Shannon Sharpe Responds To Dillon Brooks’ Latest Comments

Shannon Sharpe has never been one to keep his opinions close to the chest. Shapre’s firey personality has always been of a media personality that wears his heart on his sleeve. One topic that is always going to incite a strong opinion from Sharpe would be LeBron James. Sharpe has long been a supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers star. Including being involved in a dust-up earlier this season with the team, the Lakers are currently playing in the playoffs. The Memphis Grizzlies have been out to prove their successful 2022-23 season isn’t just a one-hit-wonder.

The Grizzlies have a roster full of young talent. However, sometimes that young talent may tend to go overboard. After the team’s Game 2 victory over the Lakers, forward Dillon Brooks had some things to say about James and the Lakers. Brooks didn’t hold back his feelings on the opponent, calling James old. Also, Brooks said he wouldn’t respect James until he dropped 40. James didn’t drop 40, but the Lakers cruised to an easy Game 3 victory over the Grizzlies. Which included seeing Brooks get ejected for hitting James in a private area. After the game, Brooks told the media that he was being portrayed incorrectly by his recent actions. This is where Sharpe has drawn the line.

Shannon Sharpe Believes Brooks Can’t Handle The Heat

On Monday’s edition of Undisputed, Sharpe discussed Brooks’ latest comments. “Dillon Brooks talking about he doesn’t want the villain role, but you EMBRACE it when you win!” The NFL Hall-of-Famer doesn’t believe Brooks can handle what he dishes out when the Grizzlies are on the losing end. The lead-up to Game 3 had everyone in the league buzzing. The day before the matchup, James kept his comments short and sweet with the media. James explained that the time for talk was over and that the game would be a good one. But it may not be a good one for Grizzlies fans.

The Lakers answered the bell with their performance in Game 3. Brooks became a popular meme over the weekend with his visible frustrations on the bench. Including his reactions after being ejected. It seems that the “old” comments have been put to bed. As for Sharpe, he believes that it’s time for Brooks to embrace the villain role. Do you agree with Shannon Sharpe’s comments on Brooks? LeBron James Celebrates Latest Lakers Win In Style

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers weren’t looking too great earlier in the season. Overall, much of the team’s problems had to do with a lack of chemistry. For instance, Russell Westbrook didn’t mesh well with the rest of the team. Although he is now thriving with the Clippers, it is clear that his role with the Lakers didn’t make much sense for him. However, the Lakers are now rolling with their new team. They finished the regular season with the best record since after the All-Star game. Moreover, they are playing the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round and are up 2-1.

The game that gave the Lakers the series lead took place on Saturday. This was just a few days after Dillon Brooks had called LeBron James old, and essentially questioned his skills. On the night of the game, James had a chat with Brooks, and eventually, LeBron got the best of him. Consequently, LeBron and the Lakers are feeling very good about themselves. Game 4 is going to go down in Los Angeles, and there is a very good chance this team winds up heading back to Memphis up 3-1.

LeBron James Is In His Element

Following the game, James took to Instagram with a couple of posts. In the video up above, we simply see some edited footage of LeBron James from the most recent game. “Scratch that you’re in the presence of a… CROWN CROWN CROWN,” he wrote. Needless to say, he is reiterating the fact that he is the King of the NBA. Overall, he has yet to be dethroned, regardless of how some of the young guys try to treat him. Additionally, he posted his pre-game outfit, which certainly turned a few heads.

The road to the NBA Finals will be difficult for the Lakers. If they beat Memphis, they will have to play either the Warriors or the Kings. Both of these teams are extremely talented. However, the Lakers certainly have the pieces to dismantle both, should it all come down to that. Let us know how you think the Lakers will do, in the comments section below.

LeBron James Discusses Dillon Brooks Beef: “It’s Literally Easy”

LeBron James discussed his ongoing beef with Dillon Brooks after the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 3 on Saturday night. In doing so, he remarked that opponents trying to rattle him during a playoff series is nothing new. The remarks come ahead of Game 4 of the series which is scheduled for Sunday night.

Addressing reporters, James commented on a pregame conversation that he had with Brooks. “It wasn’t private because everybody caught it,” James said. “Everybody saw it. There wasn’t anything private about it. It was very, very public. I like it that way. [The Grizzlies] know what they have to do. I know what I have to do. This is not my first rodeo. I had this throughout my career with certain individuals. It’s easy. It’s literally easy.” From there, he checked himself before going further saying, “I don’t want to start this.”

At the end of the day, my focus is to my teammates and us trying to figure out how to beat the Memphis Grizzlies.” As for what James said specifically, Brooks remarked, “He just told me his birthday.”

During Game 3, Brooks was ejected early in the third quarter for striking James in the groin. Refs handed him a flagrant 2 for the move. Brooks admitted that he wanted to poke the bear during an interview after the Grizzlies’ Game 2 win. “I don’t care– he’s old. You know what I mean?” Brooks said. “I was waiting for that. I was expecting him to do that Game 4, Game 5. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. He should have been saying that earlier on. But I poke bears. I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40.”

Lakers forward Rui Hachimura, whose been had a key role for the Lakers thus far in the series, also responded to Brooks’ behavior on Friday. “I heard about it,” Hachimura said. “I’m not really into social media, but I heard about it. Honestly, that’s all they can do. They’re a young team. They just want to talk. We just don’t really care. We’re going to play our game and we’re trying to win the games.”

If the Lakers can pull out the win on Saturday night, they’ll advance to 2-1 in the series with Game 4 scheduled for Sunday in Los Angeles. If successful then, their earliest chance to close out round one would be Game 5 on Wednesday in Memphis.

Gilbert Arenas’ Hot Take On MJ & LeBron Debate

Gilbert Arenas has been making waves recently with his comments on the current NBA product. Recently, Arenas proposed the idea of the NBA playoff format moving to a winner keeps home-court advantage. An interesting thought that the NBA will more likely never discuss. However, the idea would make the meaning of each game that more important. Now Arenas is getting into the most toxic debate in all of sports. That debate being who the greatest basketball player of all time is.

The two names that are brought up more often than not in this debate are Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Whatever side of the aisle that a fan stands on during this debate, they wave their flag passionately for the player they choose. Now Arenas is adding another wrinkle to the debate. The former Wizards star recently mentioned that Jordan wouldn’t be as successful as James has been in this era. “When we’re talking about Ja Morant and the silly sh!t he’s doing, and that’s tarnishing his legacy…You take MJ’s personality, the gambling, all that..F*CK NO”

Gilbert Arenas Believes MJ Couldn’t Last In The Public Eye In This Era

It does seem like Jordan would have a harder time in this era with his personality. With social media posts of every waking moment of everyone’s lives, it would be hard for anyone to live a secret life. One of the biggest proponents of Jordan’s legacy is that he was somewhat mysterious in the 90s. Players’ lives were not followed nearly as closely as they are now. Which is why so many current players have so much respect for James. James has been in the public eye for over two decades, and fans have yet to witness the NBA star be caught in a scandal.

So, Gilbert Arenas’ argument isn’t about the play on the court. However, the way a player carries themselves off the court is just as important in today’s game. But that might be something that James could be a little jealous that Jordan didn’t have to deal with as much. Whatever the case may be, both players have earned their right to be a part of the greatest of all-time discussion. Now it’s time we see your side of the debate. Are you team LeBron or team MJ? Let us know in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

LeBron James Comments On Grizzlies Trash Talk

LeBron James has been at the forefront of the trash talk between the Lakers and Grizzlies. Thanks to Memphis forward Dillon Brooks. After Game 2, Brooks called James old and that he doesn’t really respect the player James is now. Those comments have set everyone’s hair on fire. As the media and fans have been discussing how James will respond in Game 3. On Friday, James was asked by the media if trash-talk ever becomes more than what it is during a game. James’ had a short response.

“The game is won in between the four lines. Always has. Always will be.” James was seemingly all business during his answer. However, one has to believe that James has Brooks’ comments running in the back of his mind. Maybe that has been the plan all along from Brooks. To push James past his limits. Yes, James is still very much a strong force for the Lakers. However, the NBA legend may take a little longer to rest as he edges closer to being 40.

LeBron James Looks Over Trash-Talk

The Lakers dropped a golden opportunity in going up 2-0 in the series against Memphis. The Grizzlies were without Ja Morant for the game. The Memphis superstar injured his hand during Game 1. However, Morant’s availability still hasn’t been announced for the Game 3 contest. But the Lakers can’t worry about the health of the Grizzlies. Los Angeles needs to take care of their own team. Including the recent weak performance from Lakers big man Anthony Davis.

Davis was abysmal in Game 2 for the Lakers. The former number-one overall pick only recorded 13 points in the ugly loss. James will need Davis back to being his old self in order for the team to pass the tough test that the Grizzlies are. However, Brooks’ trash talk may be just what James and the Lakers desperately needed. Do you think that trash talk can control the game? Or do you believe LeBron James, in that trash talk doesn’t dictate anything? Let us know what you think in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here at HNHH.

Tyreek Hill Questions Elon Musk’s Method Of Twitter Blue

Tyreek Hill is just as confused as the rest of us when it comes to Twitter Blue. On Thursday, Twitter rolled out its newest verification system. However, the most significant talking point was many losing their check mark. In order to keep your verification on the site, users must pay a monthly fee. Many athletes and celebrities have long expressed their displeasure with Twitter’s decision to roll out the new verification system. One of the biggest names that were against the idea of Twitter Blue was LeBron James. However, on Thursday morning, it seemed that the Lakers star had decided to pay for the service. But that isn’t the case.

Twitter owner Elon Musk stated on Twitter that he is footing the bill for James’ Twitter Blue verification. Along with paying for other celebrities and athletes. Musk’s announcement confused many in the Twitter world. Including athletes like Hill. Hill tweeted Friday his question of wondering why Musk could pay for James’ verification but not Patrick Mahomes. Not shortly after that tweet, Hill sent out another tweet saying that his tweet on Mahomes was probably going to be interpreted incorrectly. Check out Hill’s tweets below.

Tyreek Hill Having Fun With Twitter

Obviously, James and Mahomes are two of the biggest sports stars in North America. However, one has to wonder how Musk decided on which accounts to pay for. Recently, Mahomes and Hill were having a little fun with the Twitter Blue subscription plan. The former teammates shared a quick back-and-forth on Twitter, giving reasons as to why they couldn’t pay for the subscription. It appears that Mahomes nor Hill are forking up the monthly 8 dollars to remain verified.

Twitter Blue seems to still be in its infant stages. However, it has already made a difference in the way users approach their time on the site. Without verification, there is fear that more fake accounts will be created, causing mass confusion among those on the site. Twitter has made many big changes since Musk purchased the company. However, Twitter Blue looks to be the biggest change yet. Tyreek Hill is just one of many athletes that are refusing to keep their verification. This has many wondering if Twitter Blue will actually be successful. For the latest sports news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Elon Musk Claims To Be Paying LeBron James’ Twitter Verification

LeBron James was very vocal about not paying for his verification through Twitter Blue. Which is why it was such a shock to his followers when it seemed that James had purchased the subscription. However, it now seems that someone else may be footing the bill. Twitter CEO Elon Musk claims that he is paying for James’ account to stay verified. According to Musk, he is personally paying for a few accounts on the social network.

Twitter unveiled its Twitter Blue subscription service on Thursday. When it was announced, many well-known celebrities and athletes were against the idea of paying for verification. James was one of the louder voices against making the move. James had tweeted that he would lose his check mark whenever the site finally rolled out the subscription service for all. But now it seems Musk could be paying for some of the most significant followed pages to keep their verification. One has to wonder if the larger accounts are keeping their verification by Musk. Keeping the largest accounts makes good business sense.

LeBron James Not Paying For Twitter Blue

Obviously, James is one of the most well-known athletes in North America. James’ Twitter account has over 52 million followers. There have been worries among followers that unverified accounts could start a swell of fake verified accounts impersonating others. Many believe the move will lead to more fake news and more impersonations that would negatively affect the person being impersonated. However, Twitter is moving forward with the subscription service.

Musk is looking to make more revenue after his purchase of Twitter. Even the Metaverse is following in the footsteps of Musk. It has been rumored that soon Facebook and Instagram will ask users to pay for their verification on their sites. Do you feel that it is a good idea to ask users to pay for their verification on social media sites? Is it fair that those like LeBron James are having their verification paid for? Sound off with your thoughts on Twitter’s latest move in our comment section. For the latest news in sports, keep it locked in right here with HNHH.

Kendrick Perkins Warns Dillon Brooks

Kendrick Perkins is the latest media personality to weigh in on Dillon Brooks’ recent comments about LeBron James. After Wednesday night’s victory over the Lakers, Brooks had some strong words for James. The Grizzlies forward claims that he isn’t worried about LeBron during the team’s playoff series. Including calling the Lakers superstar old. Brooks’ comments have sent a tidal wave over the sports media landscape. It is not often someone calls out a player of James’ caliber in this fashion. Perkins believes Brooks might have bitten off more than he can chew.

On Thursday’s edition of NBA on ESPN, Perkins doesn’t believe Brooks is ready for the beast that he has awakened. “That bear is coming; that bear is LeBron James. … He didn’t poke the bear, he poured honey on himself.” James hasn’t played like an older man during the series. Even in the Game 2 loss, James dropped 28 points and secured 12 rebounds. Those numbers were good enough to lead the team in both categories. However, it now seems like a different LeBron will welcome the Grizzlies to Los Angeles.

Kendrick Perkins Expects Big LeBron Performance

The win by the Grizzlies on Wednesday evened up the series with the Lakers. Now the Lakers will have plenty of bulletin board material heading into Game 3. The Grizzlies were without star guard Ja Morant in the Game 2 matchup. Which made it all the more surprising that the Grizzlies overcame the Lakers. However, Morant’s availability has yet to be known for the team’s Game 3 showdown. James is in his 20th season in the NBA. But it still looks like he hasn’t lost a step.

Many in the media were high on the Lakers before the series even began. Perkins knows just how dangerous James can be on the court. Now Perkins, like everyone else, is expecting to see a side of James that doesn’t get shown often. Brooks stated when James drops 40; then he will show him respect. Well, Brooks may get his wish. Do you agree with Kendrick Perkins that James will come out guns blazing in Game 3? Or will James stick to the script and beat the Grizzlies in a different way? Let us know your thoughts on the situation in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.
