Overall, the couple seemed to be doing great, especially when you consider how they just had a child. However, it appears as though things were not going as well as advertised. Of course, with the divorce filing came a whole bunch of rumors about what happened and why things ended the way they did.

Throughout these past couple of weeks, we have gotten numerous reports detailing how Jeezy was unhappy with how Jeannie Mai moved family members into their home. According to TMZ, some new details are now circulating about their divorce. As it turns out, their living situation is a bit messy. Due to a myriad of factors, they are still living together. Sources are saying that they both want to prioritize their daughter. However, as far as Jeezy and Jeannie Mai’s interactions around the home, they have remained fairly minimal. Needless to say, it is an awkward situation that could take a while to resolve.

Joe Budden Reacts To Jeezy & Jeannie Mai’s Divorce: “I’m Not Surprised”

Joe Budden discussed Jeezy and Jeannie Mai’s ongoing divorce during the latest episode of his podcast on Saturday. In doing so, he addressed Mai’s controversial resurfaced comments on refusing to date Black men. Budden says that news of the split “saddens” him, but he’s not surprised.

“Y’all do know that before she got married, there was that clip from her show saying she wouldn’t date a Black guy, right?” Joe Budden asked his co-hosts. “At home is where you’re going to be true to your beliefs, whatever they are. I don’t know what happened between them, but that comment, and him filing… I hope it would have worked. It saddens me that it didn’t work, because they were cute as a couple. But I’m not surprised.”

As for the full comments, Mai had been speaking about her relationship with her previous husband, Freddy Harteis, during an episode of The Real. “I loved Black guys, but for me, dark meat on the side, white [meat] keeps me mean and lean. I used to date Black men, I think they’re attractive. But what I decided to stick to is, because it just kept me happiest, was my man Freddy who happens to be white,” she said at the time. Jeezy filed for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia on September 14. He noted the marriage as being “irretrievably broken.” He is seeking joint legal custody of his and Mai’s one-year-old child.

Jeannie Mai is fighting for her marriage and combatting bad rumors online. A source close to Mai shut down the belief that the union is in the midst of divorce due to her cheating with host Mario Lopez.

According to TMZ, cheating is not the center of issues between Jeannie Mai and Jeezy. Mai co-hosted with Lopez last month, and their on-screen chemistry is professional.

Jeannie Mai is reportedly “devasted” by Jeezy’s decision to file for divorce. An insider states Mai “wants her family unit back” and hopes that Jeezy turns back on the divorce.

“The truth is Jeannie wants her marriage to work, and wants her family to be one solid unit,” a source said to Page Six. “She is devastated that Jeezy filed for divorce.”

In addition to being devasted, Jeannie reportedly “deeply loves Jeezy” and wants to work things out. “She did not get married to get divorced. This was not a part of the plan. This is not how she ever imagined things would go down.”

According to Entertainment Tonight, an insider stated, “They had different views, and each felt like their needs weren’t being completely met.” Jeezy filed for divorce last week, citing their marriage is “irretrievably broken” in the court documents.

The filing was placed in the Fulton County Superior Court, and the two have already separated. There is a prenuptial agreement in place.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jeezy is seeking joint custody of their daughter.

If completed, the divorce would end a marriage that began in March 2021. The ceremony was at their home during the pandemic.

A source close to TV host Jeannie Mai Jenkins has shut down rumors that Jenkins cheated on ex-husband Jeezy with actor and TV host Mario Lopez. Furthermore, the source told TMZ that infidelity has played no part in the high-profile divorce between the rapper and The Real host. There never appeared to be any concrete evidence supporting the claim that Jenkins had been unfaithful to Jeezy. The rumors that she strayed with Lopez appeared to rely exclusively on the fact that Jenkins had co-hosted a week of episodes of Access Hollywood with Lopez last month and the pair had good chemistry.

Perhaps the most notable of these clips is one where Jenkins appeared to admit to fetishizing Black men. “Love Black guys. However, Mai then immediately tried to walk it back after being, rightfully called out for essentially saying she wants her “main man” to be white.

Many people online have called out this clip as Mai fetishizing Black men, especially as she refers to them as “dark” later in the clip. Furthermore, people have taken issue with how casually and blatantly Mai refers to it. Not only does she refer to men as “meat”, but she also casually admits to enjoying having a Black man as a side piece to sate her attraction to Black men. Funky Dineva Shares Theories About Jeezy & Jeannie Mai’s Divorce

Funky Dineva claims to know several of the leading factors in Jeezy’s decision to divorce Jeannie Mai. In a video shared to Instagram, this week, Dineva reported that distance between the two, a lack of privacy on social media, and several more issues contributed to the split.

“I had to call up to Altanta, baby, and find out what all the hell was going on because I know people who are in their circle,” Dineva began, before admitting that the reason for their breakup is “nothing salacious.” They also cited multiple members of Mai’s family staying at their house for an extended period of time as taking a toll on the relationship, among other topics.

The two already have a prenuptial agreement in place; however, Mai reportedly plans to contest it. Jeezy has asked the court honor to the terms of his agreement. They signed the contract before their marriage in 2021. “The parties entered into Prenuptial Agreement dated March 26, 2021, that was duly signed and executed by both Petitioner and Respondent […] and resolves all financial issues incident to this divorce.
