Kim Kardashian Was In Tears After Kanye West Retrieved Her Sex Tape On ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’

Earlier this year, Kanye West claimed in an interview that he retrieved a laptop that contained a second sex tape Kim Kardashian and Ray J had made together. “I met this man at the airport, then got on the red-eye, came back… delivered it to her at 8 a.m. in the morning. I gave it to her, and she cried when she saw it. You know why she cried when she saw that laptop? It represents how much she’s been used,” the rapper said.

A representative for the Kardashians denied there being anything sexual in the footage, but that moment, of West handing the tape over to his then-wife, appeared during Wednesday’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “He got me all of the sex tape back,” an emotional Kim told her mom Kris and sister Khloe, among others. “And he flew home and he got the computer it was on and the hard drive. He met up with Ray J at the airport.” In a confessional interview, she added, “I know Kanye did this for me, but he also did this for my kids. I want to shield them from as much as I can. And if I had the power to or if Kanye has the power to, like, that is just the most important thing to me.”

What was on the tape that West retrieved? “It was just footage of us at a restaurant, at a nightclub. Nothing sexual, nothing weird,” Kardashian explained, “and so now I can take a deep breath and not worry about this right before SNL, right before [taking the “baby bar exam”], right before, like, everything.” You can watch that moment below.

Julia Fox Might Be Dating Kanye, But She’s A ‘Die-Hard, OG Fan’ Of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’

Now that Kanye West has finally moved on from his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and is actively dating, things are getting interesting. Kim has been openly cavorting around with Pete Davidson for weeks now, so it’s only fair that Kanye head out on some dates himself — and his dates with actress Julia Fox are already turning heads (including her own).

But leave it to TMZ to determine the connection between Julia and Kim, and it turns out, Julia is a huge fan of Kim’s show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. On the last episode of the 2021 season of her podcast, Forbidden Fruits With Julia Fox And Niki Takesh, Fox talks openly about being a “die-hard, OG fan” of the show, and had even brought up the Ye/Kim divorce in the episode, along with Kim dating Pete. “”Can we talk about the Kim and Kanye divorce? Wait, can we talk about Kim and Pete Davidson, though?” she said.

Later on, Julia also said that she’s been watching the show since it first began airing back in 2007 and called it “embarrassing” that she misses it now that the show has ended. The best part, though, is Julia said she was always rooting for the family: “it’s like you are happy for them when something good happens to them.” So if Kanye and Julia do turn serious, it sounds like there will be goodwill there already — at least on Julia’s side.

Kim Kardashian Finally Opens Up About Her Kanye West Divorce: ‘It’s The Little Things I Don’t Have’

As it related to Kanye West, last week’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians was a big one. In it, Kim Kardashian spoke as frankly as she ever had about her and West’s relationship troubles, saying that the situation made her feel like “a f*cking loser.” Last night was the series finale of the show, and during the episode, Kardashian spoke about why she decided to divorce West.

Speaking with Kris Jenner, Kardashian began:

“I just feel like I’ve worked so hard in life to achieve everything that I’ve wanted to, and I’ve lived up to my expectations and achieved ten times more than I even thought was humanly possible, but I don’t have a life to share that with. Like, I do — obviously my kids and everything — but am I just going to sit here and think, ‘OK, my kids fulfill me and I’m good?’

I never thought I was lonely. I always thought that’s totally fine: I could just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state, and I just am on this ride with him, and I was OK with that. And then after turning 40 this year, I realized, like, ‘No, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state.’ To me, I thought, ‘Oh my god, that’s when we’re getting along the best,’ but then that is sad to me and that’s not what I want.”

She went on to talk about how while she appreciated all of West’s grand gestures, she doesn’t feel like their lives and interests had enough overlap:

“I want someone where we have the same shows in common. I want someone that wants to work out with me. Like, every single day, Khloé and Tristan and I would workout at 6 a.m., the three of us, and I was third-wheeling it for a good eight months in quarantine, and I was so envious of that. I was like, ‘Wow, it’s, like, the little things I don’t have.’ I have all the big things. I have the extravagant everything you can possibly imagine and no one will ever do it like that — I know that, and I’m grateful for those experiences — but I think I’m ready for the smaller experiences that I think will mean a lot.”

She concluded, “I’m numb. Like, I’m tired of that, but I do know that I will be happy. I didn’t come this far just to come this far and not be happy.”

Looking at Kardashian’s outfit in the scene and comparing it to an Instagram post, BuzzFeed News speculates the conversation was filmed in mid-January, about a month before Kardashian filed for divorce. However, Kardashian spoke about turning 40 years old “this year,” and her 40th birthday was on October 21, 2020. So, it’s also possible the chat took place in late 2020.

Kim Kardashian Tearfully Discusses Her Kanye West Marriage: ‘I Feel Like A F*cking Failure’

In a March teaser for the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, there was a clip of Kim Kardashian crying and saying, “I feel like a f*cking loser.” There wasn’t much context for the tearful moment, but regardless, it led to speculation that Kardashian was talking about her dissolving marriage with Kanye West. (It should be noted that neither Kardashian nor West have publicly confirmed or discussed their reported divorce.) It turns out that speculation was correct, though, as last night’s episode shows more from that vulnerable moment.

In a video recapping the episode, Kim and her sisters have a dispute about some cookies, which leads to a talking head shot of Khloé, who attributes Kim’s frustration with the situation to her struggling relationship with West. She also notes that Kim and West had a big fight before before a trip to Lake Tahoe. Then, in a flashback shot, Kim tearfully says:

“I think he deserves someone that can go support his every move, and go follow him all over the place, and move to Wyoming. I can’t do that. He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything, and I can’t. I feel like a f*cking failure, that it’s like, a third f*cking marriage. Yeah, I feel like a f*cking loser. But I can’t even think about that. Like, I want to be happy.”

BuzzFeed News notes that in the full flashback clip from the episode, before the segment that’s featured in the teaser video, Kim says, “I honestly can’t do this anymore. I’m still in this place where I’ve been stuck for years. He goes and moves to a different state every year, and I have to be together so I can raise the kids. He’s an amazing dad, and he’s done an amazing job.”

Ahead of the flashback clip, Khloé asked Kim how things are with her and West and she responded, “There’s no fighting. Like, now, it’s like all calm. So I just… I just roll with it, you know?”

The series finale airs on June 10 and it looks like it may reveal more about Kim and West’s marriage: A TV Guide summary of the episode reads, “The family buries a time capsule to commemorate their years on Keeping Up. Kim updates the family on her future, Khloé must decide whether to move to Boston to be with Tristan, and Kourtney finally gives Scott some clarity about their romantic future.”
