Clipse and Justin Timberlake have been linked for over two decades. The rap duo and the pop star both scored breakout hits with the Neptunes, and owe a great deal of their success to Pharrell Williams. Clipse and JT even worked together on the 2002 single “Like I Love You.” Both parties have had issues over the years, with Clipse breaking up and Timberlake becoming something of a pop culture pariah. The latter is currently being roasted by the internet over his recent drunk driving arrest. Despite the anti-Timberlake sentiment that’s taken root, however, Clipse maintain that they have nothing against the pop star.
Clipse, comprised of brothers Pusha T and No Malice, are back in the news. They’ve announced their first new song since 2009. They’ve also confirmed that their upcoming album will be entirely produced by Pharrell. Clipse and Justin Timberlake used to be on the same record label in the 2000s, but things became complicated when Pharrell and JT stopped working together. Pusha T claimed that Clipse and Pharrell-affiliated artists were shelved by the aforementioned label, Jive. This resulted in a four year gap between Clipse’s first and second albums. Pusha made it very clear, however, that he does not hold JT responsible. The rapper told TMZ that their issues were with Jive and not Timberlake. It was an “overall label thing,” he was quoted as saying. “[Not] a Justin thing.”

It cannot be definitively stated whether the photos capture all of the merchandise available, but this is what we have to go off of so far.

Another $50 “Not Like Us” graphic tee displays a bowl of New Ho King rice, a nod to the Toronto restaurant and unlikely beneficiary of the Drake-Kendrick beef. Kendrick Lamar and some of his best musical friends will be performing in California tonight at what is being called “The Pop Out.” Overall, this is a concert that a lot of fans have been anticipating. Of course, this is because of its proximity to the Drake beef. Although many fans have already agreed that Kendrick won, they have been hoping for some sort of statement. Well, tonight poses the perfect opportunity for Kendrick to address his fans and proclaim his win.
The concert is set to begin in less than an hour, and there is all sorts of anticipation buzzing through the air in California. In fact, thousands of fans are currently at the KIA Forum where they are looking to take their seats. Some fans are checking out the merch tables and they have noticed some interesting pieces. The vast majority of the pieces are t-shirts that cost between $40 and $70. One of the t-shirts includes a reference to Kendrick’s now infamous “New Ho King” bar on the song “Euphoria.”
As some of you may know, New Ho King is a restaurant in Toronto. Following Kendrick’s song, the restaurant even came through and delivered a new meal named after the Compton artist. Now, Kendrick appears to be taking a victory lap of sorts with this new merch piece. We’re sure plenty of fans will be proudly wearing this while the concert goes on.
