Kanye West is about as provocative as they come these days, but there was a point in his life, years ago, when swiping the microphone from Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards was considered a relatively major controversy for him. Fast-forward to present day: Taylor Swift just released her latest re-recorded album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). One of the previously unreleased “From The Vault” songs is a Hayley Williams collaboration called “Castles Crumbling,” and Swifties are convinced the song is about the West situation.
One fan on Twitter theorized, “‘they used to chant my name now they’re screaming that they hate me’ oh my god she wrote castles crumbling after the VMAs when she thought she was getting booed… she thought everyone hated her… i’m gonna jump off a bridge #SpeakNowTaylorsVersion.” Another wrote, “i just realized that castles crumbling is about what happened after the vmas when she thought everyone was booing her.. ‘my frozen friends watched my reign end’….’used to chant my name now now they’re screaming that they hate me..’”

Swift hasn’t addressed this, but Williams recently said of Swift, “Taylor was the first industry friend I ever made and hung out with outside of work things. When Speak Now dropped, I bought my friend’s record (as you do!) and listened to the whole thing in my first car, sitting still in the driveway. It’s my favorite Taylor Swift album for so many reasons.”

Kim Kardashian has admitted that she feels a wee bit “guilty” about Kanye West’s actions, as well as brands dropping him due to his antisemitic remarks in the past year. On The Kardashians, season three, episode six, Kim K touches on the topic of her ex-husband due to something she posted recently. “I feel guilty that I, like, posted something in support of the Jewish community, then people dropped him today?” she said of her social media power.
During Kanye’s anti-Jewish tirade over the last few months, Kim Kardashian has remained quiet. Instead of calling the father of her children out by name, she’s instead offered support to the Jewish community. In return, more brands have left the rapper in the dust. “And I’m like, ‘Is that my fault that, like, I posted that? And did that, like, push them, and I should have just kept quiet?’” Kim asked her sister on the show. “But I’m vocal about everything else, and it’s like, I never know what to do.”

Kim is in a tough position, being a vital influencer in pop culture who is attached to the most toxic influencer in pop culture. While she wants to be vocal about what’s important, she doesn’t want to cause grief for her ex-husband. During the episode, she becomes rather inconsolable about the whole ordeal. Kanye put Kim in a corner where she has to hurt somebody. If she were to say nothing at all, it’s almost as if she condones his behavior.
In all honesty, Kim Kardashian did the best that she could in a horrible situation. Seeing as everybody is canceling Kanye for his awful takes, it’s a matter of time before all brands are rid of him. So while she wants to blame herself, it really isn’t her guilt to have. She broke down in tears on the Hulu original TV show, saying she was confused. She didn’t recognize the person she had married before. Together, Kim and Kanye have four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

When Kanye West and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian stepped out together, “Flashing Lights” followed them everywhere they went. West did his best to stay lowkey with a covering on his face, donning almost all-black with his super stealthy sock shoes on foot.

She was shielding her face heavily back in America, but Censori showed off that and her body in Tokyo. It remains unclear if they purchased anything, but when they were done with their excursion, a waiting car swept them off to their next destination.

Although Kim Kardashian and Kanye West started divorcing in early 2021, the reality star is still trying to shield their four children from his bad behavior.
During a new interview with Vogue Italia, Kardashian specifically shared that she tries to hide her emotions about it all from the kids.
“If it’s something concerning my kids’ dad and I’m upset, I try not to show as much emotion,” she said. “I have to be ready to explain why I’m upset and it might not be appropriate for them to know. There’s nothing worse than ‘You’ll understand when you’re older.’ I don’t want to be that person.”
“But if I’m upset about other things that they can understand, I absolutely will show emotion and cry,” Kardashian added, pointing out that she does show her feelings to them about other things. “On Christmas morning, I cried when my mom gave me a doll house. My kids didn’t understand why and I explained I had that at my dad’s house as a little girl.”
As the new season of Hulu’s The Kardashians is still unfolding, viewers are simultaneously watching Kim react to West’s erratic behavior that happened last fall. “It’s always just so intense,” she shared on the show. “I just don’t want to engage in a public feud with him.”
