Jayson Tatum Shares Son’s Review Of “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse”

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the long-awaited sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. The film is another visually stunning and emotionally powerful exploration of Miles Morales as a character and the multiverse as a concept. The film currently holds a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has already made over $200 million at the box office since its June 2 release.

Much like the remake of The Little Mermaid, the film is important in terms of its representation. Into The Spider-Verse and Across The Spider-Verse put Miles Morales, who is Black, front and center. It’s a stark contrast to the MCU’s whiter-than-white Tom Holland Peter Parker, where Miles Morales has only ever been a one-line reference. The films are a chance for young Black boys to see themselves as a superhero, something that rarely happens.

Deuce Tatum Gives Adorable Review Of Across The Spider-Verse

Jayson Tatum, current Boston Celtics superstar, shared his son Deuce’s take on Across The Spider-Verse. “New spider man movie so good deuce told me “ daddy I think I changed my mind I might want to be spider man when I grow up… but I still want to be you” Good save son, good save!” Not only is the review adorable, it’s an important reminder of the impact that media can have on young people. Yes, superhero films can often be bland and generic but the really good ones? Well, they can just about inspire anybody.

However, it must be said that Deuce’s desire to grow up to be his dad is adorable. Tatum had the best season of his career in 2022/23. He averaged 30.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game, all career highs. He was named to his fourth consecutive all-star team, earning all-star MVP honors. Furthermore, he was named to his second consecutive All-NBA First Team. He helped take the Celtics to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, where they ultimately lost to the Miami Heat. However, if Deuce can balance superhero duties and a full-time NBA, more power to him. However, the NBA rulebook does not specify if web-swinging counts as a traveling violation. HEAT Blow Out Celtics to Win East Finals Game 7

The Miami Heat are moving on, as the Boston Celtics could not be the first team to come back in a series after trailing 0-3. The HEAT routed the Celtics on their home court in Game 7 to a final score of 103-84.

a

The HEAT is now the second eight-seed all-time to make the NBA Finals, following the 1999 New York Knicks. The win comes a year after the HEAT fell to the Celtics in Game 7 in last year’s conference finals, which Butler believed then this year’s win would happen.

To close out the HEAT, Butler had 28 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. He received assistance from Caleb Martin, who added 26 points and 10 rebounds, going 11-for-16 from the field.

“I just know why Coach Pat and Coach Spoelstra wanted me to be here,” Butler said. “And that’s to compete at a high level and to win championships.

“I know that the group that they put around me at all times is going to give me an opportunity to do so. … I know the work that we all put into it, so I know what we’re capable of. Nobody is satisfied. We haven’t done anything. We don’t play just to win the Eastern Conference; we play to win the whole thing.”

On the other end of the court, Celtics swingman Jayson Tatum turned his ankle on the game’s opening play, limiting his ability to play and be effective comfortably. Finishing with 14 points, Tatum referred to his play as “a shell of myself.”

Tatum added, “It was tough to move. Just frustrating, it happening on the first play.”

The HEAT now heads into the NBA Finals against the Western Conference Champion Denver Nuggets. The series will begin on Thursday.

Jayson Tatum Used A Postgame Interview To Apologize To Janet Jackson After The Celtics Finally Beat The Hawks

The Boston Celtics were expected to finish off the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 of their first-round NBA Playoffs series on Tuesday, April 25, but the Hawks won, 119-117, and forced a Game 6 for Thursday, April 27. Free basketball is rarely a bad thing, but in this case, there was a cost.

Janet Jackson already had her Together Again Tour scheduled to stop at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on April 27, meaning State Farm Arena was suddenly double-booked for Jackson and the Hawks’ Game 6.

State Farm Arena announced that Jackson’s concert was rescheduled for Friday, April 28.

Jayson Tatum felt bad for inconveniencing her. The Celtics later took care of the Hawks in Thursday night’s Game 6, 128-120. Tatum finished his on-court postgame interview by apologizing.

“I want to send an apology to the legend Janet Jackson,” the four-time All-Star said with a smile. “We were supposed to close it out in Boston. She had to postpone her show. I hope she sees this. I apologize for that, but we got it done today.”

Jackson seems totally unbothered by the ordeal. She posted highlights from her April 26 show in Atlanta, the first of two nights, and captioned the Instagram post, “Atlanta, show 1 of 2 tonight! See you again Friday (congrats Hawks!) …swipe to see the band’s fave parts of the show. #TogetherAgainTour [basketball emoji].”

Jackson might run into another scheduling issue with the New York Knicks if a Game 5 is needed against the Miami Heat in their Eastern Conference semifinals series, which will begin this Sunday, April 30. A potential Game 5 would be at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, May 10 — Jackson’s second of two nights scheduled at MSG.

Jayson Tatum Apologizes For Postponing Janet Jackson Concert

When the Atlanta Hawks beat the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their NBA playoff series earlier this year, it set a few things into motion. Firstly, it forced a Game 6 between the two teams, with the Celtics leading the series 3-2. However, as per NBA scheduling rules, that game would be played at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. This was a problem because the Hawks hadn’t booked the arena for that Thursday night game. As it had been left vacant in the booking schedule, Janet Jackson was scheduled to perform there instead.

As the Hawks are the priority user of State Farm Arena, Jackson was forced to push her concert back a day. Fans were not best pleased about the change, especially as Taylor Swift was scheduled to perform at the neighboring Mercedes-Benz Arena on Friday night as well. Not only would plans have to be rescheduled to attend, but the area around the arena would also be additionally crowded. What’s worse is that the Hawks didn’t even win the game which necessitated the concert postponement.

Celtics Star Shouts Out Jackson

With five minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Hawks were up three on the Celtics. It had been an incredibly tight, high-scoring game between the two sides as Atlanta looked to force a Game 7. However, the Celtics outscored their opponents 18-7 over the final five minutes to clinch a series win and set up a rivalry series with the Sixers. Jayson Tatum had 30 points and 14 rebounds for the Celtics in the win, playing a vital role in the victory as he has done all series.

However, the upcoming battle with the Sixers wasn’t what was on his mind during his post-game, on-court interview. “It’s gonna be fun, it’s gonna be exciting. I wanna enjoy this moment right now,” Tatum said of the impending Sixers series. “I wanna send an apology to the legend Janet Jackson. We were supposed to close out in Boston but she had to postpone her show. I hope she see this and know that I apologize for that. But we got it done today.” It was a gracious and heart-warming moment from the Celtics star, who was sure to acknowledge Jackson’s iconic status.

Jaylen Brown Reveals Feelings On Playing With Jayson Tatum

Jaylen Brown is one-half of one the most dominant duos in the NBA. Brown, alongside Jayson Tatum, has already accomplished so much in a short time. The Boston Celtics stars are currently the defending Eastern Conference Champions. They’ve had the league on notice since the first time they shared the court. However, when a team has two stars, many believe it is only a matter of time before they split. But Brown doesn’t seem to have that mentality.

Brown has the exact opposite belief about the super duo. In a recent interview with Shams Charania, Brown opened up on his relationship with Tatum. “I get why people try to break up duos because so far, (Jayson and I) have been incredibly successful. At this point, we’re part of each other’s destiny.” Brown is of the opinion that this team has a lot left in the tank. Even Stephen A. Smith believes they are the best team in the NBA this season.

Jaylen Brown & Jayson Tatum Could Be A Problem For Years To Come

Brown doesn’t hold a grudge toward Tatum for any of his successes. According to Brown, “Him being the All-Star MVP, celebrating him getting the gold medal…that brings genuine joy for me. I appreciate him sharing those moments. We’re kind of a part of each other’s destiny in a sense.” Jaylen Brown is saying all the things you want to hear from a teammate. His comments also sound like they are coming from a genuine place.

Brown and Tatum know that the job isn’t finished. They gave the Golden State Warriors everything they wanted and more in last year’s finals. However, the Celtics still found themselves on the losing end. But, one can learn even in defeat. The Celtics know what it takes to get to the mountaintop. Now the only question left is, can they plant their flag at the top? Do you believe the Celtics have what it takes to win the NBA Finals? Sound off in the comment section below.
