Bradley Beal Reportedly Got Tilted By Hyped Prospect Cooper Flagg

Cooper Flagg is one of the most coveted prospects of the 2025 recruiting class. Currently ranked as the #2 player in the class by ESPN, everyone wants the 6’8, 200lb forward who is widely considered the best rim defender currently playing at the high school level. Flagg, at the time of writing, has 11 collegiate offers, including Duke. He is currently playing out of the Montverde Academy in Florida.

However, if currently circulating rumors are to be believed, Flagg recently got into with an established NBA star. According to Sean Deveney of Heavy, Flagg recently attended a basketball camp hosted by Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics. Additionally, Helping with the camp was Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns, who is a good friend of Tatum’s. Furthermore, if Deveney’s reporting is correct, Beal and Flagg really got into it at the camp.

“I heard a rumor that my boy Cooper Flagg was at Jayson Tatum’s camp and he was busting Brad Beal 1-on-1, and Brad Beal got mad at him. Started cussing him out,” Scalabrine said. “This dude is a major trash-talker. … So I guess the rumor is that Brad Beal and him were squaring off 1-on-1 and Brad Beal was taking it lightly. It’s a high school kid. Then Cooper started giving it to him. And I guess the rumor is, Cooper started talking trash and Bradley Beal got mad. Really mad,” said Brian Scalabrine, a former NBA player who has worked with Flagg as a private trainer. While the story should be taken with a grain of salt, it goes to show the legend that Flagg is building for himself.

As mentioned, Flagg is currently the #2 player in the Class of 2025. However, as one NBA scout put it, “He will be the No. 1 pick,” one scout told Heavy Sports. “It is just a matter of what year he comes in. But even if he were to get hurt or something, he’d probably be No. 1 still.” Despite the competition for that first-choice status, Flagg could make it a moot point if he reclassifies to the Class of 2024, as many expect him to do. That would mean he would be eligible for the NBA Draft in 2025, where his biggest competition to go first overall would be Tre Johnson or Airious Bailey.

Strippers Say Ja Morant Never Apologized For Gun Incident

Ja Morant has been in the news a lot as of late. On May 14, Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant was indefinitely suspended by the team pending an NBA investigation. It came as a result of, for the second time in 2023, Morant appearing on Instagram Live with a gun. The video, which went viral on social on May 13, appeared to occur while Morant was cruising with longtime friend Davonte Pack. While Morant has apologized, the NBA is yet to announce a punishment for him. A lot of people have spoken out about the incident. They range from defenders such as BlocBoy JB to moderates such as JJ Redick. However, they are also a wide range of detractors, such as Stephen Jackson and Charles Barkley.

However, as mentioned, this was not the first time Morant had gotten in trouble for flashing a gun in public. In March, Morant was suspended for eight games after flashing a gun on Instagram Live while at a strip club in Denver. However, the strippers at the club, have now revealed some shocking details.

Strippers Reveal That Morant Never Apologized

Speaking with The New York Post, a number of employees at Shotgun Willie’s where Morant’s first gun-flashing incident claimed that Morant never apologized. Furthermore, they aren’t holding their breath for that to change. “I don’t foresee an apology [anytime] soon,” one of the dancers told the Post, “He’s a boy.”

Additionally, a number of the employees shared their opinions on Morant’s second suspension. “He’s clearly begging for attention and trying to be a baller — he should be banned from all clubs and get his NBA career taken away given our country’s current circumstances on gun violence.” However, not everyone criticized Morant. After the incident initially happened, the club’s owner Deborah Dunafon called Morant “exceptionally respectful, and sweet.” What do you think Morant’s punishment from the NBA will be? Future Is Reportedly Working On “Dirty Sprite 3”

According to his long-time friend, Future is currently working on Dirty Sprite 3. The news was broken by Young Scooter, who took to Instagram with the cryptic message “#DIRTYSPRITE3” followed by three zipper face emojis. This year, Future has already released the single “Blackout ft. Joyner Lucas”. Furthermore, the artist recently headlined the Future and Friends Tour.

Of course, Dirty Sprit 3 would be the third installment in the iconic rapper’s Dirty Sprite series. That all began in 2011 with Future’s mixtape, Dirty Sprite. That was followed by the studio album DS2 (Dirty Sprite 2) in 2015. While Dirty Sprite didn’t chart, DS2 went three-times platinum and was the first of seven consecutive #1 albums for the rapper. Future currently jointly holds the record for most top 10 albums by a rap artist at 16.

Young Scooter’s Instagram post is the word that Future is working on a new album. The rapper’s last release was 2022’s I Never Liked You, which was certified platinum. Given the lack of details, we don’t know who might feature Dirty Sprite 3. DS2 had just one featuring artist – Drake on “Where Ya At”. Meanwhile, I Never Liked You featured Ye, Gunna and Yung Thug, Drake and Tems, EST Gee, Kodak Black, Babyface Ray, 42 Dugg and Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Young Scooter.

However, a potential new album isn’t the only thing Future is up to. It has also been reported that he has a collaboration with Metro Boomin on the soundtrack of Across The Spider-Verse. The Metro Boomin-led soundtrack drops on June 2 along with the film. This plus a new album spells a big year for the legendary musician. Are you excited about Dirty Sprites 3? Who do you want to see featured on the album? Let us know in the comments below. Be sure to follow all the latest music news here at HotNewHipHop.

Jay-Z Sabotaged His Own Artists, Says TK Kirkland

Did Jay-Z purposely hold back his own artists so that they didn’t become more successful than him? According to a new rumor, that may have been the case. TK Kirkland, a comedian hailing from Compton, recently spoke with The Art of Dialogue. He had quite a bit to say about Jay’s alleged behind-the-scenes behavior. Apparently, he was told the information straight from a record executive. TK Kirkland isn’t exactly the first source one might think of for insider information. However, he doubles down in the interview, confirming that he “knows everyone.”

Kirkland accused Jay of deliberately impeding the commercial success of his Roc-A-Fella artists. Allegedly, he wanted to prevent them from surpassing him in popularity. “Beanie Sigel was the sh*t, n*gga. They would only let Beanie Sigel sell so many records,” Kirkland says in the video below. “This came from an executive at Roc-A-Fella… And they would only let Beanie sell so many records, and that was it. They wouldn’t push it no more.” The comedian went on to say, “You couldn’t be bigger than Jay-Z on Jay-Z’s label. Interestingly, this is not the only rumor making the rounds about Jay this week.

Jay-Z’s Illegitimate Son

Rymir Satterthwaite is a 30-year-old man who claims to be Jay-Z’s illegitimate son. The man has been attempting to obtain a paternity test from the rapper for the past ten years. Despite his efforts, Jay has managed to avoid complying with the request. Unfortunately, Rymir’s mother, Wanda, passed away in 2019 due to medical complications. However, Rymir has recently shared a signed affidavit from his mother, which was unsealed, with DailyMail.

The document, dated February 2015, recounts Wanda’s claims that she met Jay-Z as a teenager in New York, where they spent a night together at his aunt’s apartment in Brooklyn. Though they initially used protection, it failed, resulting in Wanda’s pregnancy. Wanda maintained that Jay-Z was Rymir’s father until her death, but the rapper’s lawyers have denied all of the family’s claims throughout their legal battle. What do you think of all of the new rumors about Jay recently? Do you believe any of them or are people using his name for clout? Sound off in the comments!

Joe Budden Addresses $250K Jay-Z Verse Rumor

Joe Budden recently addressed rumors that Jay-Z was down to remix one of his tracks with a verse… if he forked over $250K. Moreover, that’s an insane amount even by today’s feature standards, but the podcaster couldn’t confirm or deny that that was the amount. Furthermore, he addressed such rumors on the Drink Champs podcast on Revolt TV, after hosts DJ EFN and N.O.R.E. pressed him about it. While he spoke about trying to get Hov to remix his hit “Pump It Up” from 2003, he confirmed reports that the New York legend was down to do so. However, Budden hesitated on the details.

“That’s the rumor. That’s a rumor,” the former Everyday Struggle host stated. “I didn’t personally ask him. I couldn’t personally speak to him,” he said before stating that A&R Skane reached out to Jay in his stead. At the time I’m not ranting anywhere. I just don’t know how to receive that. I just know that I don’t have 250 grand, I think Webb put the battery in my back. [He said], ‘You gon’ let him do that? Nah, you gotta get to the studio right now!’ I don’t think that was a big number, I think that was his number. ‘That’s my number to rap on this new artist’s remix.’ It was just big in my world, but it wasn’t a big number.

Jay-Z May Or May Not Have Wanted $250K For A Verse, Says Joe Budden

Their conversation about the rumored “Pump It Up” price begins around the 5-minute mark.

“Listen, I’m super young in that moment,” the 42-year-old continued. “I wasn’t in the studio when [Skane] had the conversation. I knew that they had some type of relationship. It was a Just Blaze beat, and I was green behind the ears. I just thought that it would get done. I didn’t know anything about the business and how things like that are supposed to go. That was par the course… It was big to me because it was unattainable… but the blessing was that he gave a number.”

Moreover, these comments come after the “Big Pimpin’” star’s comments about not charging often for features. Furthermore, he said “it’s actually always been mostly relationships” to Kevin Heart on his Hart to Heart series last year. “Sometimes it’s talent and sometimes someone asks me to be on something. Pretty much every song that I’m on I’m asked to be on. I don’t ask people to be on their songs. I never charge.” Regardless of your take, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Joe Budden and Jay-Z.

BIA Denies Switching Up On Cardi B

BIA just took to TikTok and denied that she switched up on Cardi B, despite what many fans online believe. Apparently, discussion online fostered after BIA deleted all her tweets relating to Cardi before she went live with Nicki Minaj. For those of you unaware, the two female MCs have a long and storied beef going on. Moreover, the Massachusetts rapper gave her side of the story online and said that she hasn’t even met Cardi B in person. As such, she said it’s all love and that people took those signs too seriously.

“Keep it 100,” the “London” MC began. “Sweetie, I didn’t switch up on anybody because I don’t know Cardi in real life. I’ve never met Cardi, we’ve never had a conversation. Like, I don’t have no issues with her, it’s all love, but I don’t know her. Y’all do too much on this app, I don’t know her in real life. We don’t know each other [a friend added, “Shout out to her”]. We don’t know them. Ask me about somebody I know. Ask me about somebody I’ve met in real life, not online.”

BIA Denies Beef With Cardi B

Despite BIA’s words, many social media users still aren’t buying that tale, and kept bringing up the deleted tweets. Also, this becomes even murkier when you consider the other rap beefs that Nicki is involved in, and some threw out conspiracies that she’s turning rappers against each other. While she recently threw apparent subliminals at Megan Thee Stallion and Latto, a lot of the Internet conversation might just be trying to pit these artists against each other.

Meanwhile, BIA recently put out a single “SIXTEEN” ahead of her Rolling Loud L.A. performance. Of course, it’s still quite a banger, but it also contained some of her most emotionally vulnerable material yet. “Take me back to when I lost my job, I told ’em, ‘F**k you,’” she rapped. “I came from a place where there’s nobody to look up to / We weren’t broke together, tell me how the f**k I trust you? / I left mama house, bitch, I ain’t have nowhere to run to.” Time will tell whether these alleged beefs and conflicts will work her way into her material as well. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on BIA and Cardi B.
