Kendrick Perkins Reveals His Vote For MVP

Kendrick Perkins is someone who is known on television for being extremely vocal about his opinions. Overall, that is the name of the game, especially since he is a voice on platforms like First Take. In order to keep up with Stephen A. Smith, you have to remain engaging when speaking on the latest sports topics. Although Perkins can be disagreeable at times, he is certainly fun to listen to. You never know what he might say or claim about another player. Just look at how he talked about MVP candidate Nikola Jokic.

Speaking of the MVP, the race for the award is heating up as the last week of the NBA season is upon us. Jokic could become the first three-peat winner since Larry Bird. Moreover, guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid are also having MVP-worthy seasons. At this point, there are a ton of different players who could win it. However, it is all going to depend on the voters. Sometimes, NBA media can be spiteful in their decisions, and it leads to a winner who may or may not actually deserve it.

Kendrick Perkins Speaks

On the latest episode of First Take, Kendrick Perkins spoke about the MVP race and who he is looking to vote for. Overall, it seems as though Perkins has narrowed his decision down to one person. Of the three we mentioned previously, Perkina would rather vote for the guy with a title under his belt. “The best player in the league, on the best team, averaging a career-high in points, third in rebounding, Giannis is getting my vote for MVP,” Perkins explained. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a great choice and it is certainly deserved. His season has been fantastic, although quiet. Sometimes, that is the perfect combination.

Kendrick Perkins’ choice is definitely a valid one. Although it remains to be seen whether or not the rest of the voters will agree with him. Let us know if you think Perkins is valid for this take, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world. Kendrick Perkins Takes Shot At Charles Barkley

Kendrick Perkins has never been a stranger to making a headline. Perkins is well known for his outspoken personality. However, on today’s edition of ESPN’s First Take, Perkins went after another outspoken media member. Perkins called out Charles Barkley for his recent comments on the legacy of Kevin Durant. Durant has recently mentioned that his legacy doesn’t matter to him. However, Durant has had issues with Barkley in the past for statements he has made.

When talking about Durant’s legacy, Perkins mentioned “ringless” former players disrespecting champions. Perkins went on to further name-drop the former players he was speaking on. Barkley has long discussed his disdain for players building super teams. Obviously, when talking on that subject, Barkley mentions Durant. The Phoenix star has been the topic of super teams, with his tenure in Golden State and Brooklyn. Just how far did Perkins go when discussing Durant’s legacy? Check out the video below.

Kendrick Perkins Has Had Enough Of Barkley’s Disrespect

Durant has mentioned in recent interviews how whatever decisions he makes never pleases the fans. However, joining super teams is never a good way to state your case. But Kendrick Perkins is on Durant’s side. The former Boston Celtic believes those without rings don’t feel the pressure of a champion. The conversation wasn’t pointed solely at Barkley. However, Perkins was sure to give him some shine during the conversation. A conversation between these two would make for must-see television.

Conversations about a player’s legacy are important to fans and the media. Contrarily they shouldn’t be happening until the said player has retired. Durant’s legacy is not finished. It seems difficult for someone to speak on a legacy while a career is still in progress. One thing is for sure, Barkley will have no issue with answering Perkins’ statement. What are your thoughts on Perkins; statement? Should ringless players sit out of the conversations? Or do any Hall-of-Famers have the right to speak on the game? Let us know in the comment section below what your thoughts are. To stay up to date with the latest sports news, stay locked in with HNHH.

Kendrick Perkins Delivers Reality Check To The Warriors

Kendrick Perkins is one of the more polarizing figures on sports talk television. Overall, he was making headlines for all of the wrong reasons last week. This was due to the fact that he said that Nikola Jokic is a stat-padder. Moreover, he insinuated that the MVP voters are racist. This eventually led to a callout from JJ Redick that went viral. Needless to say, not everyone respects Perkins’ opinion. However, he is someone who can make for great ratings at ESPN, and that is why he remains employed.

With the playoffs on the horizon, there are now plenty of hot takes floating around. This is especially true as it pertains to the Western Conference. There are plenty of teams that could contend, and First Take is trying to figure it all out. For instance, today, Stephen A. Smith and Perkins had a debate about the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, they were trying to decipher which team has the best chance at going far in the playoffs.

Kendrick Perkins Speaks

Ultimately, Perkins came through with some love for the Los Angeles Lakers. Of course, he typically does this because LeBron is on the team. Over the years, Perkins has been incredibly biased toward LeBron, and today was no exception. Consequently, Kendrick Perkins even tried to hit the Warriors with a reality check. Simply put, he thinks their time in the spotlight is officially over. “The Golden State Warriors, their championship days are OVER!” Perkins explained. However, this is a team that always finds a way to win, so perhaps Perkins is getting too far ahead of himself right now.

Overall, the Warriors are sixth in the West. Meanwhile, the Lakers are in 10th. Despite this, there are only about two wins separating these two teams right now. It just goes to show that the Western Conference is incredibly open this season. Whether or not the Lakers or the Warriors go further than one another, still remains to be seen. Let us know if you think Perkins is right, down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from the sports world.

JJ Redick & Kendrick Perkins Get Into Heated Exchange Over Racial Bias And MVP Voting: Watch

JJ Redick has become a massive rising star on ESPN. Overall, it is his appearances on First Take that have ultimately allotted him quite a bit of stardom. Moreover, he has his very own podcast which is also very successful. At this point, Redick has become an authority figure when it comes to all things basketball. He takes a measured approach to his analysis of the game, and fans appreciate him for it. Although, this doesn’t always fit in with the hot takes and narratives that shows like “First Take” try to push on a daily basis.

For instance, one debate being had on First Take has to do with MVP voting. Kendrick Perkins has specifically been upset with how people are talking about Nikola Jokic. In fact, Perkins believes that Jokic is stat-padding. This subsequently led to a response from Redick that called Perkins’ knowledge of the game into question. Today, things got even more heated as Perkins insinuated that the MVP voters have a racial bias and want a European like Jokic to win for a third year in a row.

JJ Redick Vs. Kendrick Perkins

This ultimately led to a very heated exchange in which Redick was about to lose his mind. As you can see above, Redick started about by explaining what he believes is wrong with First Take. Consequently, Stephen A. Smith had a bit of a stunned expression on his face. From there, he accused Perkins of calling MVP voters “racist.” Subsequently, Perkins denied ever doing so, although Redick remained persistent on the matter. Eventually, Smith had to do some moderation of his own, telling both men to speak one at a time.

It was perhaps the most explosive segment Redick has been a part of since joining First Take. In fact, there are a few people out there who believe he might not be invited back for a while. Although a lot of fans are on his side, they also feel like calling out the show as a whole is going to get him sidelined. Let us know who you think was in the right, in the comments down below. Nikola Jokic Sneak Disses Kendrick Perkins

Nikola Jokic is one of the best players in the entire NBA right now. Overall, he has won two-straight MVP awards and he is looking to get a third. In the eyes of many, he is the best player in the NBA. Although, there are a lot of people who are still skeptical of his talents. At the end of the day, he has not experienced a ton of playoff success. However, he has a chance to change that this year as the Nuggets are currently first in the Western Conference. They will be in tough against the Suns, although they have a great chance to surprise some people.

At this stage of his career, Jokic has proven to be a triple-double machine. He is great at making passes and facilitating so that his teammates get good shots. Unfortunately, his ability to rack up stats has led to some pretty ridiculous criticism from Kendrick Perkins. A few days ago on First Take, Perkins made the outrageous claim that Jokic was purposely stat-padding. Overall, fans could not believe this assertion. Even Stephen A. Smith was flabbergasted, as was JJ Redick who recently got to respond to Perk.

Nikola Jokic Has Jokes

Last night, the Nuggets won another game and Jokic captured yet another triple-double. Interestingly enough, this was the 100th triple-double of Jokic’s career. According to Clutch Points, a reporter decided to ask Jokic about his latest achievement. However, instead of giving a real answer, Nikola Jokic made sure to rub it in the face of Kendrick Perkins. “When you’re stat padding it’s easy, you know,” Jokic said. Clearly, the Nuggets center pays attention to what is being said about him.

Moving forward, it will be interesting to see how Jokic closes out the year. His Nuggets are going to try and sure up that number one seed, while he looks to get another MVP award. However, if he wins his third MVP and the Nuggets don’t get to the Finals, it is going to look a bit funny in the light. Let us know what you think of Jokic’s response to Perkins, in the comments section down below.

Kevin Durant Calls Out Kendrick Perkins For Being A “Liar”

Kevin Durant is someone who has taken a whole lot of criticism over the years. Much of this is due to the fact that he has never been shy to leave teams if they weren’t fitting the bill. Overall, he did it to the OKC Thunder. Additionally, he left the Golden State Warriors after realizing that he preferred to win on his own merits. Since then, he had been in Brooklyn where things weren’t always great for him. He had been having a rough go with Kyrie, and when Irving was traded, that certainly left a pretty bad taste in his mouth. After meeting with the Nets, it became clear that he needed to leave.

Subsequently, Durant was traded to the Phoenix Suns. Overall, this was a massive move that has shaken up the entire Western Conference. Now it seems as though the Phoenix Suns are going to be the favorites to win it all. Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to do it. However, with Kevin Durant on the roster, they certainly have a much better chance to do it. Regardless, with Durant leaving yet another team, there are questions being raised about how committed he is to sticking it out in one city.

Kevin Durant Vs. Big Perk

For instance, in a recent Instagram post, Kendrick Perkins accused KD and Kyrie of being shady. KD and Perk have a history and Durant didn’t stop himself from clapping back. As you can see above, KD wrote that Perkins is someone who gets paid to lie. Overall, it is quite the shot at Perkins, who is known for some wild hot takes over at ESPN. Needless to say, you can’t help but feel like KD is at least a little fed up with Perk and his schtick.

Moving forward, KD will have a chance to prove himself with his new team. He gets to play with Chris Paul and Devin Booker, so if he can’t win a championship, it’s going to be a bad look. Let us know what you think of the Perkins and KD beef, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Kendrick Perkins Thinks LeBron James Is Being Punished

Kendrick Perkins is someone who has spent a lot of time with LeBron James. In fact, he even won a championship with him back in 2016. Having said that, Perkins has always sought to defend James. Overall, his entire role on ESPN has been that of the “LeBron Agenda Pusher.”

Subsequently, this has led to some very interesting takes that have definitely rubbed some people the wrong way. However, he has also delivered some theories that will have people thinking a bit deeper. On Friday, that is exactly what he delivered.

Kendrick Perkins Speaks Out

In the clip below, Perkins suggests that James is actually being punished. The reason for this punishment all stems from his role in bringing Russell Westbrook to the Lakers. Simply put, Perkins thinks that the management team in L.A. is upset with LeBron and they will not be doing him any favors.

“It almost feels like, in my opinion, that Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss is punishing LeBron James for the Russell Westbrook trade,” Perkins said. “Meaning, ‘you played a huge part in getting Russell Westbrook here. And we know we have these two draft picks, and we’re not going to trade ’em because you wanted him. You wanted him ‘Bron. So now you have to deal with it.’”

Kendrick Perkins brings up something that many have theorized but haven’t articulated in this manner. At the end of the day, it doesn’t even feel like Lakers management is concerned with actually improving the team. If you’re LeBron, this has to be a problem.

Kendrick Perkins Claims To Have Dirt On Serge Ibaka

Serge Ibaka had some smoke for Kendrick Perkins yesterday as the former NBA star made a snide comment about Serge. This took place during First Take as Perkins was speaking about his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Perkins made a joke about Ibaka faking his age which is a negative trope typically used against African people.

Overall, Ibaka did not appreciate this joke. Subsequently, he took to Twitter where he unleashed a Twitter thread on Perkins. He noted that the stereotype is harmful and that it shouldn’t be used. Furthermore, he even went after Perkins for being a bad teammate who was a snake in the locker room.

“Although I am disappointed I am not surprised to see these actions from someone who got his job by breaking the locker room code and by spreading lies about two of his former teammates and brothers like KD and Russ,” Ibaka wrote. “When KD had a bad game you criticized him behind his back, and when Russ had a bad game then you criticized him. You were not a locker room leader, and then you continued doing the same in the media.”

Prior to seeing these tweets, Perkins actually apologized to Ibaka. He noted that he meant no offense and that he wanted to sincerely apologize. Of course, that energy did not last long.

Kendrick Perkins Claps Back

In the tweet below, Kendrick Perkins actually went scorched earth on Serge Ibaka. He claimed to have some dirt on the player that he will never tell the public. Overall, it was quite the tweet that had fans questioning what Perkins might know.

“Did you say spreading lies at @sergeibaka ?” Perkins wrote. “Please don’t get me started homie!!!! Please don’t. I’m not about to talk about those OKC days and what you were doing in that locker room. I will not… but you definitely need to stop because you know I KNOW!!!! Carry on tho…”

Needless to say, this was not the beef we were expecting this week. Let us know what you think of all of this, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Serge Ibaka Goes After Kendrick Perkins Over Racist Trope

Serge Ibaka used to be teammates with Kendrick Perkins on the Oklahoma City Thunder. This was all at a time when Kevin Durant was just 23 and Russell Westbrook, as well as James Harde, were 22. Of course, this team never won a title together, although they probably should have.

Despite this, Perkins seems to have some resentment toward the team. In fact, he made some weird assertion today that Ibaka was lying about his age when he played for the Thunder. Ibaka was 21 at the time, however, that did not stop Perkins from using a racist trope against Africans.

“Kevin Durant is only 23, Westbrook is only 22, Harden is 22, Serge Ibaka is 21, although he was probably 30 at the time because we know how certain individuals lie about their age,” Perkins said. Many realized that this had some weird racial undertones, including Ibaka.

Serge Ibaka Responds

While taking to Twitter, Ibaka made sure to tell Perkins that he did not appreciate what was said on the air. He noted that it is a negative trope used against African people and that he wishes people would be less ignorant. Furthermore, Ibaka called out Perkins for being a bad teammate.

“I count my blessings every day and I don’t usually react to comments about me. But It’s disappointing to hear someone I shared a locker room with spreading misinformation to be relevant and get views on TV and social media,” Ibaka said. “You can talk about my game If I don’t play well, I will never have a problem with that. But to talk extra for no reason is really not acceptable. It is disrespectful to me and I feel like it is disrespectful to many Africans who have to live with that unfounded accusation.”

Perkins clearly did not care all that much as he simply wrote back “Bro it was a damn joke. Stop being so damn sensitive.” As you can imagine, this is a comment that did not sit well with fans, who know that Perkins has gone too far on multiple occasions.

Overall, this is a bad look for the ESPN analyst, who has already said some questionable stuff in the past.

SOURCE SPORTS: Draymond Green Claps Back at Kendrick Perkins With “Ogre” Comments After Warriors Eliminated the Grizzlies

draymond

Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green doesn’t run from any smoke thrown his way. On Friday’s episode of ESPN’s First Take, Kendrick Perkins ripped Green for being scared to shoot the ball and doing more talking than balling.

After eliminating the Memphis Grizzlies in 6 games and clinching a spot in the Western Conference Finals, Green aired out Perkins in possibly the worst way ever, including calling the man an ogre.

“Something came to my phone earlier,” Green said to reporters. “Some guy saying I’m scared to shoot the basketball. Scared and me in the same sentence is brutal. But you got a big ogre on TV talking about what Draymond says ain’t the gospel. It is the gospel. What I say is the gospel. When you say that multiple times on several different segments, you must think what I say is the gospel. So, you got to come out and shut some guys up sometimes. When you got people talking out the side of their neck. ‘Anybody can make the pass Draymond make.’ That’s just stupid.

“But these are people who get employed to talk on TV about our game. ‘Anybody could make that pass.’ You make that pass. We’d love to see it. I played against the guy by the way. I’m talking about Kendrick Perkins for those of y’all that don’t know. I’m never duckin’ no smoke. As the Memphis Grizzlies’ towels say, I don’t duck smoke. ‘Anybody could make that pass.’ You couldn’t, so good luck. You just got to come out and shut people up sometimes. It was very fun to do.”

Not too long after Green made those comments, Perkins took to social media to fire right back with a funny quote “You ain’t handsome! You damn sure ain’t cute!”

While the back and forth makes for great tv, Green and the Warriors have regained their championship form. Don’t expect the back and forth to end anytime soon. Perkins has a right to express his opinion, and Green has his.
