Boosie Badazz Reunites With Webbie At Boosie Bash, Invites GloRilla To Perform “Yeah Glo!”

Boosie Badazz recently hosted his fifth annual Boosie Bash in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a three-day event of parties and a hip-hop music festival. Moreover, on Friday (March 15), he held a talent showcase, and today (Sunday, March 17), he will bring together a finale party at Red Stick Social. The big event, though, was the Trill Entertainment rapper’s festival on Saturday (March 16), and he brought out a lot of artists last night. There was Jeezy, 42 Dugg, Jacquees, the 41-year-old’s reunion with labelmate Webbie, and GloRilla, who came out to perform her new banger “Yeah Glo!“

Furthermore, folks probably know that Webbie and Boosie have kept up a close relationship as of late, which is heartening considering their history together. They’ve been supporting each other since the Trill days in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and seeing this scene still alive and kicking is a nice sight. In addition, it’s also great to see rappers who are more active and relevant today give these MCs the flowers they deserve. Hopefully it’s a generational crossover that continues throughout 2024, and hopefully more industry peers craft experiences that open this door.

As for GloRilla, we know that Boosie is quite fond of her in unexpected, creative, and downright comical ways. For example, he named his dog after her last year, and we can’t deny that that’s an honor that very few rappers can claim. After all, who’s out here naming their dog Hov, or 6ix God, or Roman, or Kung Fu Kenny? We’re sure there are probably wilder examples of this out there, but in this case, it’s a curious but wholesome example of Southern solidarity.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Accused Of “Scamming” Rolling Loud With Lackadaisical Performance

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign are still in the midst of their Vultures rollout. Overall, they have seen quite a bit of success with Vultures 1. Now, however, fans are waiting on them to come through with Vultures 2. The album is not out yet, and fans are starting to get antsy. However, the pair has come through with some listening parties, which have effectively given fans something to be hopeful for. On Thursday, however, they had a huge opportunity at their fingertips as they performed at Rolling Loud.

This Rolling Loud performance was a special one as they were the only set of the day. If you had bought a three-day pass to the festival, you were granted access to this special set. Unfortunately, it seems as though some festivalgoers wish they had just stayed home entirely. In footage posted to Twitter, Kanye and Ty could be seen walking around the stage, barely engaging with the music. In fact, some reported that their mics weren’t even on, which made this more of a listening party.

In the tweets below, you ca see just disappointed people were with the entire ordeal. Overall, it just wasn’t the best look for Ye and Ty. Especially when you consider how Vultures 2 is a week past due at this point. Fans want the album, and they were hoping that tonight could serve as some sort of launch point. Instead, it was a disappointing performance that showcases just how out of touch Ye is these days.

Cardi B Joins Madonna Onstage For Raunchy Dance-Off During “Vogue”

Madonna’s The Celebration Tour has been a spectacle to witness, and folks in Inglewood, California for her Monday night performance (March 11) had a great surprise to enjoy. Moreover, the one and only Cardi B walked out onstage to rate a dance-off with the pop legend for “Vogue,” and this celebrity guest slot during this song is a staple of her shows at this point. The “CHAMPAGNE ROSÉ” collaborators held up signs reading “10” or “CHOP” as the dancers strutted their stuff. What’s more is that the Bronx rapper twerked for the crowd and for the dancers, too, and you know for a fact that she got a ten from her peers.

Overall, it was a pretty glamorous, raunchy, and above all fun performance from two dominant artists in their fields. The influence that the “Like A Virgin” icon laid down for generations to come is undeniable and deeply rooted, even if affirmation of this can come off as combative. For example, Madonna and Cardi B were actually at odds for a couple of hours thanks to a seemingly dismissive post from the former to the latter, which Cardi didn’t appreciate considering her consistent fandom. But they spoke and cleared things up, and it became apparent that it was just a simple misunderstanding.

Furthermore, there are other non-Cardi B aspects of The Celebration Tour that weren’t as warmly received. Fortunately, these examples seem to have resolved amicably and without much fuss. He actually passed away due to stroke complications.

Pharrell Leaves Saudi Arabia Show Early After Fans Throw Wristbands At The Stage

Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, and Martin Garrix were among the performers at Formula 1 Grand Prix’s post-race show in Saudi Arabia on Saturday (March 9). However, when the Louis Vuitton designer took the stage for his performance, he took issue with fans throwing their wristbands at the stage. “This is the liveliest city right now on the planet but we have also got to be the safest,” he told the crowd. “I know you guys are excited and I know you are wanting to throw your wrist gadgets and lights and all that, but you can’t as the girls are dancing. And me? I love women, how about you?”

Folks may remember something similar to this happening to Kid Cudi at Rolling Loud Miami 2022. Nevertheless, Pharrell continued: “We must protect our women so if you want to throw them lights you have to throw them the other way, not at the stage. Who understands what I’m saying?” When the crowd kept going, he decided to cut the show 15 minutes early. “Let’s take those stup*d wristbands and throw them in the air right now when I count to three. And now we are done. Okay, I’m going to let you all finish,” the Neptunes legend said before storming offstage.

JPEGMAFIA Plays Alternate Version Of Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign’s “FUK SUMN,” Crowd Goes Ballistic

JPEGMAFIA recently performed at the Pitchfork Music Festival CDMX in México on Wednesday (March 6), and played an alternate version of the VULTURES 1 cut “FUK SUMN” that made fans in the crowd go ballistic. Moreover, it’s one of a few tracks that he helped produce for Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s collab album, along with the opener “STARS,” the dramatic and choral-inspired “BEG FORGIVENESS,” and the closer “KING.” This version is a bit darker and features Quavo on it, some ethereal high-pitched synths, and a slightly different structure and percussion mix. It’s a pretty solid and subtle reimagining, especially considering that we can only hear it through a live recording of it.

Furthermore, a lot of fans are wondering whether JPEGMAFIA will also help this duo out for the next installments of Vultures. However, at least at press time on VULTURES 2‘s previously scheduled release date, it doesn’t seem like this will manifest just yet. It’s March 8, and the album still isn’t out, although this is exactly what happened with the first installment of this supposed trilogy. Regardless, with some listening parties on the cards, we can’t imagine that this is an easy end to this tale.

Meanwhile, this is also pretty notable because it’s one of the first instances of Peggy acknowledging VULTURES 1 in a while. Last time, it was because of his smoke-searching with Freddie Gibbs, with whom he has a big problem and wanted to engage in beef with. While the Indiana MC responded to JPEGMAFIA in quite the unbothered and mocking way, this was still a really bizarre and unfortunate feud to witness. Maybe we’re projecting here, but their fanbase crossover is much larger than many other rap opponents out there.

Also, this continues the Baltimore creative’s staunch support of Ye, his idol, despite his far-right and antisemitic behavior. As someone who is very left-leaning in his music and interviews -– and literally made fun of not just Kanye despite his love of him, but also the black metal group whose designs the Chicago artist took inspiration from for this album rollout -– this disappointed a lot of die-hards. Furthermore, apart from this performance, Bobby V is pretty low-key and under the radar these days, which must feel nice. After all, even the happiest or most successful celebrity in the world can’t keep up with so much attention all the time. Regardless, he is still moving his career forward and making the best out of it, with some potential opportunities on the horizon. You can see as the kids jumped up, screamed, and sang excitedly as the Oakland singer walked down a set of stairs to their level. Hearing them all harmonize and enjoy the beauty of this track together means a lot, and it’s one of the most wholesome artist pop-ups you’ll see this week.

Furthermore, this is curious because it pairs somewhat well with a more contentious example of someone giving Keyshia Cole her flowers, not the other way around. Kaliii recently clapped back at allegations that she sampled Cole without permission for her track “BOZO.” In fact, the sampled cut in question is actually “LOVE,” so there are more surprising connections here than it seems at first glance. They actually went back and forth on this on Twitter, but made it clear that there was just miscommunication between the teams and shared a lot of love for each other.

About two weeks ago, he shared some photos from his NPR Tiny Desk appearance on his X (Twitter) account. “Let me take y’all on a journey… #tinydesk,” he wrote to his followers. All of them were undoubtedly excited as and emojis filled his comment section.

Well, that day has finally come. According to Uproxx, you can check out the full concert on YouTube right now. During his roughly 24-minute-long show, Jeezy played six of his most memorable songs as follows. “Standing Ovation,” “Air Forces,” “Bottom Of The Map,” “And Then What,” “Go Crazy, and “Everythang,” wound up making the final cut.

However, it’s not always peaches and cream for him out in the clubbing world, even when he’s tapped to perform. Moreover, the rapper and his crew recently hit up the Proud Cabaret in London, England in the early hours of Sunday (February 18). According to TMZ, he performed two songs at around 4AM local time, and then got into an intense argument with the club’s promoter that resulted in a whole lot of pushes, shoves, and him allegedly spitting on someone in the crowd.

Furthermore, it seems like Bobby Shmurda and company left promptly after this, and nothing else transpired as the night went on at the Proud Cabaret. In addition, no reports of injuries emerged from this, so it seems like it was all just a brief scuffle and nothing more. Fortunately, this isn’t a very common occurrence when you look at the track record, as there are a lot of other instances of antics that are less combative. For example, you may remember a viral clip of him hilariously falling down at a club last year.

But the New York MC’s notable behavior isn’t reserved for just the club; the media allegedly got a fair share of it, too. “Yo, I waited… I think, like, ten hours for Bobby Shmurda when he just got out,” DJ Akademiks recently claimed. “I slept at the studio waiting for this n***a. They kept telling me, ‘Oh, his jet is coming.’ They’re like, ‘Yo, when he lands, he wants to pull right up there.’ I’m like, ‘Can’t you just tell me when he’s actually even here?’ They’re like, ‘Nah, yo, just be on standby.’ Alright… The artist feels like the business doesn’t exist without them. And partially, they’re right. But because of that inflated self-importance, like, what intuitively happens is that they pretty much start devaluing everyone’s contributions. Yeah, of course, [it’s ego s**t.] Most egotistical -– I can’t figure out no other genre where there’s a complete selfishness.”

During a recent sit-down, the 29-year-old spoke on his imperfect commitment to celibacy and how he’s choosing to live his life these days. Yung Joc Joins Fitness Training Class In Ohio For Surprise Performance

These days, Atlanta stars like Yung Joc are either elders in the game, weighing in on the culture and getting new songs named after them, or they’re still holding onto their status. But have you ever seen one perform for a pilates class? Well, that’s not exactly what the Georgia native recently did at an Ohio gym, but he did perform for a crowd taking a fitness training class, and they were all surprised and amped up. Just imagine not having the strength to make it through another leg day, but then the speakers announce the arrival of Joc, and his energy gets you going through another rep.

Furthermore, it was a pretty cool thing to witness, and we wonder if other companies or fitness joints will do more stuff like this. Perhaps a whole cardio and endurance class from Pusha T, or a weightlifting session hosted by JELEEL? Jokes aside, many folks wondered how much Yung Joc made off this, and whether he even did it for the money or for the fun of it. Considering his often wild takes on social media and how he is just as prone to have fun online as he is to get serious, we imagine it was a little bit of both. The important thing is that the “I Know U See It” hitmaker put a lot of energy into the performance itself.
