North West Is Filled With Glee At Tyler, The Creator’s Listening Event For “Chromakopia”: Watch

On an early Monday morning, fans awoke to a brand-new album from Tyler, The Creator. Breaking his stingy album cycle, the California visionary dropped off his eighth studio effort CHROMAKOPIA. So far, the reception has been astounding, as his loyal fanbase has been labeling it as a “masterpiece.” It will take some time for everyone to digest it and rank it amongst the rest of his discography. Overall, though, the project definitely continues his incredible run since 2017’s Flower Boy. Tyler is taking the album on tour early next year, but he treated a massive and rambunctious crowd to a listening event last night.

The atmosphere at the arena in Los Angeles looked to be amazing, as fans have been sharing their experience from it. One of those supporters was North West, as she posted a cute and goofy video to social media expressing her excitement for CHROMAKOPIA. Kim Kardashian was there alongside her eager teenage daughter, as she hilariously came across as a mom who promised to take her kid to a concert she had no interest in. Throughout the clip, North West repeats the album’s title over and over again while Kim acts fake excited while on camera.

At the end of the day, as long as the kids have fun, that’s all that matters. North West showing her love for Tyler is nothing new. Since embarking on her own musical journey, she has borrowed a lot from the eclectic multi-hyphenate. Her outfit at the show (overtly large glasses and a nerdy aesthetic) has lots of Tyler inspiration and in interviews such as the one above, she has cited him as one of her favorite artists. With someone as talented as he is, maybe North West will be destined for similar success later on in music.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s recent VULTURES listening party in Korea on Thursday night (August 22) was more bizarre than most, and that’s saying something. Moreover, the reason why people raised their eyebrows at this particular event has to do with the former artist’s mention of one of his former friends turned current rivals. “This one’s for Drake, this one’s for Ian Connor,” Ye told the crowd when “I Wonder” started to play. Considering the track’s lyrical content and the questionable backgrounds of these figures, some fans took this as a diss about them being unable to find their dreams or a legitimate shoutout.

Either way, fans expressed confusion over this on social media, and aren’t really stepping in to defend neither Drake nor Ian Connor. Well, for Drizzy, a lot of fans think that Kanye West is just using his name for clout or once again walking back his previously negative stance on him. This year, that stance manifested into a “Like That” remix amid the Toronto rapper’s many beefs and plenty of disparaging comments down the line. Perhaps the sheer defeat he faced at the hands of Kendrick Lamar made Ye more sympathetic to his plight.

Jokes aside, some recent new footage of both Kanye West and Drake paints this picture in a more complicated fashion. Ye spoke to Candace Owens in a resurfaced 2022 interview about the 6ix God. “Drake is the best rapper ever by the numbers. Jay-Z is the greatest rapper ever by the inspiration,” he remarked. It’s funny that all these three artists collaborated on a song five years after Aubrey pretty much provoked Ye and Hov’s Watch The Throne album in a competitive fashion.

Meanwhile, as part of his 100 GIGS footage release, Drake showed off the process behind creating the hook for Kanye West’s “Yikes.” As such, it’s a bizarre time to view the relationship between these two titans of the music industry. Fans have as much access to their collaborative highs as they do to their pettily personal lows. We’ll see whether Ye explains this dedication, and whether they will ever reconcile.

Kanye West’s Kids & Bianca Censori Join Him In Korea For “Vultures 2” Event

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign are scheduled to appear in Korea tomorrow for their eagerly anticipated listening event for their new album, Vultures 2. Today, Ye was spotted at an airport in the East Asian country, joined by several family members. Of course, his wife Bianca Censori accompanied him, as did three of his kids.

Censori rocked a nude bodysuit, which she complemented with a matching hat and a pair of heels. As for Ye, he kept it casual for the long flight, sporting a white hoodie and some sweatpants. She was seen walking alongside his little ones, and even holding his six-year-old son, Chicago.

The Korean performance will be Ye’s first in roughly 15 years and is set to take place at Goyang Stadium. It’ll also be his second major listening event in recent weeks. Earlier this month, he and Ty performed in Salt Lake City, where Censori and her sisters cheered them on. For now, it remains unclear whether or not Ye and his entourage will do any exploring during their stay in Korea, though everybody looked excited to be there.

The trip comes shortly after Censori was spotted enjoying dinner with her family, who was visiting from Australia, and Ye’s children. It also comes amid reports that Ye & Ty’s listening event in Taiwan, scheduled for August 25, has been canceled. Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Reportedly Cancel “Vultures 2” Listening Event In Taiwan

Last month, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign announced plans to celebrate the latest installment of their Vultures trilogy with a listening party in Taiwan. The event was scheduled for August 25, though it now appears to have been called off. Taiwan News, Mirror Media, and various Ye fan accounts have reported the apparent cancellation.

“[I]t was reported that the organizer informed the manufacturers that ‘the event is cancelled,’ but no official cancellation announcement has been made yet,” Mirror Media reports. At the time of writing, the ticketing site does not list the event as canceled. Ye and Ty Dolla Sign have also yet to update fans on the status of the listening party. Their other listening event in Korea, which is planned for August 23, seems to be proceeding as expected.

For now, it remains unclear whether or not the Taiwan listening party will actually take place. It’s also unknown why it might have been canceled. Ye’s been making plenty of headlines lately for everything from his relationship with Bianca Censori to Adidas’ class action lawsuit against him, which could potentially have something to do with it.

This month, rumors that the Chicago MC is addicted to nitrous oxide have also been floating around, thanks to his former Chief of Staff Milo Yiannopoulos. Yiannopoulos alleges that Ye’s been getting concerning amounts of the gas from his dentist, Thomas P. Connelly. Connelly denies this, though a worrisome text message exchange surfaced online last week, which appears to suggest otherwise. These rumors are also unconfirmed. Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 2 rollout obviously has been a very hectic and controversial one, but it still contains many of the elements we expected. A release event hit the horizon, and a listening party in Utah featuring both artists and a host of special guests captivated many fans in attendance. Some highlights: updated versions to select VULTURES 2 tracks like a changed “FOREVER” verse, appearances from Ye’s daughters Chicago and North, live debuts of long-awaited grails like “CAN U BE,” and a whole lot more. But there’s a darker story brewing in the backdrop.

On various social media pages, including clips below and many other Twitter and Instagram discussions, Kanye West fans want the media to do better. Specifically, some pages that haven’t talked about the recent story involving his alleged nitrous addiction now face the wrath of angry comments sections. If you didn’t know about it beforehand but came across any recent Ye content on social media, then you’re definitely going to learn about it. It speaks to how fans are very concerned for his health and well-being these days, although much of this story is still alleged and speculative.

As such, we don’t really know to what extent this alleged nitrous addiction is real, who is to blame, how it’s supposedly affecting Kanye West, and whether it could explain – or be held accountable in regard to – his abhorrent controversies over the past few years. This mystery is partly what fuels fans’ advocacy for the media to address it and hopefully lead to proper care, support, and accountability. Still, take it all with a grain of salt, especially as the Chicago artist hasn’t said anything on the matter at press time.

Perhaps a statement from him could illuminate the situation, but until then, it’s harmful to speculate too far. VULTURES 2 was not as commercially successful as its predecessor, but the album arguably marks an even more important historical moment for Kanye West. His most hardcore fans are working through a lot of narratives: the quality of his music, his health, his bigotry, and their compliance in all of that to varying degrees. Hopefully, the concern will eventually overshadow the spectacle and Ye can prioritize himself rather than his celebrity status or career, or at least clarify whether or not this addiction story is real.

Bianca Censori & Sisters Support Kanye West At “Vultures 2” Listening Party In Utah

Last weekend, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign unveiled their new album, Vultures 2. To celebrate, the duo hosted a listening party for the project in Salt Lake City yesterday. As expected, they were surrounded by countless fans and loved ones. Of course, Ye’s wife Bianca Censori was in attendance, stunning in one of her signature nude bodysuits. She even brought a few family members along, who were spotted sitting next to the Australian model.

In photos from the evening, Censori and her sisters Angelina and Alyssia can be seen enjoying the event. They were also joined by a woman speculated to be their mother Alexandra. Angelina later shared several clips of the show, including one of Ye performing “Runaway.” While it makes sense that Censori and her loved ones came through to support her husband, this may come as a surprise to some, as some reports have suggested that they might have serious concerns about their relationship.

Back in March of this year, a source even told the Daily Mail that Censori’s father wanted to meet up with Ye to discuss her scandalous fashion statements. Ty Dolla $ign & Kanye West Announce “VULTURES 2” Listening Party In Utah

With the excitement mostly at its peak for VULTURES 2 at the time of writing, Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West are announcing yet another listening party. The former of the tandem shared the news via his Instagram just about an hour ago and it marks the third one for the album. Ty revealed the first one back on July 6 for Korea, which is now 20 days away. Then, the multi-hyphenate made his followers know about their future visit to Taiwan on July 25. That will go down two days later on August 25. That leads us to today, as Ty and Ye will be hitting the road, and heading to Salt Lake City to give the fans a special one-night performance of VULTURES 2.

This will actually be the first of the three listening experiences, as it will be going down on August 9. However, Dolla $ign’s followers aren’t really reacting to this news. Instead, they are harping on one aspect of the album that a majority of the community is having an issue with. The mixing, for lack of a better word, is pretty bad. Some aren’t too surprised with the final product, but others are confused, especially given how many times VULTURES 2 has been pushed back.

This argument is highlighted by the fact that there are quite a few songs that have floating around the internet for a couple of years now. People are wondering how and why Ye and Ty decided to give everyone essentially demos and they are letting them hear about it in this comment section as well. “FIX THE MIXING IN THE ALBUM THE QUALITY ISNT THE BEST”, one IG user demands. Another adds, “Album is s***, the lyrics are terrible, and mixing is so bad that some songs play on one ear when using headphones, the wait was not worth it”. “Dude why is Husband on here twice”, someone else jokes. Despite all this, we are sure Utah will have a massive turnout.

Ty Dolla Sign & Kanye West Announce “Vultures 2” Listening Party In Taiwan

There are long album rollouts, and then there are Kanye West album rollouts. The Chicago rapper has become infamous for making announcements he never follows through on. Vultures 1, the collab album he dropped with Ty Dolla Sign in February, was supposed to be the first in a trilogy. There’s been radio silence with regards to Vultures 2 and Vultures 3, though. Until now. Ty Dolla Sign dropped a bombshell on July 25, and it came in the form of a single image. According to the singer, Vultures 2 is going to be played in full in August.

Ty Dolla Sign posted the promo sheet for a listening party taking place on August 25. The party will be held in Taiwan, and is being billed as a “listening experience.” Both him and Kanye West are credited on the promo sheet above the title “Vultures.” At a glance, this looks to be another listening party for the first album. There was a similar announcement made for a “listening experience” in Korea on August 23. Ty’s caption, however, says otherwise. “V2,” he wrote alongside the sheet, confirming that he and West are finally going to unveil the second album in their trilogy.

For context, Vultures 2 was supposed to drop back in March. The original concept was that the three albums would drop in consecutive months, building to Vultures 3 in April. Obviously, none of this came together. Kanye West has been sidled with one controversy after another, and Ty Dolla Sign, seemingly, has no clue on when fans will get to hear the albums. He told XXL that Vultures 2 could drop “any day now” back in May. More recently, the singer told Billboard that all of the songs for the album have been completed.

“We got all the songs,” Ty Dolla Sign confirmed. “Basically, it’s just like, ‘How can we get it there? How can we go bigger than the first album?’” Dozens of songs have leaked on line in some form or another, including anticipated collabs with Young Thug, Lil Wayne and Kid Cudi. A new release date has yet to be offered by either Ty or Kanye West. That being said, listening parties for the new album is an extremely good sign. Maybe the Vultures trilogy will be completed after all.

Childish Gambino Previews His New Album With Foushee & Steve Lacy At NYC Listening Event

Childish Gambino’s new album (and multi-media project, as there’s a film involved), Bando Stone & The New World, is coming out on July 19, and fans couldn’t be more excited. Moreover, that’s especially the case thanks to a recent listening party he held in New York City to preview this new project and play some music from it. Donald Glover also tapped Steve Lacy and Fousheé to perform together, as it seems like they have a couple of collaborations on the highly anticipated LP. Either way, it made for an amazing show, and one that displayed the sheer variety and lushness that Bando Stone will presumably champion.

Furthermore, the single for this project, “Lithonia,” shows Childish Gambino moving in a more alt-rock and possibly emo-inspired direction, complete with blaring guitars, dramatic pianos, and a spotlit vocal performance. According to clips from this listening event, the album will also contain some hip-hop worship, funky passages, tender soul, electronic embellishments, and a lot of sharp and melodically serene songwriting. We’re sure that there’s even more in store, as this album comes after a pretty long wait. But what’s the fun in spoiling the surprises?

Childish Gambino, Fousheé & Steve Lacy Perform At Bando Stone Listening Party

Also, this is a very interesting rollout because it followed a curious but welcome reflection on Childish Gambino’s behalf of his past releases. The last album we got before Bando Stone was 2020’s 3.15.20, which he chose to revamp and re-release as the 2024 project Atavista. There were some notable changes and feature additions compared to the original version, plus some wholly unchanged aspects. It’s not really a common sighting in the mainstream or in the underground to handle releases in this way, so we’re glad that this experiment manifested.

Meanwhile, fans are ecstatic to hear about Childish Gambino’s new film soon, for which this new album will apparently be some sort of soundtrack. As with all things Donald Glover, he’s going to wear a lot of hats and make a whole media experience out of his creativity. You certainly won’t find us complaining, especially after how great much of this listening party material sounded. We’re all ready for Bando Stone & The New World, and we can’t wait to explore it.
