Young Thug Awarded $1.6 Million In China Knock-Offs Lawsuit

Young Thug secures a big win after a three-long RICO battle that landed him banished from Metro Atlanta and 15 years probation. Thug was awarded $1.6 million against 22 businesses, the majority in China, for selling “knock-off” versions of his popular Sp5der clothing brand. Each business in the lawsuit is liable for $75,000 in payment. Information about the lawsuit(s) is scarce outside of the ruling.

The Sp5der clothing brand received huge popularity during Thug’s RICO trial. The rap star frequently wore items from the brand that eventually went viral. Drake, Lil Baby, and Mariah The Scientist were among the many celebrities who supported the clothing brand during the trial. Young Thug accepted a plea deal and pled guilty to charges in October.

Dame Dash Warns Jay-Z That White Media Has Turned On Him Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Dame Dash previously expressed his shock at not just the sexual assault allegations against Jay-Z, but at the fact that he responded to them at all. During a new interview with The Art Of Dialogue, he expanded on these feelings by positing that white media is now launching a lot of backlash Hov’s way for basically the first time ever. Dame compared this situation to allegations against himself, for which he didn’t receive the same level of criticism as Jay. Of course, the fame levels are different. He hopes that nothing abhorrent actually happened, but he suggested that this is first time that white media and big industry powers did not give the Roc Nation mogul “a pass.”

“Like, he can control Black media ’cause a lot of them either work or do business with him,” Dame Dash remarked about Jay-Z. “But, like, you know, Drink Champs can’t get him out of this one, and neither can Charlamagne. ‘Cause those are the guys that hold him down no matter what he does anyway. So he got to get to People magazine and Entertainment Tonight right now, ’cause they on his head. But the question is why. Like, why now?”

Dame Dash Speaks On Jay-Z’s Sexual Assault Allegations

Furthermore, Dame Dash said that Jay-Z could just treat the case as ridiculous, so he doesn’t understand why white media is supposedly bringing the hammer down so heavily. As for the Brooklyn rap icon’s statement on the matter, he thinks that he needs to be open, say his side of the story, and answer questions consistently rather than allow his attorney Alex Spiro to handle things. For example, Dame thought that Spiro’s assessment of Jay’s public relationship with Diddy would bring a lot of backlash, and it did.

Meanwhile, as Dame Dash and many others offer their takes on these scandals, Jay-Z and his accuser’s lawyer Tony Buzbee continue to engage in a war of words and legal accusations. The most recent development in this area is Buzbee’s response to Jay’s request to impose sanctions on the attorney for allegedly filing a false claim. But we still don’t have any tangible or important legal developments to talk about when it comes to this case’s future.

Diddy Sued For Allegedly Assaulting Woman At NYC Charity Event

It’s no secret that Diddy is currently wrapped up in his fair share of legal trouble. In September, the mogul was arrested and hit with charges related to alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. He remains behind bars awaiting his trial, which is expected to begin in May of 2025. On top of that, he’s also facing various lawsuits from individuals who accuse him of sexual assault, abuse, and more. It doesn’t look like these are slowing down either, as yesterday, his long list of disturbing allegations grew.

According to TMZ, an anonymous woman sued Diddy for allegedly sexually assaulting her at a charity basketball event at the City College of New York in 1991. Diddy, who was not famous at the time, reportedly sponsored the event. The woman alleges that an unnamed rapper invited her and a friend to attend. Upon arriving, she claims they were able to convince a security guard to let them in early.

Diddy’s Team Denies New Allegations On His Behalf

When they got in, the woman alleges that they were led to Diddy’s makeshift dressing room near the gym locker rooms, and asked him for help finding the rapper who invited them. Unfortunately, this is where things allegedly took a turn for the worse. Allegedly, Diddy handed the woman a cup that he said contained Coca-Cola, which she drank and became woozy. He then allegedly sexually assaulted her, and when she threatened to tell her rapper friend, he allegedly warned her not to because “people can come up missing.”

Diddy’s legal team has denied these allegations on his behalf. “As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every new publicity stunt, even in response to claims that are facially ridiculous or demonstrably false,” they told TMZ. “Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor.”

Diddy’s Lawyer Issues Statement Following New Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Diddy has spent the last few months warding off sexual assault lawsuits from alleged victims. He has denied all of the allegations that have been leveled at him, and continued to do so on December 20. The Bad Boy mogul was sued over an alleged assault that took place in 2006. Diddy’s legal team has made it very clear that his client is innocent. Lawyer Marc Agnifilo issued a statement within hours of the lawsuit being made public. He believes Diddy is being unfairly targeted by the accuser.

The accuser in question, LaTroya Grayson, claims she won a radio contest to spend the day with Diddy. She claims that she was drugged and raped by the mogul during said day. Grayson added that she was 23 years old at the time the alleged assault took place. Diddy’s legal team does not believe Grayson’s account for a second, however. Agnifilo issued a collective statement asserting his client’s innocence. “Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone or engaged in sex trafficking,” he stated. “Grayson admits she has no memory of the events alleged in her complaint, does not know who was supposedly involved, and has never spoken to Mr. Combs.”

Diddy’s legal team went on to posit that LaTroya Grayson’s allegations are “fiction,” much in the way that they have posed his other allegations. “Her allegations against him are pure fiction,” they explained. “As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab.” Agnifilo then included an assertion they have tacked on to several of Diddy’s denial statements. “He has faith in the judicial process,” he added. “In which fact will be separated from opportunistic fabrications like these.”

Diddy has continued to make headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2024. The Bad Boy founder’s thin appearance became a talking point on December 18. Law & Crime Network claimed that he appeared significantly thinner in court. It was later determined to be a result of Diddy refusing prison meals on a regular basis. “Maybe being locked up in detention is starting to wear on him,” the outlet reported. “He appeared grayer a little bit, too.” Diddy’s trial is due to begin on May 5, 2025.

Jay-Z Slams Tony Buzbee After Attorney Accuses Roc Nation & Diddy Of Being Behind STI Allegations

Recently, Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee was hit with a lawsuit from an anonymous woman, who accuses him of giving her a sexually transmitted infection while they were in a romantic relationship. She alleges that he failed to disclose his condition before initiating sexual contact and that she began experiencing symptoms shortly after. Allegedly, he apologized when she confronted him about it later and asked her to keep the situation under wraps in exchange for free legal assistance. Buzbee is currently representing the woman suing Diddy and Jay-Z for alleged sexual assault. His latest legal woes prompted a quick response from Roc Nation.

Yesterday, Buzbee took to Instagram to deny the allegations, alleging that Roc Nation and Diddy are behind them. “The smear campaign continues. Today I was sued yet again by a lawyer affiliated with the same lawyers I face in the Diddy litigation. The conspiracy to discredit me and intimidate me from pursing claims in the Diddy litigation has at this point, become criminal,” he alleged in part. “It now seems that every other day there is another false claim filed, all of which are being ginned up by individuals working on behalf of or in concert with those ROC Nation and Diddy interests.”

Jay-Z Calls Tony Buzbee “Shameful”

Roc Nation wasted no time firing back in a statement of its own, shared on Instagram just hours after Buzbee’s. “Mr. 1800 said today that Roc Nation is criminally responsible for his legal woes with ex-clients/ex-lover who is accusing him of transmitting venereal diseases, assaulting, falsifying documents, and stealing client monies. No and no,” it reads.

“God is behind that sunlight you keep referencing,” it continues. “We are not the source of every sunlight that you get but ROC sunshine is coming your way Mr. 1800. Shameful.” As for Jay-Z and Diddy, they’ve also vehemently denied the allegations made against them in recent weeks.

Tony Buzbee Sued For Allegedly Giving Woman A Venereal Disease Amid Diddy & Jay-Z Drama

As if the fallout from his explosive prosecution of Diddy and Jay-Z wasn’t enough to deal with, Tony Buzbee has another lawsuit against him on his hands. But this one doesn’t relate to that alleged sexual assault and trafficking scandal. Rather, it’s about an anonymous female accuser who claimed to the New York Supreme Court that Buzbee gave her a sexually transmitted infection while they were dating. The Jane Doe also accused him of coercing her since 2018 following an online interaction. They allegedly met in Houston for dinner and a show. Then, the plaintiff claims, they had sexual relations at a hotel room, but the lawyer did not disclose his alleged venereal disease.

Furthermore, the Jane Doe claims that she left the hotel the next day and began to feel “uncomfortable sensations around her groin.” Following an alleged test from a doctor, the medical professional supposedly confirmed that Tony Buzbee gave her an STI. The woman also alleged that she contacted him about this news, but that he wasn’t surprised since he already knew of his condition. Jay-Z and Diddy’s accuser’s attorney allegedly asked the woman to not tell anyone about her diagnosis and offered free legal advice as retribution.

Despite the Jane Doe’s reservations, she allegedly continued to see Tony Buzbee, who she claims took advantage of her to prevent any revelations through trips to Panama and New York City. Not only that, but the woman also filed a complaint last month alleging that he acted out against her during one of their NYC outings. She also claims to have medical and dental records confirming her injuries, including a chipped tooth.

As for Tony Buzbee’s response to all this, he reportedly claimed to TMZ that this woman’s lawsuit is a ploy to get him to halt his prosecution of Diddy and others. He predicts a swift dismissal and also supposedly took legal action against the plaintiff and their lawyer. Of course, this response might sound familiar, as it’s kind of what Jay-Z said of Buzbee and his client’s accusations against him. So even completely unrelated narratives are falling into this celebrity scandal…

Lizzo Breaks Silence On Dismissal Of Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

Lizzo recently reflected on facing bombshell sexual harassment lawsuits from her dancers and her former stylist during an appearance on the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast. The latter case has since been dismissed with a judge in California ruling against the stylist, Asha Daniels. Daniels is still in the process of taking legal action against Lizzo’s touring and payroll companies, however.

“I was literally living in my dream, and then the tour ended, and three ex-dancers just completely, like, blindsided me with a lawsuit,” Lizzo told Palmer. “I was very deeply hurt because these were three ex-dancers, so they weren’t on the tour. They didn’t, like, finish the tour out with us. But even regardless of that, these were people that I gave opportunities to. These were people that — I liked them and appreciated them as dancers, respected them as dancers. So I was like, what? But then I heard all the other things like sexual harassment, and I was like, they’re trying well, I don’t know what they’re trying to do, but these are the types of things that the media can turn into something that it’s not.”

Lizzo added that she has no regrets about the situation. “Let’s be clear, I did nothing wrong,” she argued. She said that the sexual harassment allegations, which she described as “silly,” offended her the most. The dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, filed their lawsuit against Lizzo back in August 2023. They accused her of alleged sexual, religious, and racial harassment, as well as disability discrimination, assault, and false imprisonment. One of the dancers made headlines for alleging that Lizzo pressured them into touching naked dancers in Amsterdam’s iconic Red Light District.

Lizzo Speaks Out On Previous Lawsuit Against Her

Elsewhere in the interview, Lizzo confirmed that she’s already back at work on new music. “A lot of the music is me talking things through,” she said. “I remembered my purpose… I’m putting everything in my art.” Check out Lizzo’s full comments on the lawsuit below.

Boosie Badazz Admits He Doesn’t Want Yung Bleu Feud To Be Part Of His Legacy

Boosie Badazz and Yung Bleu have been wrapped up in a legal dispute for some time now. Unfortunately, according to the Louisiana rapper, it may not be coming to an end any time soon. During a recent interview with VladTV, Boosie opened up about the current state of things, admitting that the battle has been exhausting. “I know he tired, I know I’m tired,” he began. “I just want Bleu to tell the motherf*ckin’ man ‘Let’s get past this sh*t, man, give this motherf*cker some money. Give Boosie a** some money, man.’”

Boosie continued, revealing that while he’s ready to finally see their dispute come to a close, he’s unwilling to let Bleu’s alleged actions slide. Boosie accuses him of forging his name on a contract worth millions of dollars. He plans to continue fighting for what he believes he’s owed but says he’s not allowing the situation to consume him. “I have a legacy I’m trying to withhold and gonna withhold it,” he explained. “I don’t want that to be part of my legacy, fighting my artist Yung Bleu and my brother for money.”

Boosie Badazz On Not Letting Yung Bleu Feud Overcome Him

“And I hope they should feel the same way,” he continued. “I wouldn’t want that part of my legacy neither. But when you know the situation and how it was done and me not know, it shouldn’t be that hard as men for… And we’re dealing with people with multi-millions. You’ve got Empire on this suit, we’ve got all these people… It’s nothing to say ‘Aye man, give Boosie that money man I’ll give you ten songs.’”

This isn’t the first time Boosie has expressed how much he wants to end his legal battle with Yung Bleu, however. Back in April, he took to X to encourage Yung Bleu to finish things once and for all. “Can you holla at @empire n yall get together n pay me my money n get this over with,” he wrote. “They want us to keep having to go to court my n***a. They putting u deeper n the whole by paying for your attorney fees.”

Jay-Z Faces Paternity Test Lawsuit As Legal Woes Continue

Jay-Z is facing another lawsuit, this time from Rymir Satterthwaite, who alleges to be the 31-year-old “illegitimate son” of the legendary rapper. According to MailOnline, Rymir lists “Satterthwaite, his late mother Wanda, and his guardian Dr. Lillie Coley” as plaintiffs in the case. Rymir claims Jay acted fraudulently during prior paternity tests. In turn, he argues the plaintiffs’ legal “rights were violated through fraudulent court actions,” including “sealed records, wrongful sanctions, and obstruction of their legal proceedings.”

Before Rymir’s mother’s death in 2019, she alleged to have had a sexual relationship with Jay-Z back in 1992 when she was 16 and he was 22. When she initially attempted to make Jay get a paternity test, a Pennsylvania court shot the demand down, noting that her son was already over 18 years old at the time. According to state law, she would have had to establish paternity before then.

The paternity drama is far from the only legal trouble Jay is facing right now. A woman recently amended a previous lawsuit she filed against Diddy to accuse Jay of also allegedly raping her at a party in 2000. She was just 13 years old at the time. Both artists have already denied the allegation.

Additionally, the attorney in that case, Tony Buzbee, has filed a new lawsuit against Jay’s company, Roc Nation. He accuses the company of violating “various state laws,” including “barratry and impersonation of a public official.” He announced the move in a statement on Wednesday, writing: “LET ME BE CLEAR: we will not be bullied or intimidated. The Defendants this time overstepped, got sloppy, and stupidly got caught at their illegal scheme on tape. We have reported this conduct to the authorities, and intend to cooperate with the authorities to ensure all involved are prosecuted to the full extent allowed under Texas law.” Be on the lookout for further updates on HotNewHipHop.

Tony Buzbee Sues Jay-Z’s Roc Nation For Alleged Illegal Solicitation Of Clients

Tony Buzbee and his law firm have filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. He accuses them of allegedly illegally soliciting clients to take legal against him. In an announcement, Buzbee alleged that the company violated “various state laws,” including “barratry and impersonation of a public official.” The lawsuit comes as Buzbee is also representing a woman accusing Jay and Diddy of allegedly raping her in 2000. She was just 13 years old at the time. Both artists have already vehemently denied the allegation.

Buzbee writes in his statement: “The case was brought on behalf of a former client of the firm who was illegally solicited by agents working on behalf of the Defendants. These agents pretended to working for the State of Texas and offered the former client money to sue the Buzbee Law Firm. This illegal conduct has happened more than two dozen times to date and has resulted in two utterly frivolous cases against the firm. The lawsuit filed today alleges that the Defendants’ conspiracy is intended to obstruct justice and prevent the Buzbee Law Firm from pursuing cases related to the Diddy litigation in New York. The conduct isn’t just alleged—it was caught on tape.”
