Judge Greg Mathis has successfully reconciled with his wife, Linda Mathis, after she filed for divorce this past summer. The couple’s renewed connection was evident in a recent interview with TMZ, where their affectionate gestures—including Mathis planting a kiss on Linda’s cheek—affirmed that their romantic reunion is “definitely in full swing.”

Reflecting on the journey that led to their reconciliation, Mathis shared, “I think what happens sometimes in life, God has to break you down and lift you up and put you on another mission.” The renowned TV judge, celebrated for his advocacy work with at-risk youth, revealed that he now feels inspired to take on a new purpose: “As a street kid, went to jail, came out. I was on a mission to help street kids. And I have. For 25 years. Now, I’m on a mission to help Black love.” Demonstrating his commitment, Mathis added humorously, “And that’s not for television. We kiss all the time, y’all.”

When asked if he was “out of the doghouse,” Mathis left the answer to Linda, saying, “That’s for her to say, but I think so. But I’m not going to be arrogant enough and cocky enough to speak for her.” Linda’s own words hinted at the strength of their renewed bond: “We’re standing here right now together,” she noted, as Mathis concluded, “It speaks for itself.” This marked a significant change from August, when Mathis openly expressed regret for not prioritizing Linda and vowed to do everything in his power to win her back.

Their reconciliation isn’t the only joyful occasion for the Mathis family. Their son, Greg Mathis Jr., 35, recently celebrated his wedding to longtime partner Elliott Cooper in a stunning ceremony in Cabo San Lucas on October 21. The event featured a heartfelt detail: both fathers—Judge Mathis and Sergeant Calvin Cooper—officiated the proceedings.

Greg Jr. and Elliott, who began their relationship in 2016, are now envisioning a bright future together. The newlyweds are considering expanding their family and hosting a grand celebration in Los Angeles. “We’re talking more about kids as far as the next big chapter,” Elliott shared, “and then just continuing to really grow together.”

Judge Mathis’ Marriage on the Rocks: Linda Mathis Moves Forward with Divorce

Screen Shot 2024 09 06 at 4.13.49 AM

Last week, Judge Mathis made headlines when he vowed to reconcile with his wife, Linda Mathis, after she filed to end their 39-year marriage. Despite his intentions, it appears that Linda is resolute in her decision to move forward with the divorce.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Linda Mathis, 61, has taken the next step in the dissolution of their marriage by hiring a process server to personally serve her husband with divorce papers. The process server delivered the paperwork to their $5 million home in Beverly Hills at 10:30 a.m., ensuring that Judge Mathis, 64, received the documents just one day after Linda filed for divorce on August 22.

The couple, who have been married for nearly four decades, are parting ways due to “irreconcilable differences,” as cited in Linda’s petition. She listed the official date of their separation as July 17. While their marriage has produced four adult children—Amir, Jade, Greg Jr., and Camara—the issues of custody and child support are not factors in the divorce proceedings.

In her filing, Linda has requested spousal support from Judge Mathis and asked that he be cut off from any financial support. As the legal process unfolds, it remains to be seen how the couple, who have shared a long and public relationship, will navigate the end of their marriage.

Judge Mathis, known for his long-running television show where he dispenses justice with a blend of sternness and humor, now finds himself facing a personal challenge off-screen. Whether his vow to reconcile will lead to any change in the proceedings is uncertain, but for now, Linda Mathis seems determined to move forward.

Judge Mathis Urges for Unity Among Comedians Amid Katt Williams’ Explosive Interview

Judge Greg Mathis

Last month, the world of comedy was rocked by comedian Katt Williams’ explosive tell-all interview on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe, where he took aim at his fellow comedic peers. Williams’ bold statements ignited a messy chain of events within the comedy community, sparking debates and controversies across social media platforms.

In the aftermath of this heated exchange, reality TV judge Judge Mathis has stepped forward with a plea for peace and unity among comedians. Speaking out against the public feuds and verbal sparring that have become all too common, Judge Mathis delivered a powerful message urging comedians, particularly those within the black community, to refrain from attacking each other in public.

“You’re embarrassing yourselves,” Judge Mathis remarked in a tweet shared by The Art of Dialogue, emphasizing the negative impact of comedians engaging in public disputes. He called upon comedians to rise above petty conflicts and instead focus on uplifting and empowering one another, recognizing the importance of unity within the comedy community.

The plea for peace from Judge Mathis comes at a time when tensions within the comedy world are running high, with comedians increasingly resorting to public confrontations and verbal jabs. His words serve as a timely reminder of the need for mutual respect and solidarity among comedic peers, highlighting the detrimental effects of internal strife on the broader community.

As comedians continue to navigate the complexities of their industry, his message serves as a beacon of hope, urging them to prioritize camaraderie and collaboration over divisiveness and conflict.

Judge Mathis Clears Up Supposed “BMF” Beef With 50 Cent

Recently, some strife emerged in the world of “BMF” after it was announced that Judge Mathis would executive produce a biopic on “the First Lady of BMF,” Tonesa Welch. Moreover, 50 Cent took to Instagram to blast the Vivica A. Fox-directed film for some inaccuracies, particularly regarding Tonesa’s gang ties. “This should say 263, not BMF, @southwest263,” 50 wrote via an Instagram post. “What the f**k is this man! Vivica ugh, so [you’re] not gonna ever leave me alone hun? And what the f**k is Judge Mathis doing in this mix? I’m done, I’m done with all you n***as LOL.”

After that, the TV judge responded to the New York MC and business mogul with some Instagram comments of his own. “You my guy,” he clarified to Fif in his message. “Let Tonesa eat! The first lady of BMF. You know, I know Lala’s doing a hell of a job- but y’all haven’t fed Toni. I’m from Detroit, and they’re from Detroit- that’s how I’m involved. These are Detroiters, man. We cut from the same cloth. I respect you, man, I respect your work. Now, let us get some money.”

Judge Mathis Has No Ill Will Towards 50 Cent After Brief “BMF” Spat

Now, TMZ just shed some more light on the situation after they ran into Judge Mathis at the LAX airport. During their conversation, the 63-year-old said that he has no hard feelings towards 50 Cent for their small spat online. However, it seems like he still expressed excitement about continuing with his project and giving it the proper platform. Regardless about the technical details of the film’s title, Mathis stated he just wants to give Detroit and Tonesa some shine on the BET+ flick, which will premiere later this year.

Also, he made it clear that he doesn’t intend to beef with 50 Cent in the streets or anywhere, for that matter. In addition, Judge Mathis maintained that he doesn’t mind the “Many Men” artist’s jabs because they come from similar struggles and environments. Apparently, he showed TMZ his bullet wounds, and has a lot of respect for what 50 overcame. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Judge Mathis, 50 Cent, and the BMF universe.
