Ice Cube’s Lyrics Helped LeBron James Celebrate His NBA All-Time Scoring Record

Ice Cube has an interesting crossover with sports. Last year, he performed at a NASCAR race in Los Angeles. He actually runs his own basketball league called Big3 as well. Now, he’s being quoted by one of the greatest athletes of all time.

LeBron James has been celebrating breaking the NBA’s all-time scoring record last week, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James is still soaking in the historic accomplishment. The Los Angeles Lakers star took to Instagram yesterday (February 14) to share his excitement. In doing so, he used Ice Cube’s “It Was A Good Day” lyrics.

“Last week messed around and got a triple…..” he wrote. “I mean a Scoring Record! Man what!!! This is still not hitting me yet. So surreal!! Wow wow wow man.” (The original Ice Cube lyric is, “Last week, f*cked around and got a triple double.”)

He continued, “To all my fans who captured that moment there inside Crypto Arena that night( YOU’RE AMAZING & THANK YOU) and to all my fans all over the United States and The World( YOU’RE AMAZING & THANK YOU). The journey continues!”

Big3 announced last year that they’d be including Snoop Dogg in their endeavors. “Snoop is always at the cutting edge. He always wanna be first. When we said we was gonna start selling teams, he hit me right away saying, ‘I need to be a part of that,’” they explained in a statement.

LeBron James Gets Some Good News

LeBron James is easily one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA. Just recently, he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for first on the all-time scoring list. Overall, it was a truly incredible record to break, and it will probably be years before anyone else breaks it again. That said, it is clear that LeBron is one of the biggest legends in the history of the NBA. One can only hope that he has a solid end to his career. After all, it would be fitting for all of his accomplishments.

However, this season has been a bit of a struggle for James and the Lakers. On one hand, LeBron has been great individually. Although, the Lakers continue to struggle. Moreover, James has missed the last three games due to a lingering foot problem. This is one of those injuries that could very easily derail the Lakers’ season, and fans have been hoping that not to be the case.

LeBron Coming Back?

Now, LeBron and the Lakers are actually getting some good news. While speaking to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, head coach Darvin Ham said it is very likely that LeBron will be playing tonight. The Lakers are set to take on the New Orleans Pelicans, who are dealing with some injuries of their own. Overall, this will be a huge boost to the Lakers, especially since LeBron averages 30 points per game. Furthermore, it will be his first game with the new players on the Lakers, including D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley.

Moving forward, it will be interesting to see how the Lakers respond. They are in desperate need of a winning streak, especially with the All-Star breaking coming up. If they can’t get that done, then they can ultimately kiss this season goodbye. Let us know what you think of the Lakers, in the comments below. LeBron James Injury Begins To Elicit Real Concern

LeBron James had a huge game with the Los Angeles Lakers last Tuesday. For those who may not remember, LeBron was playing against the Oklahoma City Thunder with the scoring record in mind. Overall, it was a very emotional night for the entire team. However, James came through with an amazing 38-point performance that ultimately gave him the record. This was one of the biggest moments in LeBron’s entire career, and it is a testament to his longevity in the sport.

Unfortunately, Lakers fans have not seen LeBron in the lineup since breaking the record. Immediately after his record-setting night, he decided to sit against Milwaukee. For the most part, fans just thought that he was taking part in some load management. Although, it has become clear that his injury is more than that. In fact, LeBron has officially missed three games in a row, and now, fans are worried about what is going on.

LeBron James Out

According to a report from Marc Stein, LeBron James has actually been dealing with this injury for quite some time. It is even to the point where it is “unbearable” for James on some occasions. “I was told that Tuesday’s game, the record-breaking game, I was told LeBron was severely struggling with that foot injury he has,” Stein wrote. “It’s something that’s been nagging him for a few weeks already, but it gets to point where it just gets unbearable. He plays through it. And people that talked to me said he was really struggling with that foot.”

This is going to be a bit of an issue for the Lakers, moving forward. LeBron has their MVP this season and without him, they probably won’t make the playoffs. Consequently, that will be two years in a row without a postseason appearance for the purple and gold. Let us know what you think of all this, in the comments down below. Shaq Expresses Jealousy Over LeBron’s New Record

Shaq is someone who has had some very strong opinions about the new generation of NBA stars. Even when it comes to LeBron, Shaq hasn’t always been super complimentary. Overall, this has led to some fans labeling O’Neal as a hater of sorts. However, his comments can be chalked up to the fact that he is a competitive person. Additionally, he played in a much tougher era, and that has ultimately clouded his judgment on what guys are doing today. No matter what though he is a legend and people look to him for his takes.

Over the weekend, Shaq got to host his massive Super Bowl party. While there, he had a whole lot of fun. Moreover, he then got to witness an incredible game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. In the end, the Chiefs won the game, much to the delight of the midwest. Meanwhile, the Eagles go home empty-handed much to the chagrin of their insane fanbase. No matter what, it was an amazing weekend.

Shaq Talks LeBron

Extra TV was at the event and they got to speak with the former NBA superstar. When asked what he thought of LeBron’s latest record, Shaq had some very interesting thoughts. Essentially, he admires James for staying humble. This is mostly because Shaq wouldn’t be the same way. “It was a professional jealousy moment. If it was me, I would have been arrogant for 19 seconds,”Shaq said. “I know he is a humble kid, I know he is going to give the answer, ‘I don’t want to be involved in the debate of who the greatest,’ I am jealous of having the conversation… It is nice to be ‘Who’s the greatest? Him, or him?’ Everybody would love to be in that position.”

Overall, it is very clear that Shaq has a lot of respect for what LeBron has accomplished here. It will take decades for anyone to even come close to the record again. Hopefully, LeBron is able to at least enjoy the record for years to come. The only person in the league right now who could break it is Kevin Durant, and even then, it is unlikely that he does it.

LeBron James Hit With Wave Of Boos At Super Bowl

LeBron James has been having a good week. His Lakers made some massive moves at the trade deadline, and now, they are looking to make a playoff push. Additionally, James broke the NBA record for most career points. He surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and now, it is a lot harder to advocate against him in the GOAT debate. When you add all of these things together, one can imagine that James is feeling good about life. After all, he is one of the most powerful athletes in the world, which has to be a nice feeling.

Last night, LeBron found himself at the Super Bowl. This game was played between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Overall, it was a fantastic match. Although, it ended with a Chiefs victory on a last-second field goal. It was a result that many were not expecting as most pundits had the Eagles taking this one. However, Patrick Mahomes had a legacy-defining second half where he was able to win the game on one ankle.

LeBron Gets Less Than A Warm Welcome

As for LeBron, he wasn’t exactly welcomed at the stadium in Arizona. In the clip above, James and his wife were shown on the big screen throughout the stadium. Although, he was immediately hit with a wave of boos. As we already know, James is a very polarizing figure, however, these boos seemed just a tad surprising. This is especially true since it had only been just a few days since his record-breaking night. Regardless, fans at the Super Bowl can be a pretty rowdy bunch, and this was another example of that. Hopefully, LeBron didn’t take it too hard.

Interestingly enough, James had some issues with the ending of the Super Bowl. On Twitter, he called out the officials for their pass interference call that ultimately gave the Chiefs a game-winning first down. While many rules analysts said the call was justified, others felt like it was a cheap way for the Chiefs to win. No matter what, it was a very entertaining game that had us paying attention until the very end.

LeBron James Reveals Why He’s Upset About The Super Bowl

LeBron James was among many fans who attended the Super Bowl last night. Overall, it was an incredible, high-scoring affair that saw the Kansas City Chiefs prevail with a 38-35 win. This was a huge win for Patrick Mahomes, who has now secured his legacy with two Super Bowl victories. If you are a Chiefs fan, you cannot be prouder of how this team played. Although they were down by 10 at the half, they were able to come back with a victory for the ages. This is easily one of the best Super Bowls ever, and it is very hard to deny that. However, we’re sure Philly fans will beg to differ.

One main point of contention throughout the game was the pass interference call near the end of the game. At the time, the Chiefs were driving down the field with just a few minutes left. They were close to the Eagles’ end zone, and the game was on the line. Subsequently, Kansas City was gifted with a first down that ultimately led to them driving the clock down to 8 seconds. Consequently, they kicked a field goal and eventually won the game.

LeBron James Reacts

LeBron James was not a fan of the call whatsoever. In fact, he took to Twitter where he voiced his opinion on the matter. Overall, it is easy to see why he wouldn’t find this call to be very good. It was marginal, and James goes through plenty issues with the officials over in the NBA. “Sorry but I don’t like that call! Not for the Super Bowl man!” he wrote. “His hand on his back had no effect on his route! This game was too damn good for that call to dictate the outcome at the end. Damn! By the way I have no horse in the race. Just my professional opinion.”

James certainly is not the only fan who felt this way about the game. However, there is no going back at this point. Moving forward, the Eagles will just have to live with the loss. Meanwhile, the Chiefs will be celebrating for a very long time. No matter what, their latest title is certainly well-deserved.

Nike LeBron 20 Receives Special Scoring Record Colorway

For LeBron James, the Nike LeBron 20 has been a very special shoe. This is because it is helping to commemorate his 20th season in the NBA. Overall, this has been a very interesting season for him. While the Lakers haven’t been fantastic, James has been able to rack up points. Consequently, he was able to come through with a historic record this past week. Now, LeBron is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. The mark used to be held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, although now, it is held by the Lakers superstar.

James was able to break this incredible record while wearing the Nike LeBron 20. LeBron has a ton of great milestones that were ultimately enhanced by his shoes. One can think of all of the footwear he wore when he won his first titles with the Miami Heat. Now, however, Nike is getting involved to help make LeBron’s latest record that much sweeter. According to Sole Collector, they have teamed up with “The Surgeon” for an incredible new custom LeBron 20.

Nike LeBron 20 x The Surgeon

As you can see in the Instagram post above, the shoe is made of real crocodile leather. Overall, this is a very luxurious material to use and it certainly makes the sneaker look that much cooler. As for the color scheme, we get some white on the top, while the Nike swoosh is gold. Moreover, the gold element here is also made with the crocodile skin. When it comes to the midsole, there are various references to LeBron’s achievements. From his current points record to the days in which he broke various other NBA tallies. Lastly, the shoe has “38,388” written on the outsole which helps bring forth the whole scoring record aesthetic.

Unfortunately for all of you sneakerheads out there, these will never be released to the public. Instead, they will be for LeBron and LeBron only. We wonder if he will ever wear these on the court. Although, they are best suited for a trophy case. Let us know what you think of these, down in the comments below. LeBron James’ “First Game” Nike Air Zoom Generation Set To Return

LeBron is easily one of the two best players in the history of the entire NBA. It is easy to say that now because James just broke the record for most points in NBA history. Overall, this is a truly stunning achievement that needs to be celebrated by everyone. Moreover, it is impossible to diminish anything James has done for the game of basketball. Once you have a record like this, people need to start respecting you as one of the GOATs. Hopefully, fans are now finally getting that message.

As for his sneaker output, there is no doubt that this is also a legendary part of his story. Firstly, LeBron burst onto the scene with the Nike Air Zoom Generation. This was his first signature shoe, however, it didn’t have his name in the nomenclature. Eventually, with the Nike LeBron 2 and subsequent models, his name became more present. Either way, with James breaking the all-time scoring record, there is a ton of nostalgia surrounding him right now. That has consequently led to some retros that are supposedly going to be released, very soon.

LeBron x Nike

LeBron

Among the first retros to be shown off is this “First Game” Nike Air Zoom Generation. Interestingly enough, James did not wear this shoe during his first-ever game in the NBA. Instead, he wore it during his fourth-ever game. However, this game was his first at home with the Cavaliers, so at least there is something consistent here. Firstly, the shoe has a white leather upper. Secondly, we get some red mesh on the sides, with blue interspersed throughout. Overall, it is one of those colorways that just works well. Red, white, and blue are colors that have always paired well, and that will never change.

As it stands, this retro is being slated for a March 21st release date. However, this date is subject to change as we are still over a month away. Having said that, stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the sneaker world. Additionally, let us know what you think of these, down in the comments section below.

Anthony Davis Explains Body Language During LeBron’s Record-Setting Moment

Anthony Davis has been having a bit of a difficult season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, these difficulties mostly have to do with his health status. Davis is constantly going through injury issues, and it has messed with his ability to remain on the floor. However, when he does get on the floor, he has been pretty solid. Regardless, there is quite a bit of frustration within the Lakers locker room at this point, and it is very understandable as to why.

Unfortunately, that frustration seemingly manifested itself at the worst possible moment on Tuesday night. As we all know, LeBron was going for the all-time scoring record. Consequently, LeBron kicked it up a notch and scored 36 points in three quarters, which got him the record. Although, AD didn’t look all that enthusiastic as he was sitting down during James’ record-breaking shot. This became a viral clip on Twitter, and people began to ask themselves questions about Davis’ relationship with James. Yesterday, AD spoke out and answered for himself.

Anthony Davis Speaks

As you can see in the clip above, AD was adamant that he was just upset about the game. Furthermore, he didn’t actually know where LeBron was in relation to the record. Had he of known, he would have reacted with a bit more urgency. “Y’all know me and Bron’s relationship,” Davis said. “It’s nothing. [I was] upset about the game. We were losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder, a game we needed and I was pissed off that we were losing. It’s that simple. It’s nothing that has to do with Bron and he knows that. Everyone else on the outside looking in, that’s their opinion but I was pissed off that we were losing the game.”

Moving forward, AD is going to need to be an MVP-caliber player for the Lakers. The roster has changed dramatically over the last couple of days, and they need some wins in order to make the postseason. LeBron James will also be back in the lineup this weekend, and hopefully, they can put the last week behind them. Let us know what you think of AD’s explanation, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sports world.
