Welp, Pete Davidson And Kim Kardashian Have Broken Up After Nine Months (Though His Tattoos May Last Forever)

Pete Davidson gets around, which may surprise men more than women. But for the last months, he’s been in a committed — and sometimes turbulent — relationship with one person: Kim Kardashian. The SNL vet and socialite/businesswoman began dating last October, though they only made their red carpet debut in May. But now, as per CNN, the two have called it quits.

Sources say the reason was simple: their schedules and locations haven’t always lined up, and the friction was apparently such that they have decided to part ways. They met, appropriately enough, at his workplace. “I did ‘SNL,’ and then when we kissed in the scene, it was just a vibe,” she once revealed on her Hulu show.

Their relationship was a bumpy one, though through no fault of their own. It was usually Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West. Their divorce was finalized this March, and he made a point of repeatedly intruding on their lives, attempting to make Davidson’s life hell. Davidson often did the smart thing, which is to say he did nothing. Occasionally he fought back, albeit in the form of jokes and a bit of trolling.

Davidson has long been a prolific fan of tattoos, some of which he’s gotten removed. What he’ll do with his Kardashian tattoos remains to be seen, though a lot of people had jokes on that matter.

In any case, pour one out for Pete and Kim.

John Legend Speaks On How Kanye’s Pro Trump Support Affected Their Friendship

john legend

When Kanye came out in support of Donald Trump in 2018 it took many by surprise. Many thought that the artist who once said on national TV that “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people” when seeing the U.S.’s response to Hurricane Katrina had switched sides and was now the very person he had once been spoken up about. Not only did Ye’s support of Trump put a bad taste in many of his fans, but it also hurt some relationships with people he was once close with.

In a recent interview with David Axelrod, John Legend spoke on how Kanye’s support of Trump, and his own 2020 presidential run affected their friendship. “Well, you know, we aren’t friends as much as we used to be because I honestly think because we publicly disagreed on his running for office, his supporting Trump,” Legend said. “I think it became too much for us to sustain our friendship, honestly.”

When speaking on Wests failed attempt at running for POTUS, Legend said that he, along with others, were not supportive of Kanye’s decision to run. This caused even more strain on their friendship. ”I wasn’t alone in that, but, you know, he was not happy about that,” he said. “And we really haven’t been close since then.”

When asked in what ways does he think Kanye is misunderstood, Legend said that Ye is “very open” and “very real” about everything and that he is the same person in private as he is in public.

I think he’s been very open with who he is and his struggles with mental health. And he’s very real, honestly …” he explained. “Like he’s been pretty upfront with his opinions, his struggles, all the things that he’s dealing with. And I think what you see with him is pretty much what you get. I don’t feel like he’s a whole separate person in private than he is in public. I think you’re pretty much seeing the real Kanye publicly.”

John Legend Reveals He Is No Longer Close To Kanye West Due To Ye’s Support Of Donald Trump

In 2018, Kanye West felt like a completely different person. It was difficult for many to grasp what the Graduation rapper had become, especially after proclaiming “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people” ten years earlier on national television. As a result, many fans and collaborators distanced themselves from the superproducer. One peer in particular, John Legend, recently spoke about how Ye’s political beliefs related to Donald Trump caused a chasm in their friendship.

CNN’s The Axe Files host David Axelrod spoke with the “All Of Me” artist and inquired as to the state of his relationship with West, Daily Mail reports. Legend replied, “We aren’t friends as much as we used to be because, I honestly think because we publicly disagreed on his running for office, his supporting Trump. I think it became, uh, too much for us to sustain our friendship, honestly.”

The R&B artist continued, sharing that the Yeezy founder took issue with his lack of support during Ye’s presidential campaign: “I wasn’t alone in that, but, you know, he was not happy about that. And we really haven’t been close since then.”

West and Legend previously worked together on “Selfish,” “Number One,” “They Say,” “Blame Game,” and many other records.

West has yet to comment on what Legend said.

Kanye West Is Apparently Re-Launching His Website

Kanye West has been making moves. Recently, Yeezy Gap was brought to stores for the first time, and now it looks like he’s re-launching his website. Nothing can be found on the site except for a blank slate with the words “Coming soon” across it in all caps. Fans online are on the edge of their seats waiting for what the rapper is up to.

The Donda performer recently took to social media to express frustration with Adidas for supposedly trying to stop him from bringing Yeezy Gap to stores and for launching this year’s Yeezy Day without his approval. “Adidas made up the Yeezy day idea without my approval. Then went and brought back older styles without my approval,” he wrote, “then went and brought back older styles without my approvals picked colors and named them without my approval went and hired people that worked for me without my approval stole my colorways without my approval stole my styles and material approaches without my approval.”

It was also recently revealed that West almost joined A Tribe Called Quest for their last album, 2016’s We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service. Consequence told the Drink Champs podcast, “What many people don’t know is Kanye was, at one point, was supposed to join Tribe for the last album.”

Kanye West Calls Out Adidas For Announcing “Yeezy Day” Without His Permission

Kanye West blasted a specific brand he’s been working with for years. He claims they’re using his brand behind his back. Chicago rapper Kanye West called out footwear company Adidas for doing Yeezy day without his input. [WATCH] Chaka Khan: “I Don’t Need To Hear From Kanye” About Unauthorized “Through The Wire” Sample

According to soul songstress Chaka Khan, her and Kanye West won’t be hugging it out anytime soon as the “AIn’t Nobody” singer reveals that she’s still upset about West using her voice on his 2003 hit “Through The Wire” from his 2004 College Dropout album.

During an interview with FOX5 New in D.C., correspondent Marissa Mitchell asked Khan about the “Through The Wire” sample, which was taken from her 1984 smash ht “Through The Fire”.

Mitchell asked the singer if she’s heard from Ye after her public criticisms of him and says that she hasn’t heard from Yeezy and furthermore, doesn’t need or want to hear from him.

Kanye West Is Mad At Adidas Again, This Time Over The Yeezy Day Promotion

When you work with Kanye West, you have to take the bad with the good. Sure, the mercurial producer’s co-sign brings with it a legion of loyal (perhaps even lemming-like) fans who would spend a week’s lunch money on one of the man’s toenail clippings, but those guaranteed profits come with the probability that, at some point, you’re going to get on his bad side and wind up on the receiving end of one of his occasional reactionary rants.

Adidas has learned as much the hard way after Kanye accused the company of ripping off his Yeezy slide design for the Adilette 22 slides on Instagram (the post in question has since been deleted). Now, Adidas has apparently incurred his wrath yet again with its Yeezy Day promotion which is celebrated annually on August 2. This time, though, Kanye directed his comments to the Complex Instagram profile‘s DMs, accusing the company of greenlighting the unofficial holiday without his approval, in addition to bypassing him on colorways, employee hires, and re-issuing older Yeezy styles. He also accused Adidas of sabotaging his partnerships with Gap and Balenciaga. You can see his full statement below.

It should be noted that Kanye had similar complaints about Nike, and has an established history of … well, not reading his contracts thoroughly to know what rights and controls he actually has. He’s also been known to change his mind at the drop of a hat and he’s got a lot of plates spinning, so any company working with him probably isn’t exactly waiting on tenterhooks for his every dictate with deadlines to hit — something he’s also kind of notoriously bad at keeping up with.
