Which is a huge opportunity to avoid the play-in tournament. However, a sixth-seed berth would have the Lakers playing the Sacramento Kings in the first round.

With the bottom of the Western Conference being a tight race, losing is not an option. As the final week of the regular season is here, the Lakers know what is at stake. Looking ahead to see a potential playoff opponent is irrelevant if you’re not in the playoffs. James’ teammate Anthony Davis also understands this. Davis had a monster performance on Sunday. The former number-one overall pick dropped 40 points in the Lakers’ dominating victory over the Rockets. Davis’ performance was exactly what LeBron was hoping to see.

LeBron James Finds Support In Twitter Checkmark Strike

LeBron James isn’t the only star not interested in Twitter Blue. Earlier today, James tweeted that he will not be subscribing to the Twitter Blue service. Meaning that James will no longer have a verified account on the social platform. Many are taking James’ lead on the matter and declining the subscription. Now it seems that James may have some support in his strike against Twitter Blue. That support comes in the form of a few stars from the NFL world.

Patrick Mahomes, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Tyreek Hill all voiced their support for James in a few funny tweets. The reigning Super Bowl champion wanted to know when Twitter was taking away the certification checkmarks. That’s when Valdes-Scantling quote tweeted Mahomes pleading for his followers to jokingly pay for Mahomes’ subscription. Mahomes hilariously answered back that he can’t afford the service due to his kids. Then, Tyreek Hill said that Twitter can keep its checkmark if the service is $8. LeBron James is the latest celebrity to speak on the news of paying for a Twitter checkmark. Since taking over Twitter, Elon Musk has made the decision to charge users to become an official account. While most have been disappointed in the decision. Some have accepted the idea and are paying to make their account official. Evidently, James isn’t one of those people. The Los Angeles Lakers star let his Twitter followers know his intention on the new stipulation.

Like most of Twitter, James will not purchase his blue checkmark. The cost to make your account official is $5 a month. What may seem like a small amount for someone like James, the purchase does seem strange. The draw of social media has always been a place to communicate for free. Twitter, along with the Metaverse, is soon making that a thing of the past. Starting on April 1st, anyone who doesn’t pay for their official checkmark will lose the checkmark symbol.

Now, however, it is being brought out on the market for everyone to see. This is great news for sneakerheads who saw these years ago and fell in love with them. Firstly, as the name suggests, this shoe is covered in a gorgeous shade of purple. Additionally, the materials here are lovely suede that adds texture to the sneaker. From there, we get a blueish midsole which just adds to the purple aesthetic.

As for the release date, nothing has been determined so far. Although, they are expected to come out in the summer for a price of $190 USD.
