Young Chop Reportedly Released From Jail After Over Two Years

Things appear to be looking up for Young Chop, as reportedly, he’s been released from jail after over two years. Chopsquad DJ took to his Instagram Story earlier today to share the news, posting a photo of the Chicago producer smiling on a FaceTime call. “Young Chop feee,” he captioned the photo simply. According to XXL, he was arrested in April of 2022 for allegedly jumping bail.

His legal issues began in April of 2020, however, when he was arrested for alleged reckless conduct. This arrest took place after he allegedly went searching for 21 Savage in an Uber amid their internet beef. Allegedly, he brandished a gun at a car that pulled up next to the Uber, prompting someone in the car to shoot at the Uber. Young Chop was arrested just a few days later for allegedly violating his probation and accused of aggravated cruelty to animals for allegedly starving a dog to death.

Chopsquad DJ Announces Young Chop’s Release From Jail

For now, fans have yet to hear from Young Chop directly, though DJ Akademiks’ comments section is flooded with Instagram users asking him to go live and predicting what’s to come. “He finna have the biggest troll comeback of 2025,” one user speculates. “Get in that lab and turn sh*t up,” another demands. News of Young Chop’s release comes just a few months after footage of him allegedly getting into an altercation with another inmate behind bars surfaced online. The footage surfaced in June of this year, and the altercation allegedly occurred in April.

During the intense encounter, Young Chop sucker-punched the other inmate in the back of the head, prompting an all-out brawl. “Back the f**k up,” the man could be heard yelling in the shocking video. “He gotta go.” After telling them to stop, a correctional officer deployed his taser on the other inmate, ending the fight. Both of them were later taken away in handcuffs.

Charleston White Celebrates Release From Jail By Dissing YSL Woody’s Disabled Daughter

Earlier this month, Charleston White was reportedly arrested in Texas for alleged aggravated assault, and “killing, poisoning or causing serious bodily injury to an animal without the owner’s consent.” He was in custody at Lon Evans Corrections Center, but now, he’s been released. In a clip shared today by DJ Akademiks on X, White is seen celebrating his newfound freedom with some fans.

It appears as though the internet personality hasn’t wasted any time getting back to business as usual either. In another clip, he goes off about YSL Woody and disses his disabled daughter. He and Woody have been going back and forth for several weeks now. Reportedly, White’s latest rant was in response to Woody celebrating his arrest.

Charleston White Slams YSL Woody & His Disabled Daughter In Unhinged Rant

The rant itself was unhinged, and in it, he essentially argued that his child was better than Woody’s. The clip arrives roughly a month after Woody called White out for trash-talking him in interviews. During a conversation with Adam22 in September, he revealed that he lost respect for White after seeing him switch up. “I had [love] for you,” he explained. “I thought that you had that same thing for me. But you wanna get on these platforms and say I’m a killer.”

Since then, White has put Woody on blast for his role in Young Thug’s case and more. Woody even suggested that White might have left a tracking device in his car earlier this month. What do you think of Charleston White getting out of jail following his latest arrest? What about him immediately going on an unhinged rant about YSL Woody and his disabled daughter after the fact? Did he cross the line or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Blueface’s Mom Karlissa Saffold Plans Welcome Home Party Ahead Of Court Hearing

Blueface has certainly dealt with no shortage of legal drama as of late, but reportedly, that could all come to an end soon. The rapper is currently behind bars in California for an alleged probation violation and has a hearing scheduled for July 29. While there are no guarantees, fans hope that this will mark the end of his stay. Evidently, so does his mother Karlissa Saffold.

Saffold recently chatted with TMZ about her son’s legal woes, revealing that she already has a “surprise return home party” in the works. According to her, she’s planning to host it the day after Blueface’s hearing, if it goes as she expects. After all, he did just recently receive his sentence for his case in Vegas. He won’t serve additional time for that as long as he complies with the conditions of his probation.

Karlissa Saffold Hopes Blueface Gets Out On July 29

Saffold undoubtedly hopes her son returns home as soon as possible, though she has found a silver lining to his stint in jail. She says she thinks it could have been a much-needed opportunity for him to take a pause and evaluate his life, and calls it a valuable learning experience. “I don’t think that he’ll ever change,” she said with a laugh. “But I’m praying that you know, wisdom will come in a different fashion.”

Blueface isn’t the only one of Chrisean Jr.’s parents behind bars at the moment, as his mother Chrisean Rock is also serving time for alleged assault with a deadly weapon in California. She’s expected to get extradited to Oklahoma, where she’s facing marijuana possession charges, after her 30-day stay. What do you think of Blueface’s mother Karlissa Saffold revealing that she’s planning a surprise party for his return home? What about her hoping he’s released after his court hearing later this month? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Rod Wave Released From Jail, Officials Confirm Gun Charges Weren’t “Accurate”

Earlier this week, Rod Wave was arrested at his home in Palmetto, FL on two counts of illegal possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. Fortunately for the “Long Journey” performer, however, those charges are now confirmed to have been inaccurate. Yesterday, he was released from jail only hours after his arrest.

“He was arrested on a charge that was later determined not to be accurate, so he was released,” St. Petersburg PD spokesperson Yolanda Fernandez said yesterday. “This investigation is still open, it’s still ongoing and we are still looking to arrest more people and additional charges could be forthcoming.”

Rod Wave’s Lawyer Says Rapper Is Not A Convicted Felon

According to Rod Wave’s lawyer Mark Rankin, officials had nowhere near enough evidence to convict the rapper. Apparently, he’s also not a convicted felon. “The entire basis of that allegation was that the ammunition was on a kitchen counter or a table adjacent to a folder that had some papers with his name inside. That’s it,” he said of the incident. “That’s certainly not enough to charge somebody and certainly not enough to convict him… If you took two minutes to look at his record online, you would see that he’s not a convicted felon. And these are police officers that know how to check somebody’s criminal record.”

Rankin says that his client was convicted of a felony back in 2017 for carrying a concealed firearm. The charge was later reduced to a misdemeanor. What do you think of Rod Wave getting arrested earlier this week after police searched his home and accused him of illegally possessing a firearm? What about him getting released because the charges weren’t accurate? Are you surprised? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Kai Cenat “Released” From Seven-Day Prison Stream: Watch

If you lived under a rock- well, if you don’t follow streaming these days, which can feel like the same thing- you might’ve missed that Kai Cenat spent seven days in prison recently. Not real jail, mind you, but rather a simulation of prison life with celebrity guests, challenges, and a whole lot of antics. Now, we’re getting footage of his “first day out” following his seven-day prison stream, where he kept the feed up around the clock and broadcasted the whole thing. While meeting with his friends, they bestowed icy chains upon the Twitch giant amid his excitement to be out. Overall, it seems like he made a lot of money off of this, something that even his online detractors have expressed respect for.

Whether or not the New York native had to go this far for clicks, views, and donations, though, is another debate. Upon his release, many folks opened up the floodgates of that debate once again. Some feel like Kai Cenat exploited a public interest in prison, glorifying it and making light of the circumstances that fuel the system while not dealing with its actual consequences. Others just liked to gawk at the content throughout, and though his hustle was well-earned.

Kai Cenat’s “First Day Out” After Seven-Day Jail Stream

Regardless of what you think of this seven-day prison stream, the 21-year-old definitely increased his profile with it. Even if it was mostly due to the debate that people engaged in over the righteousness of this, that engagement shows that people are tuning in. Kai Cenat might not be the most famous face under the sun, but who else can say that they had an entire audience locked in and active for seven full days in a row- and from a prison simulation, for that matter? If anything, criticism of this stream is more about its concept than it is about him as a creator or personality.

Kai Still Has That Energy After Prison

Meanwhile, what do you think about this? Are you celebrating the social media giant’s “first day out” or do you think he needs a couple more days in? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments section down below. Also, come back to HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Kai Cenat.

Boosie Badazz Has Triumphant “First Day Back” With New Album

To everyone’s surprise, Boosie Badazz is not only back after a brief stint in jail, but he’s also back to dropping music immediately. Moreover, he just released First Day Back, a ten-track album that, in some pockets, fits the vibe of someone who just got his freedom. Of course, it’s unclear how much of this album was recorded and mixed before his incarceration, but it’s still the same old Baton Rouge MC that you know. For example, his vocal performances here are as nasal and expressive as ever, shifting between passionate singing and aggressive verses. When he got out of jail, he already celebrated plenty on IG Live, and odds are he has a lot more to celebrate now.

“He’s baaaaack!” Boosie started off his first Instagram Live after release from jail, where he ended up after being arrested on federal gun charges. “I wan’ thank God. I got chairs on my knees, I been praying so much. My family, all the prayer warriors who came to San Diego to support me. Yeah, Boosie Boo. Yeah! BET, I need three tickets. Boosie Badazz Celebrates Release From Jail With Hilarious Request

Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz was initially arrested by federal agents on June 14. Later, it was revealed that Boosie was facing felony gun charges as a result of being spotted with a firearm during an Instagram Live session. Despite reportedly being granted bond on June 20, federal prosecutors appealed the decision. Furthermore, the appeal was upheld, a decision Boosie called discriminatory on social media. “He [the prosecutor] is racist and has evil intentions,” Boosie Badazz said. “Now they filed an appeal asking another judge to keep me in prison.”

However, on June 23, it was reported that Boosie had been granted a second bond. Later that same day, Boosie was seemingly released from the San Diego jail where he was being held. While his initial bond was $50,000, the size of his new bond was not immediately made available. To celebrate, he immediately jumped on another live session to announce his freedom.

Someone outside the car Boosie is sitting in yells “Badazz!” causing the rapper to once again get riled up. “That’s me! I’m back! Boosie Boo! That’s me! I’m back! I’m drivin’ the jeep. First day back. Prussia! You can get a ride now. But BET, I need three tickets. I need a haircut. Oh man, I’m outta breath already. Boosie’s baaaaaack!” At this time, it is unclear what the next legal steps for Boosie are. A bond grant does not mean that the charges have been dropped. This is a developing story and we’ll have any updates here at HotNewHipHop.

Gunna Drives Around In New Video

Fans recently spotted Gunna driving around in a new video posted to social media. Moreover, the Georgia native drove what seemed to be a black Porsche. “Picture Me Rollin’” by 2Pac played in the background, although it’s unclear if Gunna or the person recording him played that. Also, the rapper seemed alone in the clip, and rolled up a little window before driving off. Overall, it’s one of the 29-year-old’s only public appearances since his plea deal. If you don’t recall, Gunna pleaded guilty in the YSL case, snitching on the collective in many’s eyes.

Furthermore, one of Gunna’s other recent public appearances was his return to social media. “N***as acting like they switching to a side But it’s only one side,” he wrote on Instagram. ““#YslTheLabel #FreeThug&Yak GUNNA BACK!!!!!” However, the conversation around his return was divisive, to say the least. “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements,” Gunna claimed. “[I] have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” he wrote upon his release.

Afterwards, people from every corner chimed in on the situation. For example, YSL co-founder Mondo is a recent example of an industry figure questioning his actions. “I’m talking personally, on everything I love, I’m talking I know what’s going on,” Mondo told the Ugly Money podcast. “Boy, you ain’t supposed to do that, my brotha. Even if I did be talking to nobody, everybody who got common sense, everybody who’s been in the streets know, you do not, boy, you don’t do no sh*t like that.”

“I always said, bruh, he was a good genuine n*gga,”. “You can’t say, ‘Oh, they tricked me,’ or ‘Oh, I ain’t talked,’ or ‘I don’t know what’s going on.’ Come on. It’s certain sh*t you just don’t do. And hey boy, you crossed the line. You did that.” As always, log back into HNHH for the latest news on Gunna and the YSL case.

03 Greedo Says He’s Free From Jail, But Not Out Yet

03 Greedo just released a statement explaining that, even though he’s out of jail, he’s not quite free yet. While authorities granted him parole and announced his release earlier this year, it seems that there’s still some ground to cover. Moreover, the L.A. MC made an Instagram post explaining the ordeal.

“Yes, I am free from prison but I am still not completely out,” he wrote. “For anyone confused I am in a halfway house for up to 6 months with a five minute phone call a week.”

Although officials locked him up in 2018 after a 2016 arrest, don’t think that he hasn’t kept busy. In fact, just when his parole was announced, he released the Free 03 mixtape to fans’ surprise. Additionally, the 15-track project featured appearances from Drakeo The Ruler, OhGeesy, KenTheMan, and the BlueBucksClan. Also, it was entirely produced by Mike Free.

“Where I am I just want to see my daughter and record music,” he continued. “I wish I could have released alot more music while I was away. So, I have this chip on my shoulder to just go record n drop at least 12 tapes before my major album and I honestly just don’t want to talk to alot of people yet. I got a lot I want to clear in my head first.”

Moreover, the 35-year-old’s relationships in the industry were strong and will last for all time. When his friend Drakeo The Ruler passed last year, Greedo made a tribute post to his “evil twin.” Later on in his recent statement, he talks about his mindset following his ordeal.

“So, if I’m not recording with you or laying with you, I’m not inna rush to talk after damn near 5 years,” he wrote. “Just being honest! Salute to the GeeHive and all my supporters, I love you. Thank u for keeping me alive while I was incarcerated.
Yours Truly, Cheeto.”

Still, what do you think of 03 Greedo’s statement about not being quite free from jail time just yet? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for the latest updates on 03 Greedo and his jail time.
