Missy Elliott & Jack Harlow Team Up For Doritos Super Bowl Ad Teaser

‘Tis the season for all those Super Bowl commercials, and this one stars Missy Elliott and Jack Harlow. The big game is just weeks away and as it approaches, expect to see more stars showing face in advertisements. Doritos called on Missy and Harlow for their teaser, and it already has people talking.

The clip suggests there is an even bigger commercial to follow. Missy is seen answering the phone before revealing she was speaking with Harlow. “What’s up? Collab? You know I’ve been waiting to collab,” said the icon.

She then added, “A love triangle? I don’t know about that.”

The teaser cuts to a message that reads “2.12.23,” so we’ll have to wait to see what this two have cooked up. Harlow doesn’t appear in the ad, but we’re sure he’ll show face soon.

Meanwhile, everyone has been speculating about what to expect at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. Rihanna will take to the stage to revisit some of her greatest hits, but rumors about her guest appearances—if any—have taken over social media.

Rihanna hasn’t said much about her upcoming blowout, but Stephen A. Smith recently ran into trouble with her fans. He was asked about the singer’s performance and suggested Rihanna’s talents don’t match that of Beyoncé.

Unsurprisingly, he earned the wrath of both artists’ fanbases. Smith later clarified that he didn’t mean to disrespect Rihanna, but he prefers Bey as an entertainer.

Missy Elliott Teases A Love Triangle With Jack Harlow In A New Doritos Teaser Ahead Of The Super Bowl

We are just weeks away from Super Bowl LVII, and while the game is a thrill in and of itself, fans look equally forward to the star-studded commercials. Over the past few weeks Doritos has teased a scandalous love triangle-themed spot with Jack Harlow. Now, it seems like hip-hop icon Missy Elliott is joining in on the fun.

In the clip, Elliott answers a phone call from the “First Class” hitmaker himself.

“What’s up? Collab? You know I’ve been waiting to collab,” she says on the phone.

Shortly after, Elliott looks puzzled.

“A love triangle?” Elliott says. “I don’t know about that.”

Though Harlow himself is neither seen nor heard during the sneak preview, Elliott’s reactions say it all. At the end of the clip, the screen reads “2.12.2023,” suggesting that both stars will appear in the Doritos ad set to air during the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LVII will take place on February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kick-off will begin at 6:30 EST and the game will broadcast on Fox.

[WATCH] Yung Miami Asks Trina About Allegedly Dating Missy Elliott

Screen Shot 2023 01 19 at 1.07.37 PM

On the latest episode of Caresha Please hosted by the City Girls’ Yung Miami, Trina was the special guest and there was no question left unasked.

Miami inquired about the rumors of her dating Missy Elliott and even asked her to choose between two of her exes; Lil Wayne and French Montana. The convo eventually turned sexual, asking Trina if she preferred head of sex. Trina immediately and candidly answered, “I don’t care if it takes you two hours, you’re gonna suck it until I cum.”

Yung Miami Asks Trina Whether She Really Dated Missy Elliott In A Hilarious ‘Caresha Please’ Teaser

Yung Miami‘s podcast, Caresha Please, returns this week with special guest Trina, the Miami rap pioneer whose influence can be heard throughout the City Girls’ catalog. Fans were delighted by a new teaser previewing the interview, which promises to get into all the spicy details of Miami’s industry relationships — including one that seemed to confuse a few observers.

In addition to addressing rumors about Trick Daddy and more, one of the names Miami throws out is Missy Elliott. “Why would Caresha ask Trina if she dated Missy Elliott?” asked one bewildered fan.

As it turns out, though, that particular rumor is actually a parody of the kind of celebrity-obsessed speculation that flew around even in the pre-social media days of the internet from Missy’s 2002 single “Gossip Folks.” In the song, a series of the titular folks discuss silly pitches like, “I heard she only eats one cracker a day,” and “I heard the bitch was married to Timb, then started f*ckin’ with Trina.”

And some interpreted this as another one of Yung Miami’s journalistic faux pas, it could also just as easily be read as the City Girl’s commitment to leaving no stone unturned in her search for the hottest of tea. After all, that song did drop when Miami was all of eight years old. Try explaining satire to one of them. You can check out more responses to the Caresha Please trailer below.

Missy Elliott Celebrates Aaliyah on What Would Have Been Her 44th Birthday: ‘You will forever be the BLUEPRINT’

Missy Elliott remembered Aaliyah online on what would have been the singer’s 44th birthday (Jan. 16). Hitting Twitter, Missy called the late singer the “BLUEPRINT.”

“You will forever be the BLUEPRINT of what it means to STEP OUTSIDE the box MUSICALLY & creating NEW style in FASHION & a NATURAL at acting & being GREAT at them all The World will always feel your IMPACT & LOVE you shared 4ever,” Missy wrote online.

In more Missy Elliott news, the legend will take the stage at the 2023 edition of the Lovers & Freinds festival. She also will be celebrated during Grammy weekend.

50 Cent, Missy Elliott, And Usher Will Headline Lovers And Friends Festival When It Returns This Spring

Like Aaliyah once said, “If at first, you don’t succeed, you can brush it off and try again.” That seems to be the strategy the Lovers And Friends Festival is going with this spring (you just know Aaliyah herself would have been on the lineup), bringing back the nostalgic event for a second attempt at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 6. Today, the fest announced its millennial-baiting lineup, which features TRL faves like Missy Elliott, 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, and of course, the fest’s inspiration, Usher, whose 2004 hit is the festival’s namesake.

Unfortunately, Lovers And Friends Festival has had a bumpy road so far, starting with its first planned iteration in Carson, California in 2020. Numerous artists on the original lineup initially denied their involvement after the show was announced before their respective booking agents let them know they were on the c/o 2000 fever dream lineup. Once they were confirmed, demand for tickets skyrocketed, prompting the organizers to add a second day before the COVID-19 pandemic put the kibosh on the whole event.

However, a revamped version of the festival came back in 2022, moving to Las Vegas and reverting back to a one-day fest. This turned out to be kind of a bad idea, as logistics for the fest were kind of a mess, leaving fans without shade or water in the 100-plus-degree desert heat (which tends to go the other way at night, leaving fans freezing instead). Then, there were reports of gunfire, causing stampedes and thankfully minor injuries.

Hopefully, they can learn from those mistakes as they return this spring and give fans the show they deserve because as an elder millennial (or Xennial or whatever you call us), I for one am extremely tired of having the rug pulled out from under me. Let us have something nice, for once. Please and thanks.
