Earlier this week, the MET Gala took place in New York. The biggest night in fashion fittingly had the biggest stars in nearly every facet of popular culture in attendance. Though some of the absences from this year’s event got attention, most notably Rihanna and Taylor Swift, there were still dozens and dozens of stars in attendance making waves. Musical stars like Lana Del Rey and Tyla stole the show with their fashion while artists like Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, and Lil Nas X made waves just for being in attendance.

One of the very last stars to walk down the iconic carpet and up the MET Gala’s notorious stairs was Cardi B. She had a stunningly elaborate black dress that took up nearly the entire carpet. But as it turns out the black dress she wore wasn’t always the plan. She took to social media with a behind-the-scenes video of a green alternate that was once planned for the big night. Some fans appeared to like the alternate even more and asked her why she switched it up. “It wasn’t photographing well. It translated different on all lighting and angels on camera” she explained. According to a post from Kurrco, “Kanye has reportedly abandoned the idea of launching ‘YZY P*RN.’ All announcement posts have already been taken down.”

YEEZY Porn May Be Kaput, But Kanye West Is Unpredictable

It is not clear where this information came from, but this is predictable Ye. While it seems like this idea could be in the trash for now, do not count him out just yet. Joe Biden’s campaign team took aim at Donald Trump on social media, Monday, by flipping the lyrics to Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” diss track. In doing so they posted a video of several pictures of the former President while the song plays. “It’s always been about love and hate, now let me say I’m the biggest hater. I hate the way that you walk over women’s rights, the way that you talk about immigrants. I hate the way that you dress, I hate the way that you sneak diss on truth social,” the text over the video reads.

In the original version of the song, Lamar goes after Drake amid their ongoing feud. He raps: “It’s always been about love and hate, now let me say I’m the biggest hater / I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress / I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it’s gon’ be direct / We hate the b*tches you f*ck ’cause they confuse themself with real women.”

In her new era, Megan Thee Stallion has been leaning into snake-inspired themes and imagery, like on the January single “Hiss.” Since then, fans have been waiting for new music… besides the GloRilla collab “Wanna Be” and the just-released “I Think I Love Her Freestyle.” As for official standalone singles, a new one is on the way, Meg announced today (May 7).

On social media, Megan announced that a new song called “Boa” is set for release soon, on May 10, this Friday. She also has some pretty sweet merch offerings for the single: Available for pre-order now via Meg’s webstore are six different editions of the CD single, each of which has its own PlayStation 2-inspired cover art and disc art.

Meg is so far delivering on the promise she made at the start of this month: On the 1st, she teased, “Hotties it’s officially MEGAN MAY [snake emoji] Get ready [flame emoji].”

Beyond that, other “Megan May” festivities include the Hot Girl Summer Tour. She announced the run back in March and it’s set to kick off on May 14 in Minneapolis. GloRilla is set to join on a number of dates, which will run through to the end of July.
