LeBron James Becomes NBA King of Scoring with 38 Point Performance

The NBA’s All-Time Scoring Record now belongs to LeBron James. In the third quarter of the Lakers’ Tuesday night game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Bron elevated over the Thunder defense to drop in a fadeaway jumper and capture the record.

After getting the bucket, the game was paused, allowing King James to celebrate with his fans and close friends. Bron would also deliver a speech at the moment to the Lakers fans.

“I write ‘The Man In The Arena’ on my shoe every single night from Theodore Roosevelt,” James said to ESPN in postgame. “Tonight, I actually felt like I was sitting on top of the arena when that shot went in, and the roar from the crowd. I’m not sure if I would be able to feel that feeling again, unless it’s a game-winning Finals shot.

“Everything just stopped. It gave me an opportunity to embrace it and look around and seeing my family, the fans, my friends. It was pretty cool. I probably can count on my hands how many times I have cried in 20 years, either in happiness or in defeat. So that moment was one of them when I kind of teared up a little bit. It was ‘I can’t believe what’s going on’ tears.”

The moment was christened with a passing of the torch moment from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to James. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver was also present for the moment.

Inside a sold-out Staples Center was Denzel Washington, JAY-Z, Bad Bunny, LL Cool J, Dwyane Wade, Magic Johnson, and more.

Unfortunately, the Lakers lost the game, but they will look to rectify that on Thursday when they host Giannis Antentokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

LeBron James Believes He Is The GOAT

LeBron is just a game or two away from breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. Of course, this is a massive accomplishment, for numerous reasons. Overall, people felt like this was a record that would never be broken. However, James is just 36 points away from doing so. He could do it tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder, although most believe it will be done on Thursday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. No matter what, it is going to be a truly one-of-a-kind accomplishment.

Subsequently, there are now all sorts of debates as to whether or not James can be considered as the GOAT of basketball. After all, he has won four NBA titles, is fourth in all-time assists, ninth in three-pointers made and will have the scoring title. Overall, one would assume this is enough to make you the GOAT. Although, most analysts and fans still believe that the crown goes to Michael Jordan. Ultimately, Jordan played fewer seasons and had a much better career scoring average. No matter what, it is very clear to everyone that these two are some of the best to ever do it.

LeBron Gives Himself Props

As for LeBron himself, it is clear that he thinks highly of what he has done. Since entering the league back in 2003, LeBron had made it clear that he wanted to be the best ever. According to Kyle Goon of the Orange County Register, he has achieved that status. One might find it strange to pronounce yourself the GOAT. However, LeBron has certainly earned the right to do it. “What I bring to the table as a basketball player…I feel like I’m the best basketball player that ever played the game,” LeBron said.

Of course, there are going to be a lot of people out there who straight-up disagree with his assessment of himself. Regardless, every player should believe they are the best ever. That mentality has ultimately gotten James to where he is now. Consequently, he is staring at the scoring record straight in the face. Hopefully, he can get it done this week so that we can see just how incredible the reactions will be. No matter what, it is well deserved.

Skip Bayless Reveals What LeBron Should Have Done

Skip Bayless has always offered some interesting commentary as it pertains to LeBron James. Overall, Bayless is seen as the biggest hater there is when it comes to LeBron. Regardless of what James does out on the court, Bayless never gives him his flowers. Even as LeBron looks to break the scoring record, Bayless is still finding ways to discredit him. Additionally, he has been all over James for his public comments regarding the Kyrie Irving situation. As many of you know, Kyrie Irving was traded this weekend, but not to the Lakers.

Subsequently, LeBron went on ESPN and gave a very interesting interview about the Irving situation. “Well definitely disappointed,” James started. “I can’t sit here and say I’m not disappointed on not being able to land such a talent but someone I had great chemistry with that can help you win championships. But my focus has shifted back to where it should be and that’s this club now.” Many were critical of LeBron for giving this interview, as they felt like James was throwing Russell Westbrook under the bus. However, Skip Bayless actually took a different approach.

Skip Bayless Reacts

In the clip above, Skip hits LeBron with a suggestion that isn’t exactly helpful right now. Overall, it was one of those hindsight pieces of advice that are useless for LeBron as the Kyrie deal has already been done. That said, Bayless claims James should have asked the Lakers to trade him to the Nets for Kyrie in a one-for-one deal. Consequently, James would have the ability to go out and win a title with none other than Kevin Durant. Whether or not the Lakers would have ever made this trade, will never be known.

Moving forward, there is this sense that the Lakers could still get Kyrie in free agency. However, there is no real guarantee of that happening. If Kyrie and Luka Doncic work out this year, then he could decide to return to Dallas. As for Skip Bayless, he will be watching intently. Let us know what you think of Skip’s take, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

LeBron James Speaks At Length About Lakers Losing Out On Kyrie Irving

LeBron James is one of the greatest players of all time. He is just a game or two away from the all-time scoring record, and fans are ready to celebrate him. However, things haven’t been fantastic for James. This is because the Lakers are currently 25-29, which puts them 13th in the Western Conference. LeBron is entering the final stages of his career, and he wants to win an NBA title. Although as constructed, there is no way his Lakers are even close to making something like that happen. Consequently, there has been all sorts of talk about what the Lakers could do at the trade deadline.

Of course, the big name that has been thrown around is Russell Westbrook. The Lakers have been trying to trade him for a very long time. Now, they only have four days to do so, otherwise, they have to keep him for the remainder of the season. Over the weekend, a huge opportunity opened up on the front. This was in the form of Kyrie Irving, whom LeBron has been clamoring for since the summer. Lakers fans were optimistic about getting Kyrie, however, he ended up with the Dallas Mavericks instead.

LeBron James Opens Up

Not soon after the trade, LeBron was interviewed by ESPN, and the video is already making its way to Twitter. As you can see in the clip above, James was very honest about how he feels on this topic. In fact, if you’re Russell Westbrook, you’re probably feeling a way right now. “Well definitely disappointed,” James started. “I can’t sit here and say I’m not disappointed on not being able to land such a talent but someone I had great chemistry with that can help you win championships. But my focus has shifted back to where it should be and that’s this club now.”

Now, LeBron and the Lakers will have to continue on as constructed. While there is still hope to do something at the deadline, there is no one quite like Kyrie available. Needless to say, things just keep on going from bad to worse in Laker-land. Hopefully, for LeBron, something changes soon. Otherwise, it will be yet another season outside of the playoffs.

LeBron James Reveals What Being Famous Has Taken From Him

LeBron James is easily one of the most famous athletes in the world, and for good reason. Overall, he is the second-greatest player in the history of the NBA. However, there are definitely some people out there who would say he is actually the greatest. In fact, this GOAT case is only being bolstered by his chase for the scoring title. He is 36 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for first all-time in career points. It is a spectacular record that some felt would never be broken. Although, James is just a game or two away from breaking it.

When you are someone as massive as LeBron, it is pretty difficult to lead a normal life. No matter where you go or what you do, people are going to comment on it. Additionally, if you go out in public, fans will recognize you right away. This makes it impossible for James to go places like the grocery store. He would never be able to get his errands done in a timely fashion. However, there are certainly positives that come with being famous, and LeBron would be the first person to acknowledge that.

LeBron Speaks

In a recent piece for the New York Times, James spoke at length about his fame and how it affects his life. LeBron had some interesting insight in the interview as he revealed the things he would like to do as a normal person. These things include mundane errands that others take for granted. “I don’t want to say it ever becomes too much, but there are times when I wish I could do normal things,” he said. “I wish I could go to Target sometimes and walk into Starbucks and have my name on the cup just like regular people.”

Overall, LeBron does make some interesting points here. One can just imagine what LeBron must go through every time he leaves his house. Although his fame has appointed him tons of opportunities, it has also led to some massive sacrifices. Be sure to let us know what you think of James’ remarks, in the comments section below. LeBron James Reacts To Kyrie Irving Trade: “Maybe It’s Me”

LeBron James responded to the news that the Brooklyn Nets are sending Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. In a Twitter post, James pondered whether he’s to blame for the Lakers’ inability to acquire the eight-time NBA All-Star.

“Maybe It’s Me,” James tweeted. He and Irving previously played together on the Cleveland Cavaliers. There, the two led the team to its first NBA Finals victory in 2016. He’s been vocal about wanting the Lakers to make a move before the trade deadline in recent days.

“That’s a Rob question,” James said Saturday following the Lakers’ 131-126 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. “You got to see him when y’all get back to L.A. I’ve told y’all a couple weeks, I don’t speak for our front office. My mindset is whatever lineup or whatever group that we have is to make sure we prepare ourselves the best way we can to go out and win. Obviously, that’s a — what’s the word you use — ‘duh’ question when you talk about a player like that.”

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets felt the Mavericks’ deal would better position them to win now. The Lakers are believed to have included Russell Westbrook as well as a series of draft picks in their package. In exchange for Irving, the Nets will receive Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, an unprotected 2029 first-round pick as well as second-round picks in 2027 and 2029.

The Lakers are currently 25-29 on the season, leaving them in 13th place in the Western Conference standings. The trade deadline is Thursday. If the team fails to make a move, they’ll be sticking it out with Russell Westbrook for the rest of the season as they fight for a playoff spot. Check out LeBron James’ recent tweet below.

LeBron James Seemingly Reacts To Kyrie Irving Trade Request

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving used to be great teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Of course, Irving eventually left as he wanted to be the captain of his own squad. However, that didn’t go down as planned. Consequently, Kyrie left the Boston Celtics under dubious circumstances. He subsequently signed with the Brooklyn Nets, and the team hasn’t seen peace since. Instead, there has been a wide variety of drama that has included both Kyrie and Kevin Durant. For Nets fans, it has been hell, with a little hope sprinkled in on top.

Today, Kyrie dropped an absolute bomb on the Nets franchise. After a week of contract negotiations, Irving has requested a trade from the team. Now, the Nets can either deal Irving by next week’s deadline, or they can simply let him walk in free agency. No matter what, this is the worst thing the Nets could have asked for. They will now have to make some massive decisions, all while rival teams circle the waters. In fact, the Lakers and the Mavericks are already perking up, ready with packages to offer.

LeBron Speaks

Now, it appears as though none other than LeBron is weighing in on this drama. Although, it is important to note that he didn’t exactly say any real words about the topic. However, sometimes you can simply interpret things based on their timing, and that is exactly what is happening here. Just moments ago, James took to Twitter where he posted the eye emoji and the crown emoji. As you can imagine, fans immediately felt as if LeBron was commenting on the Kyrie situation. Of course, the Lakers are a team that could use Kyrie, and many have been hoping for that trade since the offseason. For now, however, fans simply have to wait.

Overall, this situation could get very ugly over the coming days. Numerous teams will want to make a deal, and it will be up to the Nets whether to accept. As for Kyrie, he could decide to hold out if he is not traded. Let us know where you want to see Kyrie, in the comments down below. Stephen A. Smith Reveals If LeBron Can Become The GOAT

Over the years, Stephen A. has given his opinion on a whole plethora of topics from around the basketball world. Overall, he knows what he is talking about, even if some fans disagree. Throughout his career, he has been able to talk a whole lot about none other than LeBron James. James is about to hit a huge career milestone, which has ultimately turned him into one of the biggest stories in the sport. Consequently, men like Stephen A. have had to give their opinions on where James ranks amongst the all-time NBA greats.

When you reach a milestone like the all-time scoring record, people are going to herald you. For years, James has been considered a top-two player in NBA history. However, Michael Jordan has continued to stand in his way of NBA supremacy. Even with the scoring title at his fingertips, LeBron is still being seen as second-fiddle to Jordan. While some fans believe this is unfair, others think this is how it should be. After all, Jordan has six titles to his name while LeBron only has four.

Stephen A. Weighs In

On First Take today, Stephen A. was asked whether or not LeBron can do anything to get back into the GOAT conversation. Subsequently, Smith was very firm with his answer. Simply put, he believes that no matter what, Jordan will be the greatest ever. Although, Stephen A. did make sure to note that LeBron is firmly the second-greatest to ever play the sport. Considering how many people have stepped on an NBA court, this is still an amazing honor. However, we’re sure Bron would prefer to be recognized as the best.

In regards to the scoring record, it would appear as though James will be setting the new bar as of next week. This will likely take place on Thursday, against the Milwaukee Bucks. Although, it will be completely up to LeBron’s performances as to whether or not he manages to do it faster. No matter what, this will be one of James’ most impressive records yet. Let us know if you think James can ever be the GOAT, in the comments down below.

Shannon Sharpe Reacts To LeBron’s Scoring Record Comments

Shannon Sharpe has never hidden the fact that he is a huge LeBron James fan. Overall, Sharpe has claimed on numerous occasions that James is the GOAT of basketball. In just a few days from now, Sharpe’s GOAT case for LeBron will be a lot stronger. This is because LeBron is just 63 points away from beating Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. While some call this a longevity record, it must be said that LeBron has played over 100 fewer games than Kareem. Needless to say, LeBron will have taken the record in a more efficient manner.

Throughout this process, LeBron has remained humble about the record. He has noted that it is a very meaningful record, although he isn’t trying to play into the hype. He answers questions when he’s asked, but he won’t go out of his way to comment on it. However, last night, after scoring 26 against the Pacers, James offered some unique insight into the record. As he explained, this is one of the biggest records in sports and in many ways, is like the Home Run record.

Shannon Sharpe Speaks

During this morning’s episode of Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe got to react to this claim. As you can see in the clip above, he mostly agreed with James. However, he did note that the Home Run record is more memorable thanks to the fact that it is a smaller, rounder number. Either way, Sharpe is wholeheartedly impressed that James will break Kareem’s tally. “I didn’t think anyone was going to break Hank Aaron’s record,” Sharpe began. “I think that’s what everyone thought about Kareem’s — nobody was going to play long and consistent enough to get that many points.”

LeBron is on pace to break the record at home against either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the Milwaukee Bucks. Many believe it will come against Milwaukee as that would be a full-circle moment. Kareem played for both the Bucks and the Lakers. This sets up the perfect time for James to break the record, once and for all. Let us know what you think of LeBron breaking the record, in the comments down below.
