Rihanna says that she originally planned not to reveal her second pregnancy during the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in February, but it was unavoidable. Speaking with Access Hollywood at the launch party for the Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty, Rihanna reflected on the iconic performance.
“Here’s the thing – I did what I had to do, right?” she said. “My jumper couldn’t zip up. No one knew I was pregnant, I just told my stylist to make sure it’s stretchy. So the under arm was stretchy and this was baggy but you know, the zip. It just stopped right there, so it had to be what it had to be!”

The choreographer for the show, Parris Goebel, previously discussed how Rihanna’s pregnancy factored into the process during an interview with Good Morning America just days after the game. Goebel said that they originally planned to have her in something baggy to hide the baby bump, but when she showed up, she was much farther along in the pregnancy than anyone realized. “She was going to maybe wear something baggy that didn’t really show and then leading up to the show we were just like, ‘Oh, she’s really showing,’” Goebel recalled. Kanye West appears to be offloading some real estate as he prepares for the release of Vultures. According to Hollywood Reporter, the rapper is selling his Malibu mansion at a loss – a reflection of its near-gutted interior – with the help of Selling Sunset star Jason Oppenheim. Ye’s beach home, which he bought 2 years ago for $57 million, is currently on the market for $53.7 million. Pritzker Prize-winning Japanese architect Tadao Ando designed the beach house which boasts views of the Pacific Ocean from every room.
However, it seems as though Ye removed a significant amount of the interior, which will now require some work. “What’s missing are the interiors,” Oppenheimer told HR. He revealed that it would require several millions of dollars to redesign the inside of the home. “It’s priced to reflect the need for the interior finishes to be replaced. On the positive, it can be brought up to 2024 standards — it was built about 10 years ago.” Fortunately, the concrete design from Ando is intact. The home boasts a sprawling 4,000 square feet and uses 1200 tons of concrete, and 200 tons of steel reinforcement, along with 12 large pylons burrowed 60 feet deep into the sand.
In other news, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign appear to have set a release date for their forthcoming album, Vultures. The album is due out on December 31st, although considering Kanye’s track record, that’s subject to change. Over the past few weeks, Ye has heavily hinted at the project’s release, culminating in a few listening parties. Although fans expected the project to drop on Friday (Dec. 15th), Kanye failed to deliver. This happened even after hosting another listening party on Friday that got shut down.
However, during the Miami Vultures rave, Ye brought out a slew of guests who appeared on the project. So far, we know that Offset, Lil Durk, Bump J, Freddie Gibbs, and his daughter, North West contributed to the album. He also previewed a new version of Kanye & Nicki Minaj’s “New Body.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like it will make the final cut. Regardless, it seems as though Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign aim to close out 2023 on a high.
Blueface is someone who is always going viral for one reason or another. Overall, a huge reason for this is the fact that he has a complicated relationship with the mothers of his children. Firstly, you have Chrisean Rock, who he is infamously not with anymore. Secondly, there is Jaidyn Alexis whom he is now engaged to. At this point, it is hard to truly keep up. Recently, he got into some trouble thanks to a concert in Utah in which a fan was invited on stage, only to get stomped. Now, there is an investigation ongoing, and it remains to be seen what will happen to the rapper. Furthermore, there was the whole situation with Soulja Boy, and even Offset. As it turns out, Blue is someone who loves these kinds of confrontations. In fact, there seems to be some sort of weird sexual component to all of this for him. At least that is how he explains it.
In the video above, Blueface speaks on how some men get scared when it comes to physical confrontations. However, he noted that when he fights a man, it actually makes him horny. Overall, this is a very bizarre admission. That said, Blue has always been a pretty shameless individual. Scar Lip: This year has been a mix of highs and lows, but it brought tremendous growth and invaluable life lessons. I’ve learned so much about myself and the industry.
What were some of the most memorable moments for you in 2023?
Meeting Busta Rhymes and receiving a diamond chain from him was unforgettable. Also, being in the studio with legends like Cardi B and Mary J Blige, and having Cardi B bring me out on stage in Dubai, were surreal experiences.
How did you establish connections with industry legends like Busta Rhymes, Cardi B, and Mary J Blige? Was it all organic?
Social media played a significant role, but I was also proactive. I reached out through DMs, Instagram Live, and even approached Snoop Dogg. Being a fan of Cardi B, I took the initiative to connect.

Why do you think it’s important to be public about your journey and story?
I want people to know that no matter where you come from or what you’ve been through, you can make it. Sharing my story is a way to inspire others and show them that overcoming challenges is possible.
How do you handle the overwhelming support and love you’ve received?
I’m incredibly grateful and cheerful about the support. Sometimes, I can’t believe how far I’ve come.
Any surprising moments where someone unexpected showed support? Definitely, Cardi B and Shaq reaching out were unexpected but amazing moments.

Look forward to new music, new opportunities, and more of me being myself and striving for greatness.
Do you have a favorite performance from this year?
The Vevo performance for “Artists to Watch” was special because it was my first live performance like that.

How would you describe your sound, and who is your target audience?
My sound is aggressive and high energy. I believe my audience includes both the youth and the older generation, especially those who relate to my background.
How do you connect with your fans, and why is that important to you?
Connecting with fans through live sessions keeps them engaged and builds a sense of connection. It’s crucial to maintain that relationship.
Any collaborations in the works for 2024?
Absolutely, collaborations are on the horizon. Get ready for some exciting projects.

Young Thug’s father, Jeffrey Williams Sr., says that Lil Baby needs to stop speaking on Gunna and the YSL trial because he has no idea what he’s talking about. Williams Sr. discussed the case during a new interview with Infamous Sylvia on YouTube.

Baby is among a host of other rappers who have dissed Gunna on social media since he took a plea deal in the case. Most recently, Baby appeared to throw shade at his former collaborator on the song, “350,” by rapping: “I know one day it’s gon’ hit me, bro ain’t never comin’ back / Ain’t never say nothin’ ’bout it, n***a, you know you a rat.”

Williams Sr.’s comments come after Judge Ural Glanville postponed the trial due to the stabbing of one of Thug’s other co-defendants. “Let me go ahead and tell you where we are,” Judge Glanville announced to the jury, earlier this month. “Remember yesterday we recessed because one of our participants had a medical issues and I was telling you about that? Well, unfortunately, that medical condition still exists. Given the length of time that we will probably address that, it might be just more prudent to recess you. An early recess. Instead of recessing you this Friday as the Court’s plan was originally, I’m gonna recess you for the holidays, today.” The trial will resume on January 2, 2024. Recently, Wayne and 2 Chainz were on Complex where they did the “GOAT Talk” series. In this show, artists speak on what they believe to be the GOAT in a wide range of domains. In the episode below, Wayne and 2 Chainz are asked about their favorite mixtapes of all time. When it came to 2 Chainz, he chose the DJ Drama-hosted tapes Trap Or Die, The Dedication, and his own project, T.R.U. Religion.However, Wayne had a very simple answer: 56 Nights by Future.
For those of you who may not know, 56 Nights is a mixtape that was made after DJ Esco was freed from a prison in the Middle East. After being imprisoned for weed, no one knew if Esco would ever come home. Not to mention, he lost a ton of music that was made with Future. It was an emotional time for Esco and Future, but they came out on the other side better than ever. In many ways, this is the mixtape that changed some of the general perceptions around Future. Overall, there are some amazing tracks here, including the title song, and “March Madness.”

Jaidyn Alexis and Blueface found themselves in a bit of a situation recently. Overall, the two were in Salt Lake City, Utah for a concert. This was supposed to be a normal show that highlighted Alexis and her music. Unfortunately, things turned sour when a woman threw ice on stage. Subsequently, Blueface invited her up on stage, where she was immediately pushed down and stomped on. In the footage posted online, it seemed as though Blue wanted Alexis to fight the fan for him.
Now, this has led to an actual investigation out in Salt Lake City. The police are saying that they are paying attention and are investigating an “out-of-state artist.” Whether or not this investigation leads to anything, remains to be seen. However, there is no doubt that Alexis and Blueface will have to be a lot more careful, moving forward. Having said all of that, Alexis has now taken to Twitter to break her silence on the matter. In her eyes, she and Blue haven’t done anything wrong.

T-Pain had a nice 2023, headlined by his new covers album, On Top Of The Covers. Now his 2024 is starting to take shape: Resorts World and Zouk Group announced yesterday (December 19) that T-Pain will headline a new residency at Zouk Nightclub and Ayu Dayclub.
Based on the dates announced so far, it appears T-Pain’s appearances will be relatively infrequent and spread out, at least compared so some other Vegas residencies: He currently has one show each scheduled for February, April, May, and July.
T-Pain said in a statement (as KSNV News 3 Las Vegas notes), “2024 is going to be a great year. I’ve been fortunate to have an amazing career and I’ve always dreamed of having a residency of my own. I’ve got some special surprises up my sleeve, so Vegas: let’s turn up!”
Joe Lopez, vice president of Zouk Group Las Vegas, also noted, “We are excited to start the year on such a high note by bringing an artist of T-Pain’s caliber to our venues.”

It turns out that wasn’t initially part of the plan, though: Her baby bump just got too big and she couldn’t hide it anymore.
On the red carpet of her new Puma launch on Monday (December 18), Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans asked Rihanna about her halftime look and she explained, “Here’s the thing: I did what I had to do, right? Rihanna gave birth to the baby, her and ASAP Rocky’s second, a few months later, in August. The birth certificate surfaced in September, and the document revealed that Rihanna and Rocky named the baby Riot Rose Mayers, and that Riot was born on August 1 at 7:41 a.m. in Los Angeles’ Cedar Sinai Hospital.
We were blessed with several highly anticipated albums this year but Future and Metro Boomin are still holding out on their upcoming joint effort. Over the past few months, Metro Boomin has been heavily teasing the forthcoming project without sharing any concrete dates. However, it’s looking like he has a 2024 release date in mind. The St. Louis producer hit social media this week with a photo alongside his “Mask Off” collaborator, captioning the post, “COMING SOON [three eagle emojis].”
Fans have been hopeful to see this album considering their general track record together. Metro played major roles on projects like Monster and DS2 while also contributing to Future’s later albums. Recently, the two collided on “All The Way Live (Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse)” ft. Lil Uzi Vert from Metro Boomin’s soundtrack for the latest Spider-Man movie. Prior to that, Future made his presence felt heavily on “Superhero,” with Chris Brown, “I Can’t Save You (Interlude) ft. Don Toliver, “Lock on Me” with Travis Scott from Heroes & Villains.
Metro’s latest comments arrive shortly after he and Drake seemingly took shots at each other. It began when Metro appeared to diss Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss, an album he produced on, because he continued to win at major award shows. “Yet her loss still keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V. proof that award shows are just politics and not for me,” Metro said in a since-deleted tweet. “Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to peoples everyday lives.”
Drake appeared to respond over the weekend during a livestream. As he held a cheers on camera, he took shots at unnamed “tweet-and-deleters,” which many presumed to be about Metro Boomin, including the producer himself. In response, Metro shared a clip from sketch comedy group RDC World, showcasing four men who donned in country club attire and sporting straight wigs. In the clip, amidst laughter, one of the men humorously advises, “Hold on, Jamal. Don’t pull out the nine.” Hopefully, the rift between Drake and Metro Boomin has no impact on the latter’s upcoming project with Future.
