole’s head.

Metro Boomin Is Still Working Closely With JID

JID has not discussed the Cole situation, but fans had a good reason to be skeptical of his planned Metro collab. The album between JID and Metro was announced back in March 2023. “Got a lot of new music coming but when me and @JIDsv drop,” the latter wrote next to fire emojis. JID responded to the tweet by hyping up the album further: “I love working with u brudda, it’s an honor.” There haven’t been details with regards to a title or release date, but have taken to calling the album “JIDTRO.” There’s also been a few snippets of the two artists working together, most notably “Just Do It” and “Ashes2Ashes.”

JID is also staying busy. The Atlanta rapper confirmed that he will be releasing a solo album before his Metro collab called Forever & a Day. The title has fans theorizing that it will be a sequel to The Forever Story, which proved to be his critical and commercial breakthrough in 2022. Forever & a Day will have 10-12 songs, but like the Metro collab, a proper release has not been announced.

Regardless of how long it takes JID and Metro to cook up a finished product, it’s safe to assume they will deliver the goods.

Metro Boomin Wants To Collab With Eminem Amidst Drake Feud

Eminem is back. The Detroit legend announced that he’ll be releasing his anticipated comeback album, The Death of Slim Shady, this summer. He couldn’t have picked a better time to do so, given that hip-hop has experienced a commercial resurgence in 2024. Part of the reason for this resurgence is the feud between Drake and seemingly every other popular artist in the genre. Metro Boomin is one of the artists who started this feud, and he recently announced that he’d love to collaborate with Slim Shady.

Metro took to X (formerly Twitter) after Eminem released the teaser for his new album. The producer didn’t mince words. “Somebody please tell Eminem I’m tryna lock in,” he wrote next to three lock emojis. Metro has been one of the prolific artists in the genre for a decade, so it makes sense that he’d want to experiment. Metro has praised the Detroit rapper multiple times in the past. He hyped up Shady’s 2011 BET cypher on X (back when it just Twitter). He also workshopped a “dream” album with Em in mind during a thread in January.

Metro Boomin Wants To “Lock In” With Slim Shady

Metro Boomin said he wanted to create an album featuring all the rap stars of the early 2000s. A user asked who he want to work with most, and he named Eminem as one of his top picks. Those who have followed Metro’s career should not be taken aback by his fandom. While his beats sounds worlds apart from Eminem’s, the producer loves Em and Dr. Dre’s work on 2001. He told GQ that they the album was the inspiration for his own Heroes & Villains release. “You can still make great songs with [artists], but as a producer, it’s like, what are you bringing,” he noted. “You’ve got to bring new artists. That’s a big part of your duty.”

Metro Boomin may be in luck. Eminem has broadened his musical palette in recent years, as evidenced by Kamikaze. The 2018 album saw the veteran emcee switch up his usual beat makers for contemporary producers like Tay Keith, Ronny J and Mike Will Made It. It was eventually certified platinum, so the tweak worked. Eminem hasn’t divulged how far along he is on his upcoming album, but most hip-hop fans would at least be curious to hear what he sounds like over a bombastic Metro instrumental.

PARTYNEXTDOOR’s ‘For Certain’ Video Is Certainly A Party, But With A ‘Sinister Twist’

PARTYNEXTDOOR’s PartyNextDoor 4 (P4) album cover art reveal was jarring because it captures a nude woman from behind. Among Uproxx’s Wongo Okon’s “4 Wishes” for PARTYNEXTDOOR’s first full-length effort since 2020 was a new album cover. We have not gotten that, but the video for P4 track “For Certain” proves that PARTYNEXTDOOR wasn’t aiming for surface-level shock value.

Directed by Edgar Daniel, the five-plus-minute video begins with PARTYNEXTDOOR pulling up to an undisclosed and unassuming location at night. Once inside, a party is raging. “We didn’t vibe on the first night, but you’re so enticing,” he sings. “We didn’t vibe then, but now I want you.” And yes, he is “for certain” that he wants someone as his girlfriend, but the sheer number of beautiful women dancing makes it impossible to know which woman he wants.

All seems well and good. Everyone appears to be lost in the vibe, as harmless as a promiscuous night like this could be — and then, there’s a jarring plot twist about three minutes in. PARTYNEXTDOOR is holding cash and receiving a lap dance when a woman brings out drinks, and it’s soon very evident that he has been roofied. Suddenly, we’re inside of a hallucination, and an unseen narrator takes over.

“Those guys, they walk around acting like gods,” she says while footage of different men schmoozing women flits across the screen. “You wouldn’t believe the sh*t they get away with, and they’re still up in the club. That’s why we can do this — again, again, again, and again — because, to them, it’s just another night. But to us, it’s all about money.”

By now, the video depicts the women spiking several men’s drinks to steal their cash. The video’s end credits double as a pseudo breaking news broadcast about “a clandestine underground crime ring” with “multiple female suspects” in custody after “targeting unsuspecting men on online platforms.” The departing message is, “It’s a sinister twist in the realm of criminal activity — shattering stereotypes and underscoring the need for vigilance in today’s society.”

Tems Dropped ‘Love Me JeJe,’ A Loving Song That Finds Her ‘Paying Tribute’ To Nigeria

It happened slowly, and then all at once. The Tems well ran dry (outside of her casually earning an Oscar nomination for writing on Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up”) for two years before she returned with “Me & U” last October, and the Nigerian artist proceeded to drop “Not An Angel” in December. Then, in between her Coachella 2024 sets, Tems announced Born In The Wild, her debut studio album due out in May.

Before officially announcing the album with a 56-second trailer, Tems confirmed to her audience during Coachella 2024 Weekend 1 that her album was done. As shared by Seyi Sodimu on Instagram, Tems introduced “Love Me JeJe” as her “paying tribute to my country” and debuted it with a call-and-response performance, including the catchy hook, “Love my jeje, love me tender.” Elsewhere in the song, Tems emphasizes her undying devotion and loyalty with masterful use of repetition: “Any time you call me, I’ll be down / I’ll be down / Because I love and I love and I love and I love you only / Because I need and I need and I need and I need you more.”

“Love Me Jeje” officially arrived on Friday, April 26. As pointed out by Billboard, Sodimu, a Nigerian singer-songwriter, released “Love Me JeJe” featuring Shafy Bello in 1997. Now, “Love Me JeJe” serves as the first song confirmed to be from Tems’ Born In The Wild.

JT Is More Than ‘Okay’ On Her Ultra Confident Single Ahead Of ‘City Cinderella’

JT has gone hard for “Okay,” her latest single that finds her bars going even harder. “I’m about to get super annoying promoting okay!” The Miami rapper admitted to her followers on X (formerly Twitter) ahead of the song’s release. “I want this song to GO!”

JT shouldn’t have to try too hard to convince people on “Okay,” considering the song oozes infectious confidence. “I’m pretty than a motherf*cker, hoes be looking okay,” she raps. “She think that she f*ckin’ with me, is this b*tch okay? / He said he ain’t f*ckin’ around, I look at him like, ‘Okay’ / I used to down bad, but now a b*tch okay.”

The City Girls star is currently on her first headlining solo US tour, with her next show set for Friday, April 26, at The Harbor in New York, New York.

“The Harbor said I can go all night,” JT posted on Thursday night, April 25. “Safe to say WE OUTSIDE tomorrow & that’s on OKAY!!!”

“Okay” follows “No Bars” and “Sideways” as JT’s solo releases — all generating anticipation for her forthcoming solo project City Cinderella.

The project is named after JT’s fund “uplifting local partners who work tirelessly to ensure that every girl who dreams of going to prom can do so in a dress that makes her feel like royalty” because “economic barriers should not prevent any high school girl from experiencing the joy and self-confidence that comes with feeling beautiful on of the most memorable nights,” as detailed on the campaign’s official website.

In other words, JT is trying to make as many people as possible feel as good as she does in “Okay.”

Normani And Gunna Make Sultry Plans On ‘1:59,’ Normani’s Lead Single From ‘Dopamine’

Normani has given new meaning to long-awaited. Her fans have been waiting for her debut full-length studio album for five-plus years, and she finally announced Dopamine alongside its cover art in February. By late March, an X (formerly Twitter) user circled back with Normani about the silence since her album announcement, to which Normani replied that she’d address the matter the following day, and she did — announcing the lead single “1:59” featuring Gunna would arrive on April 26.

As promised, “1:59” is here. Plus, Normani finally confirmed that Dopamine will be released on June 14. As it were, the slow-burning R&B banger finds Normani just as tired of waiting around as her fans. “When I get you alone / Boy, what you gon’ do with it?” Normani sings, her vocals as strong as ever. “Don’t talk too much, just do this sh*t.” Gunna’s sings back to her, promising “You gon’ like the things I do.”

The sultry song is Normani’s first release since she collaborated with Sam Smith on the 2019 earworm “Dancing With A Stranger,” which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, Gunna is 10 days removed from announcing One Of Wun as his next album.

While “1:59” is the official lead single from Dopamine, Normani gave a taste of “Candy Paint” in a Bose ad last summer.

Dopamine is out 6/14 via RCA Records. Find more information here.
