Diddy Looks To Fix “The Worst Jump Shot A Black Man Can Have” With Lethal Shooter: Watch

There is a running theme between rappers and basketball stars. Some wish they could switch careers with each other. The respect and correlation between hoopers and MCs goes back decades now and it is a cool thing to see. Over time, artists have been seen hooping at rec gyms or in the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game. Some have done quite well such as Quavo, 2 Chainz, and a few others. However, there are others who just cannot seem to make the effortless transition from mic to ball. One of those is Diddy.

Like Diddy, there are plenty of people who have called on Lethal Shooter to help them work on their shooting mechanics. Recently, Rick Ross was one of them. While he did get roasted by fans, it seems that Lethal Shooter (Chris Matthews) can help improve anyone’s skills. He and Diddy hit the court to clean up his shot.

A post shared by NBA Shooting Coach ( Chris Matthews ) (@lethalshooter)

HipHopDX was kind enough to include some of the hilarious commentary from Diddy in the video. Lethal Shooter shared the work they put in on his Instagram. After nailing a couple of shots, Diddy hit the front of the rim, grabbed the ball, and threw it. In a funny moment, he shouts, “Motherf****r!” A little later he reveals that he has “the worst jump shot that a Black man can have.” To be honest, though, DJ Khaled might have the worst one of them all. Look it up if you have the time, you will see what we mean.

What are your initial thoughts on Diddy and Lethal Shooter (Chris Matthews) working on his jump shot together? Could Diddy be the rapper with the best shooting stroke? Is Lethal Shooter the best shooting coach of all time? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Rick Ross Works On His Jump Shot With Lethal Shooter, Fans Roast Him

Even though Rick Ross was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, he has been living in the sunshine for years now. Most people associate Rozay with Florida, especially with his major support for professional sports teams. One that he reps heavily is the Miami Heat. He and LeBron James formed a friendship over the years, especially during the Heat’s four consecutive trips to the NBA Finals. Ross has appeared countless times on sports talk shows to discuss the Heat’s chances to win the Finals again over the years as well.

His love for his team is great and he seems excited that the NBA season is about to get underway. It is just a few weeks away and Ross will be able to catch Miami on NBA TV on Tuesday, October 10. That is their first pre-season game and it is against the Charlotte Hornets. Presumably not all of the starters will be playing heavy minutes, so maybe Ross can get some run tomorrow night. He has been working on his jump shot recently with shooting coach extraordinaire, Lethal Shooter.

MGK Is Apparently Taking His NBA All-Star Celebrity Game Selection VERY Seriously

The NBA’s All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, Ohio is right around the corner and while NBA players get the week off from a grueling 82-game season, some of the event’s participants have actually increased their activity in preparation for the festivities — including Cleveland native Machine Gun Kelly, who is apparently taking his selection to the celebrity game’s roster very seriously.

While the famous competitors in past iterations of the game have put previously existing hoop skills on display — Quavo, for instance, was a decorated high school athlete before his rap career took off — MGK has gone a step further, hiring celebrity skills coach Chris Matthews (aka @lethalshooter on Instagram) to help him brush up on his jumper before the game. Matthews, who has also worked with NBA players, WNBA players, and celebrities like
Anthony Davis, Candace Parker, and even Drake, posted a video of MGK running a shooting drill to his Instagram, which includes MGK sinking three (high school) three-pointers in a row and pre-emptively declaring himself MVP of the celebrity game.

Of course, MGK will have to outplay his teammate Quavo for that distinction — a tough sell, considering he’s been the game’s MVP in 2018 — as well as noted hoop aficionado Jack Harlow, who participated with Quavo in last year’s two-on-two event against Lil Baby and 2 Chainz, the WNBA’s Dearica Hambry, and former Harlem Globetrotter Crissa Jackson, among others.
