R. Kelly’s Music Is “Okay” To Talk About “Because He’s In Jail,” Stephen A. Smith Claims

Stephen A. Smith used his podcast, The Stephen A. Smith Show, to make a bizarre statement about disgraced rapper R. Kelly. While debating a tweet that simply read “Best sex song?”, Smith invoked the convicted sex offender. “I don’t want to bring up R. Kelly, but I think it’s okay now because he’s in jail,” Smith said in a widely disseminated clip. Furthermore, the clip has widely been met with shock that Smith, a widely-respected pundit with a national TV spot, would say something so out-of-pocket unprovoked.

The viral moment was part of a larger three-minute answer that Smith gave. His answers included Spandau Ballet’s “True”, The Jackson 5’s “All I Do Is Think Of You”, and Luther Vandross’ “A House Is Not A Home”. In regards to Kelly, Smtih’s pick was “Dedicated” and after the viral clip, he reasoned that he wouldn’t have brought it up if Kelly was “still out there, getting away with stuff.” However, Smith does go on to name at least three R. Kelly songs as part of his answer. Furthermore, Smith argues that “we can’t argue that there’s quite a few” R. Kelly songs that would make an objective list in answer to the question.

Smith Compares Kim Kardashian To A Sex Worker

However, fans have noticed that Smith has been getting increasingly out of pocket over the last year or so. One particularly egregious example was when Smith appeared to reveal obtaining illegal information to continue a beef with Lonzo Ball. Despite this, perhaps Smith’s most out-of-pocket statement in recent months was about Kim Kardashian. In July, Smith tweeted “Is Kim Kardashian a “prostitute”? Is Kris Jenner a “pimp”?” Understandable, Smith got a lot of heat for the tweet. However, one of the loudest voices, or at least one of the voices Smith paid attention to, was Patrick Beverley. The newly-signed Sixer called Smith out on the tweet. “Not cool. She has kids. Should not be the tittle or topic.” Smith’s tweet was later deleted as he went into damage control mode.

“Clerical error bro. You are absolutely right. That is being corrected right now as we speak. And for the record, I don’t think of @KimKardashian that way nor would I ever speak of her or any woman that way, which I’ve stated. That’s for checking that issue,” Smith tweeted in response to Beverley’s call out. The phrase of “clerical error” absolutely sent people on Twitter, mocking the veteran broadcaster for his bizarre phrasing and excuse-making. “I would never speak of a woman that way” right after he quite literally did is peak first take energy lol,” noted one commenter.

Drake Throws Shots At Joe Budden, Kanye West & Pusha T On “Scary Hours 3”

It’s Scary Hours, once again. Drake came through with the third installment of his EP series, For All the Dogs Scary Hours Edition, this morning, a little over a month after the release of For All The Dogs. Recorded in the days following his latest studio album, Drake appeared to have a chip on his shoulder with old feuds weighing on his mind. Drizzy addresses his issues with Kanye West, Pusha T, and Joe Budden, whose criticism of For All The Dogs earned an angry DM from the Canadian rapper, across the 6-song release.

Although the last time Ye spoke on Drake, it was more or less on a positive note, “Red Button” begins with the Canadian artist airing out his grievances regarding what he believes to be a fake friendship. “Every time you need me for a boost, I never hesitated/ Every time that Yeezy called a truce, he had my head inflated,” he raps. “Thinkin’ we gon’ finally peace it up and get to levitatin’/ Realize that everything premeditated.”

Drake Throws Shots At Ye, Joe Budden & 6ix9ine

However, Drake continues to fire at Kanye on “Stories About My Brothers,” referencing the Chicago artist’s recent barefooted outings. Additionally, he appears to reference Kanye’s verse on ScHoolboy Q’s “THat part,” where he compares himself to Kobe Bryant, as HipHopDX notes. “I can’t wait for the day that you choose to retire your stuff/ Taking off the sneakers ’cause you tired of tying ’em up/ That one day you wake up and tell ’em, ‘Enough is enough’/ That’s how you gon’ find out you not Kobe Bryant to us [laughs]/ Man, you not Kobe Bryant to us… at all,” he says.

Elsewhere in the song, he goes in on Joe Budden. “Imagine us getting our validation from an ex-musician searching for recognition/ Same story every time, they heckle in repetition/ I’m top of the mountain, these n***as still down at base camp, they planning they expedition.” Although we could expect Drake to fire at both Joe Budden and Ye, he took an unexpected shot at a 6ix9ine. “Y’all the type to catch a charge, head to the deposition/ And act like the rapper named after the sex position.”

Drake Continues To Diss Pusha T

Ever since Drake threw in the towel during his lyrical war against Pusha T, he’s attempted to revive the beef, presumably to redeem himself in some capacity. However, Push has said time after time that he had no interest in entertaining that feud again. Nonetheless, Drake took aim at Pusha T on “Wick Man,” rapping, “Man, I remember n***as was joking ’bout some tick, tick/ And now that rapper broke as fuck, that boy a statistic,” referencing Pusha T’s cruel diss toward Noah “40” Shebib on “The Story Of Adidon.”

Recently, Akademiks got into it with the likes of Saucy Santana, which was a weird crossover. In the past, he has also had beef with Vic Mensa, Erykah Badu, SZA, and a whole host of others. Akademiks has been mostly unapologetic about these feuds, and that will continue to be the case. However, this does open him up to scrutiny from the public. For instance, during a Figgmunity Live event in New York, Akademiks was pressed by an audience member, In footage from HipHopDX, you can see the whole thing go down.

Kanye West Claims He’s Not Anti-Semitic In Alleged Snippet: “I Just F*cked A Jewish B*tch”

Kanye West has been going through an interesting transformation lately. However, interesting doesn’t necessarily mean good. In fact, this transformation has been downright difficult to watch. This time last year, Ye was going on every single talk show he could and would espouse anti-semitism. It got so bad that Adidas had no choice but to drop him. Overall, there were a lot of people who dropped Ye out of their lives. That said, there are still a lot of people who are keeping him around.

For instance, Ty Dolla $ign continues to work with Kanye. They are working on a collaborative album together, and it still remains to be seen if it will ever be released. Fans are very excited for this project, and while it started being made in Italy, it is now in Saudi Arabia. Ye is making music in the desert and he has a very unique studio set up. Now, some snippets are starting to make their way to the internet. In the snippet down below, you can hear Ye address the anti-semitism concerns, albeit in the worst way possible.

“They say I’m anti-Semitic but I just f*cked a Jewish b*tch I just f*cked a Jewish b*tch,” Ye raps. These bars are extremely distasteful, especially when you consider everything that has taken place as of late. However, he does not seem to care. Instead, he is just doubling down on the attention-seeking. Only time will tell whether or not his new album even comes out at this point. He has scrapped plenty of albums in the past, and we’re sure he hasn’t done it for the last time.

Let us know what you think of the snippet, in the comments section below. Are you still rocking with Kanye, or are you done with him? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

Here in 2023, Taylor Swift has been truly inescapable, whether it was via her two new Taylor’s Version albums (Speak Now and 1989), her smash-hit The Eras Tour and accompanying theatrical concert film, or her getting to know Travis Kelce a whole lot better. Now, she’s popping up on albums she’s not even on.

Drake, who himself has also had a massive year, just dropped For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition today and he gives Swift a shout-out on Red Button. During the song’s opening verse, he raps, “Taylor Swift the only n**** that I ever rated / Only one could make me drop the album just a little later / Rest of y’all, I treat you like you never made it.”

The lyric is all praise for Swift, with Drake showing his respect for her impact and success by suggesting he’d push back an album release if she had a project coming out the same week, in order to avoid competition with her and give himself a better chance at chart success.

Meanwhile, just a few lines later, he also shares some less glowing thoughts about Kanye West: “Every time you need me for a boost, I never hesitated / Every time that Yeezy called a truce, he had my head inflated / Thinkin’ we gon’ finally peace it up and get to levitatin’ / Realize that everything premeditated.”

NYPD Reportedly Investigating Diddy In Connection With Sexual Assault Allegations

In a shocking turn of events, Sean “Diddy” Combs finds himself at the center of a criminal investigation by the New York Police Department (NYPD). Reports indicate that the case involves allegations of sexual assault. It is unclear who made the criminal complaint. This revelation follows the recent lawsuit filed by singer Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, against the renowned producer and rapper. The lawsuit alleges rape, physical abuse, and even human trafficking. Needless to say that this suit came to the surprise of many. However, Cassie has already been receiving tons of support and backings from her industry peers.

Moreover, according to law enforcement sources cited by TMZ, there is an ongoing investigation under the name “Sean Combs” within the NYPD. The case is marked as active, but its details have been classified as “locked,” indicating a high level of sensitivity with restricted access. Furthermore, Cassie’s lawsuit alleges disturbing incidents, including accusations that Diddy forced her into sexual encounters with male prostitutes across state lines. Diddy’s legal team has refuted these claims, dismissing them as baseless. The lawyer contends that many of Cassie’s allegations are barred from criminal prosecution due to statute of limitations constraints. However, the potential criminal pursuit of her rape claim in California remains uncertain.

Diddy, a prominent figure in the music and entertainment industry, has consistently denied all allegations made by Cassie. He has gone so far as to accuse her of attempting to extort a staggering $30 million from him. The legal battle between Diddy and Cassie is now expected to unfold in a contentious environment, with the NYPD’s involvement investigating a “Sean Combs” adding a layer of complexity to the already high-profile case. Diddy’s reputation, built over years of success and influence, now faces scrutiny in the wake of these serious allegations. And the unfolding developments are sure to captivate the attention of fans and observers alike. Stay tuned to HNHH for updates.

Drake Calls Out Kanye West For Fake Friendship On New Song “Red Button”

Keeping his promise to fans, Drake has unveiled the deluxe edition of his For All the Dogs: Scary Hours Edition. In the opening track, Drake gets right to it. The six additional songs are versatile and consist of something for everyone. The lead track “Red Button,” takes a bold shot at Kanye West. The lyrics dive into the intricacies of their relationship, which has been characterized by both friendship and tension, bordering on frenemy status. “Every time that Yeezy called a truce, he had my head inflated,” Drake raps. “Thinkin’ we gon’ finally peace it up and get to levitatin.’ Realize that everything premeditated. Everyone was good with me, then everyone expression faded. Tickin’ time bomb and they beggin’ me to detonate it If I press this red button. Dog, everybody Heaven Gated. Press this red button, dog, and everything forever changes.”

In a midnight drop on November 17, Drake used the platform to address what he perceives as Kanye’s insincere attempts to reconcile. The lyrics of “Red Button” highlight Drake’s skepticism, essentially accusing Kanye of being premeditated in his efforts to reconcile. This direct call-out from Drake sheds light on the complexities of his relationship with Kanye West, a dynamic that has played out publicly over the years. The mention of Yeezy attempting truces, only to leave Drake disillusioned, hints at a history of strained interactions.

Moreover, the reference to inflated egos and premeditated actions suggests a level of distrust, showcasing the depth of the rift between the two influential figures in the hip-hop world. The transparency in Drake’s lyrics provides a window into the two’s longstanding beef.

Drake And J. Cole Revel In Their ‘Evil Ways’ On Their New Collaboration

Drake and J. Cole are keeping the hype going for their upcoming It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? Tour. Tonight (November 17), Drake dropped an extended version of his eighth studio album, For All The Dogs called The Scary Hours Edition. This updated version of the album serves as the third installation of Drake’s Scary Hours EP series.

The new collection features “Evil Ways,” a pumped-up, energetic new collaboration between Cole and Drizzy. On the song, the two heavy hitters go bar-for-bar, reflecting on their respective journeys to the top of the rap game.

Drake opens the song, running through his impressive resume, reminding everyone that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

“I got some evil ways / Even through the glasses, you can see the gaze / To find your way up to the top, this shit gon’ be a maze / Vogue’s swaggin’, sh*t the way, I’m runnin’ Beatles’ place,” raps Drake.

Cole then reflects on his career, reiterating the fact that he didn’t have to play any Hollywood games to earn GOAT status.

“I conquered hell, I walked the villain, set my feet ablaze / My heart harder every year likе sneakers that Adidas made / I nеver did the VMAs, I’m not in need of praise,” raps Cole.

Last month, Drake dropped the Cole collaboration “First Person Shooter” from the standard edition of For All The Dogs. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Cole’s first-ever No. 1 on the chart.

BIBI And Becky G Pull Off A Seductive Heist In Their Action-Packed ‘Amigos’ Video

Worlds are colliding on this steamy new collaboration. Tonight (November 17), Latin music superstar Becky G has teamed up with K-Pop sensation BIBI for their new single, “Amigos.”

While the two each have men in their lives, they just can’t shake off their past lovers. But their former flames know the drill when their beaus come around.

“I know we had a good time and that you always want more / But if my boyfriend calls, we’re just friends, nothing more,” sing the ladies in Spanish on the song’s chorus, over a punchy, percussive track.

On the track, the hip-hop influence is evident. BIBI has previously discussed her love of hip-hop in an interview with AllKPop.

“Expressing oneself through lyrics is so real and genuine,” BIBI said. “As I’m someone who wasn’t necessarily gifted with natural musical talent — I didn’t even know the difference between boom bap or trap beats until way later. I think the other factors of music organically followed as I grew as an artist.”

In the song’s accompanying video, BIBI and Becky embark on a luxurious heist. The two pay a visit to a lush resort, where they attract the attention of several men. They are latter seen running off with jewelry and stacks off cash, later driving away in a vintage car.

BIBI is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Reneé Rapp And Coco Jones Offer Some Spiritual Solutions For Heartache On Their ‘Tummy Hurts’ Remix

After sharing her critically-acclaimed debut album Snow Angel this past August, Reneé Rapp has shared four new songs, as part of the album’s deluxe edition. One of the new songs is a remix of a fan-favorite album cut, featuring another starlet.

Joined by Coco Jones, Rapp finds herself hurting both emotionally and physically following the dissolution of a relationship.

“Now my tummy hurts, he’s in love with her / But for what it’s worth, they’d make beautiful babies / And raise them up to be a couple of f*cking monsters like their mother and their father,” sings Rapp on the chorus of both the remix and the song’s original version.

Jones chimes in on the second verse, giving the song a little more of a soul element. And given her choice of words, it sounds like some soul is what this man needs.

“Baby, go open a Bible / ‘Cause God knows that sin is a cycle / Lied to my face, it’s your hobby / Boy, you fine as hell for a psycho / When do they pay for the cost of their choice? / Never ’cause that’s just them boy being boys,” sings Jones.

In addition to being incredible vocalists, Rapp and Jones are also both talented actresses. Jones plays the fabulous, opulent Hilary Banks on Peacock’s Bel-Air, and Rapp plays the sassy but loveable Leighton Murray on The Sex Lives Of College Girls. In January, Rapp will make her feature film debut as Regina George in the movie-musical adaptation of Mean Girls.

You can listen to the “Tummy Hurts” remix above.
