Earlier this month, disturbing footage of Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Cassie was obtained by CNN and quickly went viral. In the footage, the Bad Boy Records founder is seen assaulting the songstress at a hotel in 2016, kicking her and attempting to drag her through a hallway. It appears to corroborate some of the allegations Cassie made against him in her now-settled lawsuit. The circulation of the footage has prompted countless social media users and peers to weigh in, with most condemning the mogul for his egregious behavior.
Now, following a six-month investigation of Diddy’s allegedly abusive past, Rolling Stone has spoken with The Notorious B.I.G.’s mother Voletta Wallace about the footage. According to her, he owes an apology to both Cassie and his own mother, Janice Combs. She told the outlet that while she had previously taken a liking to Diddy, after seeing the upsetting footage, she’s nothing short of “ashamed.”
“I’m sick to my stomach,” she told the outlet of the plethora of allegations Diddy’s facing, “I’m praying for Cassie. I’m praying for his mother. I don’t want to believe the things that I’ve heard, but I’ve seen [the hotel video]. I pray that he apologizes to her.” Wallace continued, admitting that the footage was enough to convince her that she was wrong about Diddy.
“I hope that I see Sean one day and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. And you can quote me on that,” she explained. “Because I liked him. I didn’t want to believe all the awful things, but I’m so ashamed and embarrassed.” What do you think of The Notorious B.I.G.’s mother Voletta Wallace claiming that she wants to “slap the daylights out of” Diddy? Nicki Minaj said she wouldn’t wish her recent treatment at the Amsterdam airport on her worst enemy in a new interview addressing the incident. A week ago, the Queens rapper livestreamed as she was detained at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam for possession of marijuana. After the weed was discovered, airport authorities searched all of her luggage and questioned her, causing the postponement of her upcoming show in Manchester, England.
Although she previously released a statement thanking fans for their support, Nicki went more in-depth during a livestream on Stationhead, saying, “Not being able to get to Manchester, I don’t know when was the last time I felt that low. Not only that, but knowing that something is being done to you on purpose simply because you are a confident other race.”
She continued, “There was one lady there — all the rest were men — and I could tell she had a heart. The treatment was just disgusting, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”

The incident did not stop Ms. Minaj from announcing the second North American leg of her Pink Friday 2 tour, which will pick up when she returns to the States in September and include dates in her hometown, Queens, New York.
Megan Thee Stallion is one of the biggest rappers of the past few years, but on her road to the top, the journey was different than those of her male contemporaries. Megan discussed that some in a new interview.
“For female rappers, there’s a line that you don’t want to cross. You want to be Miss Congeniality. You want to be well liked by everyone. You want to be the baddest, you want to be the best, but you want to do it the right way. I did have to learn that there is no right way. Whoever you are, be that. If you crazy, be crazy. If you nice, be nice. If you mean, be mean. If you sad, be sad. Whatever your lane is, just be that. Be your real true self.”
She also said of the theme behind her upcoming album, “We don’t just stop at the snake. This is just what everybody sees right now. Renewal, rebirth: that is the whole concept of this [album]. We started with the snake because, first of all, I love snakes, but I feel like snakes are so misunderstood, especially in western culture. Snakes represent rebirth, spirituality. I’m not really a person that’s like, ‘Oh my God, sunshine,’ and just super bubbly, happy. I like darker things. I like things that are a little scary. I like things that are unique. I picked the snake because… it’s kind of like an antihero.”
Introducing the L’OFFICIEL June 2024 global cover star, Megan Thee Stallion. The 29-year-old Grammy Award-winning rapper, who coined the phrase “hot girl summer,” covers our annual summer entertainment issue. For @TheeStallion‘s cover story go here: https://t.co/JdvZ4zfLi0
Megan Thee Stallion’s years in the public eye have taught her some lessons on the best ways to be. That’s one of the things she discusses in a newly released interview with L’Officiel. In the piece she shared some advice for female rappers and also revealed how she arrived at the philosophy she now follows. ““For female rappers, there’s a line that you don’t want to cross. You want to be Miss Congeniality, you want to be well liked by everyone. You want to be the baddest, you want to be the best, but you want to do it the right way,” she begins.
While it’s evocative for Megan to claim there’s a “right way” for her and her contemporaries to act, it’s not what it seems. She opened up further on her philosophy of trying your hardest to be yourself because no matter what you do, people will criticize. “I did have to learn that there is no right way. Whoever you are, be that. If you crazy, be crazy, if you nice, be nice. If you mean, be mean, if you sad, be sad. Whatever your lane is, just be that. Be your real true self,” Meg concludes. Ticketmaster is easily one of the largest companies in the entire world. Overall, they have a monopoly of sorts on the live events market. If you are someone who has bought tickets to either a concert or sporting event, you have probably dealt with Ticketmaster. In fact, you have probably dealt with some massive price spikes while trying to cop tickets in real-time. Although everyone has to use them, the Department of Justice is filing an antitrust lawsuit against them. However, there is no telling what will come of this.
Well, some bad news has hit the company once again this morning. According to Uproxx, the group ShinyHunters has claimed to have hacked Ticketmaster in what can be described as a data breach. They have allegedly stolen the personal information of 560 million customers, which comes out to 1.3 Terabytes. In fact, they are looking to sell this data for a total of $500K. As for what the hackers stole, they currently have usernames, contact information, order info, and partial payment info. Partial payment info meaning the expiry date of your credit card, as well as the last four digits.
Ticketmaster has not officially commented on the situation. Needless to say, customers are being left in the lurch on this one. Given all the scrutiny Ticketmaster is under right now, this is probably the last thing they need. Needless to say, consumer confidence is likely at an all time low.
Let us know what you think about this recent development, in the comments section down below. Does this news worry you at all as someone who uses Ticketmaster? Are you going to think twice about using them in the future? Additionally, stay tuned HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been hit with some challenges ever since he took office. Overall, he isn’t exactly the most popular man in the world. Many are unimpressed with the changes he has made to the city and public transportation in particular. Moreover, some believe the city has become way too overpoliced since he took office. Now, however, Adams faces a new dilemma thanks to the allegations against Diddy. As Adams suggested last week, he is thinking of revoking the artist’s key to the city.
Recently, Adams was on 94.7’s “Jonesy in the Morning” radio show. It was here where he was asked again about the Diddy scandal and the footage of the artist hitting Cassie. Adams reiterated that it was disgusting and that he may have to take his key of the city away. “That video, as you saw, was really, really painful to watch,” Adams explained. “As a person who has two sisters, you know, I was really troubled by it.”
Eventually, host Tarsha Jones joked “If all else fails, just change the locks.” This subsequently led to a hearty laugh from Adams who found the comment amusing. All-in-all, it isn’t that easy, especially since the city has never had to do something like this. At this stage, there is no telling if they even can revoke his key. Only time will tell what happens next for Diddy as many look to distance themselves from him.
Let us know what you think of the decision Mayor Eric Adams has to make, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that he should revoke Diddy’s key to the city? Would that send a message or do you find it to be an empty gesture at this juncture? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Roddy Ricch had a huge debut album era with Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial: The project went No. 1 and spawned the chart-topping single “The Box.” Since then, he’s come through with the 2021 album Live Life Fast and the 2022 mixtape Feed Tha Streets III. Now he’s ready to add to his legacy once more, as he is gearing up to launch a new era.
On Instagram yesterday (May 30), Ricch shared a new image gallery, photos of him wearing a suit and blankly looking at the camera. He wrote, “2024 is PERSONAL not business.” He also indicated his next project is called The Navy Album by sharing on his Instagram Story a post from a fan page declaring, “The Navy Album era has begun.”
In his 2022 Uproxx cover story, Ricch spoke about his biggest takeaway from the first chapter of his career, saying, “A lot of times, you may get distracted by trying to rekindle relationships with different things. I feel like just what I learned is just sometimes, even if it’s broke, sometimes it’s just better not to deal with certain things or don’t let certain things bother you — everything’s not going to be perfect. Sometimes when you sit down and think about a lot of sh*t, you try to make everything perfect, and I feel like the thing I learned is it’s okay to not be perfect. There’s perfect in imperfection.”
During the most recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the retired MC spoke about Drake and all of the latest hot takes about him. As you can see in the clip below, Budden noted that while Drake’s placement as an MC might be affected, his legacy remains unscathed. In fact, Joe thinks it would take a lot more than just some reference tracks for Drake’s image to truly take a hit. After over a decade of providing us with hits, Budden is pretty confident of Drake’s current standing in the culture.
“I don’t care what Drake does,” Budden said. “For me Drake’s legacy is already cemented, a lot more has to happen for him to look as bad as some of yall want us to view him as.” Some fans probably would have expected a different take from Budden. However, he has always maintained that he is a fan of Aubrey. Sure, he’s been critical of the Canadian artist, but who hasn’t? Only time will tell whether or not Joe’s hypothesis about Drake gets proven wrong.
Let us know what you think of this take from Joe Budden, in the comments section down below. Do you agree that Drake and his legacy have already been cemented? Is there anything that can happen that would make you change your opinion of Drake? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Don Toliver has announced that his forthcoming album Hardstone Psycho will be dropping on June 14. While there are very few details regarding the tracklist, features, and general content of the project, fans are already excited about a myriad of possibilities. Hardstone Psycho will serve as a follow-up effort to Don Toliver’s 2023 album Love Sick. While many fans appreciated Love Sick upon release, the album failed to leave a truly memorable mark on the hip hop world, meaning there’s a bit of pressure on Don to deliver a classic with Hardstone Psycho. Regardless, here are five things that fans would be overjoyed to see on Don Toliver’s new album this summer.
Don Toliver and Kali Uchis have been a romantic item for over four years, which may surprise some fans. In fact, Kali recently gave birth to Toliver’s first child, linking the pair for the foreseeable future. Given that the couple share such a strong bond, it would only make sense to see Kali Uchis popping up in a few key placements on Don Toliver’s latest album. The couple have previously collaborated on songs such as “Fantasy,” “4 Me,” and “Drugs N Hella Melodies.”
The existing promotional material for Hardstone Psycho points to the project exhibiting themes of personal vulnerability combined with hard-edge trap bangers. Both of these musical styles seem like the perfect backdrop for the musical power couple, especially now that they share a child together.
4. A Few Festival Bangers
Like the other signees of Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack outfit, Don Toliver has made a name for himself off his festival appeal. The 29-year-old vocalist has garnered a reputation for delivering electrifying sounds that stir up crowds, and Hardstone Psycho‘s June release makes it ideal for a few Summer anthems. With any luck, Don Toliver’s upcoming album will have at least 2 or 3 contenders for song of the Summer, even if they do have to compete with smash hits like Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” or Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby.“
3. An Appearance From Travis Scott & Other Hip Hop Icons
As mentioned above, Don Toliver is famously signed to Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack imprint, and the pair have collaborated on numerous hit records. Travis holds front-and-center features on each of Don Toliver’s previous albums, making it something of a no-brainer for the Houston MCs to continue linking on Hardstone Psycho.
Don Toliver’s projects tend to be a bit feature-heavy, meaning there should be plenty of room for acts like James Blake, Nav, Sheck Wes, and other frequent collaborators to jump on the album as well. While Don has shown time and time again that he can carry a record without any assistance, fans would surely love to hear him showcasing his chemistry with a few of his industry friends.
2. Some Deep Emotionally Resonant Crooning
When Don Toliver announced that his forthcoming album would be titled Hardstone Psycho, many fans were a bit confused. After all, many listeners wouldn’t describe Toliver’s smooth, rhythmic vocals as “psychotic.” The confusion cleared up as Don began rolling out the project with several singles and visuals, including the recent track “Attitude.”
Apparently, the album is meant to serve as a tribute to Don Toliver’s late uncle, who served as a guiding force in Toliver’s life before passing away. His uncle was part of a motorcycle gang, hence the imagery and aesthetic used in the “Attitude” music video and subsequent album promo. If Don Toliver follows through on this premise, paying homage to his lost loved ones, we’re hoping to hear a few deep and emotional cuts on this album, dotted between the fast-paced party tracks.
1. A Tight, Concise Tracklist
While Don Toliver’s skills are certainly appreciated on albums such as Love Sick and Life Of A Don, these albums have been criticized for dragging out their runtime with unnecessary filler. In the modern streaming era, short concise tracklists loaded with non-stop hits tend to perform well, as they provide infinite replayability over time. With any luck, Hardstone Psycho will clock in at only 10-14 tracks, offering a perfect blend of laid-back chill vibes, festival bangers, and emotional deep cuts, without overstaying its welcome. No matter what Don Toliver delivers on his upcoming album, we’re sure that his core fanbase will be head over heels for the fresh release. The project has already produced a few hot singles, offering some real promise of the quality of the overall work. Hardstone Psycho drops June 14.
With how ingrained shopping and doing other things online are in our lives, this means that a ton of companies have access to our personal data. Ideally, they’re taking care to keep it safe, but sometimes, things happen. Well, it looks like a thing just happened: As Consequence notes, the hacking group ShinyHunters claims to have stolen the personal data of 560 million Ticketmaster customers.
ShinyHunters says they’ve stolen 1.3 terrabytes of data from Ticketmaster, including a lot of sensitive information: usernames, contact information, order info, and partial payment info like the last four digits of credit card numbers and expiration dates. They are offering to sell their haul for $500,000.
Ticketmaster themselves have yet to acknowledge the supposed hacking, but a spokesperson for Australia’s Department Of Home Affairs told the Australian Broadcasting Department it’s “working with Ticketmaster to understand the incident.”
This news arrives while Ticketmaster parent company Live Nation is already not having an awesome time: It was reported last week that the US Department Of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster, “accusing [Live Nation Entertainment] of illegally maintaining a monopoly in the live entertainment industry.”
Public sentiment really turned against Ticketmaster in 2022, when the platform had significant issues as tickets for Taylor Swift’s wildly popular The Eras Tour went on sale.
