Angela White, AKA Blac Chyna, Takes On New Acting Role

Angela White has posted on Instagram to announce her casting in a new acting role. The socialite and actress recently changed her name. She was formerly known as Blac Chyna, a name that many will recognize through her own endeavors in the industry and her connections to other big names like Nicki Minaj and the Kardashians. She now goes by her government name. The change came as part of a slew of others that White has made in her life recently. In addition to dropping the Blac Chyna moniker, she has also begun working to undo the unnatural appearance she had due to cosmetic procedures.

Angela White is a well-known model, entrepreneur, and social media personality who initially gained fame as a stripper. She gained fame from her high-profile relationships with rapper Tyga and reality TV star Rob Kardashian. White has modeled for various brands and has even launched her own beauty products and a line of sex toys. She has also made appearances on several reality TV shows including her own, The Real Blac Chyna. It seems that she is now ready to leave much of that behind as she moves on with her life. White will no longer be taking part in OnlyFans and stripping, once major players in her stardom. She cites a longing to be a good role model for her children as the reason for the lifestyle changes.

Angela White’s Official Debut

In a new Instagram post, Angela White announces that she would taking part in a touring stage version of the 1997 film B*A*P*S. White will be playing the part that Halle Berry originated in the film. “Wow God is so good and everything that I’ve ever envisioned is finally all happening!” she said in her post. “I’m so excited to announce that I will be playing ‘NiSi’ the role that @halleberry played in 1997.” The tour begins on Mother’s Day Weekend, with stops in Detroit, LA, and Atlanta. White says that the tour will resume later this year.

She previously vowed to better herself, stating that “Blac Chyna” does not define Angela White. However, few changes were made until recently. With everything that White has been in the headlines for recently, it really seems like the socialite actress is in a good place in her life. What do you think of the changes that Angela White has made? Are they all for show or is she really changing for the better? Let us know in the comments!

Jack Harlow Has Landed Another Movie Role With Matt Damon And Casey Affleck

Jack Harlow landed another movie role before his debut movie, White Men Can’t Jump, has even been released. According to Deadline, the Louisville rapper turned actor will be appearing in the Apple Original Film ‘The Instigators’ alongside Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. The film, written by Affleck with Chuck MacLean and directed by Doug Liman, will also feature a murderer’s row of film talent including Alfred Molina, Hong Chau, Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Ron Perlman, and Ving Rhames. The plot will follow a pair of thieves on the run after a botched robbery (those Afflecks love their heist films, eh?).

Harlow may be a relative novice to acting, but he’s gotten some great looks so far. He’s also shown an ability to turn on the charm in smaller doses; he’s acted ads for Doritos and New Balance, as well as taking on a few funny spots during his stint as a Saturday Night Live host. Jack and Bowen Yang drew great reviews in their unhinged “Bartenders” sketch, so provided his upcoming roles don’t demand a lot of heavy acting, the screen rookie should do okay.

We’ll find out just how talented he is — at acting and at basketball — when White Men Can’t Jump comes to Hulu on May 19.

Quavo And Chloe Bailey Fuel Dating Rumors At “Praise This” Premiere

With the release of Peacock’s original film Praise This just days away, the cast was treated to a red-carpet premiere. This included the film’s stars, Chloe Bailey and Quavo. Praise This follows Bailey as Sam, a wannabe superstar who joins an Atlanta-based competitive gospel choir ahead of a national competition. Praise This is the latest from Tina Gordon, the director behind films such as Peoples and Little. Gordon also wrote a similar film about an underdog team in a national competition, 2002’s Drumline. Praise This will release exclusively on Peacock on April 7.

At the premiere, Bailey posed with Quavo, who plays a character called Ty. Quavo’s appearance in the film reflects a shift towards acting for the former Migos member. Last year, Quavo appeared in the thriller Strange Salvation and has been linked to upcoming projects Takeover and Cash Out. Prior to his role in Strange Salvation, Quavo’s only film and TV credits were cameos in shows such as Atlanta. It is the latest role in a run of major projects for Bailey. She is also set to appear in the horror film The Georgetown Project, and star as the lead in the biopic Midas Touch.

Quavo x Chloe On The Red Carpet

Their work on Praise This, amongst other appearances, has led to numerous rumors that the pair are currently dating. While Bailey has denied these rumors, many fans remain unconvinced. This has led to further claims of a secret romance. These rumors are likely to be fanned further still if their characters in Praise This share some sort of romantic subplot. Trailers for the film seem to indicate that this is the case.

Dating rumors aside, Praise This will serve as a chance for both Bailey and Quavo to flex their acting muscles. It will also enable them to perform in more comedic roles. This is a contrast to the much more serious roles they have previously performed. Furthermore, with the likes of Bailey and Quavo involved, it seems to be a sure bet that if nothing else, Praise This is going to have some exceptional vocal performances.

Samuel L. Jackson’s Greatest Acting Roles

Samuel L. Jackson remains one of the most prolific actors of our generation. His films have grossed over $27 billion worldwide, making him the second highest-grossing actor of all time. He’s second only to Stan Lee, the mastermind behind much of the Marvel Series. In fact, Jackson has gone on to play a significant role in much of the Marvel franchise as Nick Fury. Throughout his career, he’s displayed an innate ability to thrive in various roles, ranging from voiceovers to leads. Additionally, he’s worked as a producer for a variety of franchises. Jackson has also appeared in over 100 films in his decades-long career, garnering a reputation as one of the hardest workers in the industry. Today, we’re looking at Samuel L. Jackson’s most iconic performances to date.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Pulp Fiction solidified Jackson as a household name. The Quentin Tarantino classic displayed Jackson’s effortless charisma under the name of Jules Winnfield. The oddball character balanced gangsterism with spiritual enlightenment, displaying an unpredictable aura throughout the film. Teamed up with fellow actor John Travolta, Pulp Fiction acted as a launch pad for rest of Jackson’s career.

Jackson was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards for his performance. Many still reference Winnfield as the best character Jackson has played to date. While he had performed in a variety of blockbuster films before Pulp Fiction, the film cemented his ability to entertain in a lead role. Further, the movie proved that Tarantino was more than a one-hit-wonder.

Django Unchained (2012)

Tarantino has a reputation for sticking with a select-few list of actors, from Christopher Waltz to Leonardo Dicaprio. Samuel L. Jackson was added to the elite group after Pulp Fiction. He would eventually land roles in Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight. Initially wanting to audition for the part of Django, Tarantino frankly rejected the idea. The filmmaker hilariously stated that Jackson was “too old.” Jackson was offered the part of the hateful Stephen.

In tackling the role of Stephen, Jackson also pulled off one of the most complex villains he’s portrayed. His enslaved character completely bought into the racist ideology in the American South. Partnering with plantation owner Calvin Candie ( Leonardo Dicaprio), the two also acted as the main protagonists in the film. Stephen symbolized a multi-faceted view at interpersonal relationships during slavery. In fact, I believe he was likely the most intelligent character in Django Unchained.

Coach Carter (2005)

Playing the title role of Coach Ken Carter, the 2005 teen sports drama was based on a true story. Coach Carter suspended his Richmond High School basketball team for failing in academics. While his actions would become the source of controversy and discourse between himself the players’ parents, his methods would eventually be appreciated by the entire community.

Carter would also become a source of discipline and inspiration for the players. Many would go from overly confident class clowns to scholarship earners at large-scale universities. Jackson’s portrayal of Coach Carter fits well into his best qualities on television: commanding, confident, and emotive.

Star Wars Prequel Trilogy

Mace Windu was too iconic of a character to leave off of this list. Jackson was initially offered a role in The Phantom Menace after stating in an interview that he would like to work with George Lucas. Windu would become a staple character throughout the prequel trilogy, acting as a voice of reason in the Jedi Council. Extremely suspicious of Anakin Skywalker, he was proved right when Skywalker would betray him in The Revenge of the Sith. However, some argue that Windu’s distance from Anakin would ensure his eventual formation into Darth Vader.

Amidst the Disney-spearheaded re-invigoration of Star Wars, Jackson confirmed that he’s asked a Star Wars director about the potential for Windu to return. Many Star Wars fans have questioned whether his character really died in The Revenge of the Sith. However, there haven’t been any concrete developments that hint at a return. Similar to many of Jackson’s other characters, Windu is also grim and direct in his approach.

Jungle Fever (1991)

One of many times where Samuel Jackson and Spike Lee came together, Jungle Fever, may be Jackson’s best performance. In fact, his performance was so good that the Cannes Film Festival created a Best Supporting Actor role specifically for him. Portraying Gator Purify, the drug addicted brother of Flipper (Wesley Snipes), Jackson used his own struggles with addiction as reference for his character.

Working with Snipes, the two portrayed a complex relationship between brothers. The film further explores the dynamic of an interracial affair, with the conflict escalating in Gator being murdered. It’s an ultimately heartbreaking film, displaying Jackson’s versatility to display a character that is either powerful and confident, or decrepit and broken.

Tyrese Confirms Steamy “2 Fast 2 Furious” Set Detail

Tyrese is a beloved pillar of the Fast and Furious franchise. He first appeared in 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious and became a franchise staple from 2011’s Fast Five onwards. While there has never been any evidence that Tyrese had beef with late co-star Paul Walker, Walker has been a part of the franchise he has been unable to shake. In late March, Tyrese’s on-and-off girlfriend Zelie Timothy revealed that she was more into Paul Walker when they first met.

But now it seems that it is Tyrese’s turn to drop some bombshells about Walker, who passed away in 2013. Like Timothy, Tyrese had something of a relationship-related anecdote to share when he appeared on The Morning Hustle. However, Tyrese’s story is much more salacious and revealed that he shared an unusual bond with Walker, while also confirming a near-decade-old claim.

“We Were Smashing The Same Girl” Tyrese Claims

During his conversation on The Morning Hustle, Tyrese revealed that during the filming of 2 Fast 2 Furious, he and Paul Walker were sleeping with the same woman. The woman in question was Eve Mendes’ stunt double, Cindy Leon. “She’s a beautiful girl,” he said, “and me and Paul were smashing the same girl on the set of 2 Fast 2 Furious and didn’t even know it”. Tyrese also referred to a 2015 interview that Leon gave in which she confirmed that she had slept with both actors. According to Leon, Tyrese was “sexy and freaky” while Walker was “sweet and loving”.

According to Tyrese, he eventually told Walker that they were both sleeping with Leon. “And then we told each other. He was like, ‘Yeah?’ I was like, ‘Yeah…”. The actor and musician also noted that even after finding out, neither of them stopped sleeping with Leon. However, he was critical of Leon’s 2015 interview, calling out her “goofy ass” for “letting the whole world know”. The amusing set story did not seem to affect the relationship between the co-stars. Tyrese would appear alongside Walker in Fast Five as well as the 2018 documentary I Am Paul Walker. However, the interview did confirm a long-standing claim about a deeper connection between the two co-stars.

Halsey And Moses Sumney Are Among The Cast For Ti West’s ’80s-Inspired ‘Maxxxine’ Film

Halsey and Moses Sumney are two musicians who are among the newly-announced cast for Ti West’s Maxxxine — which will star Mia Goth as the title character, as a continuation of the X and Pearl realm.

Goth, who will be reprising her Maxine character from X, will now be trying “to make it as an actress in 1980s Los Angeles,” according to Deadline. (Pearl had been a prequel from the perspective of the old murderous lady in X, which Goth also played.)

A24 dropped the first teaser announcement for the film today on social media. “Hollywood, here she comes,” the caption reads. It is set to start filming later this month.

Both Sumney and Halsey have dabbled in the acting realm previously. Sumney is set to appear in HBO’s upcoming series, The Idol, and was included in Creed. Meanwhile, Halsey starred in Americana, a film that recently had its premiere at SXSW.

While their exact roles in Maxxxine are currently still under wraps, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon are also in the cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Esposito is playing an adult film agent, Debicki is a director, and Monaghan and Cannavale work for the LAPD. Bacon is playing a private detective.

Halsey had also been hinting at their casting for a few months now, after captioning an Instagram post from February, “viXXXen for Valentine’s” — seemingly referencing the style of Maxxxine.

“TLC Forever” Trailer Showcases Groups Incredible Rise To Fame

TLC remains one of the highest-regarded female singing groups of all time, and they’re just getting started. The Atlanta-based trio burst onto the scene over thirty years ago and has been a force ever since. After four Grammy awards, and over 90 million records sold worldwide, the ladies have still endured many trials and tribulations. Surviving bankruptcy and losing its third member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in 2002 did not break Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins. Now, the ladies are documenting their illustrious journeys with a new documentary.

The two-part doc has been in the works for a while, but on Monday, fans got the first look. A collaborative effort between Lifetime and A&E Networks, TLC Forever is an in-depth look into their rise to fame. Other superstars such as Questlove and collaborator Missy Elliot appear in the film, detailing the group’s success from a fellow creator’s lens. The documentary is not short of nostalgia, offering archival footage from their decades in the spotlight.

TLC Will Detail Their Iconic Careers

“No matter what we went through, we never questioned the love,” Chilli is heard saying in the 90-second trailer. TLC Forever will also follow the women on their current endeavors. Now in their 50’s, they are showing no sign of slowing down. In fact, the  Matthew Kay-directed film will highlight the preparation of their Hot Summer Nights Tour alongside early 2000s superstar, Shaggy. This moment is especially monumental because it marks the first time the ladies had been on the road since 2021’s CrazySexyCool tour.

Both T-Boz and Chilli served as executive producers on the television special. Fellow executive producers include Roger Ross Williams and Geoff Martz for One Story Up and Bill Diggins for Diggit Entertainment Group. Lauren Fulton, also with One Story Up, will handle production duties. From A&E Networks, Elaine Frontain Bryant and Brad Abramson will also lend their talents to EP roles. Ahead of their highly anticipated show, T-Boz and Chilli graced the cover of Variety. Alongside them were fellow R&B stars Keyshia Cole and Mary J. Blige. Each of the ladies are being recognized by the publication for forthcoming Lifetime projects. Sharing the cover on her Instagram, Chilli congratulated her fellow front cover stars on their similar accomplishments. Fans can catch “TLC Forever” when it debuts on A&E Networks and Lifetime June 3rd at 8 P.M.

N.O.R.E. Posted Up With Tobey Maguire, Tyga, The Game

In what might be one of the most random link-ups ever, N.O.R.E. recently shared pictures of himself posted up with Tobey Maguire, Tyga, and The Game. While the picture might seem very odd, it’s just one in a long series of unexpected link ups that N.O.R.E. has posted online. The rapper also hosts a podcast called Drink Champs, which often leads him to post pictures with celebrities and other influential figures. Whether or not that was the reason for the picture with Maguire, Tyga, and The Game is not clear.

Rapper N.O.R.E., also known as Noreaga, hails from Queens, New York. He first attained widespread notoriety in the late 90s as a member of the duo Capone-N-Noreaga. He is renowned for his aggressive rapping technique and frequently incorporates gritty street narratives into his music. Nas, Jay-Z, and Busta Rhymes are just a few of the musicians that N.O.R.E. has worked over the years. He is still regarded highly in the hip-hop scene. As an artist, N.O.R.E. has always been willing to experiment with his sound, incorporating elements of rock, reggae, and Latin music into his work.

N.O.R.E.’s Controversial Connections

N.O.R.E. is no stranger to controversy, but he’s gotten himself into hot water with his own fans recently. First, he was criticized for extending a podcast invite to disgraced social media personality and former kickboxer, Andrew Tate. Following the backlash, N.O.R.E. said that the invitation was a joke. N.O.R.E. then posted a picture on his Twitter with right-wing Fox News host, Tucker Carlson. His followers weren’t having it. “Weakest links. This man is a white supremacist and hear you with your big *ss fake teeth shucking and jiving in his face…for what?” one follower tweeted angrily. “Y’all stand for not a f*cking thing and it’s pathetic.”

N.O.R.E. is unfazed by the negative comments, even though many have expressed anger and disappointment. The rapper continued to post on his Twitter, trolling some of the negative commenters and shrugging off the concerns they had about him hanging out with someone they perceive to be a white supremacist. “Nope lol I’m still neutral I made the war report,” N.O.R.E. tweeted. What do you think of his association with far-right figures like Carlson? Let us know in the comments.

Ryan Gosling Roasted Over “Barbie” Trailer: “He Looks Like Grandpa Ken”

After months of anticipation, Greta Gerwig has finally unveiled the second teaser trailer for her upcoming Barbie movie. We’ve previously seen photos of stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling rollerblading around California in their neon spandex, but now, movie lovers are getting a better idea of what to expect from the upcoming comedy. It appears the famous blonde doll and her handsome beau, Ken, will cross dimensions from their home to the “real world” on the big screen, though she remains unaware of his presence until they’ve already crossed over.

“I’m coming with ya,” the Canadian actor, in character as the blond stud declares. “Did you bring your rollerblades?” an exasperated Barbie asks, seemingly expecting to be disappointed. “I literally go nowhere without them!” Ken excitedly confirms. Elsewhere in the under-two-minute-long teaser, we also see Gosling face off against Simu Liu, who previously admitted to painfully waxing his entire body for the part. On top of that, fans will also witness the acting debut of pop sensation Dua Lipa, who plays a mermaid.

Greta Gerwig’s Barbie Teaser #2 Has Arrived

Since the preview arrived on Tuesday (April 4) morning, social media has been sharing plenty of thoughts, many of them about the La La Land actor specifically. “Me in the theatre watching ‘Barbie’ every time Ryan Gosling’s Ken says anything,” one troll wrote alongside a video of The Office cast snickering during a blooper on set. “He looks like Grandpa Ken,” another person chimed in. When the film’s casting was first announced there was some online discourse regarding the 42-year-old’s age, and if he was the best choice for the part.

“The Ken’s are just not Kenning for me, I’m sorry,” someone else tweeted. “But I’ll be seated regardless.” No matter what people think of the male lead, they’re certainly pleased with Robbie’s casting as the beloved blonde beauty. Check out Barbie‘s second teaser trailer on YouTube above, and keep scrolling to see Twitter’s reaction to the Ryan Gosling renaissance. Afterward, let us know if you’ll be tuning into the upcoming film later this spring in the comments.

“Shrek 5” Confirmed, Original Stars Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, And Mike Myers In Talks To Reprise Beloved Roles

It’s been over ten years since the last instalment in the Shrek franchise, Shrek Forever After, landed in theatres. However, now, executives at DreamWorks have decided that it’s finally the perfect time to bring back the world’s favourite ogre, hopefully restoring him to his former glory. In an interview with Variety, Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri shared the big news, even hinting that we may hear the return of some beloved original voice actors in the forthcoming project.

“Talks are starting now, and every indication that we’ve gotten is there’s tremendous enthusiasm on behalf of the actors to return,” he told the outlet. The entertainers in question are Mike Myers, who voiced Shrek, as well as his bride, Princess Fiona (taken on by Cameron Diaz). Of course, the case wouldn’t be complete without Eddie Murphy, who brings the beloved Donkey to life in the first four Shrek films. “We anticipate the cast coming back,” Meledandri noted, though he made it clear that no one has officially signed on the dotted line as of right now.

Shrek 5 is “In Development” at Dreamworks

While chatting with Variety, the industry executive expressed his joy over reading about Murphy’s interest in DreamWorks producing an entire series of films based solely on his character. “If [they] ever came with another Shrek, I’d do it in two seconds,” the Haunted Mansion actor previously confirmed. “I love Donkey. They did Puss In Boots movies. I was like, ‘They should have done a Donkey movie.’” By his standards, Eddie thinks that his four-legged critter is far funnier than Antonio Banderas’.

As for the other former cast members, Diaz announced her retirement from the acting industry in 2018. However, she recently stepped back into the spotlight for an upcoming project called Back in Action, which also stars Kyle Chandler, Jamie Foxx, and Glenn Close. According to DailyMail, the Netflix Original is expected to drop in 2024. Finally, regarding Myers, the Canadian has also been in talks to reprise his classic role as Austin Powers as of late, though it remains unclear if we’ll see that come to fruition. Are you excited about Shrek 5? Let us know in the comments, and revisit the original 2001 film’s trailer below.
