Sexyy Red Celebrates Drake’s Birthday: ‘Most Humblest Person I Kno’

Sexyy Red Drops New Pic with Drake: 'I'm With My Man'

Sexyy Red is showing birthday love to her baby daddy Drake on Instagram. “Happy Birthday to one of the nicest most humblest person I kno,” Sexyy wrote. “LOVE U BD ENJOY YO MONTH.”

Drake made sure he turned the strip club up. To celebrate his birthday, The Boy pulled up to an Area 29 strip club in Houston, and he didn’t make it rain. He’s better than that. Drake simply handed out stacks of money for the dancers to enjoy on their own—icon behavior. You can see it all below.

But you don’t have to be a dancer to get a gift from Drake on his birthday. The Canadian rapper is celebrating by treating fans to a free slider at Dave’s Hot Chicken, a fast-growing restaurant chain in which he’s an investor.

Smart marketing, much?

What’s more, Drake’s decision to offer free chicken may be due to backing a business he believes in. Dave’s Hot Chicken started in 2017 as a late-night pop-up in a Los Angeles parking lot, launched by a couple of friends. Since then, it has grown rapidly, with over 200 locations across the United States.

The giveaway runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, but there’s a catch. The free slider must be redeemed in-store via the restaurant’s app—so delivery apps like DoorDash won’t get you the freebie.

South Florida already boasts two Dave’s Hot Chicken spots, one in Pembroke Pines and a new location in Aventura, with Wynwood rumored to be next.

Get this, Drake spoke about his involvement with the brand, saying, “I tried the food and it was amazing. After meeting the founders and hearing their story, I jumped at the opportunity.”

As the name suggests, the restaurant specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken. Their spicy tenders are fried to crispy perfection and come in a range of heat levels, from mild to the extreme “Reaper.” For the Reaper, customers need to be at least 18 and sign a waiver due to its intensity.

Bill Phelps, CEO of Dave’s Hot Chicken, believes that the fiery food will keep people coming back. “As this brand expands from coast-to-coast and abroad, it’s the authenticity of the food, founders, team members, and investors, like Drake, that ensures we’ll continue to blow people’s minds,” Phelps said.

So, if you’re near a Dave’s Hot Chicken on Drake’s birthday, head in for a spicy treat on him.

Drake Clowns Haters Who Wished Him “Dead” In Celebratory Birthday Post

It’s Drake season. The rapper has repped October from the very start of his career. He was even going to drop a birthday edition of his magnum opus, Take Care, at one point. Drake has also had a rough year. He took more hits than he ever has before, and lost what is widely considered to be the best rap battle of all time. Drake suffered disses from Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, ASAP Rocky, and of course, Kendrick Lamar. He was someone that people wanted to see “eliminated,” in the words of Kanye West. And he wanted to remind fans that he’s still here.

Drake hopped on Instagram to post a photo of him and his mother, Sandra Graham. The two appear to be in a club setting with stacks of money in their hands. The caption is short and sweet, in that it makes clear the fact that Drake hasn’t been eliminated. “They pictured me dead,” he wrote. “But that was just imagination 💘 one more year pon dem.” The use of Jamaican slang feels purposeful on his part, as K. Dot openly criticized him for being a culture vulture. It seems as though he doesn’t plan to stop showing love to other cultures anytime soon.

The industry’s feeling toward Drake has shifted somewhat in recent weeks. People like Metro Boomin and Future have seemingly softened their stance on the 6 God since the dust of the Kendrick Lamar feud has settled. Metro Boomin was asked about the feud during a recent panel, and he asserted that he has love for everybody involved, including Drake. “As far as me being diplomatic, it’s just entertainment,” he opined. I have love and respect for all my collaborators. I just want to see everyone do the best.”

Future also seemed to extend an olive branch to Drake via social media. Young Thug, who has been far too busy with legal matters to engaged in beef, tweeted about his desire to reconcile. “@Drake @1future @MetroBoomin,” he wrote. “We all bruddas. Music aint the same without us collabin.” Future went on to like the tweet. The 6 God is also slated to attend 21 Savage’s upcoming birthday party alongside Metro Boomin. Hopefully we see more celebratory posts, and less hostile ones.

Rihanna Praises “GOAT” Kendrick Lamar For Doing Super Bowl Halftime Show

Rihanna is on the short list of artists who have done the Super Bowl Halftime Show. She’s the only artist who has performed at the show while pregnant. She has a unique perspective on the responsibility and the honor that comes with being selected as a Super Bowl performer. This is why she’s so excited to see what Kendrick Lamar does with the opportunity. She was recently asked about K. Dot’s Halftime gig. She she made it very clear that it is well-deserved.

Rihanna gave her Kendrick Lamar thoughts to Entertainment Tonight. The outlet inquired about her desire to see the rapper perform in New Orleans in 2025. She could not have been more hyped in her response. “GOAT,” Rihanna asserted. “He deserves it. I cannot wait to see it.” She even thanked Lamar for agreeing to take on the gig. Rihanna, who has a famously rocky personal history with Drake, also gave Lamar flowers for the massive year that he’s had. Kendrick Lamar, of course, defeated Drake in massive rap beef that that spawned hits like “Like That” and “Not Like Us.”

Rihanna Claims That K Dot United Hip Hop Culture

“Kendrick Lamar is the one that’s supposed to do it right now,” Rihanna proclaimed. “We should never doubt him. He’s an amazing artist, top-tier. He had an incredible year.” The “Diamonds” singer went as far as to allude to the “Pop Out” show that Lamar hosted on Juneteenth. A show that doubled as a spot from which to bomb on Drake further. “He actually brought so many people together,” Rihanna added. “That’s what culture is.”

Kendrick Lamar has also spoken highly of Rihanna in the past. The two worked together on the hit 2017 single “LOYALTY,” and the rapper praised Rihanna’s musicality. “I love everything about her,” he stated to Zane Lowe. “The way she expresses herself through music and how she caries herself I love everything about her so I always wanted to work with her.” Both Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar have albums in the works. Rihanna has been teasing her album since 2016. Lamar, meanwhile, has kept fans on the edge of their seats since the Drake battle. Maybe we will get another collaboration in the future. Fingers crossed.

50 Cent to Drake on Beef Aftermath: ‘Why Did You Lose?’

50 Cent Plans to Get in Shape Before His 'Final Lap' Tour

What did Drake lose in the beef with Kendrick Lamar? If you ask 50 Cent, absolutely nothing. Speaking with Billboard, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper stated he didn’t believe Drake did anything “wack.”

But what about his perception after the beef? It looks solid, according to Fif.

“On some real shit, I said, ‘They said you lost, okay. Well, what did you lose?’” 50 said. “What exactly did he lose, if he got $300 something million on his last tour? You didn’t lose a motherfucking thing, man. If that’s the moment, you keep your creative energy in the right place, and keep creating.”

You can read it below.

While we’re on Drake. Last week, Young Thug took a moment away from the trial of his life to make a sincere plea straight from the Fulton County jail, urging his friends and hip-hop heavyweights Drake, Future, and Metro Boomin to figure out a way to fix their differences and hopefully their collaborative spirit. That’s deep. Like, he’s facing RICO charges and may never go home, yet he has found time to try to play peacemaker. That’s real.

It all went down Friday when the Atlanta rapper took to Twitter to address the tension that has emerged between the trio, calling for an end to the feud that has cast a shadow over their long-standing friendships.

“We all bruddas,” Young Thug wrote, tagging Drake, Future, and Metro Boomin in his message. “Music ain’t the same without us collabin.”

Unless you’ve been under a rock in the Hip-Hop world, the feud, which became public earlier this year with the release of the track “Like That,” has affected not only the hip-hop community but also the deep personal and professional ties these artists have shared.

As we can all agree, Drake, Future, Metro Boomin, and Young Thug Big have shaped the contemporary sound of hip-hop through collaborations that resulted in chart-topping hits and unforgettable projects. Drake and Future famously teamed up for the 2015 mixtape What a Time to Be Alive, while Future and Young Thug followed with their own joint project, Super Slimey, in 2017. Meanwhile, Metro Boomin has been the mastermind behind countless hits for all three artists, producing some of their most iconic tracks.

Despite their successful history, tensions have driven a serious wedge, perhaps unrepairable, between those involved. Fans have certainly felt the absence of their collaborations. Thug’s call for peace comes as he faces serious legal battles concerning his ongoing RICO case, which could result in a lengthy prison sentence. While Drake, Future, and Metro Boomin have each shown their support for Young Thug during his legal struggles, Future and Metro have been noticeably distant from Drake recently, both voicing dissatisfaction with the Toronto rapper.

What ya’ll think? Is Thugger right or should they all stand on business and go their separate ways?

Drake Reportedly Laughed The First Time He Heard This “Not Like Us” Bar

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” will go down as an all-time diss song. It will be mentioned in top fives for the rest of time, alongside Tupac’s “Hit ‘Em Up” and Ice Cube’s “No Vaseline.” The song was catchy, and its target, Drake, was somebody that fans were eager to see take an L. And so it happened. The dust has settled on “Not Like Us,” though, and podcast host Mal recently shared exclusive intel as to how Drake reacted when he first heard the song. Mal claimed the 6 God actually laughed, and revealed which bar incited the laughter.

Mal, who has a personal relationship with Drake, talked about his perspective during the beef. He stated that he spoke with Drake about diss records while they were being released, but he never knew when the records would be dropping. “We don’t really talk about the sh*t as much as people think,” he said. “We’d laugh at certain sh*t… like when we heard certain songs.” Mal then pointed to Lamar’s “Not Like Us” as a prime example. “I had texted [Drake] the bar,” the podcaster recalled. “And we just started laughing.” He then shared the bar, which saw Lamar take aim at Drake’s OVO acronym. “What OVO stand for, the other vaginal options,” the Compton rapper asked on record.

Mal And Drake Were Both Confused By Dot’s Wordplay

“What is the other vaginal option,” Mal asserted. “Why don’t we talk about that bar?” The podcaster’s point caused the rest of the panel to laugh and concede that they were unclear on the bar’s meaning as well. They then took it a step further, and posited that Lamar’s claim about Drake being a “69 God” is not inherently a bad thing. “What’s wrong with being a 69 God,” they wondered aloud. This is only the latest instance of Kendrick Lamar getting pushback for “Not Like Us” in recent days.

The Compton rapper talked about his Drake diss during a profile with Harper’s Bazaar. He claimed that the song was meant to represent his energy, and the man he is. He shied away from discussing the more heinous allegations that the song makes against Drake. This explanation did not go over well with fans or critics. Many felt the rapper was failing to take responsibility for his words. Others, like Adam22 and DJ Akademiks, put Lamar on blast for getting “softball” questions from former label mate SZA instead of agreeing to an interview with a real journalist.

RZA Claims Drake’s Team Gave Him Bad Advice During Kendrick Lamar Battle

RZA is one of the most respected producers in hip hop history. He served as the architect for the entire Wu-Tang Clan movement, and has worked on classic projects in different mediums. He possesses a lot of insight, so when he speaks on a topic, fans generally listen closely. Such was the case on October 23. RZA spoke to Complex about the Drake and Kendrick Lamar battle, and he broke down the differences between them. He also pinpointed the ways in which he felt like Drake’s people let him down.

RZA claimed that Kendrick Lamar was a “natural lyricist,” whereas Drake was a “trained lyricist.” Both men possess talent, as far as he’s concerned, but Lamar’s natural abilities ultimately gave him the edge. As least, as far as the Wu-Tang founder was concerned. “You could train a fighter and he could be good,” he noted. “Then you got those natural fighters.” RZA conceded that Drake has “bars forever,” but felt K. Dot’s bars had more potency. Especially when it came to to diss records both men released earlier in the year. RZA then turned his attention toward the OVO camp, and stated that Drake should have been told to avoid a direct confrontation.

RZA Praised Drake For His Expanding Hip Hop Culture

“The battle, bar for bar,” he explained. “Was something that was just not good advice on Drake’s camp.” RZA seems to agree with most hip hop fans that Lamar won the battle, but he made a point of giving the 6 God his flowers. “Drake is a powerful figure in our culture,” he stated. “He helped the culture when the culture needed it. He expanded it with his melodies… he rose a generation, too. You can’t take that away from him.” RZA concluded his Complex discussion by noting that Drake and Kendrick Lamar are still alive and very much active, which is what matters most.

The Wu-Tang founder told the outlet that Tupac and Biggie’s deaths added a weight to rap battles that previously hadn’t existed. RZA was present throughout the battle, and even produced records on Big’s final album. He notes that he gained wisdom and clarity over time, and put old grudges behind him. He hopes Drake and Kendrick Lamar ultimately do the same. “Hopefully, as they mature more,” RZA added. “They can go ‘Wow that sh*t was crazy.’”

DJ Akademiks Drags Kendrick Lamar For Talking To Non-Hip Hop Publications

Kendrick Lamar has spoken. The rapper came of hiding to speak with SZA for a profile with Harper’s Bazaar. The profile shed light on Lamar’s feelings towards his recent feud with Drake, as well as his plans for the future. It was well-received by fans, who appreciated the camaraderie between Lamar and SZA, as well as some of the rapper’s observations about life. One person who did not appreciate the interview, however, was DJ Akademiks. The hip hop personality took Lamar to task during his October 22 stream. His reasoning? He believed Lamar was being a hypocrite.

DJ Akademiks did not mince words when it came to his feelings about K. Dot. He feels the rapper has tricked fans into thinking he’s an advocate for the culture. While, at the same time, granting interview to publications outside of the culture. “A guy who claims he’s standing on morals and principles, but every time we see his actions, it seems like it’s not the truth,” Ak asserted. “A guy who says he’s only for the culture, but as soon as he gets an opportunity to go get on a platform that’s non-cultural, he runs to it.”

DJ Akademiks Claims K. Dot ‘Used’ Hip Hop Culture

The hip hop personality also pointed to Kendrick Lamar’s hypocrisy with regards to Colin Kaepernick. He noted that Dot stood with the former NFL star, only to turn around accept the headlining gig for the next Super Bowl Halftime Show. “He’s playing with y’all,” DJ Akademiks insisted. Ak even took it a step further by pointing out that Lamar labeled Drake a colonizer during their feud. Despite the fact that Drake has, in Ak’s opinion, made more of an effort to connect with hip hop personalities. “At least Drake tried to tap in with me, Kai [Cenat]…”

DJ Akademiks proceeded to get more worked up as the stream continued. He pointed to hip hop media figures like DJHed and Elliott Wilson, and the fact that they championed Lamar throughout the feud. Yet, when it came time to give an interview, Lamar chose to go with Harper’s Bazaar. “I told y’all this before,” Ak stated. “Kendrick used the culture, gained the Infinity Stones. And he’s still talking that Mr. Morale sh*t.” DJ Akademiks, despite being a Drake supporter, claimed that Lamar has more power than Drizzy at this point. This is partially where his frustration stems from. He feels like Dot has turned his back on hip hop now that he’s proven victorious.

Kendrick Lamar Explaining What ‘Not Like Us’ Means To Him Might As Well Be More Shots Fired At Drake

While Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss song “Not Like Us” has been a massive hit since their dust up this spring, fans have been wrestling with the meaning of its titular phrase all along. Obviously Drake is “not like us,” but just who is “us,” and what are they like? In explaining the title of his hit, K. Dot might as well have fired more shots at his onetime rival.

In an interview with his former TDE labelmate SZA for Harper’s Bazaar, Kendrick was asked to explain “what does ‘Not Like Us’ mean to you?”

“Not like us is the energy of who I am, the type of man I represent,” he replied. When asked what kind of man that is, he elaborated, “This man has morals, he has values, he believes in something, he stands on something. He’s not pandering. He’s a man who can recognize his mistakes and not be afraid to share the mistakes and can dig deep down into fear-based ideologies or experiences to be able to express them without feeling like he’s less of a man.”

All of which implies that he doesn’t think Drake is that kind of person. One day, someone’s got to get the real story on just what transpired between the two rappers that Kendrick was willing to go on such a terror campaign against the Canadian.

Seven years ago, rumors swirled that Drake and Jennifer Lopez were getting close when the rapper shared cozy photos of them while working on his More Life album. However, when the project dropped, J.Lo was nowhere to be found on the final tracklist, leaving fans wondering what had happened between the two.

Now, with Jennifer Lopez facing a fresh chapter following her brief marriage and impending divorce from Ben Affleck, insiders say Drake is wasting no time rekindling their connection. According to In Touch, the “Certified Lover Boy” has reached out to the multi-talented star, offering both flattery and support.

“As soon as she filed the papers, Drake reached out,” a source told In Touch. “He was very sweet and told her what a fool Ben is for letting her get away, and then he quickly let her know he’s ready and willing to step in and satisfy her.”

While Lopez may be taking her time to process the breakup, sources indicate that the two have been engaging in flirty late-night texts and calls. Though J.Lo has her guard up—fully aware of Drake’s reputation as a player—the insider revealed that Drake is filling the void for something lighthearted and fun, without immediate expectations of a serious relationship.

“He’s very intelligent and romantic, and she can count on him being discreet because he’s always kept her secrets in the past,” the insider added. “It’s still in the sexting stage, but she loves hearing from him and sharing sexy selfies. He’s very quick to compliment her and lays it on thick.”

While Jennifer Lopez might not see Drake as relationship material just yet, the source explained that the Canadian rapper is more than willing to step up if and when she’s ready to take things to the next level. “It’s just a matter of her being in the right headspace,” the source concluded, hinting that Drake is ready to “drop everything” and meet her at a moment’s notice.
