Kanye West Invites Playboi Carti To Miami Listening Party With Ty Dolla Sign

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s collab album is apparently still in the works despite multiple delays, cancellations, pulled concerts, and more antics. Moreover, apparently the two are hosting a listening party referred to as a “VULTURES RAVE” in Sawgreen Mills in the Miami area, as the shopping center is in Sunrise, Florida. Per social media posts from the singer, it will take place on Tuesday (December 12) at 12AM midnight. As such, it seems like each artist is also taking steps to make sure everyone who they want there will be there. For Ye, that includes a familiar face who he executive-produced an album for three years ago.

Furthermore, Playboi Carti continued his hot streak of social media activity recently by sharing a DM from him. “It’s ye checking in family,” Kanye’s message reads, according to his Whole Lotta Red collaborator’s recent Instagram Story post. “Got your number from wheezy.” Then, he included a screenshot of Ty Dolla $ign’s announcement of this “rave,” which is most likely just a listening party. However, it’s still quite likely that this is just a ruse to put together some other shindig or party, as we don’t know the explicit details of it.

Not only that, but this also brings two album rollouts together, something which only became possible for Kanye West and Playboi Carti this week. For those unaware, the latter fully kicked off his I AM MUSIC campaign, hyping fans up with snippets and a lot of social media interactions with other stars and potential collaborators. As such, it’s no surprise that the Atlanta rage exponent couldn’t help but share the good news from the Chicago rapper. Does this mean that we’ll get both projects at around the same time?

It’s too early to know for sure, but it wouldn’t be a surprising coincidence given that Ye and Carti have worked together before. With the former dropping new snippets of his own, many fans out there are reckoning with their individual controversies which have sullied excitement for these new releases. Lola Brooke New York Listening Party Pepper Spray Incident Led Event Awry: Report

Leading up to her debut project, Dennis Daughter, arriving today (November 10), Lola Brooke kept fans interested with a well-planned rollout. Singles like “You” and “Pit Stop” preceded her work, showing how the East Coast icon can hold her own alongside seasoned emcees like Bryson Tiller and French Montana. Plenty of her female contemporaries later came through to help Brooke too, including Latto, Coi Leray, and Yung Miami.

Ahead of sharing her album with the world, the “Don’t Play With It” hitmaker hosted a listening party in her home state. Unfortunately, a new report from Page Six alleges that things didn’t go exactly as planned after an alleged pepper spray incident at the Soho venue. “I was partying in the back having a good time and all of a sudden I could not breathe. My throat started to burn and my eyes teared up,” one attendee dished to the publication. “I think too many people were trying to get too close to her in her VIP section so the situation had to be handled with mace,” they hypothesized.

Brooke’s team told Page Six they “were unaware of that incident” taking place. Though the lyricist was seemingly unbothered by the chemicals in the air, many others “desperately dashed to the bathroom – and to the bar – for water to flush their eyes and throats.” Others opted to simply leave the party early. “I could not breathe, and had to leave, I could not take it. I honestly don’t know where it came from. One minute everyone was drinking and vibing to her music, the next minute people were coughing, choking and gasping for air. Everybody except Lola though,” another attendee noted.

Now that Lola Brooke’s debut LP has finally hit streamers, the rising starlet is already busy planning her next creative ventures. Ty Dolla Sign Announces Kanye West Collab Album Listening Parties In November

It seems like Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West’s new album is happening after all… at least, we’ll technically get to listen to it. Moreover, the former just announced via Instagram on Monday (October 23) that their collaborative project will result in various listening parties across multiple stadiums on November 3. For those unaware, speculation ran rampant online about their team-up over the past month or so thanks to hints about it, vague announcements, and social media sightings. In fact, we already went through this cycle recently with a rumored but then scrapped Italy concert that seems unlikely to go down.

Furthermore, this post suggests that we’re finally in full album rollout mode for, at the very least, Ty Dolla Sign and Kanye West’s offering as a duo. Along with buzz about this, reports suggested that the Chicago MC is working on a solo album as well, although that’s a bit more unclear. After all, what other artist can say that they have as many scrapped albums that fans obsess over as they do classic studio projects? If there’s any album announcement that comes with a mountain of salt, it’s Ye’s.

In addition, this is also an interesting development because it hints at the album’s actual release coming soon, as well. Otherwise, it seems odd for Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign to hold a listening party so exclusive that the album won’t be available in any particular way. if you’re confused, this is relevant because earlier reports pointed to the duo shopping their album around for distribution. Maybe the news that Rick Ross might be the one to bring the LP to light actually held more truth than some likely assumed.

Meanwhile, all this has a dark shadow looming over it, and that’s the Yeezy mogul’s year under heavy public scrutiny. Playboi Carti Shows Up To Ken Carson’s Album Listening Party

Playboi Carti fans are taking just about anything they can get. The rapper hasn’t released any new material since 2020 when he surprise dropped Whole Lotta Red in December. Fans were expecting some new material later this year when Carti and his entire Opium label announced a tour. But that tour has since been delayed and it seems less and less likely each week that Carti will drop this year. He even had a verse he recorded taken off of the new Offset album after he allegedly refused to clear it.

But in the mean time, one of Carti’s label mates just released a new album that could potentially tide fans over for a bit. Ken Carson just dropped his new album A Great Chaos which contains a trio of Destroy Lonely appearances and a Lil Uzi Vert guest spot. Carti himself doesn’t appear on the project but he did show up at the album’s listening party overnight. In a video shared to Instagram Carti seems to be enjoying himself with fans while they hear the music for the first time. Check out the video below.

In the comments, fans mostly discuss how much they’re enjoying the new Ken Carson project. “Ken just dropped da greatest sh*t i ever heard,” one of the top comments reads. “Best album dropped this decade,” someone else agrees. Elsewhere fans are hyping up Carti as starting his own wave with the artists he has signed to his label.

Whenever Playboi Carti does eventually drop fans are expecting his track “Killers” to be included. After a radio debut ultimately fell through earlier this year, the song made its debut during Drake’s recent takeover of OVO radio. Despite already leaking months ago fans are still excited at the prospect of hearing the final version of the track. Kanye West Gets Emotional Playing New Album At Italian Listening Party: Report

Kanye West reportedly premiered a new album at a listening party in Italy, over the weekend, according to The Sun. A source for the outlet says Ye “yelled and appeared out-of-sorts” while previewing the new music. It will mark his first album since Donda 2 as well as the first since making various antisemitic comments in 2022.

“At times, Ye seemed to have fun, but at other points he looked completely out-of-whack while playing it,” the outlet reported. Ty Dolla Sign, who appears to have a collaboration with West on the effort, was in attendance. Ye’s wife, Bianca Censori, on the other hand, was not. No further details on the project have been announced.

News of the listening party comes amid numerous leaks out of Kanye’s camp over the weekend. Many of them stem from an unreleased documentary filmed back in 2018. In clips from the piece, Ye targets both Pusha T and Nas for not being appreciative enough of his work on their albums Daytona and Nasir. Moreover, Ye also targeted Cardi B for being an “Illuminati plant.” At one point in the documentary, Kanye even speaks candidly about his relationship with Kim Kardashian. “I feel like my wife does believe in me, but she has a tendency to focus on the negative,” he said. “And she’ll call me ‘crazy’ and say ‘you’re ramped up’ more than she’ll say ‘you’re a genius.’ Like I get ‘you’re crazy’ a lot more than ‘you’re a genius.’ And it’s from this person that has an opening in my heart. Reason Claims No One From TDE Attended “Porches” Listening Party

Reason has made the bombshell claim that not a single person from his record label, TDE, attended a recent listening party for his new album, Porches. The rapper made the claims while guesting on the Rory & Mal podcast on August 18. “That’s what I thought was going to be the weirdest part,” he said, asked if he was worried about label drama ruining the party. “But it ended up not being as bad. I had a release party, and nobody showed up from the label, so…Ray Vaughn showed up — shout out to Ray Vaughn,” he said. “I took it as, you know, maybe n-ggas giving me some space.”

Of course, Reason has not be afraid to bash the label and its President, Moosa, in recent weeks. However, it’s a pretty scathing indictment on the part of the label to send no one to one of their own artist’s listening parties. Porches dropped on August 11 and has been reasonably well-received by the music industry.

Reason’s Beef With TDE Continues

Of course, this is just the latest twist in the saga between artist and label. Last month, Reason openly accused Moosa of fumbling his release. We had certain features lined up that could’ve gone through,” he vented. “We had the budget, we had the feature lined up, takes too long to get pushed through, the feature price ended up going up or something goes away. Content ideas lined up, not executed. Rollout ideas lined up, not executed.”

He continued. “It was a few different things. I had Latto lined up for something, not executed. I had EST Gee lined up, not executed. Like, us not pushing through. Features lined up, we got a price set, video, and verse for the love, takes too long. I’ll speak on the EST Gee shit specifically — took too long to get through to EST Gee and his people and be like, ‘Yo, this is what we wanna do.’ By the time we ended up connecting with him and reaching out, he dropped a record with Future and the record went crazy. Now, the feature is $25,000 more than what it already was.”
