Randy Orton Only Listens To Female Rappers When Working Out: ‘They Get My Blood Pumping’

There are few things more important to getting a good workout in than having the right playlist. Having the right soundtrack is vital for most people to getting maximum output, and sometimes what you need in the gym varies by what you’re doing — for example, cardio and weights might need different genres.

Everyone’s taste is a bit different, which is why there’s few things worse than forgetting headphones when going to the gym and having to listen to whatever they’ve got playing over the speakers. That is, unless you have your own fully built out home gym and can pick the music blasting through the speakers, as is the case for WWE superstar Randy Orton. The 44-year-old has been in WWE for more than two decades, and he looks like the kind of guy that is likely playing something pretty heavy in the gym.

However, as he recently explained to Sheamus in his home gym, he goes to a different genre and is far more up to date on his playlist than you’d expect. The Viper is all about the ladies when it comes to the gym, explaining that he has “an extensive female rap artist playlist” rattling off everyone from Megan Thee Stallion to GloRilla and fellow St. Louis native (and WWE fan) Sexxy Red.

It’s clearly not the answer Sheamus was expecting, but as Orton explained, “they get my blood pumpin, what can I say.” I think my only follow-up questions would be what did Randy used to listen to in the gym back in the day and when was he introduced to some of these artists, because he’s been in the gym for decades and I’d be fascinated to know when he figured out that Cardi B and Nicki Minaj got the blood going and the muscles firing in just the right way.

Megan Thee Stallion Is Suing A YouTuber For Spreading Disinformation About Tory Lanez’s Assault Case

Although Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion almost two years ago and sentenced to 10 years in prison, Megan is still dealing with the legal fallout of the case. According to Billboard, the Houston rapper has filed a lawsuit against a YouTuber named Milagro Gramz for allegedly spreading disinformation about Megan and the case.

The lawsuit accuses Milagro Gramz — whose real name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper — of being a “mouthpiece and puppet” for Tory Lanez, using her platform to “denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements” about Megan. The lawsuit also alleges that Cooper shared a pornographic deepfake of Meg, along with cyberstalking, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy.

Among the disinformation allegedly circulated by Cooper was an assertion that the gun used by Tory to shoot Meg in the foot had gone missing. However, according to Meg’s attorneys, “The firearm remains in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department.”

This isn’t the first time Megan’s legal team accused Tory of using surrogates to attack her in the media and undermine her credibility. Tory was found guilty of committing assault with a firearm causing great bodily injury; concealing a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence after the July 2020 incident, which left Meg with bullet fragments in both feet. Despite this — or perhaps because of it — Lanez has amassed a more dedicated following of supporters who seem much more interested in trolling Megan than they ever did in streaming or buying Tory’s music.

Meanwhile, Meg isn’t the only rap star irritated by Gramz’s antics; in June, she also got into a Twitter tiff with Cardi over Cardi’s comments about the BET Experience in LA.

GloRilla Alludes That Her And Megan Thee Stallion Are Working On A Collab Album

Since their first collaboration “Wanna Be” and their appearances on stage together, fans have been begging for GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion to further their chemistry. It’s understandable as their rowdy energy on the track is pretty contagious and their respective styles match up well. The unofficial femcee duo listened to those requests, as the Houston act would grab her for MEGAN on the track “Accent.” Then, Big Glo would return the favor on her debut album GLORIOUS with the boisterous cut “HOW I LOOK.” On top of these records, they have conducted interviews together, have been seen on social media cracking each other up, and enjoying one another’s company.

With all of that in mind, it’s clear they have become extremely close, and the fans see that. So, it’s no surprise that they have been now harping on them to get to work on a full project together. From what it sounds like, GloRilla and Megan are answering their demands. In a recent sit-down with Ebro Darden and Apple Music (via Uproxx), the interviewer asked about this very topic. “Is there truth to the rumor of you and Megan Thee Stallion having a joint project?”

GloRilla & Megan Thee Stallion Seem To Be On The Same Page

The Memphis talent giggled as she always does, which prompted Ebro to follow up with another question in that same vein. “Y’all got some heat, y’all recorded some things?” Once again, she sort of dodged really answering, simply answering, “Yep.” Ebro then pried again, “But you can’t confirm nor deny?” “Right,” Glo responds as she bursts out into laughter once more. While it seems she doesn’t want to let the cat out of the bag entirely, it sounds like a forgone conclusion. It’s helped by the fact that Megan also alluded to it as well in a recent interview with the Inside The Industry podcast. However, if y’all want it, you’re going to need to keep pestering them. “We said we were going to sit down in December and start working on it. So, y’all really need to spam Glo for real because we’re both bulls***ters,” Meg said.

What are your thoughts on GloRilla hinting at her and Megan Thee Stallion working on a collaboration album? Do you think we will get it early next year, or will we have to wait even longer than that? Megan The Stallion has a stronghold on two special times of the year. Thanks to her beloved catchphrase, “Hot Girl Summer,” the warm weeks belong to the “Bigger In Texas” rapper. But her passion for Halloween comes in a close second.

This Hottieween season is a rather special one for Meg for several reasons. Atop the list is a rather significant co-sign the Grammy Award winner just earned. Today (October 29), Megan Thee Stallion’s Starfire (of Teen Titans) Halloween costume received a thumbs up from thee James Gunn, which is an honor for any self-proclaimed nerd like Meg.

In a post on Thread, Gunn reshared Megan Thee Stallion’s costume reveal images. “Whoa,” he wrote. “Cool.”

Gunn’s followers joined in to praise Meg’s depiction. “Biblically accurate Starfire, as George intended,” wrote one user referring to the get-up being pulled directly from 1980s illustrations cooked up by Marv Wolfman and George Perez.

This is surely just the tipping point for Meg as last year she sported three major looks (a flower from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, Death The Kid from anime Soul Eater, and the lady gremlin from Gremlins 2: The New Batch). But on Halloween Day (October 31), Megan tends to dial things up a notch for her annual Hottieween party. Or she could go the flirty route having expressed interest seeing her “Spin” collaborator Victoria Monét dress up like her. Maybe Megan will return the honor.

GloRilla Could Not Help But Add More Fuel To The Megan Thee Stallion Joint Album Rumor

Weeks apart, rap’s dynamic duo Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla dropped new albums. For Megan Thee Stallion that body of work was Megan: Act II. While GloRilla released her long-awaited debut album, Glorious. Along the way the two emcees have racked up quite the busy with notable collaborations, from the tracks “How I Look,” “Wanna Be” and “Accent,” to a successful performance run on the Hot Girl Summer Tour.

Their musical chemistry (a far cry from their first impression of each other) has sparked demands for the rappers to drop more music together. Now, fans are demanding a full-out collaborative album. But will Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla actually give into supporters’ request? Today (October 29), GloRilla sat down with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1 and further fanned the flames of its possibility.

“Is there truth to the rumor of you and Megan Thee Stallion having a joint project,” asked Ebro. “Y’all got some heat, y’all recorded some things.”

GloRilla followed up, saying: “Yep.”

But that wasn’t the confirmation Ebro needed so he followed up with: “But you can’t confirm nor deny.”

Evasively, GloRilla answered: “Right.”

Well, in a Stationhead broadcast (captured by Inside The Industry podcast) Megan Thee Stallion shed light on what’s holding the potential project up. “We’re both so busy,” she said. “We said we were going to sit down in December and start working on it. So, y’all really need to spam Glo for real because we’re both bullsh*ters.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawyer Responds To Tory Lanez’s Missing Gun Claims

Major updates regarding the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion shooting case continue to file in. According to Meghann Cuniff (via AllHipHop), the Houston rapper’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, has come forward to shoot down previous claims made by Lanez and his legal team. The latter had stated that the gun that was used to injure Megan went missing and therefore not able to run through DNA tests. That court filing was sent in earlier this month. “As the firearm is unavailable, this further testing is impossible. By failing to preserve the material and exculpatory evidence, the People have infringed on the Petitioner’s right under the First and Fourteenth Amendments to seek redress of Petitioner’s grievances through the judicial process.”

Lanez’s team continued to argue, “The Petitioner is entitled to challenge the legality of his confinement under the Fourteenth Amendment due process clause because of the People’s failure to preserve and present exculpatory evidence at trial and make available to the Petitioner post-trial.” Spiro spoke directly with Cuniff to disprove these claims, saying that the weapon was “there and available” at the Los Angeles Police Department.

If you remember, prior to these claims from Lanez and his team, he initially wanted to do DNA tests. They thought this would prove his innocence and place the blame at the feet of someone else. That someone else was a former friend of Megan’s, Kelsey Harris. Tory’s appeal for writ of habeas corpus is currently under consideration. The California Attorney General’s Office needing to make a decision on the petition by November 20.

What are your thoughts on Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyer speaking out against Tory Lanez’s missing gun claims? Do you think the Canadian rapper has any chance of getting out or reducing his sentence? Tory Lanez Files Ethics Complaint Against Former Attorney Over Alleged Roc Nation Ties

Tory Lanez may be behind bars, but he isn’t done fighting. According to TMZ, the rapper filed an ethics complaint on Monday, October 28. The complaint is being leveled at Shawn Holley, a California attorney who briefly represented Lanez during his trial. The rapper feels as though he was not properly informed about Holley’s business associations prior to hiring her. Furthermore, Tory Lanez alleges that Holley purposely quit representing him without giving him enough time to find a replacement.

In the complaint obtained by TMZ, Tory Lanez points to Shawn Holley’s entertainment career. He noted that the attorney serves as a producer on the hit series Reasonable Doubt. Megan Thee Stallion’s song “Savage (Remix)” was featured in the second season. Lanez believes that Holley’s connections to Roc Nation and Megan Thee Stallion denotes a conflict of interest. especially since Megan was the person that Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting. The rapper’s complaint alleges that Holley had Roc Nation’s best interest in mind when she agreed to represent him.

Tory Lanez Wants His Attorney Fees Reimbursed

Tory Lanez alleges that Holley withdrew when he refused to make a plea deal. The attorney walked away from Lanez a mere five days before he was sentenced. Lanez alleges that her official reason for quitting was due to a bribery, and the rapper claims that no such bribery took place. Shawn Holley, however, gave a different reason, according to Legal Affairs and Trials. The attorney claims that she quit after Lanez decided to go for the “Kelsey defense” in court. This defense posits that Megan Thee Stallion’s friend, Kelsey Harris, was the real shooter.

In an email obtained by Legal Affairs and Trials, Shawn Holley claimed that she not wish to pursue this angle. “I am not comfortable advancing the Kelsey Defense,’” she explained to Tory Lanez. “Primarily because I don’t find it to be a viable strategy.” Lanez wants the money he paid Holley to be returned. He also wants the attorney to be reprimanded by the California State Bar, according to TMZ. Holley has dismissed Lanez’s accusations as “meritless,” however. She told the outlet that the rapper tried and failed to level similar accusations a year ago.

Fans Get Into Tense Argument Over Ciara Reportedly Clearing A Sample For Megan Thee Stallion And Not Stunna Girl

At the top of 2024, rapper Stunna Girl put out a song with YG called “Stand Up.” The track sampled R&B stalwart Ciara’s iconic hit “Goodies.” However, it didn’t take long for the singer’s team to take action. She was asked to remove the track from YouTube due to copyright infringement. The single does remain on her DSP accounts, but it’s safe to say that Stunna Girl was incredibly frustrated over the whole debacle. “I literally hate when producers use samples. These artists be actin’ like they made the beat it’s so many people that used that beat but @ciara team writing me saying she personally contacted them about me.”

Fans clapped back at her for putting CiCi and her team on blast saying that she doesn’t know the correct protocol for clearing things. After that spat in January, things have remained dormant, at least until this past weekend. Megan Thee Stallion used the exact Ciara sample on the MEGAN: ACT II cut with Flo Milli “Roc Steady.” However, there are reports out there that she cleared “Goodies” for the Houston act and not Stunna Girl.

This sparked a pretty intense debate amongst fans of all three artists in The Neighborhood Talk‘s IG comment section. Some are staunchly defending Ciara’s reported decision with them saying she’s allowed to give the OK to whoever she wants. Others feel that it had to do with who was going to bring in the most revenue for CiCi. Given that Megan is globally more popular than Stunna Girl, they feel it was a no-brainer. Furthermore, there’s people theorizing that Ciara likes what Meg represents compared to the Cali talent. Finally, others claimed that Stunna’s track was too horrific for her to use the record.

What are your thoughts on fans arguing over Megan Thee Stallion reportedly getting the OK to use a Ciara sample that Stunna Girl wasn’t allowed to use? Do you think the former handled things the right way with the R&B act’ and her team? Or do you think CiCi is playing favorites? Megan Thee Stallion Names The ‘Beautiful’ Singer She Wants To See Dressed Up As Her For Halloween

With the possible exception of Heidi Klum, no one goes more all out for Halloween than Megan Thee Stallion. Last year alone, she was a flower from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, Death The Kid from anime Soul Eater, and the lady gremlin from Gremlins 2: The New Batch.

What does she have in store for 2024? We have to wait until the Hottieween party to find out, but in an interview with Nylon, the “Bigger In Texas” rapper was asked which celebrity she’d like see in a Megan Thee Stallion costume this Halloween. “I would want to see Victoria Monét dress up as me,” she said. “People already think that we look alike, so I would like to see how she would dress up as me. She is so beautiful. I feel like she would either do the green look from the ‘Bigger In Texas’ video, or she would do the original Tina Snow cover.”

A key to a good Megan costume? Having a good butt. “If I could gift the hotties a pair of jeans from the collection, it would be the pair with the wings on the butt,” Megan, speaking as the new True Religion spokesperson, said. “I love a good baggy jean, and I love bringing attention to my butt. I got a good butt, and I feel like the hotties would want to show that part of them off, too.”

Appellate Court Seek To Reinvestigate Tory Lanez Case After Accepting Appeal

Tory Lanez’s career was not looking good. The rapper was sentenced to a decade in prison for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, and is currently being held at California Correctional Institution. He had tried to keep his musical output going with the Prison Tapes series, but even those were cut short. Lanez seemed doomed to fade into irrelevance behind bars, but a major development surfaced on October 25. An L.A. Appellate Court has accepted Tory Lanez’s innocence claim, which means Lanez’s case could be reinvestigated.

DJ Akademiks obtained court documents confirming the accepted appeal. The acceptance means that the District Attorney will have two weeks to respond. If given the opportunity, however, investigators will take a second look at Lanez’s conviction. In particular, there will be an investigation into the allegation that the rapper was unfairly prosecuted. This has the potential to be life-changing for Lanez. The rapper was found guilty of first-degree assault with a firearm. He was also found guilty of discharge of a firearm with gross negligence. He will not be eligible for parole until September 2029.

Tory Lanez Has Maintained That He’s Innocent

This is the first big development in the Tory Lanez case since July. The rapper’s former driver, Jauquan Smith, submitted an affidavit in which he claimed he didn’t actually see Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion. The defense council claimed that Smith was not allowed to testify during Lanez’s trial. They also felt the affidavit was reason enough to launch another trial. The California prosecutors contested this request, however. Michael C. Keller, the Deputy Attorney General, posited that Smith’s testimony would not have significantly changed the outcome of the trial.

“Defense counsel conceded that Smith would not have been a helpful witness,” Keller noted. “Because of his bias and the cumulative nature of his proffered testimony.” Tory Lanez has maintained that he is innocent, despite his conviction. Shortly before his decade-long sentence began, the rapper told fans that he was “wrongfully convicted.” He also refused to apologize to Megan Thee Stallion. “In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongly convicted of,” he wrote. Time will tell if Lanez’s assertions are vindicated.
