Drake Subtly Throws Shade At Kendrick Lamar Amid “Like That” Diss: “I’m Down To Make It Worse”

Drake is considered the king of Instagram captions, and he is certainly living up to that name again with this latest shot at Kendrick Lamar. Everyone and their mother who follows hip-hop knows about the recent verse on “Like That.” It has easily been the top performance of the year on many fronts, and it has rekindled the competitive flame in the genre. Fans have been on the edge of the seats since last Friday about how J. Cole and The Boy will respond. So far, Drake has been using those “Twitter fingers” of his to send subliminals toward Kendrick Lamar.

Just yesterday, the “First Person Shooter” rapper posted a collage of photos with the caption, “They rather go to war with me than admit they are their own worst enemy 😂” That came just a few days after Drake put on an empowering speech at one of his recent shows. “I got my head held high, my back straight, I’m ten f****ng toes down… and I know no matter what there’s not another n**** that could ever f*** with me on this Earth.”

Now, Drake is back at it again with another vague message that people are going to deduce is for K-Dot. “I could never sell ya’ll out to sell my latest work. Never do you bad out the blue but I’m down to make it worse 🥳.” This caption accompanies a bunch of random photos. One that sticks out is an owl with the phrase,” We never sleep.” This could be a way for Drizzy to clear up the recent confusion as to why his verse was not cleared for Bfb Da Packman’s “Olympic S*** Talkin.” The Michigan rapper claimed they could not get it out because of the diss from Lamar. That could further confirm fans suspicions that a response was not going to happen yet.

What are your thoughts on Drake Instagram caption that seemingly feeds into the Kendrick Lamar beef? Do you agree that it has something to do with it, why or why not? Could this be a subtle way of clearing up the confusion around the Bfb Da Packman verse? How do you think Drizzy will go about fully responding to Lamar? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Drake Seemingly Confirms He Isn’t Taking Kendrick Lamar Diss Seriously

Drake is currently under attack from multiple different artists. However, it is the diss from Kendrick Lamar on “Like That” that everyone is talking about right now. Overall, it was a scathing display with numerous bars directed at Drizzy and his recent output. Although some believe Drake could never lose a battle, there are others who are worried for the megastar. Kendrick Lamar is not to be played with, and we’re sure he has a lot more from where that came from. Having said all of that, it is looking doubtful that his new opponent will drop anything soon.

We know this because at his most recent show, he decided to walk out to Future’s “My Savages.” Moreover, this display of pettiness was backed up by a speech in which he reaffirmed his standing as one of the best artists ever. “I got my head held high, my back straight, I’m ten f**king toes down… and I know no matter what there’s not another n**ga that could ever f*ck with me on this Earth,” he said. Lastly, according to DJ Akademiks, he recently liked an IG comment saying “this man isn’t taking it serious.”

Drake Leaves A Curious Like

Perhaps this like was just a coping mechanism for how he really feels about things. However, it could have been sarcastic, and simply a way to throw people off ahead of a response track. At this stage, no one knows what Drake is truly feeling. What we do know, is that Kendrick is winning right now. Only time will tell whether or not that sentiment changes.

Let us know what you think of the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef, in the comments section down below. Do you think Drake is going to drop a response track? Does he have to maintain his status as the biggest artist in the world? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Drake Breaks Silence On Kendrick Lamar Diss With A Speech At His Concert

Drake had himself a rough day on Friday as Kendrick Lamar, Future, Rick Ross, and Metro Boomin dissed him on We Don’t Trust You. Of course, the song that everyone is thinking about right now is “Like That” with Kendrick. Overall, Lamar delivers some scathing bars about the “Big 3” and how he sees himself as the GOAT. He is tired of being lumped in with Drake and J. Cole, and as a result, we got a scathing verse. However, fans are now putting the honus on Drizzy to respond with full force.

Well, throughout the weekend, it seemed as though Drake was actively avoiding the drama. However, at his most recent concert, he decided to surprise fans by walking out to Future’s song “My Savages.” It was a unique display of pettiness that will certainly spawn a few debates. However, Drizzy actually had more to say on the situation. In the video clip below, you can see a speech that Drake gave during the show. Within this speech, he refused to call out anyone by name. That said, it was very obvious what he was addressing.

Drake Makes A Speech

“I got my head held high, my back straight, I’m ten f**king toes down… and I know no matter what there’s not another n**ga that could ever f*ck with me on this Earth,” he wrote. The statement itself is ambiguous on whether or not he will deliver a response. Of course, fans would love for Drizzy to drop a track taking aim at Kendrick. This would spawn one of the biggest rap beefs we have seen in quite some time. For now, however, we will just have to wait and see.

Let us know what you think of this response from Drake, in the comments section down below. Do you think is enough, or will he have to come out with a song? Drake Drops First Instagram Post After Kendrick Lamar Diss, Quotes NAV After He Unfollows Him

Well, about 54 hours after the world heard Kendrick Lamar on “Like That,” Drake decided to speak out following the shots he caught on that diss track. However, it’s not a response at all, but rather a series of snaps on Instagram from his Big As The What? tour with J. Cole, who also got heat on Kendrick’s verse. “I ain’t picking up I’m in Turks lil baby,” The Boy captioned the post, quoting a line off of NAV’s “Turks” with Travis Scott and Gunna. Moreover, this is particularly interesting because Internet sleuths discovered that NAV seems to have unfollowed him on IG, which is a very interesting development.

Furthermore, one possible explanation for this is NAV’s loyalty to Metro Boomin, who has his own beef with Drake. They have a collab tape together and multiple other collaborations, so it would make sense that he “picks a side” here as Metro and Future have promoted heavily for their own collab album, the brand-new WE DON’T TRUST YOU. This is where Kendrick Lamar chose to take shots at Drizzy and J. Cole, and lines up with Fewtch’s alleged rift in his relationship with OVO. There are a lot of conflicting loyalties here amid a group that used to be very tight, so it’s a hard call to make either way.

Drake’s First IG Post Post-“Like That,” NAV Seems To Pick A Side

Regardless, it seems like Drake and J. Cole are in no particular rush to respond, or else they would’ve done something for their Saturday night (March 23) Big As The What? tour stop in Florida, their first since “Like That” dropped. Instead, they invited Lil Wayne to perform alongside them, as they previously announced for a number of upcoming shows. Aubrey Graham’s caption here could also suggest that he’s living unbothered, partying out in Turks and Caicos while the world waits for an answer to Kendrick Lamar. But with the “First Person Shooter” duo’s competitive spirit in mind, and all the smoke they’ve been foaming at the mouth for, it’s likely that we’ll get some type of response soon.

Meanwhile, what do you think about this whole debacle? What about your thoughts on how other media personalities like DJ Akademikes are reacting to this beef and breaking it down with their own theories? Whatever the case, drop your thoughts down in the comments section below. Also, for more news and the latest updates on Drake, keep checking in with HNHH.

DJ Akademiks Thinks Drake Will Beat Kendrick Lamar In Their Beef

Hip-hop waits patiently for the next move in the incendiary beef between Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole. Moreover, if you haven’t already heard for some reason, K-Dot dissed them on “Like That” off Future and Metro Boomin’s new album WE DON’T TRUST YOU, although there’s still plenty of debate as to who was really the target. Most of the pointed lines on here relate specifically to Drizzy, and Cole seems like someone caught in the crossfire who, in the album’s narrative, “picked the wrong side.” This is because the aforementioned trap duo allegedly have their own issues with the 6ix God, and are taking a stance against him with this rollout.

Furthermore, DJ Akademiks wasted no time in reacting to this development and breaking it all down. While he had many things to say on his livestream, the big point was about a question that everyone’s thinking about: what’s going to happen next? Well, Ak thinks that, based on recent footage of Drake being on his phone at a club, he’s going to “f**k Kendrick Lamar up.” Of course, this is a pretty big conclusion to draw off of just some screen time surrounded by party-goers and loud music, but he thinks that he’s deep in his Notes app writing his arsenal of bars… or texting his ghostwriters for updates. Just kidding, Aubrey, you’ve proven yourself to us enough before.

DJ Akademiks Believes Drake Will “F**k Kendrick Up”

Another theory that DJ Akademiks proposed is that this “Like That” verse is actually a trap, and that Kendrick Lamar has way more dirt in the vault if Drake or J. Cole were to respond. Still, he mostly centered this around the Toronto superstar, and what the media personality is referring to here is simple beef history and precedent. Usually, there’s an inciting incident, then a response, and a clapback that follows. See another beef in The Boy’s catalog, the one with Pusha T, as an example: the subs on “Infrared” led to the direct “Duppy Freestyle” and the scathing “The Story Of Adidon.”

Ak’s Other Comments On Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” & WE DON’T TRUST YOU: Watch

Meanwhile, the former Everyday Struggle co-host also drew connections when it comes to Future’s beef with OVO, plus Metro Boomin’s issues. He brought up alleged friction over the 21 Savage collab album Her Loss, plus some more comments on the whole situation. It’s just one analysis of many, but one that shares the excitement for what’s next that many fans are expressing. With that in mind, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on DJ Akademiks, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake.

Metro Boomin Hinted At Kendrick Lamar Diss & Drake & J. Cole Beef With Tweet Pre-“WE DON’T TRUST YOU,” Fans Think

Metro Boomin and Future’s collaborative album WE DON’T TRUST YOU sent hip-hop fans into a frenzy for its quality and for its confrontational stance. Moreover, Kendrick Lamar’s feature on “Like That” shaded Drake and J. Cole, proclaiming himself to be the only top dog in what he think is a falsely crowned “Big Three.” Of course, given Metro and Drizzy’s previous tensions plus some new theories that Fewtch is also beefing with OVO, this seems to have prompted a civil war of sorts in the rap game, one that we haven’t seen at this level of visibility and artistry in a long time. But with a couple of days of analysis in the rearview, fans are looking at old tweets and realizing the road here seems to have been paved all along.

once you pick a side stay there.. #WEDONTTRUSTYOU,” Metro Boomin had tweeted on Thursday night (March 21), just 18 minutes before WE DON’T TRUST YOU dropped. Furthermore, fans have also unearthed plenty of old verses, interview clips, social media posts, and other instances and interactions that could inform this current state. However, since no one involved has either directly or indirectly addressed any of this, it’s a tough call to make. Even without this explicit confirmation, though, the narrative is already there, and it’s now on these artists to define how they will proceed.

Metro Boomin’s Previous Tweet About “Picking A Side” Makes Way More Sense Now

In addition, some new clips and unearthed footage suggests that this supposed hip-hop war goes much deeper than those targeted on “Like That” or its creators. After Travis Scott popped out at Future and Metro Boomin’s Rolling Loud L.A. set, fans found footage of La Flame asking the duo to play the diss against Drake and J. Cole. While this doesn’t really confirm anything, a lot of social media users assume that Travis has his own issues with either MC. Still, considering that “MELTDOWN” arrived not even a year ago, it would be huge if something went down between him and the 6ix God in that short span of time.

Meanwhile, the “I Serve The Base” team hinted at this rift, but they also definitely predicted that they would hit it big with WE DON’T TRUST YOU. From what the album’s promising first week sales projections indicate, it seems like they would be right in this assessment. After all, the sad reality is that nothing brings clicks quite like conflict, especially amid the highest echelon of the genre. Nevertheless, we’ll see if any other developments paint other past statements or actions in a different context, and we’ll still be bumping this album to unearth more of its craft and creativity. On that note, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Metro Boomin and all these artists.

Joe Budden Loves Kendrick Lamar’s Diss To Drake & J. Cole On Future & Metro Boomin’s “WE DON’T TRUST YOU”

The hip-hop world will probably continue to reel from Kendrick Lamar’s guest verse dissing Drake and J. Cole on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” off of their new album WE DON’T TRUST YOU for a couple more weeks. Moreover, a lot of folks are taking sides on whether Kendrick, Aubrey, or Cole are on top, and on what “team” they’re on. But for a lot of people, including The Joe Budden Podcast, they’re just excited to see this competitive nature return to rap’s main stage. On the latest episode of the program, the Slaughterhouse MC and his co-hosts debated about this verse.

As you’ll see below, it’s a very long clip and a very dense discussion, in which all the podcasters involved go through a lot of different topics. A salient one, pushed the most by Joe Budden himself, is that this is bringing an end to the “fake” nature of hip-hop relationships, something that Kendrick Lamar suggested about Drake and J. Cole’s current partnership. Budden brought up that Travis Scott had asked Future and Metro Boomin to play “Like That” at Rolling Loud L.A. despite his connection to Drizzy. Overall, they loved to see the gloves come off and for the Compton creative to throw hands.

The Joe Budden Podcast Dissects “Like That” & Compares It To “First Person Shooter”: Watch

Of course, The Joe Budden Podcast also broke down the bars themselves on the “Like That” verse, and compared it to Drake and J. Cole’s “First Person Shooter” verses. By connecting the dots, it’s not hard to see what could’ve provoked Kendrick Lamar to fire up, and they anticipate that the 6ix God and the Dreamville boss won’t take long to respond. This is also curious because Joe Budden had placed Cole about Kendrick and The Boy when it comes to current rankings. But, as he clarified in this new podcast, he wants to see Mr. Morale challenge that claim, and he’s very happy that he did.

Meanwhile, where do you fall on this debate? Who is the top dog here, what does it say about interpersonal rap relationships, and do you think that Fewtch and Metro are officially taking an anti-OVO stance after a lot of beef rumors? However you may feel, drop your thoughts down in the comments section below. As always, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole, Future, Metro Boomin, and The Joe Budden Podcast.

Charlamagne Tha God Wants J. Cole To Respond To Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar’s feature on “LIKE THAT” off Future and Metro Boomin’s new collab album WE DON’T TRUST YOU is quickly becoming one of the biggest musical moments of 2024 so far. In it, he takes aim at Drake and J. Cole, the other members of hip-hop’s supposed “Big Three” for the 2010s decade. But according to the Compton lyricist, he’s the only one on top, and with a lot of pointed references and clever wordplay, he’s challenging Drizzy and Cole to get serious. Many folks are foaming at the mouth for a response, represented quite succinctly by Charlamagne Tha God’s reaction to the verse on the latest episode of The Breakfast Club. Funnily enough, he left some smoke for Big Sean in the process.

“That’s right, [I’m ready for this],” Charlamagne Tha God said of “LIKE THAT” and the relationship between Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. “That’s right, Cole and Drake, they can’t take the high road. Kendrick’s been asking for smoke for years, since ‘Control.’ No, Cole’s the one that really needs to jump out, [not Drake]. ‘Cause you said you was Muhammad Ali and you got an album coming out. You the one that really need to say something. Not right now, [Big] Sean. Wait a week. Sean, this is what always happens to you. You always get lost in the sauce of the Big Three. You know what, though? There was a couple of years, Sean was lyrically better than a lot of them. I was saying that. Sean was really, really, lyrically in his bag.

The Breakfast Club Debates Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole & “LIKE THAT”: Watch

He still is, he still is, but there’s a disconnect. Probably what you just said, a lack of consistency. No, [Sean is not four]! What you mean? The Big Three is Kendrick, Future, and then it’s Drake and Cole. That’s the four! The Big Three is Kendrick, Future, fill in the blank, but I know the other two is Drake and Cole. I’m just talking about musically. Not lyrically, musically.” “I’m ready for this,” DJ Nyla Symone remarked. “I’m ready to see it, and I don’t even want to wait until Dreamville Fest for a response. I feel like it needs to be now. Well, Cole can take the high road, honestly. No, Drake’s the one that really need to come out, because Future and Metro got the beef with Drake. They unfollowed Drake, they didn’t unfollow Cole.

“Metro unfollowed Drake, then tweeted out ‘We don’t trust you,’ and then the album dropped, WE DON’T TRUST YOU,” Nyla continued. “Do you think… is Sean four? Drake, Kendrick, Cole. You gotta keep Cole in the top.” Amid their debates, The Breakfast Club also laughed at the idea that unfollowing each other on social media is a sign of war. What do you think about this whole debate? Let us know in the comments down below. Also, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Kendrick Lamar, J. Kendrick Lamar Steals Big Sean’s Shine Again, Fans React To “LIKE THAT” & “Precision”

Kendrick Lamar set the rap world on fire overnight thanks to his verse on “LIKE THAT” off Metro Boomin and Future’s new album WE DON’T TRUST YOU. On it, he dissed the concept of a “Big Three” in 2010s hip-hop, calling out his other competitors Drake and J. Cole for their sneak disses and for not being on his level. Overall, the Compton lyricist also had a lot of other elements that made that guest verse great, but it’s only been a couple of hours since it dropped and fans are still reeling from this assertive performance. What’s more is that a lot of fans are also seeing how history repeats itself in hip-hop sometimes, thanks to another big release this week.

Moreover, according to many reactions on social media, Kendrick Lamar upstaged Big Sean again by dissing the rap game, just like he had done 11 years ago on their Jay Electronica-assisted collab “Control.” This time around, Kendrick’s verse overshadowed conversation around Sean’s new song “Precision” and excitement for his upcoming album. Obviously, saying that either MC completely made the other irrelevant is a big stretch, and the Detroit spitter still got plenty of deserved love for his skill. But at the end of the day, a lot of fans found it curious how he just keeps getting bad luck when it comes to stepping to the pgLang creative.

In addition, this is made all the more interesting thanks to Big Sean’s recently released “Anderson Estate” freestyle. On that loosie, he also disses the concept of the “Big Three,” shading Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Drake, and the reverence of them in hip-hop discourse. It’s definitely true that this assessment can unfairly leave others out of the conversation, but that’s just the nature of competition. Check out reactions to this rift down below.

Kendrick Lamar Breaks The Internet With Drake & J. Cole Diss: See What Fans Had To Say

Kendrick Lamar is a rapper who takes his time between releases. However, this has made some contemporary rap fans angry. Most are not used to artists taking their time. Instead, they are used to being given a new project every year. Consequently, it has led to Kendrick being underestimated. It has also led to people claiming that Drake and J. Cole are above him right now. Well, it seems as though Kendrick has been listening to these critiques, and he decided to respond.

By now, you have probably heard “Like That” on Future and Metro Boomin’s new album We Don’t Trust You. On this song, Kendrick takes direct shots at Drake and Cole. He says that there is no such thing as a big three and that it is just “big me.” He also claims that their music is a “light pack” while also noting that Prince lived longer than Michael Jackson. For those who don’t get it, Drake is considered the MJ of rap, and back in the day, Prince and MJ had a rivalry, with Prince being seen as the more risk-taking and experimental artist. Needless to say, Kendrick took some heavy shots.
