103 Soccer Fans Charged With Murder And Gang Activity In Greece After Stadium Riot

A staggering 103 people have been issued blanket charges of murder, assault, and illegal possession of explosive material in Greece. The charges come after a Champions League soccer match was canceled due to the murder of a fan. The match between AEK Athens and Dinamo Zagreb was suspended hours before kick-off after a riot reportedly instigated by fans of the Croatian team left a 29-year-old Greek fan dead. Video of the riot showed fans wielding bats and iron bars outside OPAP Arena in Athens. Explosive devices such as petrol bombs were also detonated as part of the riot.

Many of the suspects, 97 of whom are Croatian nationals, hid their faces with their shirts as they appeared in front of the magistrate. It is likely that most will have the murder charge dropped as the investigation continues. Meanwhile, Greek authorities announced a further six arrests. All six individuals, all Croatian nationals, were caught trying to flee the county. Five were detained attempting to board a ferry to Italy. Another was caught trying to escape via bus to Albania.

A tribute outside OPAP Arena was soon established for Michalis Katsouris, who was stabbed to death outside the stadium. Meanwhile, Greek Public Order Minister Giannis Oikonomou said the police had made “tragic errors” in handling fans from Croatia traveling to the game. Ignoring calls to resign, Oikonomou suspended several senior law enforcement officers pending investigation. Meanwhile, the city braces itself as it prepares to host the UEFA Super Cup Final next week. The match will feature Manchester City and Sevilla.

Elsewhere, AEK Athens called for “immediate and severe punishment” against their Croatian opponents. Furthermore, the Greek side expressed disappointment that the fixture was set to go ahead in Zagreb later this month. “The question that torments our fans is one that we described from the outset and that also torments us: How is it possible that following the brutal murder of Michalis by a gang of vicious criminals from Croatia, for AEK Athens to enter the field and play against this team?” AEK said. “Will any of his killers be in the stands?” However, a joint statement from the mayors of Athens and Zagreb called for calm and civility.

17-Year-Old Charged With A Hate Crime After Stabbing Beyonce Fan To Death

At the end of July, professional choreographer and dancer O’Shae Sibley was stabbed to death at a gas station. According to reports, Sibley and his friends were heading back home to Brooklyn, playing Beyonce’s Renaissance in their vehicle, when a group of men demanded that they stop. The stabbing took place following a dispute surrounding Sibley’s dancing at the time. The verbal altercation quickly escalated, and later turned physical. Footage of the incident reveals that the men demanding that Sibley stop dancing had been shouting homophobic and racist remarks at Sibley and his friends.

Eventually, one 17-year-old who has not been named by police stabbed Sibley, “damaging his heart.” Witnesses claim that he then got into a vehicle and drove away. It has now been reported that the 17-year-old responsible for the death of Sibley has been charged second degree murder as a hate crime. He’s additionally been charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Shortly after reports of the Beyonce fan’s death and subsequent statements from his loved ones, people began to deem the attack as homophobic.

O’Shae Sibley’s Murder Deemed A Hate Crime

Otis Pena, a friend of Sibley’s, spoke on the attack shortly after news broke. “They murdered him because he’s gay, because he stood up for his friends,” he explained. “His name was O’Shae and you all killed him. O’Shae was just a beacon of light that just influenced everybody. We may be gay, but we exist. We’re not going to live in fear. We’re not going to live hiding.”

The tragedy sparked an outpouring of support from other Beyonce fans, as well as Beyonce herself. Earlier this month, Beyonce paid her respects to the fallen member of the Beyhive, posting a tribute to him on her website. “Rest in power O’Shae Sibley,” her statement reads. Though the pain this has caused to Sibley’s loved ones cannot be undone, hopefully his murderer being put to justice can help them find some closure.

Adin Ross Checks Charleston White Over King Von Criticism: “Von Was A Great Rapper”

Adin Ross confronted Charleston White over his criticism of King Von during a recent discussion on social media. The streamer argued that Von was a “great rapper” while White brought up his life of crime.

“I don’t like what you said about King Von. In my opinion, King Von was a great rapper, made great music, you know. RIP to King Von,” Ross said during the stream. From there, White brought up “all the victims” that the FBI says he killed. “What about those victims, their families?” White asked. Ross and White then went back and forth as to whether Von is more well known for his rapping or murder charges.

It’s far from the only headline-catching moment during Ross and White’s chat. At another point during the stream, White dissed Bronny James. The son of NBA legend LeBron James had recently gone into cardiac arrest. “My heart problem, brother. Let’s stick to Bronny, let’s not look at nothing else. Let’s look at Bronny, bro.” White said at one point. Ross responded: “He’s gonna come back and be good, bro. He’s gonna be good. I know, bro. You have to just trust. I have hope. I know he’s gonna be good. All I want you to say is this, bro. Listen, listen, I know you’re being very ignorant right now. You’re being very ignorant. All right, I’m not gonna let you even speak on that, bro, because it’s such a sensitive topic. I know him personally, man.”

Police Find Bullets At Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ House Amid 2Pac’s Murder Investigation: Report

Las Vegas police reportedly recovered several .40 caliber bullets while executing a search warrant on Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ home in Henderson, Nevada, last week. The search was conducted for a renewed investigation into the murder of 2Pac in 1996. Davis is the uncle of ‘Pac’s alleged killer Orlando Anderson.

According to the Daily Mirror, a Vegas police source says the bullets will undergo forensic testing “to determine if they have any link to the bullets found in 2Pac’s body or on the scene of the homicide.” Detectives have kept clothing and bullets from the scene of the infamous shooting for over 25 years.

“Microfibers or residues from the weapon or the bullet could prove to be a link,” the source added. “There is no information yet on the history of the bullets, how old they are, or their significance. And it will take some time to assess how the bullets play a role in this case.”

The source went on to confirm that police executed the search warrant because “investigators feel they can assemble enough information that could lead to an arrest or indictment.” Despite the possibility, they admitted, “it is a long shot that the bullets will be the ones from 1996.” In addition to the bullets, police seized computers, hard drives, and various photos from the 1990s of possible suspects from Keefe D’s home. Investigators will eventually present their findings to a Las Vegas grand jury to determine whether to pursue an indictment.

As for Anderson’s role in Pac’s death, the accused killer was himself murdered just two years later in 1998. On the night of Pac’s death, Anderson famously got into a fight with him in the lobby of the MGM Grand following the Bruce Seldon vs. Mike Tyson boxing fight. Pac was shot and killed later that night.

Ice-T Issues Warning For The Next Generation Of Rappers

Ice-T saw his rap career flourish during the era of Biggie and Tupac, amongst others. Watching them get gunned down and others get strung out on drug abuse gives him enough perspective to offer a stark warning to the new rappers in the game. While he helped create the gangsta rap era, he spoke on the dangers of the profession to People Magazine at ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans over the weekend.

“I think people from my generation are really upset with what’s going on with the youngsters because every week somebody’s going to jail,” Ice-T said in an interview that also had fellow rap OG KRS-One. “People are dying of drugs, killing each other.” With recent tragic losses, such as XXXTENTACION, Nipsey Hussle, and Takeoff, drug abuse and gun violence is more rampant than ever in rap. “My generation, we lost Tupac, we lost Biggie, and we got the memo,” Ice-T continues. “Everybody calmed down. We all figured this out: We [were] rapping to get out of the streets.”

Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. were murdered back in the late 90s, and Ice-T knows how valuable life is. So he wants to make sure the people in the rap industry nowadays are protecting themselves. “[The] youngsters who are out here behaving like that, these kids are millionaires,” he told People. “So I don’t know how many young people gotta get lost, I don’t know which one might trigger that message, but I think it’s time for this generation to get a hold of itself.”

It’s been a minute since Ice-T rapped. He is one of the mainstays on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and is going on plenty of podcasts. His rap career was spectacular, spanning two decades for solo albums. He does collaboration albums every now and then, the most recent one being Uncut with Afrika Islam in 2021. YNW Melly’s Spotify Monthly Listeners Keep Increasing Amid Trial

Since it’s one of the most high-profile crime stories in hip-hop right now, it’s natural for the YNW Melly case to bring him some significant attention. Previously, we reported some remarkable increases in streams amid the Florida MC’s trial for double murder. Within just a week of his court proceedings beginning, his Spotify monthly listeners went up by almost 800K, whether those are all new listeners or old ones revisiting him. Moreover, it’s hard to divide what percentage of these listeners are listening to him more than once, if they listened to him last month, and so on. What we do know is that Melly has a lot of eyes and ears on him right now as his case develops.

Furthermore, the most recent reports on his Spotify listener base reflect similar numbers that are unlikely to decrease anytime soon. The 24-year-old’s monthly listeners saw another increase of 5.4% from last week to this one. Once at 11,296,243, now YNW Melly has 11,906,390 accounts tuning in every month. That means that more than 600,000 people presumably joined in on his discography.

YNW Melly Gains More Monthly Listeners On Spotify

Still, when it comes to the trial itself, we have a bit of a break right now when it comes to its developments and discoveries. The court is currently adjourned in the YNW Melly case, returning to session on Monday, July 10 after about a week of pause. Regardless of this gap, there are still plenty of moments, big or small, to analyze surrounding the “Mixed Personalities” artist’s fate. For example, one of the most curious recent happenings in court was the reference to various rappers, pictures of whom were presented by prosecutors as evidence for unclear reasons.

Meanwhile, another recent development occurred when a detective spoke on whether the shooting Melly’s accused of was a drive-by. Apparently, the rapper tried to stage one, and the detective fought back against that attempt. However, investigators did not find his DNA in the vehicle he allegedly shot his victims in. As such, it remains a murky aspect of the trial. For more news and the latest updates on YNW Melly, log back into HNHH.

YSL Rapper FN DaDealer Arrested On Murder Charges: Report

YSL rapper FN DaDealer, real name Jakobe Moody, was reportedly arrested for alleged murder this week. Moreover, the report comes from 11Alive News, who obtained court documents detailing the arrest for the killing, which took the life of 28-year-old father of two, Tremaine Glasper. He is survived by the rest of the members of his family and his two young daughters. Furthermore, Moody (who is 20 years old) is accused of provoking a shooting on June 5 at the Columbia At Mechanicsville Crossing apartment complex. Police had three suspects potentially responsible for the murder, and the search for the other two is apparently still underway.

Of course, this unfortunate development adds to the mountain of legal issues that the record label’s members face. The most obvious of these is the ongoing RICO case against several members, including its founder Young Thug. As far as his side, his defense team motioned to block a police officer from the witness stand in court. Apparently, they believe that this official would have provided false information irrelevant to the case, mainly the claim that Thug cooperated with authorities regarding information on a homicide case.

Regardless, the case is still looking for jurors and has been in relative limbo for months, if not a year. What’s more is that its most recently delay came about because of defense attorney Eric Johnson. Police took custody of his laptop, on which they believe he allowed his client, YSL’s Christian Eppinger, to contact other members of the collective who weren’t caught up in the indictment. Until the court resolves his (for which a hearing will take place on July 12), the YSL trial is postponed.

Meanwhile, this news comes against the backdrop of Young Thug’s new album, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. While many celebrated his return to music despite the circumstances, it seems like the moment became bittersweet. Given the initial nature of these reports, it’s unclear whether this arrest will tie into the RICO case. Still, stick around on HNHH for more on YSL and FN DaDealer, who joined the label at 18.
