Right now, there is a viral interview of Jennifer Lopez making the rounds on TikTok, where the pop star appears to be discussing a “rice hack” diet to lose weight, according to HITC. So, what’s going on here?
Is Jennifer Lopez’s Rice Water Hack Real?
No.
While Lopez did appear on The Dr. Oz Show years ago, she instead was discussing the importance of drinking regular water.
“Water,” she actually said. “Lots of water. Believe it or not, it does help keep your weight down. It obviously keeps you hydrated… for me, it just feels good. It’s mostly what I drink all the time… I just drink it all day, it’s the thing I drink.”
Instead of the original audio, a fake one has been added over Lopez’s appearance. “How am I staying in shape?” the fake Lopez voice says. “Forget about all the diets and training, I am using a special rice method that is helping me stay fit.”
Anyone watching should be able to (hopefully) tell that the voiceover does not match Lopez talking in the clip. The strange video then cuts to someone doing an at-home tutorial with lemon, rice, and some strange powder.
It should be said: don’t try or even believe this, whatever it is. Lopez, or any reputable celebrity for that matter, has not been promoting a “rice hack.”
Born on July 24, 1969, in the Bronx, New York, Jennifer Lopez embarked on a journey filled with dreams and determination. Her career began as a dancer, and she made her breakthrough as a Fly Girl on In Living Color. But her ambitions were far greater. The transition from dance to acting came naturally, with her first leading role in the biopic Selena (1997). However, it was not until the late 1990s that J.Lo ventured into the music industry, releasing her debut album, On the 6, which catapulted her into stardom. By 2024, her relentless efforts have amassed a net worth of $400 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.
More Than A Triple Threat

J.Lo’s ventures into television, such as her role as a judge on American Idol and World of Dance, further cemented her status as an entertainment mogul.

Business Ventures & Philanthropy
J.Lo’s business acumen has expanded her empire beyond entertainment. From launching her own clothing line, fragrances, and collaborating with top brands, her entrepreneurial endeavors have been a vital part of her financial success. Not one to keep her fortune to herself, Lopez’s philanthropic efforts, especially in healthcare and women’s rights, have made a significant impact. Her charitable contributions and the founding of the Lopez Family Foundation are a testament to her desire to make a difference in the world.

Fans can mark Feb. 16th on their calendars, as both the album This is Me…Now and the cinematic love story will be globally streamed on Prime Video, promising an immersive and unique experience for Lopez enthusiasts.
In an electrifying global streaming event, Jennifer Lopez launched her highly anticipated first single, “Can’t Get Enough,” along with the accompanying music video across platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram simultaneously. During the event, lasting over twenty minutes, Lopez provided insights into the creation of the single, the music video, and her upcoming album, This Is Me…Now, marking her return to the music scene after almost a decade.
The event also brought exciting news as Lopez announced the pre-order availability of her new album, offering fans eight different vinyl variants and a deluxe edition of the CD, signaling a nostalgic return to traditional physical albums. “Can’t Get Enough” is part of her forthcoming album, set to release on Feb. 16th, 2024, under her recently revealed Nuyorican/BMG partnership deal, marking a significant milestone in her musical journey. Lopez’s global streaming event gave fans an exclusive sneak peek into the highly anticipated project.
On Wednesday, January 10, Lopez released “Can’t Get Enough,” the lead single from her forthcoming album This Is Me… Now, alongside a very funny video directed by Dave Meyers. It features four weddings, the star trolling her own four-marriage history, and it’s glorious. Alas, Ben Affleck does not make an appearance.
At the beginning, Lopez marries her first husband while someone whispers to his plus-one in the crowd, “I told you she couldn’t be alone.” He holds his hand out for money, having won a bet. Later, Lopez is dancing with Derek Hough, meant to play her second husband. All the while, the same wedding guests come through with snide comments like “Third time’s the charm?” and “Don’t catch [the bouquet]; it’s cursed!” By the end, Lopez is stone-faced while overhearing off-camera men complaining about her nonstop work ethic, as well as her “defensiveness, and constant criticism.” The screen reads, “To be continued…”
As per press release, the video is from her upcoming movie This Is Me…Now: A Love Story, directed by filmmaker Dave Meyers, which is due out on Amazon Prime Video on February 16 — the same release date for Lopez’s first album since 2014’s A.K.A. Of course, This Is Me… Now is a bookend to Lopez’s 2002 album, This Is Me… Then, released in the thick of Affleck and Lopez’s first go-round. (For anyone living under a rock, Affleck and Lopez reunited in 2021 and have been married since July 2022.)
“I think it might surprise some people,” Lopez told Varietyof her single and video at the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 7. “It’s definitely kind of a meta story about the journey that it takes from getting from heartbreak back to love […] I am somewhat of an expert, you could say, in a real way. Not so much about marriage but on weddings. Again, I don’t take myself too seriously. I think that life is a crazy journey where you fall down and you get back up, and you keep trying and you never give up.”
As for This Is Me… Now, Lopez is “embracing the return to traditional physical albums,” as excerpted from the press release:
“Jennifer has created a bespoke collection of special & limited editions. This includes a deluxe CD with a stunning 40 page booklet featuring exclusive photos, plus 2 of 20 available polaroid photos. The standard vinyl comes in Jennifer’s favorite color of green, and there are also eight additional exclusive vinyls with a variety of covers and vinyl colors creating an exciting collectors series. JLovers will be treated to a signed vinyl that is available exclusively on onthejlo.com and features an emerald disc and exclusive cover. The full product offerings are available at the preorder link here.”

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been married for over a year now after the couple rekindled their relationship. During a new interview with Variety, Lopez spoke about life since their July 2022 wedding.
“We’re older now,” she said. “We’re wiser. We also know what’s important, what’s really important in life, and it’s not so much what other people think. It’s about being true to who you are.”
However, Lopez and Affleck still struggle with the effects of their 2003 breakup, when they dated for the first time. “We both have PTSD,” Lopez shared.
At the time, they had split due to pressure from the tabloids and paparazzi — which took a toll on their relationship. They had also been engaged at the time.
“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” they shared in a joint statement at the time. “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry.”
Things this time around seem to be going a bit better, as the pair made it to the altar. Lopez is also preparing her This Is Me… Now album and joint film, both of which will document parts of her relationship with Affleck.
Jennifer Lopez is giving the latest tease of her upcoming album This Is Me… Now, the sequel to the 2002 album, This Is Me… Then. Her marriage to Ben Affleck heavily influences the album.
Hitting online, Lopez shared a trailer for the album, which will come in 2024.
Jennifer Lopez has entered a new recording and publishing contract; up next will be a new album.
According to Billboard, the forthcoming ninth studio album will feature 13 tracks. The album will come on Nuyorican/BMG. It will be Lopez’s first solo album in nine years. In 2022, she dropped off a soundtrack for Marry Me alongside Maluma.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her and her team to release her first album in nearly a decade,” said Thomas Coesfeld, BMG’s CEO in a statement.
Thomas Scherer, BMG’s president of repertoire & marketing, added: “We are both excited and proud to partner with Jennifer Lopez on this long-awaited sequel to ‘This is Me… Then.’ Clearly written with love and through experience, ‘This Is Me..Now’ is uplifting and inspiring. ‘Jenny From The Block’ is back at a point in her career when her message is bigger than ever.”
Hit-Boy, Tay Keith, and more are expected to work on the project. You can see the full tracklist below.
Diddy recently reflected on rumors surrounding his relationship with Jennifer Lopez years back during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. While he denied certain things, it is true that the two used to date — making frequent headlines and red carpet appearances along the way.
Here’s what to know about Diddy and J. Lo’s past relationship.
The two originally began dating around 1999 and stayed together for a few years. In 2001, they appeared in matching outfits at the MTV Video Music Awards, and Diddy was also by her side when she wore her iconic green dress.
However, Diddy and J. Lo also had chaotic moments. She reportedly spent hours in jail after Diddy was involved in a fight — and things escalated into a club shooting. Both were arrested.
“I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin,” Lopez told Vibe Magazine in 2003 (via InStyle) about how he was unfaithful repeatedly. “I never caught him… but I just knew. He’d say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night.”
Last night, Diddy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and he sure had some interesting stories to tell. He also didn’t hold back on clearing up rumors.
“Speaking of love, I saw a guy on the internet the other day,” Kimmel said. “He said he used to be your security guard, who said that when you were dating J. Lo, Will Smith and Jada tried to pick her up on a threesome, and you were gonna beat up Will Smith. Is that true?”
For a second, Diddy stares at Kimmel with a tense expression as the audience laughs. He then breaks into laughter.
“This show has gotten crazier since the last time,” Diddy jokes back about the Will Smith rumor.
“It’s all about love, though,” Kimmel asks again. “That’s not true?”
“You really heard that?” Diddy replied. “Nah.” Kimmel and Diddy then poke fun about how you can’t believe everything you see on the internet, to which the rapper and mogul responds, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Jimmy, I thought we was friends.”
From there, the interview shifts subjects to Kimmel discussing another interview Diddy did, where he revealed that he tried toad venom. Kimmel also pointed out that Eric Andre said last week he did a similar thing that provided a psychedelic effect.
Check out Diddy discussing the Smith rumor above, starting at 7:12 into the video.
